Yesterday thesims.com accidentally revealed the icon for The Sims 4’s upcoming Game Pack, which you can see down below:
Considering that this might be one of the most vague icons in The Sims 4 series there are already so many theories out there speculating what the next Game Pack will be. Right now we have some official information from The Sims Team that they’ve shared. Let’s begin with the future cube:
- Side by side. Sure. Spaced out. Yup.Stack ‘em up? Hmm.
- The most popular destination to elope is not yet known.
We also have some vague information from the 6-month Roadmap that The Sims Team revealed back in April 2020:
Another group on our team is currently focused on our next Game Pack. This pack is a major first for us, and we are super eager to share it with all of you later this year.

The theories already began all over the community! Although there are so many guesses and we won’t know for sure what the pack is all about until it gets revealed, the two popular theories seem to be taking the lead: Star Wars / Space-themed Game Pack and a Winter Vacation-themed Game Pack.
The theory about a Star Wars themed Game Pack is circling around because of the “3 suns” in the Game Pack icon, which is a known thing for the world of Batuu, a fictional world inside of the Star Wars universe.
The Sims Forum member EliasVersace also made an icon comparison of what the Game Pack icon could be referring to:
The other theory is a Winter Vacation type of Game Pack. It’s known that The Sims Team has been thinking about this idea from their January 2020 Survey, where they suggested certain Snow Activities.
The Sims Forum Member onverser also made a suggestion of what the icon could be referring to, which is a snow cabin, 3 snowballs on the top and a snowy mountain next to the side:
There are also some other theories circling around the community but we won’t know for sure until the pack gets revealed.
Considering that The Sims Team’s 6-month roadmap was released back in April 2020, we could be expecting this game pack to be announced and released by the end of September 2020!

It‘s a Star Wars pack. The 3 dots can only be 3 moons in the sky.
A Star Wars pack would also be a major first, since it‘s the first bigger pack to be a brand collaboration and we never had a space travel pack before.
Okay just shit on Get to Work and the rocket from the base game why don’t we. Also technically speaking space travel has been done with Lunar Lakes and Oasis Landing, so they’d be lying if they said this pack was never done before.
*suns. it looks like the style of buildings that are on Tatooine and Tatooine has three suns.
They’ve also never done a pack for TS4 largely inspired by the Sims 1. The romantic snow lodge vacation in TS1. If I remember right it also had a cafe area. Star Wars is far too niche, and I doubt it would have a feature I’d buy it for.
I know that I won’t buy a Star Wars themed pack.
This is not Star Wars, there is no theme for them.
I think so too..they have Yoda and costumes already on the game/packs.

perhaps an amusement park theme concept or Food/Drink pack, or Generations. Not sure if Star Wars is what everyone wants but hey when has that ever stop the creators. Need another Destination spot too. Maybe a Wild West Frontier pack.
Yeah, we already have a magic pack but I think it could be a future pack or an amusement park pack.
I agree with the whole future pack prospect, just think about the “subject” of the “Eco Lifestyle” pack the sims 4 released this year. In Evergreen Harbor it’s all about waste pollution and energy consumption which if we continue this every day the world of Evergreen Harbor could be in our earths future.
it’s the star wars pack obviously. i’m not buying that though. no offense to the fans. the gameplay/content will be very unusable aside from that world. it’s the first pack i won’t be buying in all the sims series, my wallet is happy.

Excuse me? it’s called being rational and thinking and using my eyes. The icon representing the Star Wars world matches much better than the one for a winter vacation – if it’s that, which I highly doubt, I recommend them to remake the icon, because it’s too abstract and doesn’t get the point across at all. If those three big circles are snowflakes/snowballs they look very misleading.
I’m also not interested in Star Wars and I’m not going to buy a pack dedicated to it. Period. It seems it will be a very niche pack and I’m having trouble thinking what they could include in it to lure those of us who don’t care for SW. Bunk-beds? Man, I’ll pass.
I don’t think it’s a Star Wars themed pack. It would take a lot of money to procure the rights for that and Disney is effing greedy. It might be a space themed pack though.

EA already have the rights to Star Wars games. It wouldn’t be much of a leap to suggest a full star wars game pack, but perhaps it’s alluring to a theme park pack, as opposed to just star wars?
I really doubt they would do a Star Wars pack. I understand that they own the rights to Star Wars but they already have like 10 games about it. Looking at these comments if they made that pack a lot of people would not like it.
EA already has the license to produce Star Wars games/content, hence why we have things like the ‘baby Yoda’ statue in TS4.
A Star Wars pack would mean only a fans will really care to buy, but a winter vacation pack will be like my first pet stuff. A lot of people can’t afford to get seasons and A new pack. Both of these ideas would be mistakes on EA’s part.
Honestly, I think this way too Lilaccloversims. Im not a fan of Starwars so I wouldnt buy it, and a lot of people dont have seasons, so repeating the same move they did for MFPS wouldnt be suitable bc a lot of people cant/ dont want to buy it. I would totally buy a Game Pack that brings amusements parks tho. Thats another theory
EA already has the video game rights to Star Wars and Disney is honoring that agreement.
I would rather buy snow pack than star wars. And as I think it is based on the survey they had its going to be something With snow. And of the picture i can see mountains and cabin.
They wouldn‘t do a survey if they‘re gonna release a snow vacation pack 3 months after. Things take time to develop, so I think this pack isn‘t snow themed. We might get a snow vacation pack NEXT YEAR.
But then They made two packs in secret
Hopefully they’ll push for a release this holiday season to make up for the Star Wars mess they’re about to unleash… Fingers crossed.

