Internet Icon Hobby Event
Yesterday we received a new event quest to unlock the new ‘Internet Icon’ hobby for Sims Mobile! This new hobby was inspired by EA Game Changers.
How to Unlock
We have a little less than 3 days to unlock this hobby. There are two ways to unlock the Internet Icon hobby. You can complete a quest line with 18 quests or buy the ‘Internet Icon Heirloom Pack’ for $9.99 (USD).
Completing both the quest or buying the pack with reward you with the “Antique Webcam” heirloom.
The Heirloom is the required to unlock the “Fledgling Streamer Station” to start playing the new hobby!
Quest Walk through
Below are the 18 quests needed to be completed in order to unlock the Internet Icon hobby.
Part 1 of 18 – Get Spiffed Up For Fans
Take a Shower and click the blue Event.
Part 2 of 18 – Ask 3 Sims About Simstagram
Tap any Sim who is not a stranger and tap the blue Event. If the Sim is a stranger, introduce yourself first.
Part 3 of 18 – Start A Friendly Story
Tap any Sim you are not already friends with and tap “Begin A Friendship”. Once you complete that event you’ll be prompted to select a story.
Part 4 of 18 – Earn 3 Stars At A Party
Go to any party and earn three stars by interacting with other sims.
Part 5 of 18 – Earn 650 Simoleons
Complete Hobby events or send your Sims to work to earn Simoleons.
Part 6 of 18 – Complete 3 Relationship Events
Tap on friends or family and trigger the pink Events to complete this.
Part 7 of 18 – Complete the Fashion Icon Event
Tap on a couch or loveseat to begin this event. Your sim will be transported to Market Square. The event takes 8 hours to complete, or you can fast-forward it for 93 Sim Cash. This is not linked to the Fashion Designer career, you can use any Sim.
Part 8 of 18 – Start A New Hobby
You just need to START a hobby, you don’t need to do anything else.
Part 9 of 18 – Complete the Fan Club Event
Tap on a couch or loveseat to begin this event. Your sim will be transported to Downtown. The event takes 8 hours to complete, or you can fast-forward it for 93 Sim Cash.
Part 10 of 18 – Complete the Daily To Do List
Complete everything in your daily to do list.
Part 11 of 18 – Complete the Biz Event
Tap on a couch or loveseat to begin this event. Your sim will be transported to Downtown. The event takes 8 hours to complete, or you can fast-forward it for 93 Sim Cash.
Part 12 of 18 – Complete the Daily To Do List again
Complete everything in your daily to do list.
Part 13 of 18 – Earn 20 Sim Tickets
Complete any interactions with other sims to earn Sim Tickets, go to Parties, or watch ads.
Part 14 of 18 – Complete the Fashion Icon Event
Tap on a couch or loveseat to begin this event. Your sim will be transported to Market Square. The event takes 8 hours to complete, or you can fast-forward it for 93 Sim Cash. This is not linked to the Fashion Designer career, you can use any Sim.
Part 15 of 18 – Buy New Clothing/Apparel
Buy three new pieces of clothing.
Part 16 of 18 – Complete the Fan Club Event
Tap on a couch or loveseat to begin this event. Your sim will be transported to Downtown. The event takes 8 hours to complete, or you can fast-forward it for 93 Sim Cash.
Part 17 of 18 – Complete 2 Hobby Story Chapters
These are the little sub-missions that pop up at levels 3, 5, 7, and 10 of any career or hobby. You need to complete any two. Doing two of the Level 3 ones on different sims works fine.
Part 18 of 18 – Complete the Fashion Icon Event

The pack says $6.99 for me, and I’m in the US..
Hello, I already have 4 Sims and they all have a hobby so I’m stuck at part 8/18. And all my Sims are only at unlocking the third trait and are far from retiring. Any way how I can pass this? I don’t have the piano hobby yet.
I’m in the same situation. Thinking about just buying the hobby pack for $6.99.. Sucks, but I don’t want to retire a sim yet nor will I have enough time to complete the 18 quests. Maybe buying it could be an option for you too?
Yeah. I get what you mean. It’s a bit more expensive for me as it is RM29.90 for me. But you know, it’s like, why pay when you can get it for free? I think this problem wasn’t within their calculation when they created the event. It’s a good event though. Just hoping that something can be sorted out. Though maybe if it is sorted then there isn’t enough time to complete the rest of the quest to get it. Thanks for your response though
Just make one of your sims start a different hobby from the one they’re currently doing. It does matter if the hobby has already been completed by another sim. You can then always flip back afterwards, as all hobby progress is saved. Make sense?

It’s tough! I’m just about to finish it all, but have had to use over 20 cupcakes I had saved to do it! Its not possible if you don’t have them and can play the game all day, or instead have lots of simdollars to speed it up (in which case you may as well just buy it outright!)
