The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Teaser

On The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature teaser website, the fifth teaser has seemingly hinted at fairies, a new outdoor-based lifestyle, and confirmation of a new career based on the new Apothecary skill confirmed in the previous teaser.
Get lost in… Enchantment!
You’re awoken at dawn to the sound of high pitched laughter, somehow both sweet and sinister. All of a sudden, you’re met with a magical presence! You’re a little afraid at first, but you learn to embrace all the wonder and mischief these creatures’ abilities can bring—nurturing plants, influencing emotions, and a whole lot more you’re still yet to discover.
Eyes bleary with sleep, you look around at your strange and wonderful surroundings. Living at one with nature, with enchanting new friends, and even a new career… You have a feeling you’ll be right at home here.
And so your new life begins.
Where did the Gnome go?
This is now the fifth teaser dropped on the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature promotional website, and we still have just about a week to go before we get a full reveal. Going back the past week or so, lets do a quick recap of what we’ve seen and what’s been hinted at.

The first teaser confirmed the world is called Innisgreen and has three neighborhoods. The second teaser hinted at new ways of living off-the-grid or off-the-lot, possibly allowing your sims to live in their world instead of being confined to just their home lot. The third teaser was huge, and confirmed the names of three brand new traits that will be coming with The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature; Plant Lover, Mystical, and Disruptive.
Lastly, the fourth and prior most recent teaser put a focus on mysterious ailments and using the Apothecary skill to make yourself a cure, as well as using Simlish to subtly reveal that the name of the pack is confirmed to be The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. The last teaser also mentioned that your newfound skill could lead to a new career, and that new career is brought up for a second time in the fifth teaser.
Although, there may be something awry in this mystical world as the gnome has disappeared from the scene in the most recent teaser…
The Sims 4 Fairies Confirmed?

While they’re not named directly, the hints at fairies are absolutely glaring in this teaser. Fairies are known for having somewhat two-sided nature, like how the teaser hints at them being “sweet and sinister” and coming with both “wonder and mischief“. Words like “enchanting new friends” and “creatures” are also used to describe these mysterious beings.
Community Thoughts

While opinions on teaser, reveals, and upcoming DLC for The Sims 4 have always been varied, many fans seem to be ecstatic about the idea of fairies being added to The Sims 4. With every new teaser, posts crop up across social media platforms, discussing what each hint could mean. Currently, without confirmation yet, many are debating how fairies will be implemented; Will they be full occult states (e.g. Vampires, Werewolves, Mermaids, etc.), will they be a state your sim can become after Create-A-Sim (like Plantsims), or will they be NPCs you can interact with in gameplay? For now, we don’t know and likely won’t until the full reveal on June 12th.

Sounds boring af
It sounds like fairies will be in the game, but not as playable sims or playable creatures.
This would make a lot of simmers mad. I don’t think EA is that stupid. Well, you know, I could be wrong.
I agree, like fairies should be playable just like werewolves, vampires, aliens, witches, and mermaids are. It wouldn’t make sense if we couldn’t play as fairies. I feel like a lot of players would be mad at this, including me.
Yeah….if that happened, I feel like most people, myself included would physically boycot and riot and the Sims HQ. I feel like there is no way we don’t get playable Fairies. The question is if they’ll be fleshed out like Vamps, Ghosts, etc. Or more base level like Aliens and Mermaids
The teaser definitely makes it sound like there will be not playable fairies… I hope that’s not right! I was excited until I saw it :/ it makes it sound like we are just gonna see them and maybe get a moodlet
good!
I had the same thought… :/
On one hand, it’s super obvious that so many players want fairies really badly – it’s hard to believe they’d leave them out.
But on the other hand… in the teaser they directly mention a new career and a new skill – and it’s clearly something you can do.
When they talk about fairies, though, it sounds more like something you can interact with, not become.
Plus, it feels like the focus is more on connecting with nature than on actually playing as a fairy.
I don’t know… I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that I’m wrong, because that would be such a letdown!
With so many people asking for playable Fairies like in Sims 3, they wouldn’t have been so stupid as to make them NPC-only. They can’t be that out of touch.
I’m glad they won’t be able to. we don’t need that kind of mess full of bugs. just go play sims 3. bc it’s not happening
You’re a spiteful bastard, that’s all I’ll tell you.
I’m not sure what gave you the idea that Fairies won’t be a playable Life State. Like I said, they know a lot of people want them to be like in Sims 3, so they wouldn’t have been stupid enough to not make them so.
everyone hating on this idea, but honestly, fairies are tiny in lores. if you wanna be a fae then play the other sim game. it would look lame watching fairies run around in a garden. what if it was a fae you were playing? how would you see them? oh look, fairy dust is moving. FINALLY. this is the best disappointment for y’all, but some of us think it’s useless having fairies as actual sims. I SAID IT
That’s my problem I can’t go back to other Sims games because I have 4 save files ( Post-apocalypic survival – supernatural – Harry potter and Normal sim life) I spend years to rebuild everything in these save files I wished wih upcoming fairy i could make Castiel and other angles more realistic in my savefile but its unfair to be disappointed for a feature that you wanted for years.
i understand that. I’m sure there’s mods out there. but occult sims always break. we can’t even have hybrids. that’s why im just not into it. sure one of my main sims are a wolf abd spellcaster but, the children can only become either or. so it is disappointing for some of us not to get that. who knows maybe we will get fairies. but I’m just not into that. I’m into the plants and stuff, so that’s exciting. but fairies, nope
You’re all useless, go climb a tree and straighten bananas!
With the amount of people wanting Fairies, there’s no way they made them an NPC-exclusive rather than an actual playable occult. There’s just no way. They’re not THAT stupid and out of touch.
The leaked description from Instant Gaming says this; As Sims explore the new world, they may discover Fairies, just beyond their normal everyday life. Fairies can be mischievous and give Sims Ailments, or become a Fairy who enhances nature, helps in the garden, and instantly blooms plants. So yes you will be able to become a fairy, but I don’t know if it will be possible to become one from the CUS from the beginning of the game or if there are rules to follow to become one, but I think it will be possible from the beginning.
Hmm.. you go to Forgotten Hollow and you can commune with vampires.
You go to the Land of Magic, you can commune with spellcasters,
and in Moonwood Mill you can commune with werewolves.
You don’t have to be those occult sims, but you can.
Same with mermaids on Sulania and aliens on Sixam.
So I don’t know why all this talk about fairies as NPCs?
It will work on the same principle.
And as many have mentioned, too many people want playable fairies.
They probably won’t shoot themselves in the foot like that… Some are just malicious and spread unrest to annoy those who are expecting Fairies.
everything is pointing to fairys functioning like foxes and rabbits where you can befriend them and get garden help and gifts or make them upset and get in this case ailments nothing that has been said thus far points to fairys being playable and frankly if thats the case the pack is gonna have to have some killer build and buy for me to even consider it
You haven’t seen the leaked images, then.
