You might have heard about the Future Cube speculation mill that started rolling a few months ago when SimGurus started tweeting out cryptic hints for Simmers to check out the Future Cube object in The Sims 4.
Basically, what The Sims Team has done then is that they’ve added a new interaction on the Future Cube called “Ask About Future”. This interaction included some cryptic hints related to, what’s now confirmed to be candles from The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle, Ladders from Eco Lifestyle’s Base Game Update and Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack.
- Self-organization will be key to a happy future.
- Your future is… not bright, but illuminated… probably to an intensity of 0.981 candelas.
- The threads of your future knit together in a wave of darkness.
- Climbing to the top one rung at a time!
Just a few moments ago SimGuruGeorge has tweeted out a picture of the Future Cube, probably hinting for us to check out the Future Cube for some new answers.

Interestingly enough the Future Cube now provides new answers that seem to be hinting at possible new content coming to the world of The Sims 4.
For this specific reason I went to the text string files of The Sims 4 to see what’s specifically updated and I can confirm that the developers have removed previous hints for content that’s been released and added these following ones:
- Side by side. Sure. Spaced out. Yup.Stack ‘em up? Hmm.
- The most popular destination to elope is not yet known.
Some of the same hints have also remained on the Future Cube, such as:
- I see a gnome wielding a frozen rabbit riding atop a llama into battle against an udder’ly impressive foe.
- Without a doubt, that thing we talked about will come to be, as all of the signs are pointing to the answer that we agreed upon in our last discussion.
- Your uncertainty, certainly shall become certain, under certain situations in no uncertain terms.
- The future is soon™.
- Your future looks pixelated.
- Somebody is definitely going to get exactly what they want.

…Actually this may be their chance to do a Las Vegas themed destination….OMG I want that now! And Las Vegas is literally the most popular place to elope…so this makes perfect sense!
(GP) Future theme pack, they have done it before and most likely will do it again…but I really really hope it will not be the EP, it would be cool to have like an alien/moon planet world.

Literally they have to be working on this now with all the recent hints.
Look at one of the 3 screenshots they chose for Nifty Knitting on the launch page, it is clearly of a baby wearing a onesie sitting up reaching towards a dog…this is evidence they are paying attention to babies now 🙂
AND they acknowledged in the last update that babies wouldn’t be “freed” in that update….so to me that’s implying there will be an update that will free our sim babies!!

definitely bunk beds for the first one. and I agree that Las Vegas themed world, or a winter themed world for the marriage one.
I wonder what the upcoming GP will be. Hopefully it’s a vacation mountain world with some of those winter activities from the poll. Hopefully they add avalanches as a possible death. Would make more sense for igloos and penguins too as a secret spot. I’m curious when werewolves will come and if they’ll share a GP or be on their own. Hopefully this will be the year of cars and updated babies for the base game.

Y’all should add square dancing as a hobby. With the square dancing dresses & petticoats & the shoes. I square dance & it’s a lot of fun. And some more free stuff. Not everyone can buy packs when they come out.
I think you should make a sims 4, farm life where you can interact with the animals, like feeding them, mucking out horses, pigs, cows, chickens etc, but the player should be able to work on the farm as there sim like in the doctor career, you can ride the horses, brush, clean and feed them, same as all the other Animals would be cool and fun

Could it be a Paris game pack? And the period to be set in the renaissance. Your future looks pixelated could mean that they include some type of time travel machine so sims could be able to travel both in the future and in the past: “Your uncertainty, certainly shall become certain, under certain situations in no uncertain terms.” That to me sounds like a hint to a time-travel machine with a possibility to impact the present while traveling.
I wish they would do a Winter Vacation World with Hotels but I don’t see how the future cube hints at that unfortunately.
I’d love to see a mobility pack. Imagine how you could combine that with Eco living or a travel pack.. zero-emission cars… e-bikes.. Or even high-speed trains, hydrogen planes and ships.. 😀

I’m not entirely sure what everyone asks for most, but most of these sayings seem to say we’ll get whatever that is… I really hope it’s improved babies though, there have been so many hints now! Babies are technically a part of your sims future so maybe?

one is definitely bunk beds (stack em), the “someone’s going to get what they want” was a reference to lilsimsie wanting to name cow plants, the elope is either for resorts/hotels or the spark’d challenge,
there’s also been talk of a possible baby update, so that could be “what we talked about” and the “future is soon” could be a future themed game pack.
Didn’t they specifically say there was no baby update coming?? I thought I heard that

Bunk beds would be great. I’m still waiting for spiral staircases. Ladders are ok but spiral staircases would add a touch of class to tiny homes. And the elders shouldn’t have to climb ladders to get to the second level. Maybe they could be made to cover less than 4 tiles. I know that modders have probably created a lot of the things we want in the game but I don’t download CC because I don’t want to jack my game or my computer up. As expensive as the games are EA should give us a lot of the things we want. Is there any evidence that they even listen to some of our requests (other than toddlers, which, imo they could have left out). Though I’m not opposed to having more interactions given to the babies.
I would like to have a pack that allows us to create musketeers, UNICORNS, merkitties, merpuppies, members of the rock group KISS and have the musketeers protect the ladies they are assigned to protect and then fall deeply in love with them, get married and stay in the ladies time and not have to go back to their own 17th century. Argos, Aramis, Porthos and D’artangnan oh and they should look like, or allow us to make them look like the actors, Keifer Sutherland , Oliver Platt, Charlie Sheen and Chris O’Donnell.
