SimGuruNeel has confirmed some information about Apartments in The Sims 4 City Living. Basically, if you planned to expand Apartments beyond the world of San Myshuno, you’re in for some bad news. He confirmed that not only will we be completely out of options to build an apartment from scratch (like in The Sims 2 Apartment Life), but we also won’t be able to place apartments outside San Myshuno.

This is the end of Sims 4 for me. They really water down their content… so if I want my sims to live in apartments I HAVE to have make them live in the same city over and over and over again….. SO stupid and limited. Sims 4 is done. Just drop it now and move onto Sims 5 please.

They said if sims 4 isn’t successful, there will be no sims 5. :/ I reckon they are just trying to make this game as fun as possible while still making it avaliable for low end computers.

ikr the other games are so much better in so many ways, only thing better about the sims 4 is the graphics
hopefully they’ll introduce the sims 2 feature of apartment in Sims 4 University, which is dormitory.
that is disappointing. so many great apartments on the gallery, such a lost opportunity for creativity. i wonder if it can modded.

it was meant to be multiplayer to start with but the mess of the online-only simcity made them reconsider

Anyway, yeah that’s a load of crap. In TS3 you could have build something close to apartments, but not being able to build apartments in TS4 adds another limitation that the game didn’t need.
This looks like an EP to skip, kinda like Island Paradise in Sims 3 (but that EP was buggy as fuck anyway so whatever)

I’m very hyped wet, everything is good, but they have to focus on the Community.
Sooooo excited for this! I wouldn’t want apartments in different towns anyway. I like to keep a certain vibe for every city anyway! This is what I’ve been waiting for since apartments are (and continue it be ) my absolute favourite! I am however not to hyped about the price but I’m just gonna wait to get it around christmas time when target has half their store on sale (srsly wtf target)

Well you can build aparments in TS2 with cheats, so one can only hope 🙂

I can understand the frustration, but I have to think that the main reason for a lot of their ‘outline’ is to ensure against crashes etc, ie: higher quality imagery and effects and lower amount of information to load… like the size of Town’s etc.. I know that since I’ve had this game, since it came out about, it’s crashed about a handful of times, which is really not that much.. compared to prior games. Looking forward to this game pack! 🙂
yeah, the prior installments would crash on me CONSTANTLY. this one? never has, which is a relief since my computer is about 10 years old and programs crashing really messes stuff up.

I don’t get it, it seems like the continuously miss what is important to their target audience? Or at the very least, they miss what is integral to their core audience that actually buys expansions?
wow, it is almost like all of the people whining were forced to play this new sims entry, instead of CHOOSING TO. seriously, they do not care that it is not EXACTLY what you want, which is good; people are stupid and make terrible decisions. sims 4 was not one of them, and this is honestly one of their best expansions to date. your loss if you let your immature whinging keep you from playing it.
