New Paralives Town Area: Gorgeous Mountains and Countryside Preview

In their most recent Patreon update, developer Chloe’s post announced what is coming as part of the latest Paralives town area developments, and the visuals don’t disappoint.

Progress on the town is going well, and we have pretty much settled on the layout of everything. All that’s left is to finish the lots, polish the town itself, and add fun stuff for players to do or find in the town. I’d say the hardest part is done!

Now that the town development is mostly complete, let’s see what new features have been added.

You can also see all of our recent Paralives articles covering updates and features here.

Mountain Scenery

One of the standout features in this update is the mountain area, separated from the town by a massive chasm. Players will be able to explore this gorge via hiking trails below, while a long road and train track stretch across the chasm to connect the two locations.

At the mountain’s peak, you’ll be able to find a rest stop positioned at the highest point in the city. This rest stop comes with binoculars and offers panoramic views of both the sea and the town below; it’s designed as a place to slow down and soak in the scenery, and it is truly idyllic.

There is also a small platform hanging off the edge of the viewpoint that seems to have no fencing around it. Could that be hinting at an activity like ziplining?

For all of the builders, there is also a vacant lot at the base of the mountain, so your Parafolk can experience the scenic countryside views and mountains without being too far from the main town.

We picked out this lot because of its prime location in the mountains, yet not too far from the town center. Perfect for a DIYer. The opportunity of a lifetime! You do not want to miss this.

Hiking Trails

Three main hiking trails wind their way up the mountain, offering multiple routes and viewpoints. One of these paths connects directly to the paved road of a residential area, giving easy access to the local Parafolk.

The park that we saw briefly in the original trailer has also undergone a major upgrade. As well as being made bigger, it now serves as a key starting point for two hiking routes and includes new facilities, such as bathrooms, to help your Parafolk prepare for hikes.

The hiking trails that you can start from the park also look steeper than the others, so it looks as though they will have different difficulty levels.

Countryside

The countryside area is set to feature lots of large lots and empty space, perfect for any players who enjoy building or want to live on the outskirts of the Paralives town area.

The yellow house we saw in a previous reveal trailer was featured in this post as well, with confirmation that it will appear in-game.

An old friend from some years ago can be found, and could be your neighbor! It has gone through some changes, but we kept them to a minimum; we just wanted the house to fit more with its new environment, for instance.

The post also showed different angles of the new countryside Paralives town area on both sides of the mountain. The blue house featured in this image won’t be available to players, unfortunately. Chloe confirmed in this post that it is off limits, with developers having other plans for it.

Patreon Reaction

The followers and supporters seem to be happy with this update to the Paralives town area and are looking forward to getting to explore it when early access comes out.

(This post is originally from September 2025 for paid Patreon subscribers, which is why some comments are referencing the original early access release date.)

The new updates and development of the Paralives town area are making the game feel alive – you can picture taking your Parafolk on long hikes up the mountain with their dogs and families, enjoying the views around them, and taking in the countryside air.

What do you think about the mountains and countryside shown in this update? Is hiking an activity you would utilise? Let us know!
