EA has officially confirmed the title of its next expansion pack for The Sims 4. The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature through a brand-new teaser website that has got the entire Sims community buzzing all over the internet. This exciting reveal, made possible with the new teaser website, somethingisgrowing.com, marks a rare and strategic move made by the Sims team, who usually keep expansion pack hints pretty low-key until the official trailer drops. But this time, things are feeling pretty different to us; more whimsical, more mysterious, and refreshing.

In this article, together, we’ll explore what EA has revealed so far with The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature and what it could mean for the future of the franchise. With the summer roadmap right around the corner, let’s dig into the growing excitement!
Something is Growing: Let’s Take a Peek!
When you visit the teaser website, (somethingisgrowing.com), you’re prompted to “take a peek” through the keyhole. Upon entering, players are met with an animated teaser: Tiny gnome-like figures giggling as they sprinkle golden dust or coins over a small planter. Though playful, the teaser has a distinct fairy-tale quality that instantly sets off the alarms for long-time Simmers.

What is particularly notable is the visual use of sparkles, garden imagery, and gnomes. These are all classic hallmarks of supernatural or magical themes in The Sims franchise, especially the gnomes. And now, we know exactly where we are headed: The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature.
Confirmation Through Simlish and Community Decoding
While EA has not dropped an official full trailer just yet, the teaser included Simlish text that, when translated using a Simlish alphabet chart, spells out the words “Enchanted by Nature”.
I made an English to Simlish Alphabet “cheat sheet” based off the Simlish mode on the sims y2k nostalgia site. Just missing the letter “X” as it wasn’t on the site at all.

My thoughts on The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

As a simmer who has loved watching the franchise evolve over the years, this moment feels huge. Expansion pack announcements in the summertime is one of my favorite seasons. Even though I am not a huge fan of supernatural gameplay, I am excited to see how this plays out!
In addition, I am hoping for a complete gardening refresh, one that fixes existing bugs and adds seasonal plant effects. Essentially, I just want the system to be more engaging. The idea of talking plants is kind of cool, too.

This feels old and boring. I want the next generation Sims game and creative platform, Project Rene. The future of The Sims, the evolution of The Sims.
People, you do realize that this one is a troll, right? Or at least I hope no one is so dumb to expect good things coming from Project Rene.
There was a big gardening overhaul before. Not that long ago. A year or two, maybe 3 max. Saying that gardening hasn’t been updated since release in 2014 is a lie.
yeah, wasn’t it updated with seasons at least?
it came during cottage living if i’m not wrong
If it was cottage living that’s 4 years ago at this point. Yes, it’s wrong to say there hasn’t been an update, but I also don’t remember the cottage living update being a major overhaul in the way the pre-seasons one was. (Which would’ve been 2018/seven years ago so they’re wrong either way). I might be so used to what it’s been like for four years at this point that I just don’t remember, but what was the update going into cottage living?
When you look at plant sims in sims4 against plant sims in sims3 I don’t hold out much hope for the fairies!!
That’s my cheat sheet! Glad it’s proving useful!
Gardening got an overhaul June 2018 for Seasons. (Patch: 06/19/2018 – PC 1.44.77.1020 / Mac 1.44.77.1220)
I hope this EP brings Fairies and Plantsims
*Technically* Plantsims do already exist.
This rollout is so cool that I lowkey worry that its making the expansion feel like a bigger deal than it will be for me lol
