EA releases a brand new game update for The Sims 4.
There’s a new The Sims 4 Update across PC, Mac and Console platforms including Xbox and Playstation. The newest Sims 4 Patch addresses community concerns and reports from the latest Sims 4 Laundry List. We’ll be updating the post as we find out more about the Patch.

Installing the Latest Sims 4 Update
You can get the latest The Sims 4 Update on the following official launchers and platforms:
- PC: EA App, Origin, Steam, Epic Games
- Mac: Origin, Steam
- Playstation: PS4 and PS5
- Xbox: Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S
You can download the latest Sims 4 Update by checking for a Patch through the EA App, Steam or Epic Games launcher for Desktop. If you have Automatic Updates enabled the update will automatically download through your client program. In case your EA App is not working properly ensure you’ve cleared your app cache!
If you play The Sims 4 on Xbox Series X / S and Playstation 4 and 5 you can request a new update by checking for updates under The Sims 4 game in the Main Menu. If you’ve enabled automatic updates the Patch should download right away.

Today’s update is primarily aimed at preparing the game for the upcoming Nature’s Calling Quest Event, which begins on June 24. In addition, we’ve addressed some issues with the Sleek Bathroom and Sweet Allure Creator Kits, and fixed a particularly pesky routing error impacting fishing spots in Sulani that was called out in our most recent Laundry List.

Base Game

- [EA Forums] Addressed an issue causing routing errors when using fishing spots in Sulani.
Businesses & Hobbies
- The Orphée Noah song “Stuff That I Like” inadvertently used an older version of the song. This has been updated to use the correct, final version of the song.
Sleek Bathroom
- [EA Forums] The Throne of Stone toilet’s back plate is now properly hidden when placed against a wall.
- [EA Forums] The Olive You Forever plant now shows correct visibility when rotated.
- The Wave Goodbye Privacy Screen now shows swatches on all glasses.
- Rock Solid Faux Walls can now be placed side by side.
Sweet Allure
- The color of the tights (yfAcc_TightsSP64CK006Bow) will remain consistent regardless of the skin tone of the Sim wearing them.
- Fixed visual glitch on the backs of Sims’ legs when wearing the skirt (yfBottom_SP64CK006Skirt).
- Fingernails no longer clip into a Sims finger when wearing the Layered Sweater (ymTop_SP64CK006LayeredSweater).
- Fixed armpit indent/clipping issue seen on masculine frames in the blazer (ymTop_SP64CK006Blazer)
MacOS System Requirement Update
Additionally, it has been revealed that The Sims 4 Base Game has updated minimum system requirements for MacOS. Which are now the following:

- Processor: Intel Core i3-3225 3.5 GHz (2 cores, 4 threads) or better.,
- Memory (RAM): At least 4 GB RAM.,
- Hard drive (free space): At least 25 GB, plus 1 GB for custom content and saved games.,
- Graphics card (video): Intel HD 4000 or better, with Metal support.,
- Input: Keyboard and mouse.,
- Internet connection: Required for product activation.,
- Video RAM: 256 MB or better.
Previous Mac OS minimum system requirements:

the upper right menu with game options, notifications and such has some overlapping with this update. i’m unsure which mod of mine is causing this, maybe betterbuildbuy since last time the UI glitched out after an update it was because of that mod.
You should remove your mods before updating. You shouldn’t play with potentially outdated mods as they can affect your save and/or playing experience. So best practice is either play without your mods temporarily or hold off playing until the creator(s) either clear or update their mods. You can check the forums for updates too.
Good advice but I’ve yet to actually plan that far ahead. Until starting to write here I didn’t know about new updates until they magically appeared.
However, I don’t play with old mods, most of the time. I watch for updates and use few mods. I’m picky about those I keep and avoid having any that overlap in functions. I’ve had a lot less chaos with new updates that way. Still, the worst thing is having Sims walk around half naked and bald even after I turn mods and CC on again.
yeah, i have a bunch of free patreon memberships to keep an eye on mod updates and the other ones where it’s not possible to get email updates bookmarked with a regular eye on them. i just wanted to test out if there were any immediate noticable conflicts and also mess around in CAS a bit as i’ve been designing sims more than i’ve been playing with them lol.
Last time I thought it was BE after the 50 50 process. It was something else. Every update gives mod and CC players a little Rubik’s cute test. 🙂
mine is doing the same, I’ve been trying to figure out what mod, but so far no luck. I deleted all mods better exceptions listed and it didn’t help.
BE lists mods that create script issues, it’s unlikely to catch something that bugs the ui, because the issue isn’t likely to be script based.
try removing anything that affects ui, BBB, UI cheats extension, etc. If you aren’t sure which mods do what, then do the 50/50 method until you find the culprit.
as a side note if you use a cc wrench remover or replacer, I would try that first. there are a LOT of ui elements that are tied to that one, and it’s not unusual for it to break.
I have the same issue. I’ve not tried to fix it but BE pointed out that ‘only’ PrivatePractice and various cc animations may cause problems.
No fix for Seasons, shocker. Its yet another Dine Out pack. Abandoned forever but still being sold for full price.
Be patient. They know about this bug and have it under investigation, but keep in mind it can be hard for them to replicate the error and then know what is causing it. It’s not that simple.
I’m having an issue currently with seasons…. Rains and or Snows inside house. yes, there is a roof….
But in what sense? Because when it comes to graphic effects, it’s normal. Unless you mean, for example, that equipment breaks down and puddles appear in houses?
Same having this issue as well was hoping it was fixed with this patch but I guess not.
How can this be disabled? I’m not a new player and it is annoying.
Mine keep Appearing again and again even though I’ve dismissed them.
Menu -> Game Options -> Tutorial & Tips
Uncheck “Enable help Center Icon & Controls Legend”
Apply changes.
This worked for me. Hopefully this helps others with the same issue of the annoying game control overlay.

I always mumble a little FFS or eye roll when I accidentally summon her. It’s annoying. She should only appear for a new save and be available through the settings to have her reappear. Though not as annoying and as invasive as the paperclip…
I have an issue with xLarge rounded rooms, where they can’t be split up into individual rooms. It was possible before todays patch. Anyone with a similar issue?
Issue with my builds. I’m trying to add 1 room to an existing house. I sledgehammer the wall, but it doesn’t delete. Can’t place lights or items down and it’s stuck on the save screen.
I don’t play with mods or CC.
I would check the forums to see if this has happened to someone else and if there’s a fix. If not then you can add more details and click the me too button so it gets a higher priority.
Mine has been consistently having this issue and similar. Build mode doesn’t allow item placement. Freezes on save. Crashes unexpectedly. Then again it will work for a period of time in build mode and then boom placement locked.
Still no fix for werewolf nose glitch. C’mon EA… our werewolves look a bit off with that glitch.
I am having issues where my sims interactions are being cancelled. Such as nectar making or the work interactions on the computer. I have removed CC and created new save files, updated CC and deleted old CC which I no longer use. The issue continues whether I have CC installed or not. Any ideas?

I have a ps4 and I still haven’t gotten the new patch update at all I thought the update was for everyone but it looks like just pc players got the new patch update
Can I get rid of this thing in the middle of my screen telling me what the controls are? I’ve been playing this game for years, I know the controls, this serves no purpose except to be a constant annoyance. Is there a setting where I can turn that off?!
