I haven't sent them since the pack came out. I really do keep meaning to but when I do take them I often find that they just end up doing everything away from each other. But then I think I need to learn to play without using speed x 3 - this is an awful habit I have of just speeding through everything in my sims lives. hoping to change that by paying more attention to my legacy family and soon, my trailer park challenge family (challenge I'm working on slowly!)
Trailer park challenge? That's sounds interesting! What's it about?
But I love the CAS assets, objects, music and all that came with Outdoor Retreat, so I don't really mind that I don't go camping. I really got it for the content.
To be honest mine rarely go, there's not that much to do and I forget I can place other lots, it needs more activities really other than horseshoes! lol
Currently recording a bit of playthrough and finalising the rules, but it revolves around one elder and four teens, locked doors, and a money-grabbing caretaker (initially the elder) - trying to keep the teens in school / work whilst only being allowed to control them rotationally... i'm ironically very bad at explaining it, but working on it bit by bit hope to share it about very soon!
Mine usually go camping as a honeymoon or for a birthday
I just like having rental lots because then, I can pick a random lot in the world, build/place a house, set it as rental, and my sims can go on vacation without the woods. I, personally, don't like going outside. I was/am a Girl Scout, I went camping and I hated it. I make me sims the same way, now that I think about it. My sims don't go on vacation, but I wish I would actually make them.
I haven't taken mine as much as I'd like but my let's play that i'm starting soon will hopefully get them out of the house!
I haven't taken my sims camping in months! I need some ideas of new things to do there, because I feel like I've experienced all there is to experience out there.
Granite Falls is beautiful, but I've only sent my Sims camping twice so far. (Maybe that's because I mostly play story households and they can't always be on vacation haha.)
I think it's nice to take newly-weds there for their honeymoon.
I've never been one for vacationing with my Sims in any Sims game, honestly. I never used Sims Vacation, I think I've only ever seriously dived into Sims 2 Bon Voyage like once and same for Sims 3 World Adventures.
Really I only use vacation destinations for honeymoons.
Never. I bought this pack because I wanted to be able to take my sims on vacation, but I hate camping. My sims stay in a retreat. I turned one of them into a spa resort and sent my rich couple to that one.
I've only been camping once
When my sims get married I take them on a Vacation like a honeymoon.
Not as often as I should! I love Outdoor Retreat though, so I need to take my Sims to Granite Falls more often.
I actually don't think I've ever went in TS4. I forget lol.
Same here, lol. Honeymoons are the only time my Sims go to Granite Falls. I feel bad for them, though, because camping out in the woods with mosquitos biting you and stuff is not even remotely romantic. I'd rather send them to a tropical beach resort or a romantic French-themed city. I always sent my newlyweds to Champs Les Sims in Sims 3 which was very romantic. Nectar tasting, sightseeing, romantic brunches at quaint little cafes with specialty coffees and delicious French pastries in a charming French village in the countryside.
I only use Granite Falls as a honeymoon destination in Sims 4 because it's the only vacation option. No one I know goes "Hey sweetie, you know what would be the best honeymoon ever? Pitching a tent up in the woods or staying in a log cabin, getting eaten alive by bugs and eating franks and beans for breakfast! Romantic, amirite?"
As much as I want nicer vacation destinations, I really shouldn't complain though. I was one of those "WHERE ARE MY TODDLERS?! I DEMAND MORE FAMILY GAMEPLAY! STOP WITH THE PARTY TRASH ALREADY, NO ONE CARES!" people and now I'm actually getting everything I was frothing at the mouth for over the past three years so it'd be pretty rude of me to just start complaining about something else instead now that I got what I want. More vacation worlds would be wonderful but I'm grateful they switched the focus to aspects of the core game that were severely lacking.
