The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature‘s collection is made up of a few fun items you’ll find while foraging, as well as some weird emotion potions. These potions, sadly, take up a majority of the collection list. I don’t know why. (Please, EA, enough with emotional items, we have so many already.)

I would have much preferred more natural foraging items for the collection, but maybe that’s just me. (It’s not.)

How to Collect

There are a few ways you can collect the Innisgreen Ingredients in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection.

Purchase

One of the easiest is to simply purchase them from Todd Attenberry, aka Apothecary Todd, for you Sims Makin’ Magic players. Todd can be found at his apothecary stall in the Sprucederry neighborhood of Innisgreen.

Todd’s shop is only open from 8 am-7 pm every day. You’ll still be able to purchase some ingredients even if the shop is closed because the crafting table has items you can purchase whenever. While the inventory at his stall changes daily, the items available to purchase at the crafting table are the same items consistently, with new items available as you level up your apothecary skill.

Forage

Forage for ingredients option is locked

The best way to collect the ingredients is to forage them throughout the world. However, ingredient foraging doesn’t unlock until your apothecary skill is level 2. The quickest way to do this is to either buy the skill book from Todd’s stall or by studying apothecary cures at the work table.

Once you’re level 2 in the apothecary skill, you can forage for ingredients by clicking anywhere on the ground. Your sim will then search the area and you’ll be alerted to what they find. Do note that you’ll find all kinds of ingredients used for remedies, not just the collection items.

You’ll need to forage again and again to find everything to finish the collection, as some items are rarer than others. No one said foraging was easy.

Fables

A fun way to find the ingredients in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection is by completing fables. Fables have you running around the world completing quests after speaking to certain key NPC sims in the world of Innisgreen. If you’ve played the Life & Death Expansion Pack, it’s the same concept as collecting the tarot cards, but with a different flavor. By completing these fables, you’ll sometimes be awarded with ingredients.

To take part in the Fable quests, you should seek out one of the Fables Boards throughout the world. They look like the image below.

The Fables Board will show you all of the special NPCs throughout Innisgreen that will give you quests. Stay tuned for our in-depth guide on the Fables feature.

Gardening

For the more green-thumbed Sims, gardening for ingredients is also possible thanks to the Everdew Plants. Three new magical plants introduced in Enchanted by Nature produce different ingredients for you to gather.

Everdew Plants

Aura Blossom – This plant produces Aura Petals

Lightning Root – This plant produces Lightning Root Leaves

Moody Shrub – This plant produces bottled emotions. You can then use bottled emotions to change which emotion the plant produces.

In order to forage for plants in Innisgreen, you need to be level 7 in the Natural Living Skill. Luckily, this is not the only way to procure these rare magical flora. You can also find the aforementioned Fable NPC characters throughout the world and complete their Fable Tasks or trade for the magical seeds. The last, and easiest, way to get these seeds is to buy them at the garden shop in the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood.

Bottling

It’s not the fastest way or the most reliable, but another way of collecting bottled emotions is to bottle them yourself at Moondrop Springs in Everdew. Ask the waters how they’re feeling and they’ll be forthright with their emotional state. If it’s an emotion you’re looking for, feel free to bottle some up to take home with you. The water’s emotional state changes every twelve hours, midnight and noon. You can also only bottle water once in a twelve hour period.

You can also ask the waters to change its emotional state for you. It’s not a guarantee that it will. The chances of it being receptive to your request increases as you befriend Mother Nature.

Crafting

The last way to finish your collection is by crafting. When using the apothecary crafting station, you’re able to use three positive or negative emotion potions to craft one of another type. If you find yourself with too many of one kind, use them to make one of which you don’t have many.

Potions

Additions to previous Collections

Shockingly, there are no additions to any previous collections in the game. The items in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection of Innisgreen Ingredients are the only new collectables in the game. For an expansion pack so focused on both magic and living off the land by foraging, I’m high-key disappointed in this.

I understand that they don’t include new items for other DLC collections, so I wasn’t expecting new items in the Magical Artefacts collection or the Insect collection. However, I thought for sure there would be new frogs, fish, plants, and/or crystals. I find this to be a completely missed opportunity and honestly a let down, especially when the Innisgreen Ingredients collection is mostly made up of weird potions instead of actual foraged items.