I think it’s just a mountain and a chalet type place under a moon and stars. The winter holiday themed pack hints have been around in the past, we’ve been directly asked about them in surveys. The whole Star Wars thing would be too divisive, and I think they’d know that. They’d literally be releasing something they KNOW non-fans wouldn’t bother with at all, which isn’t intelligent when selling something as they’d want to appeal to as many people as possible.

I think it’s a snow resort pack. The 3 ‘snowballs’ are snowflakes in the foreground I think. The fact that the colours are inverted compared to the other icons is a hint – the white is snow.
Genuinely wouldn’t be remotely interested in a star wars theme pack – not everyone is into that franchise?? And sure, you could say not everyone is into the idea of a winter theme pack but it’s closer to what we get from The Sims and it would fit in with the other packs we have already.
Plus, it’d be brilliant for us to have a winter holiday destination with skiing and such!
A Star Wars pack would be amazing and something totally different for The Sims 4. We already have lots of life-sim game packs, this would be a great way to escape the mundane.

A full-on Star Wars pack would be a disaster. It might not be quite as bad if they only take inspiration for the aesthetics of the pack, but even then, between Planet Sixam, aliens, robots, rocket ships and all the sci-fi technology from Get to Work and University, how could they possibly exhaust that theme any further?

I think they’re planning on it? I remember scrolling through tweets following the Eco Lifestyle trailer and saw a fan tweeting to one of the gurus “we want generations and farming” and I think Frost (?) replied “*noted* but we’re always listening to our fans” (not word for word, but something along those lines). It’s a stretch to say that one reply means that we’re getting it, but the gurus typically don’t respond to those kinds of posts unless it’s in discussion, if not in the works.
I remember in the Sims 3 times when the only people who wanted a farm packs were the guys at the official forum. Now I think 70% of players are up for a farm pack experience imo.
It’s propably none of them lol. Maybe the sims just want us talking about the new game pack so what better way then a ‘fake’ icon. Just a thought

I feel like it could be a possible futuristic pack instead of a Star Wars one.. I know Star Wars has a huge following but if they have not learned from the Katy Perry stuff pack from sims 3 I personally wouldn’t think it’s gonna be a huge themed thing.. I mean it would be cool if there was refrences.. but I don’t know I get modern/futuristic vibes from it.. Maybe our sims can live on Mars?

If it’s a “into the future” pack then I think that will do better than a Star Wars pack. They could add some SW Easter eggs and such like they have in the game already and maybe add a larger alien world. I think it might turn away more people if it’s Star Wars focused. Either way at least it’s a GP but not exactly what I was hoping for.

They could easily make an alpine pack work without Seasons.
This is a star wars pack, but having done a bit of research of decor from SWTOR, I can safely say that this could potentionally be a casino pack but with a star wars theme. There is slot machines and even a very casino table games we could see in this pack. Not to mention the potentional of vehicles we could see, from Skiffs to Speedsters to having Rancor mounts.
All of those saying they wouldn’t make a Star Wars pack because it’s too niche… Are we forgetting the Katy Perry pack? Hahaha

I remember they sent out a survey a little while back asking about what kind of new worlds we’d like to see, which had options like Modern Japanese City, Scottish Highlands, etc. So I feel like this icon could maybe reprisent one of those options but I couldn’t begin to guess which one. I am personally keen on their Scottish Highlands idea.
I’m really hoping that if they do a Showtime type pack with bands, an interactive singing career and the ability to go on tour, that they incorporate Korean city into that expansion. The fan base would lose their mind over a city full of K-Pop inspired Sims.
If it’s a winter theme pack I think the circles could be medals- bronze,silver,gold, for the various sports and competitions they have mentioned on past surveys. Also, the “light” is a significant part of the icon too- alien ship beam? Spotlight for ice skating?
Star Wars is literally about fighting and killing people, I wonder how they would incorporate that into the sims lol. You can’t even use a decent death spell with the magic game pack.
A light saber that you cannot use to kill Sims; would anyone care for that? Also at least with past brand packs such as Ikea and H&M it was still Sims related as it was furniture and clothes but how can you relate the Sims with Star Wars? If it turns out to be truly a star wars pack than it would only goes to show how the Sims has become more about being commercial instead of giving quality to the actual content. Imagine having hoovercrafts and whatever they use in Star Wars to fly while we don’t even have working cars and garages lmao.
I’m interested in both the space theme and the winter resort, but if it’s the space theme I don’t want it to be so specific as a Star Wars pack would be. Also, I still prefer the world to be one you can live in and not one that you can only vacation in for a few days.

I think it’s probably an amusement park pack. Someone said that the three circles are probably fireworks, and I have to agree. What everyone thinks is a mountain on the right might be a roller coaster? And the background is blue too, instead of white, which hints to it being night, which makes the fireworks thing more likely.

I’ll be happy with anything other than a star wars themed pack. That’s not something id spend my money on.. it would be highly disappointing after months of waiting for this new game pack to come out
I honestly think it’s a future life style pack think about it they raleased the eco pack not long ago and it had to do with pollution in the air and not to mention think about strange vill . I honestly don’t see a star wars pack coming any time soon and a lot of people don’t want that. They have never made a future life style pack so I’m pretty sure that’s what this is going to be.
A lot of people don’t want a lot of things in The Sims 4 but yet we have them. For example, while Get Together is a good pack, literally nobody was like “I hope they add clubs in The Sims 4”. Strangerville is another great example. Literally nobody, not a single person, not even the people who love The Sims 2 has ever said “I hope they add a knock off Strangetown to The Sims 4”. Those are just two examples, the same can be said for other features/packs added to the game.
There’s always the possibility that they purposely “leaked” this to put use off the trail. It looks too abstract.
Let’s be honest though, if this is a Star Wars pack (which it’s more so “it is” rather than “if”) Lilsimsie is about to be the first person defending it for no reason.
