First Look At New Pack Covers
While they haven’t been updated on Steam, EA App, or any other storefronts, it seems that older Expansion Packs are getting a fresh coat of marketing paint. Thanks to the Maker Program video provided by EA Help, we have our first look at these new designs. Now that The Sims 4 is supposedly not getting any new Expansion Packs, it seems the team are preparing for the packs to receive their definitive look. Check them out below!

OMG, so it’s really over : s
THANK YOU LORD
It’s hard to believe. I’m pretty sad, I definitely won’t buy anything using Marketplace so that’s it for me. Wow.
Same. Maybe when it’s fully considered “dead” the marketplace will turn into what the S3 marketplace turned into with so much being free. Probably not with the way they seem to have things coded but you know, one can only hope.
Seems different here being content produced by creators not just Maxis. If they change the prices that (I believe) creators chose, they will affect their revenue
Truthfully makes me mad as a hornet! Have spent $1000+ on this game, just to see them sell the packs for a fraction of the price! Yes, Sims 4 is officially dead.
It looks like a stock clearance sale, and yes, it’s the end.
Well, you have only yourself to blame. Nobody forced you to buy those packs and spend so much money on that.
You expect no devaluation over time?
is it windows only? not mac?
I checked it out and I’m really feeling the most feelings by how devalued my currency is.
Cue Nearer My God to Thee or something for her, I guess.
I don’t like Steam. Could it be in EA?
Compared to the British pound, the price for my less wealthy country is 20 pounds higher… ~290 pounds.
It’s even better in US dollars; here they’re robbing me of 85 dollars… ~388 dollars.
That’s fairness, where countries where people earn more pay less…SAD!!!
It’s supply and demand
These are not manufactured goods honey lol
Feels a bit like a slap in the face for those simmers who bought a lot of DLC so far. I guess it’s nice for newer simmers. This really feels like sims 4 is at it’s end.
Truthfully, I don’t care. It was money spent throughout the years.
Sales always existed. If you wanted a new TV and saw a good one for 50% off, would you thing “oh, what a slap for the people that bought it at full price” and actually not buy it because of that?
I just feel I will never buy any packs again. I already own almost everything.
But the real question is: can you disable the packs you don’t want?
That’s what I’m trying to find out
Yes, you can. There’s the offical and unofficial way – both very easy to do
Yep, they’re definitely trying one last time to get people back to playing. They only brought this on themselves.
Why can’t I see this on the steam app? When I Google it I can find it but on the steam app I can’t. New to steam. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
It *might* be region-locked? I just searched the North America/US store on the website version (i.e, not through the Steam App itself) and it procs. Here’s the link directly to the bundle.
im not seeing at all on STEAM and ive checked both the APP and the main page no sims 4 collection on there for me
It *might* be region-locked? I just searched the North America/US store and it procs. Here’s the link directly to the bundle.
Thanks. What I’m now trying to figure out is how to get the discount for the packs I already have. I’ve changed frim using the EA app to Steam and followed all instructions and everything is showing on Steam but the price of the bundle hasn’t reduced. Any idea how I may go about this? Thanks.
So no more expansion packs?? So is this the end of Sims? 25+ years down the drain? Please respond!!
I hope its not true, but with the direction the sims is going, who knows.
The games we already have won’t disappear, especially now that the two first ones aren’t abandonware anymore. The community will run with it, and by the way things have been going, they might do a better job than EA with that.
Look out for project x and rene, I suppose?
FYI this is pointless if you bought DLC through the EA app. If you try to add the bundle in Steam it won’t remove the DLC’s you already own. FYI, for those that are saying they can’t find it in the store you are right. I couldn’t either. You have to click on the hyperlink Steam that’s in the article. I assume the author is getting some kind of exclusive sponsorship money from advertising it with this article.
So if I own some packs on EA and buy this on steam it will discount the packs I already own? I have linked my accounts.
Yes, no more new things for my highly beloved Sims. My virtual family(s).
Kind of sad but also not really a problem. I’ll still play with them, for many years. There’s so much to do.
They can focus on the bugs now.
There’s no replacement for me. I don’t like Inzoi. At all. Of course i’ll try Paralives, but it took Sims 4 four years to fully captivate me and leave Sims 3 for good.
And the sale? Really cool for people with a smaller income. Great deal for them.
Why th would i be mad out that?
I Love my Sims, forever. And so do you.
They are too charming and adorable not to love.
It seems like the mainline sims games thrive once abandoned, anyways. The lack of updates makes it so creative and talented people can make mods/fixes without also having to worry about keeping up with those. Just my take, as someone who stopped playing ts4 for the previous three games.
Yah.
That was a reason to keep playing Sims 3 while 4 was out for four years.
I had all the packs there, and i thought Sims 4 was boring, early.
The future looks hassle-free. Add some cool script mods, which i have been avoiding.
About 8000 hours played, i’m going for at least 10000.
There’s still much to do in my ancient Legacy save.
Am I able to pick and choose which ones I want and get the heavy discount for the ones I want. I have alot of these packs. and it shows the packs at full price by themselves
