Mods & CC to enhance your The Sims 4 Tiny Living Experience

The Sims 4 Tiny Living Stuff Pack has been out for more than a week now and modders / CC creators have been extra busy to deliver gameplay improvements and new objects for the pack!

Down below we’ve listed some of our favorite creations for the pack:

Tiny Homes – Changed Tile Limits

Do you think that the Tiny Home tiers that The Sims Team has set are a bit too extreme? This mod changes the tier requirements, switching things for Tier 1 (100 tiles), Tier 2 (200 tiles) and Tier 3 (500 tiles). With this mod you’ll be able to build much bigger homes and enjoy all of the perks of a Tiny Home!

Sinks with Slots

Not necessarily a Tiny Living mod because it doesn’t require the pack but still very useful when decorating your interior! This mod updates all of the sinks from the Base Game + previously released packs, adding slots on the sides that allow you to clutter up your sink however you want!

Mods & CC to enhance your The Sims 4 Tiny Living Experience

No Murphy Bed Death

Ensure your Sims don’t die when pulling down the Murphy Bed with this neat little mod!

Mods & CC to enhance your The Sims 4 Tiny Living Experience

Media Marathon Seperate TV

The all-in-one entertainment station from Tiny Living is neat, but doesn’t come with liberated objects that are inside of it. This CC is an object liberation of the TV used in the Media Marathoner object.

Mods & CC to enhance your The Sims 4 Tiny Living Experience

Slot Override for the Tiny Living lamp

The small table beneath the new Tiny Living lamp would’ve been great if you could place down clutter and small objects onto it. This mod makes all those wishes come true!

Mods & CC to enhance your The Sims 4 Tiny Living Experience

Toilet / Sink Combo Object

With this object your Sims will be able to both fulfill their bladder and hygiene need. Yeah, it’s a little gross if you think about it but it saves a lot of space in your bathroom!

There are 2 variations of this object that you can download:

Liberated Tiny Living Plant

The Tiny Living tiny plants are very cute, but they come attached to the new bookend. This CC liberates those plants and gives them 20 unique color presets!

EA’s CEO confirms The Sims 5; Might Have Singleplayer and Multiplayer

EA’s Andrew Wilson confirms the next generation Sims Game – The Sims 5!

First we wrote about career listings that hinted about the production of the next Sims game. Then we had some more clues adding up that the game is in development. And now, we have official confirmation from EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson that the Sims 5 will have multiplayer! Read on to see what he included about the next generation Sims Game – The Sims 5!

Will The Sims 5 have Multiplayer?

In the Third Quarter of FY2020 earnings call, Andrew Wilson was asked a question if Maxis has any plans of relaunching an online version of The Sims. Similar to The Sims Online that was present from 2002 to 2008. Andrew Wilson gave an interesting answer, saying that Maxis is continuously thinking about The Sims for a new generation. And, that features from The Sims Online will become a part of that experience “in the years to come”.

Throughout his answer Andrew shared that, although they will always stay true to creation, escape, motivations and more (hinting at some of the keywords of an offline game). They will also start to embrace a new social experience such as social interactions and competitions (as they were present in The Sims Online years ago) in a Sims experience in the years to come with sims 5 multiplayer included.

Andrew Wilson – Full Earnings Release Transcript

Check out our full transcript from the Earnings Release, including real questions and answers by Andrew Wilson. The audio recording from the earnings release is at the bottom!

Question: Any thoughts on relaunching an online version of the franchise given its large popularity? (referring to The Sims Online that was present up until 2008)

Andrew Wilson (EA CEO): Great question on The Sims! The Sims will be 20 next week. That Maxis team and the team that’s been a part of Maxis over the years continue to deliver unbelieavably innovative and creative content for a constantly growing Sims community globally. As we think about The Sims – again, I reference the motivations of why we play the games – inspiration, escape, social interaction, creation, self improvement, competition. Typically what The Sims has done is really focus on fulfilling the motivations and inspiration, escape, creation, self-improvement and not necessarily focus as much as on social interaction and competition.

But a few things are in fact true over the years. One is that the Sims community continues to grow and with the broad of social platforms continue to connect with each other and share what they do – in and around the game they play. And we’ve seen that manifest in The Sims Online which was a more social experience for us. And we’re also seeing that the competition nature of The Sims is also rising and we’re seeing people compare and contrast. Not competition in an original sport sense but how they create and what they create and how they use their imaginations and what they’re able to build inside of these Sims universes.

As Maxis continues to think about The Sims for a new generation – cross-platforms and a cloud of a neighborhood world, you should imagine while we will always stay true to our inspiration, escape, creation, self-improvement, motivations – that this notion of social interactions and competition like the kind of things that were actually present in The Sims Online many many years ago – that they will start to become a part of The Sims experience in the years to come.

We are very excited. This is a game that really doesn’t have any competition in its category for delivering and fulfilling these motivations for players and we think of the tremendous growth opportunities for us for many many years to come.

So, what are your thoughts on the next generation Sims game and what should be included? Let us know in the comments!

The Sims Mobile Team seems to be teasing the Next Update

1

The Sims Mobile developers seem to have been teasing the upcoming update for The Sims Mobile!

