Back in May we got the CAS Preference Update for The Sims 4 which allows players to choose different preferences such as Favorite Color, Music, Interests and Decor if you have Dream Home Decorator.
It was already proven by the community that adding new Categories and Preferences is possible, and The Sims Team did state that they’re definitely open to adding new Preferences in the future.
Modder @WickedWhims spotted a new piece of code that’s been added in after the latest Update, showing the new code that allows for clothing Preferences. The game could, in the future, allow players to choose Preferences for different clothing, accessories and makeup.

Ohhhhh I wonder if this is the base for an attraction system similar to the one included in the Sims 2 Nightlife expansion?
How about relationship preference where a Sim chooses if they prefer male or female relationships?
a food prefrence would be great that way you can set their favorite foods
