This statement comes after a wave of exits by creators from the EA Creator Network yesterday and over the past couple of weeks. As concerns grow, it is expected that more creators will follow suit and pivot content to a wider selection of games within the Life Simulation genre.

The Sims 4 Updates: What Is To Come

In the statement, The Sims Team have announced that the next Sims 4 Update will be a big one! This update will drop on November 4th for PC, Mac, and console players. Over 150 fixes will be introduced to the game, after a large focus on getting players to report issues via official channels over he last few months. Also included will be “fresh freebies”, which are expected to be content similar to the kitchen set from the February 2025 update. Only time will tell.

How many of those 150 bug fixes are the missing features of the latest pack?

18 days ago, I commented in an article of Simscommunity:

They release these quality updates with a lot of bla, bla, bla, and rinse and repeat.

Well, here we are, but now you can smell their fear because of the stance by numerous content creators. It’s still a lot of words to say basically nothing, classic corporate wording like the email sent to those creators. And yes, they express their gratitude, for your money of course with the bait of the more than 150 bug fixes, yay!.

Did you know that after releasing the Adventure Awaits EP, they edited the gameplay trailer on youtube? If you watch it now, there are 3-hour intervals, but look at this screenshot I took of the original trailer, courtesy of simmingshanon’s YT channel. What a bunch of deception and trickery, or as the father in law of Jared Kushner would say, what a bunch of crooks.

They can say their values as a team will remain the same, problem is, that kind of means squat in terms of where the money goes from their work, and whether or not they’ll have any say in changes made from above. It’s a nice sentiment, and I can’t imagine it’s easy in their position, but it’s just words. I hope it remains true, but they’ve gone back on less important, words before. I don’t envy them, I’m sure it’s difficult, but I also don’t believe they have any power here. If they did, I don’t imagine the direction EA took the pack releases and churn out rate would’ve been what it was.

They couldn’t know what will come when these homophobes have to say something… Isn’t it Sims about? You don’t know what will come, it’s destiny.
