Don’t trust the rumors that keep popping up on your google search for The Sims 4-related things as SimGuruLyndsay has finally set the records straight.
Lyndsay Pearson, Senior Producer for The Sims 4, confirmed that a console version for The Sims 4 won’t see the light of day anytime in the near future.
I want to clarify that we have no plans for a console version of The Sims 4 anytime in the near future. Ignore the rumors.

It’s still unclear if The Sims 4 will ever get made for consoles like previous Sims games, but if not, we fully support The Sims Team for focusing on the PC version on the game.
I find it odd that there isn’t a console version, or at least, a mobile version. Considering The Sims console games HAVE sold pretty well (despite the games having mixed or negative reception).
The mobile versions also did pretty well. (At least, TS3 Mobile and TS Medievil).
