The Sims 4 Island Living comes with four new careers including the part-time Lifeguard career. The Lifeguard career is perfect for your beach loving Sims too! This is just one of three new part-time careers that your Sim can join.

As with any career, your Sim can join the Lifeguard career simply by sitting down at a laptop/computer, using their cell phone or by the career tab on the user interface.

Note: Your Sim can have more than one part-time job, providing that the shift times do not conflict with each other.

Note: As part of The Sims4 update on 18th June 2019 your Sims can now have part-time jobs. Some of these will let you select a shift pattern which is either morning or afternoon/evening. Once you have selected on you can not change the shift time unless you quit the job and have your Sim rejoin again.

There are only three levels to the Lifeguard Career as opposed to the ten levels you see in a standard career. Each level of the career will have a promotion task that will allow your Sim to advance to the next level of the career. The Lifeguard career does not have any work from home assignments either.

The Lifeguard career also comes with a couple of interactions that you can do outside of work. Patrol for Danger where your Sim will observe their surroundings while occasionally standing in a more serious pose. The second interaction that your Sim can do is everyone’s favorite Beach Flex. It’s like dabbing only more Sims like! Both of these can be accessed when your Sim is not at work simply by clicking on the ground for Patrol for Danger or by clicking on another Sim when you want to show them your Beach Flex.