It all started with the tweet by SimGuruIlya who posted this a picture of weather in Melbourne, putting an emphasis on “Hard to tell what time of day it is”. This originally wouldn’t be considered a hint if there weren’t for other tweets…

Then the hinting continued by SimGuruJack who posted this GIF:

And the last hint was posted by SimGuruMegz which is a video of her dimming the lights:

All of these hints generally revolve around lights, darkness and time of day. If we put all of this together then the team is probably hinting at either the Day / Night cycle coming to the game…or just more lights being added to Build Mode.

Stay tuned to our Sims Mobile News Category and we’ll keep you updated with whathever the next update is all about!

EA quietly announces Maxis Texas that’s currently working on a whole new game

10

A few months ago we reported on two job listings that have surfaced on Maxis’ Careers Website. The catch – the listings were for a Maxis studio located in Austin, Texas. These two listings revealed that the new studio is set to work on a whole new franchise:

You will lead, foster and mentor an experienced team of developers working on a new IP, crafting the vision and leading the execution of a compelling, innovative and immersive experience. Your strong mix of creative and leadership experience in PC products, mobile titles and live service allows you to inspire the team, provide and communicate vision, drive innovation and create incredible experiences for our players.

Maxis’ home base is in Redwood Shores, San Francisco where they’re currently developing The Sims 4 and the next Sims game. However, according to the official job listings that have surfaced, Maxis now has a second studio located in Austin Texas where they’re working on a whole new IP / possible franchise!

The latest job listing has surfaced just a few days ago – making the name Maxis Texas the official name of the second Maxis studio.

Art Director | Maxis Texas

Maxis Texas, EA’s newest Maxis studio, is looking for a visionary Art Director to lead our art team in the creation of a new, unannounced title. We’re looking for candidates with a unique vision and the ability to promote that vision, providing stunning visuals at the highest levels of execution.

At Maxis we’re pushing the boundaries on every front, so you’ll get a chance to stretch beyond your comfort zone and learn while you contribute. Our team culture is collaborative and we expect everyone to think like game makers and approach development with a Player First perspective.

It’s still not known which new game is Maxis Texas working on, but considering that the whole nature of Maxis is to develop sandbox & simulation games (such as Spore, SimCity, The Sims) – we could be looking at another creative game coming in the future!

The Sims 4: The Invisible Slot Filler Mod + Quick Tutorial

Not all heros wear capes. Or maybe they do in the comfort of their own home and we just don’t know about it. Either way, the hero today is Reddit user Intern_Waffle as they’ve created an invisible item that will fill surface slots.

WHY is this such a great CC item? Although the Red Shelf Mod helps immensely for cluttering aficionados, sometimes you just want something a bit less time consuming. At a basic level, this Invisible Slot Filler means you don’t have to place, let’s say, 15 sets of books on top of a table just so you can finally raise one set up (using alt+9/alt+0) and place it in your desired clutter spot. Instead, you can place the invisible item in all the slots available on whatever surface you’re using, and then you can place whatever item you want.

Intern_Waffle’s item description reads, “Use this to fill slots on tables, allowing you to free-place items near them without having to worry about objects snapping to slots. You can try to remove them afterward if you want sims to be able to place objects (like on a counter)!

They also mentioned in their post, that this is a great item to use if you don’t want your sims to place an item somewhere!

[EDIT]* – This item can be downloaded from Intern Waffle’s Tumblr HERE.

See the little how-to video in Intern_Waffle’s original post below:

I made an "Invisible Slot Filler" object. You place it on surfaces to fill their slots, and then you can free place objects without worrying about them snapping where you don't want them to!

This Mod allows you to duplicate Worlds in The Sims 4

A few tutorials, including the one by simply-victoriax and Tamlo31 have been making rounds in the simming community lately teaching folks on how to create duplicates of worlds in The Sims 4. Although the tutorials are very handy, they require a lot of work, tools and effort to make this work.

Basically, with this tutorial you’re able to create an exact duplicate of the world that you’ve chosen, but edit it by your liking and have it inhabited by different Sims and lots that you decide to place down. With this you’re able to literally have as many Sims and lots as you possibly could image (or as much as your PC and The Sims 4’s engine can allow).

Now, Zerbu has come up with a unique mod that can easily duplicate a world of your liking:

With the mod installed, open the cheat console while in the world you want to copy (either in Build Mode or Live Mode), enter worlds.copy, type the name of the new world, click OK, then save*, return to the main menu and reload. That’s it, you now have a new world in your game!

The mod can easily be installed by extracting the zipped content to Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder.

NOTE: Considering that this is an experimental mod after all, make sure you backup your save game entirely before playing with this mod to ensure all your saves and progress don’t get corrupted!

[mks_button size=”large” title=”Get the mod! (EXPERIMENTAL)” style=”squared” url=”https://zerbu.tumblr.com/post/190411006875/the-sims-4-mod-copy-worlds-experimental” target=”_blank” bg_color=”#1e73be” txt_color=”#FFFFFF” icon=”” icon_type=”” nofollow=”0″]

icemunmun, a modder and Custom Content creator has came up with a solution to prevent your Sims from getting randomly killed by the Murphy Bed. Even though that you can apply some upgrades that will reduce the chances of your Sim getting killed, the chances are still slim and might occur.

With this mod you can ensure that your Sims will never have an accident when pulling down the Murphy Bed.

You can get the mod HERE! Simply place down the .package file in your Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder and make sure you’ve enabled CC / Mods in your game options.
