Which one is your favorite?
Hey Simmers! We want to hear from you again! Occult Sims or supernatural Sims have been a beloved addition to The Sims series since its first incarnation. We were first introduced to witches and wizards in The Sims Makin’ Magic and its popularity has led to many more supernatural-themed add-on packs for the game in later installments.
The Sims 4 has a fair few occult Sims seven years into its run and we want to know which one is your favourite. Which occult Sim is the most loved by the fan base? You get to decide! You can only pick one, however, so make sure you give it some thought before casting your vote. You’ve only got one shot to tell the world which occult type is the best in The Sims 4.

PlantSims needed to be more than cosmetic. They needed to be like actual PlantSims from Sims 2/3. Ghosts need more to them as well like in Sims 3. I miss the unique style of ghost depending on the cause of death, the unique grave, and creating them in CAS. I’m team vampires, simply because I got really into VTMB over the years. Still hoping for fairies and werewolves one day as game packs.
For me it’s spellcasters that I love the most.
I love Vampires and Spellcasters equally so it was a hard choice. The only thing that can make them better IMO is that they require regular sleep. Sometimes i like my sims to sleep to give a break on directing them haha.
I was disappointed in spellcasters when it came to spells being mostly base game cheats. Also the immortality potion still causes you to age into elder. My only complaints about ROM.

Vampires. No doubt. Best version of the lifestate across the Sims. I like spellcasters too, but vampires are the best.
No Skeletons? They’re just as much a lifestate as Plantsims are.

I actually don’t play any of the non-human life-states. Never really did. Though I do have ghosts roaming around occasionally, but not as playable. Mostly in the graveyards I’ve built or in the Goth backyard.
I wish I could vote plantsim because they were my all time favorite in previous versions but the temporary plantsim disease in the sims 4 is not an actual lifestate. So I went for spellcaster.
I absolutely love Vampires simply because we can play much more with them, i like the Mermaids but the Spellcasters are just….eh. I was so disappointed when they came out! I would’ve enjoyed it if for example we could see the Spellcasters ACTUALLY riding a broom…Not just plopping on it and teleporting to the place that we told them to go.
