Today The Sims Team announced The Sims Board Game, which is set to be revealed – and hopefully released – in July 2025.

The first leak for this Board Game included a first look into the board map itself, as well as the cards and other game features.

Today, some new findings have been uncovered about The Sims Board Game. Including a refreshed box cover, an unlocked Press Release from Brandgenuity and the official suggested retail price.

An official Press Release about The Sims Board Game comes from Licenseglobal. Who published the release on February 28th, 2025. It could mean that some information about the release date has been changed since the press release, so don’t take the wording about “coming this fall” too literall.

Goliath Games has announced a new partnership with “The Sims” franchise to create the first board game based on “The Sims,” one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time.
Slated for release in fall, “The Sims” board game will capture the spirit of creativity, self-expression, and gameplay that has made the video game a global, pop culture phenomenon.

An updated box cover art for The Sims Board Game has been spotted on the ToyBook.com website, with a MSRP price set for $19.99USD and a suggested age rating set for 12+.
Gamers can celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Sims on the tabletop instead of the screen. This new board game is said to bring the “storytelling and fun” of The Sims into the physical world.

There’s currently no information about the precise release date. But we’ll get to know more as we approach July. Or as more retail stores put The Sims Board Game up. As it was mentioned in the Press Release, this game plans to be distributed in a lot of physical and online game stores worldwide!

While I rolled my eyes when I first heard about the board game, I actually could be pretty interested in one. I would love to play a better version of Life or Careers, especially with a retro Sims comedy slant.
That said, the preview pictures look more like a quick gimmick game; kind of like Crumbl’s Cover Your Cookies slant of Cover Your Assets.
Here’s hoping I am wrong.

Board games always bring up feelings of coziness and connection. I hope that for those who are interested this is a well thought out and designed one! The box cover looks sleek and has a nice unique style.
The cowplant on the box looks more like a fish with the nostrils as eyes. The leaves look like fins/ tail in back.
