The Sims Team has released a brand new update for The Sims 4 on PC, Mac and Console!
To download the latest version of The Sims 4, simply open your Origin program and if the game doesn’t update automatically, right-click on The Sims 4 and select ”Update.” For console players, your game should update automatically however if it doesn’t simply go into the game options and you will be able to update from there.
For PC and Mac users – In case you have Mods or Custom Content, the game will automatically disable them for you after first launching The Sims 4 after the update. To re-enable all your Mods and Custom Content, select the Settings option in the menu and select Settings. Under the” Other” section you’ll find the ”Enable Custom Content and Mods” option. Check it and restart your game in order for it to take effect!

Ohhh kind of sad they haven’t fixed the insect farms yet. They’re pretty much unusable if you have more than one because of how many times you have to nurture them to make them continue growing. (I actually caused one of my sims to starve to death just trying to get 6 insect farms to healthy at the same time without any of them dying LMAO it’s near impossible.)

Looks up LittleMsSams mod “Nuture gives more Heath” it increases the animation time and give like triple the health to bugs! A blessing
I thought that was me forgetting they were there.I was like didn’t I just nurture you. I thought I could have my sim run her store during the day at like 10am but by the time she was finally done with only two bug houses it was already 1pm so she didn’t get back from her store til after 9pm and then had to take care of her needs in the meantime. I got rid of them long story short. But I just read someone recommended a mod so I’ll try that.
Wish they’d look into the disappearing items bug that I’ve discovered. Bills are completely paid and there’s no repo man, and the sharing initiative isn’t active. Randomly my furniture just disappears from my house and is never to be seen again
That’s the recycle disciple trait not a bug. If you haven’t recycled recently then your sim swipes their own stuff and recycles it for bits and pieces.

I had to delete everything in my game because of this! Even after the update my saves still would not load! I lost all my generations! Having to start again! And it’s not the same just re downloading them from our library! It worked for the first 2 days then zip!
The game deleted my save file as well. I lost all my families..buy I still have my houses because I always have them to my gallery
Why is it always the damn couch?
My Sim doesn’t have the recycle disciple trait and things in my house keep disappearing. Counters, cat food bowls, my laptops, and other items just *poof*. I don’t like to play with cheats, but I had to enable cheats so that I could get money to re-purchase items that keep disappearing multiple times a day.
Exact same thing is happening to me- desperately looking for a solution. The chess table and chairs, bookshelf, counter, etc etc randomly disappear during gameplay. No kleptos, no visitors and my family is witches, doesn’t go into inventories just…gone. Have to cheat money to keep my house working :’(
I thought that was a whole bug on it’s own!! So glad I read this. I kept getting the notification that my sim successfully swiped something despite not having the klepto trait and no item being in the inventory. It took me ages to fabricate a sofa and I just realised it was gone!
I’ve heard that Sims with the Freegan trait will recycle random furniture if you don’t let them rummage through trash regularly. I myself have had issues with decor going missing and thought that might be the reason. Not 100% sure though.
the sharing is caring neighborhood action plan also allows your sim and other sims to swipe objects .

Go to settings in The Sims menu
Go into the options menu. You can turn it off there. I was so annoyed too, thinking it was just stuck like that.

Same here! I actually noticed today that my sim’s nanny appeared to be coming in and stealing the dining table and chairs. I think it has something to do with the voted upon community project thingy that was geared towards stealing. I can’t figure out how to get it back though, I’ve had to buy a table 3 times
If you have eco its probably the “sharing is caring” from neighborhood voting
There is also the NAP called Sharing is Caring or whatever, and other sims will come and take your stuff.
It your neighborhood has the sharing is caring some will come in and take things from your house I thought I was something was wrong with my game, thing Just keep disappearing from my how until I caught one sims (that I invited over) Stealing my TV and TV stand.
Do you have the recycle disciple trait? If they havent recycled in a while they ‘steal’ stuff which turns to recycle parts
If your sim is a recycle disciple and hasn’t recycled anything in a minute, they will steal their own stuff to recycle. Very annoying

Does the neighborhood have Sharing as a NAP? It says that your stuff might randomly go missing unless you repeal it and change it
Yes, that is exactly my experience as well. It happen after this latest update too.
Make sure your community is not set to sharing is caring. Veto replace vote that mess out and you should keep your stuff.
I had a sim swipe her own couch. She wasn’t a kleptomaniac, still not sure how it happened. If I wouldn’t have seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it.
Does your sim have the recycle disciple trait? If so your sim will ‘swipe’ items from their house when they recycled anything for a while.
I found that my sim swipes things but she doesn’t have the klepto trait. The items don’t show up in her inventory or the household inventory. I just get a notification saying that she successfully took something without anyone catching her. It’s SO annoying! She keeps stealing her own laptop!

They didnt even look into the wall garden bug, plants there can’t be evolved unless moved off the wall fixture. Lame.

Idk if it is just me but since console players got the update for the gallery, my has been crashing and when it is time to save i always get the “error 0” and it won’t allow me to save…i currently don’t have any cc on my game 🙁 and idk if it’s a problem on EA’s end but please help.

