I noticed that the bird in the teaser looks a LOT like the Takahē, a bird native to Aotearoa (New Zealand)!

Haha I came to the comments to say this, but you beat me to it! 😀 Yes I saw that and I was like OMG I know that bird! I was wrong to think Yellowstone when I saw the geyser on the pack cover art. That’s my homeland New Zealand!!!

I didn’t know that bird but I made a little search about geysers when we got the first picture I discovered it could be New Zealand so when I saw the bird and the palms I decided to search directly about blue birds in NZ.

Omg wait, weren’t there rumors that we were getting a New Zealand inspired world before Enchanted By Nature was fully revealed? Ig those rumors were for this pack after all.

Yes exactly – there were aspects of the early promo images of Enchanted by Nature that were reminiscent of NZ, including ferns, and iirc someone said something on Xwitter about “going to NZ” in relation to the pack. Then it became obvious Innisgreen was based on Ireland and that’s where the NZ theory was left behind.

I’ve seen people talk about how The Sims 3 couldn’t run all packs at the same time and how the lasted Sims 4 update gave us the option to toggle packs on and off. If the packs are removed what’s the point? Wouldn’t the removal of packs and stuff interfere with saved data like memories and stuff? It’s hard for me to imagine real gameplay doing things like this. Or do they intend for you to start new saves with specific packs selected and that’s that? I’m just trying to make sense of releasing more packs and stuff if they predict the game won’t be able to run all packs 🙁

I have always been able to run the sims 3 with all the extensions, it was just recommended, however on the sims 3, even by deactivating certain extensions, if you play the sims 3 ambitions, you already have a complete world which is sufficient in itself with restaurant, beaches, police station, hospital etc., you can leave the seasons and the animals and generations, and that is enough, into the future or island paradises is not really useful. In the sims 4, it’s very different, because each expansion has clothes, hairstyles, furniture that you have been using for years, just like the beach of sulani is the only one with that of tartosa, if you deactivate them, you no longer have beaches, if you deactivate “at work” you no longer have the restaurants, so for me it is not tenable, moreover, it is a big excuse not to fix the bugs, there are too many expansions, more than 100 with the packs, kits, they tell you, it does not work, deactivate them, ‘for rent’ causes corrupted saves, deactivate it, but many do not want to, moreover I saw that it caused even more bugs to reactivate them after, they lose the world of tomarang plus all the content, and I agree with that.

You would have to start your save with whatever packs you want active as you were thinking. Lil simsie had a whole video where it was discussed

i’m guessing the final one is like a retreat for singles to meet each other? we can kind of create our own love island or something but probably without the reality/game show aspect lol. sounds kind of fun, though i personally prefer to play with established relationships.

One of the major things that bugs me with these expansion packs is that they go well with other packs but they don’t blend seamlessly. For example Herbalism from Outdoor Retreat and Apothecary from Enchanted By Nature. This is theoretically the same thing. I would have loved to see it be one branch but for whatever reason they’re kept seperate with no integration. Apothecary along with Potions from Realms of Magic and any other sort of gathering natural items and crafting remedies could have been together with each expansion pack expanding the already build system if the player is interested. It feels so segmented in my games when playing these types of characters. I dont always want specific stations and would rather have a fully fleshed out system with integrations to the previous packs.
