The Sims Team Reassures Creators About The Sims 4’s Future in a New Email

Sims 4 Statement to EA Creators

The Sims Team acknowledges the EA Buyout for the first time. Plus, an update on the Black Photos Bug Update for The Sims 4…

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for The Sims 4 community and the future outlook of this franchise. EA announced a buyout by questionable private investors, switching the company from public to private company. Many players, including EA employees saw this change as bad for the future of all gaming studios within Electronic Arts. With talks about possible studio downsizing and closure of low-profit video game studios, such as Bioware.

EA Talks Future of The Sims 4 After The Buyout

The Sims Team hasn’t acknowledged the buyout until a new email surfaced last night. EA Creator @SweetAshGamer shared an email talking about the future of The Sims 4 to its creators.

The first section acknowledged the conversations about the EA buyout. Stating that EA’s mission, values and commitment to players will not change and that The Sims will continue to be a safe space for creating authentic self characters. This hopefully means that the freedom of supporting and creating LGBTQ+ characters will remain the same as it’s been before.

The latter part of the email confirms that The Sims 4 will continue its roadmap of new content from the game. Confirming the November 4th, 2025 Game Update and more content on the horizon “as we look to an exciting 2026”.

James Turned posted he asked to be dropped out of the Creator Network. That’s a good sign. I hope more of these creators will do so as its the best sign to EA we’re not kidding about all of this.

Okay, but it doesn’t matter what they say. They’ll be selling digital rainbows to fund real life discrimination and stripping of LGBTQ+ rights. I don’t care if they make a whole world solely populated by LGBTQ Sims if real people are going to be negatively affected by funneling the money from the sales to far right states and organisations.

Thanks to EA for clarifying things and putting an end to this ridiculous controversy, it is time for the hatred of players to stop and for the current climate full of anger, rage, insults, defamation to stop, stop the community, stop it, let’s find calm and the pleasure of playing.

A lot of people, like me, can’t find calm knowing our game supports a climate of hate and discrimination that affects many people. Being kind to companies that only know us as paying customers is ridiculous, we should be saying something

This does not give you the right to insult youtubers like Satchonsims, or players who do not think like you, you advocate freedom but you spread hatred, this is what the community has become, violent, insulting people, defaming youtubers and insulting other players who just want to continue playing and enjoying the game, even by buying the expansions, you disgust me with your behavior, you created this climate, today, everything is broken because you do not know how to wait for 2027. Nothing will ever be the same again. Shame on you.

Their email feels like a lot of words to say basically nothing tbh. I’m not in the slightest reassured by that
