The Sims 4 Console: New Update Brings Visual Improvements for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro

The latest update for The Sims 4 on Console brings huge improvements when it comes to graphics quality and FPS (frames per second). This means that you’ll get to enjoy higher and better textures on your Sims along with a much smoother experience.

Uncompressed Sim Textures, a graphics option feature that’s been available on PC and Mac from the start has made it’s way to Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. Considering that these 2 consoles are capable of running and rendering higher-quality graphics it only makes sense to make this feature available for more expensive consoles.

The Uncompressed Sim Textures feature lets your Sims in live mode be fully detailed just like in CAS mode. This means that all their hair textures, clothing textures and skin textures will stay unchanged and fully detailed in live mode.

Xbox One X players can now also enjoy The Sims 4 at 60fps rather than being stuck at 30fps. This will make all animations and camera movements much more smoother and natural.

In case you don’t know, PS4 Pro already had the 60fps cap since launch. Both PS4 and Xbox One are capable of running The Sims 4 at only 30fps.

  • One thing that I don’t get, why normal PS4 cannot run on better graphic quality since it can run games with better graphic quality than sims (horizon zero dawn, destiny 2, uncharted 4, tomb raider and so on….)
