Are Sims 4 fashion and clothing stores popular on The Sims 4 Gallery and with simmers? With the latest collaboration with Coach happening recently in The Sims 4, we thought we would have a look to see just how popular jewelry, fashion and clothing stores might be in The Sims 4 and within the Sims community.

The nine-item Coach collection (with 65 swatches and variations) brought wearable jackets, varsity pieces, unisex tees, sneakers, skirts, and iconic bags into both Create-A-Sim (CAS) and Build/Buy mode. So do we think this was another fashion drop like we have seen before or did this add to an already existing category in The Sims.

The Sims community have been designing fashion boutiques, chic clothing stores, and shopping districts that reshape what a Sims town looks like for years now, here are a couple of builds we found that we thought we would showcase here today.

As it turns out, jewelry, fashion and clothing stores are all quite popular in the game with simmers. Using The Sims 4: Get to work and The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies simmers are creating stores where your Sims can go shopping! From jewels to bags, formalwear to kids clothing – there are all kinds of stores to be found on the gallery. Builders are pulling out all the stops to create window displays, fitting rooms, multi-story stores and even photo worthy spaces.

Evan & Lee Fashion Shop – evan0701lee

This space not only feels lived in but it feels comfortable enough for hanging out as much as shopping.

Parisian Fashion Boutique – NolanaSims

Retail spaces can give Sims purpose, with stories around designers, shop owners, stylists, and customers, sometimes even people who live above these spaces. If your Sim ends up living above this store one could almost say fashion lives here! Because surely the Sim living above a fashion store would pick up some tips, tricks and styling ideas from the store below. This lot is definitely inspired by modern high-street retail in Paris, with retail below and residential above. This store is refined through Sims-scale minimalism and fashion is only part of the experience here.

There is a fashion store on the ground floor, a styling studio on the second floor and a cute little apartment with a spacious balcony on the top floor. I mean there is a limo parked outside… Miranda Priestly and Andrea must be nearby right?!

Crystal Gems Jewelry Shop – pattymelt_berndt

What started out as a shell challenge by zefrineTTV over on the gallery was turned into this beautiful jewelry and crystal store by pattymelt_berndt. Fancy yourself a browse? There are gems and crystals of all shapes, colors and sizes to behold in this quaint little store where shining bright like a diamond takes on a new look. And if your Sims are looking to up their gemology skill while learning all about their new craft there are also books available to purchase to help you on your journey. Nothing sparkles quite like a custom jewelry piece and with how stocked this little shop is your Sim could be making custom pieces for the whole neighborhood.

Lady Fashion Shop – katiana71

A great way the creator describes their build is modern and elegant. This store feels closer to a fashion editorial set than a traditional shop, and it helps that there is a fashion studio attached for some quick shots of your newly styled Sims. This is a boutique that feels curated, it is soft with neutral tones. The natural light helps set the tone for a calm shopping experience. It is designed to feel soothing, like a walk in the park on a cool day feeling both minimal and inviting all at the same time.

Clothing Retail Store – InnoWinno

Using light in The Sims is sometimes something that is overlooked or not thought through too carefully apart from having decent lighting at night. This store uses lighting and space to create different areas of interest for your sims to explore. The intentional lighting highlights forms and textures throughout the lot, building onto the blue and pink represented on either side of the store. This design is bold and experimental where very corner feels posed, as if the space itself is ready for a photoshoot.

Clothing Store – battyivy21

This store feels like it belongs in a high end TV show or movie. Miranda Priestly and Andrea were mentioned before and one thing is for sure, if this shop had brands Prada would be one. We can just imagine the main characters breezing through the open space which feels more editorial rather than crowded. What sets these fashion stores apart is how thoughtfully they’re staged.

Clothing racks aren’t packed wall-to-wall but instead items are spaced out to feel placed with a purpose. Mirrors and mannequins are added with intention, large windows letting in all the natural light to show off the beauty within and plenty of space to move around. There may be what seems like minimal stock but it is executed with maximum impact. The layout prioritizes atmosphere over volume and considering this is The Sims, it works perfectly.

Modern Jewelry – BrunaSouzaG

This store is built around flow rather than display. But boy do these displays speak for themselves. It is quietly confident, minimal and modern. A solid build that has a strikingly beautiful façade and just as much beauty within. There is opulence in every corner with clean layouts and curated displays through the store. Looking for a special something for a special someone? Look no further than this gem!

Chanel Fashion Botique – Kingkuice

Some builders might design their own original clothing and fashion stores inspired by real-world style and space, while others are out here re-creating brand stores in The Sims 4. This build isn’t a replica by any means but it is a luxurious and gorgeous interpretation of Chanel stores. Adding that extra touch to this space is custom made art pieces, all Chanel themed or branded. Though this build is both ground floor and basement, if your Sims visit this lot they are bound to elevate their style. And the main office built in downstairs? Immaculate for this lot.

Through well planned design, careful staging, and a clear aesthetic vision, builders are creating original retail spaces one thoughtfully styled lot at a time. All of these builds, and countless more that fill the gallery, are intentional from the floor plan up. Retail has atmosphere and a sense of character, which all of these builds showcase. They are built around a vibe. And who doesn’t love a good vibe when shopping?!
