During the livestream for The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle The Sims Team has done a clever reveal for Firefighters, as well as revealed that Repomen are coming to The Sims 4 Base Game!
First off – Repomen. Although they haven’t shared much details about them, they did reveal that if you don’t take care of your bills for a few days they’ll come to your home to snag certain objects that are somewhat equal to what you’re due. Repomen were originally introduced with Discover University but they would only show up if you owe a college tuition.
They haven’t said much about Firefighters except shown them off in a sneaky way. After starting a fire, a new alarm sounded off that called two Firemen to put out the fire on the lot. During the stream an option was also revealed to “Call Fire Department”.

The update is expected to come out shortly before the release of Eco Lifestyle – which is on June 5th.
There were so many new free stuff that they showed us! Really turned around my opinion on them and the pack! So excited

They Could even revamp the burglar Career similar to the sims 3 where you could get arrested. Then you’d have to stay the night and they get to work prison. Just a idea…

I’m excited about firemen (who isn’t, am I right?), but Ive always HATED the repo guys… I really hope someone comes out with a mod that disables repo.

I dont understand why we applaud the devs and get excited over features that were already in previous iterations of the sims. My reaction to this news was more of an “its about time” than a “oh thats so cool!”
Like, shouldn’t sequels be an improvement to its predecessor, not whatever this is? Don’t get me wrong, I love playing the sims 4, its just the fact that we are several years into its lifespan and we are just now getting features that shouldve already been here leaves me a little jaded.
It’s more a fault of the development of the sims 4 than them deciding not to include them originally. And if you don’t know what i mean by that look up Sims Olympus.

Good for those who are still playing the game. To me EA has killed it totally with their laziness and half baked things. I will not cheer over something that was in the base game of TS2! And now they are introducing it more than 5 years after the launch of TS4!
Everything about TS4 is half baked. Apartments are such a downgrade from what we had in TS2.
Go play sims 2 then nobody is stopping you, Just stop hating on things that people are excited about.

With the way people are talking paralives better bring it. There is no beta or alpha but some people are acting as if they played the game already. When some people played the CAs demo of TS4 they were pleased and then the game released too soon. Often when some people talk about para it’s always in the context of “what ts4 doesn’t have” and not about what it brings that separates it from the sims franchise itself. How empty it will be if all it’s marketing and items are just filling in gaps but not fleshed out as its own to stand on. Of course if there are letdowns, as there always are in games from time to time, the same people pushing paralives onto others will skirt around it.
But like, who’s actually gonna buy the eco pack and use it all the time

Do we need to purchase the Eco Lifestyle pack in order to get these free?
I would like to see a graveyard so you don’t just loose the urns or graves of sims In a house you aren’t currently playing that die, also if you have a kid with and NPC and the NPC dies of old age you loose the kid entirely as well. So I’d like to see something done about that too. But the thing I miss the most is being able to customize the furniture and stuff like you could with 3. You could put the same fabric on a bedspread and a matching chair, I miss those design tools.
I loved in 3 when we could recolour. I wish they would also make better colour matching in the clothing, some are really funky together. And I don’t mean funky as in cool lol I also liked recoluring hair =)

It would be cool to have a ninja dojo, customizing cars, motorcycles, gun racks, sword racks
Why would they ever put guns in The Sims… there aren’t any cars to begin with, and… just call it a karate dojō, not “ninja”

I’m Sorry i love the Sims and have been playing since 1, but I really would love to see more inclusive content. I feel a bit disconnected when I play ever since i lost my legs. I really wish they would do something for the disabled population.
