Alright. This is dope!
I don’t know how I feel about the style of the video…on one hand it’s a fun departure from what they usually do but kinda straddles the line of appropriation/ tryin too hard to be “woke”. More than that I wish there was more direct info about what changed beyond nails and kids doing yoga
Can you explain what you mean? Why does black sims and black music in an ad seem “woke” to you?
Oh it’s own it doesn’t but compared to what they have done in the past. They have a very typical style they use for everything they do and this feels like “whimsical nails = black people” or at least they were trying to be more inclusive and the nails is what made them choose to make the video more “black” as opposed to just making any other pack (or more importantly the og Spa pack trailer before they added nails; which is what makes me feel they trying to be woke like “we weren’t last time but we are now”). Also is this the first time they’ve used actual English music for a trailer? Isn’t it usually a simmish pop song? I think thats what’s throwing me off as well.
So are the nails and the childs doing yoga now are everything we get with the refresh? xD The Trailer looks like the Pack is the same like before.
