The Sims 4: Custom Content Tracker

Hey everyone, it’s Zerbu here!

I come today with a brand new tool for users of custom content, The Sims 4 CC Tracker. It performs one simple function: it lists the .package files you used for a certain Sim.

Previously, if you wanted to share a Sim that used CC, you would need to manually keep track of the CC you used in order to link back to it.

I might update the program in the future to include lots and rooms, but I’m not making any promises.

You can download The Sims 4 CC Tracker here: http://zerbu.tumblr.com/post/104251575512/the-sims-4-cc-tracker

  • PLEASE !! PLEASE !! make one for lots!!!! I HATE Not having custom content on the lots I upload but hate keeping track of it even more!! This tool would be indispensable for builders!

  • Thanks Sims Community for posting Zerbu Custom Content Tracker. I was manually organizing my cc an it took a long time, now my cc folder just got at boost with this tracker. I keep CC Tracker separate in my Documents folder from EA game folder, so as not to have my game crash. When I am in CAS I keep the CC Tracker minimize on my lower tool bar for a quick reference of the items that I used for a particular Sim and fellow simmers request of cc used. This tool has another great asset or purpose too. If a particular custom content is crashing my game, I can pinpoint it much quicker and remove if from my cc folder. Again thanks and keep on simming – Eyeswinky ^_~

  • is this broken? when I try to use it it says “One or more package files in C:\Users\[My username]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\[sub folders] could not be opened. The most common cause of this problem is that The Sims 4 CC Tracker is trying to access a file while it is in use by The Sims 4. If you have the game open, either close it down or create a copy of your Mods folder and set that to be used instead. If you do not have the game open, make sure none of your package files are in use by another tool.” I don’t have the files open anywhere else and have tried the alternate mods folder, neither have worked. it goes through that dialog several times, then starts not responding, and then more of those dialog boxes pop up. I click through them, but they never seem to end and I can’t actually click on anything in the actual program.

  • I get the SAME EXACT error message as Mindy: One or more package files in C:\Users\[My username]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\[sub folders] could not be opened. The most common cause of this problem is that The Sims 4 CC Tracker is trying to access a file while it is in use by The Sims 4. If you have the game open, either close it down or create a copy of your Mods folder and set that to be used instead. If you do not have the game open, make sure none of your package files are in use by another tool.

I make sure my game is off. It sill doesn;t work. I took out ALL my mods, one by by one and still I get the same error.

Does anyone know a solution or what is causing this issue?

  • I have a problem about my sim having clothes on while taking a shower.I saw a site, they said it’s about my Mods. That site directed me here and saw one comment that she used this CC tracker. May I know hot to use this and how can I fix my problem?
