It’s now official – the 21st Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 is titled Royalty & Legacy!
All the rumors about the last Sims 4 Expansion Pack are coming true. The official title of the next, and alleged last Expansion Pack is The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy. After which we’re supposedly getting The Sims Project X, a new single player experience, for which the alleged preview already leaked a few hours ago.
The title of this Expansion Pack has been roughly translated from the official Game Rating Classification page in South Korea. Revealing the long-rumored theme of the 21st Expansion Pack entry to the series.
The listing only says the following about the Expansion:
The 21st expansion pack for The Sims 4 allows players to become nobles and build a long-lasting dynasty.
So far we’ve had only speculation that the next Expansion Pack is themed around Royalty. This listing confirms that, considering it’s an official game ratings board in South Korea. The game name has been filed on December 18th, with the deliberation date being December 26th.
The leak seems to be matching the official Sims 4 Survey from October 2025 asking players for their input in Legacy Play, Heritage and more.
Leaked Release Date?

Personally I don’t like the theme, but is absolutely cool that it is something that so many Simmers were asking for for so long. Really hoping for a good last EP for those who enjoy the theme

This. Everyone just labels it as medieval when nothing of the leaked information suggests it is… there’s modern royalty too … people are setting themselves up for disappointment here.
I’m guessing they are assuming that from the sims medieval pictures for banners?
No way this will be the last EP.

At least TS4 will have more content for at least 2 years more. Then, kits will keep the game alive for other years.

(there are loads of mods, programs, and file edits that can help with performance, it is worth it and has most of these things)
I hate to say this but we really need to have a scuba and future EP why: to fix mermaids and aliens we can’t have the game end with the actually 2 cool occults being the most basic ones and thown in as a overlooked feature in a ep that’s not around them. Imagine a scuba EP with a neibourhood// hidden world like atlantis with mermaids (like lil mermaid) and an alien world fixed that’s actually cool maybe like lilo and stitch idk

I think this ep is going to come with blacksmith, sewing and a spiral stairs basegame update. At least sewing is confirmed from the leaks.

Okay Now The Sims 4 team has caught my interest please EA collaborated with The Walt disney company on the African theme world bring in the Lion king
Lol I’m a total Disney wanker and would honestly love another Disney collab but considering how cursed and terrible Journey to Batuu was, I have a feeling there would be riots at EA if they tried it again.
I’m surprised. I did not see this coming at all, and after having been in the sims 4 community for years, I wasn’t aware this was something people were genuinely asked for. Other than that mod that seemed to eventually fade from interest? Maybe I was just in a bubble inside of a bubble. Fairies, live-in businesses, horses, and things like that made me think they were listening. I guess I actually wasn’t lol
Bands and hotels, though? Mentioning these even sounds repetitive by now.
It’s kind of a shame the game will only have one proper metropolis. Oh, well.

It is kind of wild for a life simulator that’s been around for so long that bands and hotels haven’t been introduced for sims 4 as well as other common travel devices like skateboards or cars that sims can use to give some immersion than them disappearing into the void for work or school. Would’ve been nice to have amusement parks too as a SP or GP. Still irked that they wasted resources and time on Batuu as that could’ve been used for something more useable and less niche. It’s also wild that it took so many years for sims 4 to get a neighborhood (not an actual world) with Africa as an inspiration when we’ve had several American and Uk inspired worlds. Hotels could’ve been introduced with a nice Caribbean themed world.
My favorite about it is that:
1. All the other games have hotels, and only ts2 didn’t officially have bands (but did have drums I believe), not to mention at the very least carpools like in ts1, but I never really had hopes for cars.
And 2. that with 100 dlc it still does better as an aesthetic simulator rather than as a life sim.
A bloated mess, is what this game is. A refresh of sorts does make sense, since making a whole new game takes a long time and sims 4 has been the most profitable, but also the msot broken due to a shakey foundation and ungodly amount of dlc.
I’m… torn. I play medieval and historical in general, so this might work with my gameplay. But at the same time, I also play modern, and don’t necessarily want royalty in my day-to-day gameplay. I’d rather it be a music/band themed pack.
It probably follows the modern monarchy ep vote that won in late 2024
Why do we have to have an African world? Ok but I hope they have some wild animals too.

Hope the worlds are pretty so far I really only like the World that came with the Original Game, and Cottage Living, the rest are dull.
