During today’s Maxis Monthly Livestream, SimGuruNinja and SimGuruDuke gave us an update on the progress of the Community Stuff Pack.
The first round of voting was incredibly close between Arts & Crafts and Happy Haunts. The Sims Team also saw over five times as many votes compared to when the community was voting for The Sims 4 Laundry Day Stuff Pack.
The second round of voting will commence on the 23rd December 2019.
SimGuruNinja and SimGuruDuke gave us a sneak peek at the three possible Build/Buy themes that the community will be able to vote for. There were no images of possible Create-a-Sim Options but you will get an idea of some of the items we could potentially see from the work in progress images below.

Granny Chic and Do it Yourself Delight are my favorites. I really like both. I’m not sure why I’m not feeling Cozy Craft Workshop. It’s nice, but the other two look really adorable. I might be leaning closer to DIY Delight becuase it looks really fitting for an artsy kids room.

Absolutely! I mean, Cosy Craft Workshop is a close second, it feels more all ages than Granny Chic but I definitely don’t like Do it Yourself Delight as much.

I like the third one looks like it has a little bit of everything. Also like the knitting idea. Maybe they could bring back the color wheel so we can change colors of clothing.
That yellow-cushioned chair on the left side of the Do It Yourself image needs to be a rocking chair. Isn’t it high time we got one? Also… spiral staircases. Just sayin’.

I really like them overall. Some nice items I spotted that I would love to have in my game.
Not sure why they can’t just add all three…but then I remembered, it’s EA…
Because the act of ‘just adding all of them’ needs significant time and money that otherwise could be allocated to other packs and patches?
Truth
I just hope it doesn’t go too cutesy. It would be nice to see some pop-culture crafts that aren’t so childish and old “Auntie Betty’s house with her tiny tea cups and hundreds of cats”.
I am an artist and long time crafter, but there is nothing lacy or frilly in my work. Too many ruffles make me squeamish.

@Nigronia Smith, over the years *a lot* of Simmers have requested knitting/crocheting/weaving, etc. myself included! In fact, many people want a farm pack just so they can have sheep so they can weave/crochet/knit with the wool! This is hardly a fixed vote!
Another salty person with no actual proof it was fixed only claiming it was because the pack they didn’t want to win won and ignoring that plenty of people actually want this pack. So transparent.

@Simmer13, this is what the community wanted. It just isn’t what you wanted.
It’s really embarrassing how bitter some people (sore losers) are. Not every stuff pack is for everyone which is something the gurus explained a long time ago (way before the community voting stuff pack became a thing).

I wish they would’ve made this a little more hyyge & modern. I feel like we have so many county, patterned, quilt-y sort of decor items. But the DIY delight is cute. Either way, I’ll be getting the pack. I’m excited to start crafting with my sims!
I love both the cosy craft and the do it yourself. Not all fiber crafter are grans . Yet, I think the granny one is cosy as well and good for a varied characters/gameplay.
I feel ya, but I gotta admit I LOOOOVE the cosy old home vibes of granny chic ❤ You could totally use that kinda furniture as Boho decor too!! (Also I oddly just love playing as cute old ppl, so there’s that too xD) I feel like most worn or old stuff we have now borders too close to dirty/cheap
I love DIY Delight. Cozy Craft Workshop is ok, too. I doubt I’d ever use the Granny one, though. The elders in my game mostly live with their kids’ families to help around the house.
The one thing that would make this stuff pack better would be a sewing machine.

I’m going to vote for the “Cosy Craft Workshop”, but personally I think all of these are awful and look too similar to one another. At least with laundry day there was big variations.

I really like the cozy craft workshop and the DIY Delight. My absolute favorite though is DIY Delight I feel like it looks more craftier. I really like the ceiling lights in the very left corner I think it would be really cool to be able to make those. It’d be awesome if the chair under the said lights was a rocking chair.
I love the cozy craft, but would love some of the granny style and furniture mixed in it.
I want the yarn cabinet from Granny Chic in my Do It Yourselfer craft room.
Granny Chic I mean it suits the knitting theme. Cozy Craft Workshop is a close second with the pink and blue walls and the color in it. For those that are being sore losers just because the stuff packs like Happy Haunts didn’t get chosen for now doesn’t mean that they won’t get revisited again down the line and become a future stuff pack.

I like the square table from DIY delight, but the aesthetic of cozy craft workshop appeals to me more.
It’s too bad we can’t vote for components (voting for tables / decor / build items separately) instead of the all-or-nothing approach.