That’s a CC issue – they don’t fix bugs around broken CC. Download updated custom eye CC.

yes my game worked for about 2 days after eco came out. after doing everything on this earth i got my game to work after deleting the game i was currently playing. it’s running just fine now. but now i’m so stressed out and tired from it i don’t wanna play

Any one have problem with a crap on of clay in there inventory?!? All the time?!
I’ve been wondering about that! After starting the community lot w/ the landfill trait, it seems literally every sim has clay, and about 3 pieces of clay in their inventory. I used Scumbumbo’s autonomy scan through MCCC to disable autonomously playing with clay.
My sim constantly pulls a lump of clay and a future cube out of nowhere no matter how many times I delete then from his inventory. I think he found them at the Goths house but now I’m cursed with them
Has there been any answer for the ‘clay’ issue. I have it, too. No matter how many times I sell them, they reappear & the sim plays with them autonomously. Also, that same sim keeps randomly pulling out this HUGE tablet that I’ve never seen before & scribbling like he’s checking off tasks. AND all my sims seem to randomly be autonomous although autonomy is off. What’s up with this? Any feedback?
I have this issue too, it’s driving me crazy. I have autonomy off for a reason, please stop doing stuff on your own, frick.

nope looks like its still broken. Time stops can’t click on anything but the surrounded animations still moving and just no Sims movement. Ugh its been nearly week.
The same with me when I click on the computer in the house it is making me so mad it just start when the new pack came out
Same here, I couldn’t even save my game, can’t select any action or pause/speed, sims and things are still moving in the back
oh good glad I am not the only one experiencing this ordeal, hope it fixes soon. Usually I start a new game play a few moments, go back to my current one and all is good but nothing as of yet

Legit my sims will start doing one thing and stop. Then go do something else. When trying To make them finish the task they refuse to do it. I turned off autonomy for the Sims and the still do it!!!

My whole game legit broke. Sims hair and clothes would just randomly disappear, and the sims would glitch out just doing everyday take like using the computer or interacting with other sims. The sims would do that “I can’t go there interaction” when I told them to go sit somewhere that they should quite clearly be able to sit at. I thought it might’ve been mccommand center (it’s the only mod I have in my game) so I tried running it without mcc and it still had all of the bugs. Why did it do this??? Everything ran so well before.
So my sim will go pee, and the toilet will catch on fire??? Can we fix that lol
Did you check if it’s a compost toilet and the compost is full?
I can’t see the photos after taking them with the camera. It doesn’t even show up on the wall…
this is hilarious. I noticed my sims were peeing fire recently but I thought it was just a weird effect I hadn’t noticed before
You need to have a bug farm thing and compost the waste in it. It’s from an upgrade to the toilet.
Hey I’m on console (Xbox one) and it won’t update ? My game keeps crashing and won’t even load anymore. I’ve tried to turn my console and game on and Off again (By pressing quit) multiple times and even tried manually attempting to update from the settings but it continues to say “queued”. I REALLY can’t afford to lose the game entirely because of this. I don’t know what to do and I’m becoming very anxious. If anyone could help, please do.

Really… that’s all…audio has problems if I play for more than hour, game gets really glitchy if j more for 30 mins (console-xbox) and its only bee. Doing this since the last freaking update
The game is still glitchy- sims won’t do simple tasks, I can’t get my sim to travel. Also there’s this weird thing where my son’s pets disappear as if they’re not in the same world after 10 minutes of playing??
I’m starting to get kicked out of my game when trying to travel. I can’t believe how many bugs the patch and the expansion pack has. I do LOVE the expansion pack but I can’t play fully while trying to avoid every thing that’s wrong. 🙁
Curious if the get famous gig glitch was fixed in the original update that caused all these problems that had to be addressed in the last 2 updates. There’s been 3 updates recently I’m hoping one of them fixed it but if not I guess I should just be happy this game is playable again

Is anyone else getting the glitch that causes your Sims to not eat? I’ll have them make something or get out leftovers, they’ll take it and sit down then the interaction just cancels. It takes 4-5 times of me dragging the food back to the fridge and starting the action again before they will actually eat it. It’s very frustrating.

My Sims stuff keeps disappearing!
Whole house was wiped out after a house party. Even Sims without Klepto trait are making my stuff disappear!
It could be because your NAP is sharing is caring or that sims there had the recycle disciple trait I think.
After the patch, all my roofs have disappeared. Can only see the “wall” part of the roof and the roof trims. And this happened in all my save games. Adding or removing the current roof doesn’t make a difference.
The lastest update messed up a lot of things in my game, I dont appreciate it after all the effort and time I put forth to build such a lovely community. The tiny house nonsense also is really bad. Who ever did this whole update really had no appreciation of the game. Heads should roll.
There is still a bug where sims refuse to do the “Scoot over” animation on beds.

I can’t create a new pet or download a pet from the gallery, even though i have the cats and dogs expansion pack. Please fix this issue
My sims were getting on my damn nerves yesterday. I was playing the Pleasant view family (re-made versions) and all they did was bake wedding cake. Bloody wedding cake!!! This was all over the house, mixing bowls and cake ingredients everywhere. They did their usual crap like go to work and wicked whim all over the place lol but whenever it’s time to cook a meal the bloody mixing bowl came out and a wedding cake was made…..annoying!!!! Then I moved Lilith out to go live with Dirk and guess what her first frigging meal was that she cooked?? I’m going to kill her if it continues LOOOL. It’s only her and the rest of the Pleasant family that do this. If this continues I’m going to drown the whole effing family. Point is this didn’t happen before the update but like I said it’s only THIS household. Apart from that everything else works just fine.

I can’t travel in the game nor can I order or anything via pc and phone without there coming a yellow square or half a square or a pink circle in the middle of the screen so I can’t play the Sims only build
Man I swear this patch has changed there AI they all seem sluggish now they all wait like 10 seconds before doing anything some times I have to tell them to do things multiple times and the only dlc I have is city living, vampires, and jobs.
