Have you ever wondered what are the “bills” that you’re actually paying for in The Sims 4? Well, worry no more!
The upcoming update for The Sims 4 is set to deliver a full estimate of how much you’re spending, including:
- Lot Taxes
- Power
- Water
- Other Taxes
- Tax Breaks & Penalties
The new User Interface that The Sims Team has shown off in the stream has a Billing Estimate on the left and Power and Water consumption levels on the right. If you have Eco Lifestyle installed you’ll be able to store that extra power and water and choose to go off-the-grid with your own supply or choose to sell the extra amount you’re producing!
The update is expected to come out shortly before the release of Eco Lifestyle – which is on June 5th.
Will this be available for the base game or do you have to have Eco Lifestyle

It’s coming for the Base Game. However, it seems that storaging Water and Power will be an Eco Lifestyle exclusive.
It’s part of the base game update, except if you don’t have the new pack, you won’t have a means of generating and selling your own power and water.

I’m curious about the reintroduction of the repoman. In ts4 if you don’t pay bills, your electricity gets shut off. Is that still the case with the repoman?
I wish they took this chance to introduce loans outside of discover university. I think it’d be really interesting to have credit and debt and all that not fun stuff lol
From my understanding if you don’t pay them after the 48 hours your power gets shut off and then some time after that the repoman comes.
How do I pay the bills? I dont have a Pay Bills option anymore and my power is getting shut off
I’m having the same problem as Jordan. My pay bills option no longer comes up anywhere.
No, they repossess an item from your house to the value or thereabouts to pay the bill you owe. A bit like real life. Default on your car repayments and they take the car to pay back what is owed to the finance company.
no you lose power, and pay bills with the phone. With this new update we get a better way of that, firemen are coming back too!
Actually that’s one back of an idea.. Credit and debit.. Not be able to own or rent lots because of yr credit debit.. Hell a rating for credit would be wild to see

Have firemen ever been a thing for sims 4? lol My house burns and the alarms just go off I have to force my sims back inside to put the fire out.. Ive never seen firemen and I play PC

What about having banking, ik there is a mod for it but I really wish there was a bank system as well to really indulge into the sims reality.
