SimGuruNinja has updated his Twitter profile with a brand new cover featuring new elements from The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack!
The screenshot features plenty of new things coming to the game including the Skull Familiar, a brand new Fireplace, other new Build Objects and oh – if you look closely you can see the Spellcaster occult Plumbob!
In a series of tweets (that you can check out here) SimGuruRomeo confirmed that The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack will be bringing a brand new Trait that you can pick in CAS as well as two new Aspirations.
The first Aspiration is tied with Alchemy and the potion-making math, while the second aspiraiton is for Spellcasters.
2 new Aspirations. 1 for the Alchemy/Potion path, and one for the Spellcasting and energy path.
The new Trait is called The Magical Bloodline, allowing your Sims to become Spellcasters as they grow up – more specifically when they become Teens and older.
Yes. There is a new trait called The Magical Bloodline. This will allow your Sim to become a Spellcaster later in life.
With the announcement of The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack SimGurus have already started actively answering some of the most burning questions regarding this pack!
We’ve made a huge collection of twitter questions and answers down below that contain new information regarding the pack. Considering that it’s a huge list we’ll be making a new post rather than updating this one as soon as new tweets surface. You can catch up on all the latest news for this pack HERE!
Spellcaster progression will be very similar to Vampires, plus some. Not only will they have Perks and Curses, but we have added an entire Spellbook where they will log the Spells and Potions they have learned.
There will be 2 new worlds. World 1 is Glimmerbrook, where you will be able to live and move your Sims in. World 2 is The Magic Realm. You are not able to officially move into this world, but there is nothing stopping you from putting a bed on the lot. ;D
In order to be a Spellcaster you must select the Life State in CAS, or ask one of the 3 Sages for The Right of Ascension. The progression for a Spellcaster is very similar to Vampires, plus some.
You can create Spellcasters straight form CAS, or ask one of the 3 Sages to perform the Right of Ascension on your Sim. Only Spellcasters can learn magic.
In order to deliver the best experience possible for Spellcaster we wanted to double down and focus. This version of Spellcasters will have more Spells and Potions than any other Sims game. In total there are 24 Spells, 15 Potions, & several curses.
Yes. You can purchase form a variety of brooms. Once a broom is in your Sims inventory you can click on it to make that your preferred method of travel. You will now be able to fly anywhere.
Controlling the power of a Spellcaster takes all of Sims strength, there is no way they would be able to harness the dark arts of a Vampire and Spellcasting at the same time. In short… No
Nope, Magic is a secret art that Spellcasters will only perform in The Magic Realm. That does not stop the player from practicing magic wherever they choose.
Kids are able to have the Magical Bloodline dwell within them, but they are still too young to fully comprehend how to use the Magical Arts. It is not until they become a Teen that they will be able to realize their full potential.
If you own Cats and Dogs you will be able to designate your pet as a Familiar! You will be able to send them out to forage magical ingredients. They also will have cool sparkles around them. =D
The Magic Realm has 1 big lot and can be edited with the bb.enablefreebuild cheat. Glimmerbrook has 5 lots and functions just like any other normal world.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you are referring to? If I am thinking of the correct thing you can purchase a familiar for your Sim. These familiars will follow you around and protect your from Death. They work similar to the Streaming Drone.
Yes! one thing we really wanted to capitalize on was the customization of your Spellcaster. You can choose from a variety of Wands, Brooms, Spells, and Familiars. You can even choose to cast without a wand if that’s your thing.
This is correct. Glimmerbrook is the normal residential world. It contains a portal to The Magic Realm. The Magic Realm has 1 lot that you can customize using the bb.enablefreebuild cheat.
The Sages have done everything they can to hide the magical arts from normal mortals. The only way to access The Magic Realm is with the Portal, a Spell, or The Glimmerstone that is given to every Spellcaster.
We have 4 styles of magic. Practical, Mischief, and Untamed. These are represented by the 3 Sages. There is also a 4th style, Alchemy, this is the art of Potion crafting. You can mix and match styles if you like, or go down a single style. The choice is yours.
We added some special nodes and code to make the 3 Sages stay in their respective areas of the house. However, if you rebuild the entire lot the worst thing that will happen is the Sages will just walk around like normal Sims. Nothing too bad.
Like I mentioned, we really wanted to dive deep into customization of your Spellcaster. We didn’t want any familiar, wand, or broom to be better than the next. If you want the normal looking stuff it should not be worse than the crazy looking stuff.
This was something I really wanted to push for. It is a bit more complicated than a single tweet. If you tune into our Live stream on September 6th I will cover this in much more detail. Just know the portal is not the only way to travel to The Magic Realm.
You need the cauldron to make Potions, however if you have a cauldron you no longer need a stove! You can cook Mac N Cheese, Chili, and Cioppino in the cauldron. =D
There are a few voidcritters that are based off of myth and legends. Bubalus is a real life creature that can be tamed by children in the hamster cage. Veild possesses the powers of the cosmic void and might have origins in The Magic Realm.
Possible solution for your tiny living Spellcaster: Use the Glimmerstone to travel to The Magic Realm from anywhere. Use those cauldrons to craft potions. Each batch of potions yields 4 bottles. Learn the Copypasto Spell and copy your potions instead of brewing them again.
Broom like bat, New hair styles no new facial hair, no new hats, no capes or cloaks. We do have quite a bit of accessories to show off your Spellcaster tho.
The Crystal Ball looking things you see in the trailer are actually the Familiars. Think of them as little PokeBalls, except way more comfortable and luxurious for your Familiar. =D
Spells do affect reputation. However, their is no notion of a Bad or Good Spellcasters. You can choose which of the 4 styles you prefer tho. Practical, Mischief, Untamed, or Alchemy. pic.twitter.com/utpjo1ogdm
A Spellcaster can have up to 3 curses. Some of them are pretty nasty. You will get them by failing feats of magic. Don’t worry there are a few ways you can dispel curses.
We wanted to lean heavily into customization of your Spellcaster. You will be able to pick and choose from a subset of open perks, or go deep down a certain style.
Spellcasters will be similar to Vampires. It will not be a Skill in the traditional Sims sense, but a full Lifestate with its own forms of progression.
It is supposed to be a hidden world only known by Spellcasters. There are 2 households living here. 1 is a couple of Spellcasters, and the other is a Family of Spellcasters with a strong magic linage. So in total 6 to start.

SimGuruRomeo has revealed that Cats and Dogs will also be able to accompany spellcasters and that they’ll get some new abilities and even visuals.
If you own Cats and Dogs you will be able to designate your pet as a Familiar! You will be able to send them out to forage magical ingredients. They also will have cool sparkles around them. =D
The Sims just unveiled its reveal trailer for The Sims 4: Realm of Magic game pack, and there is a LOT packed into this trailer. Here are some of the most exciting highlights from the trailer that we noticed!
TWO New Worlds!
realm 1
realm 13
We can’t be the only ones who noticed not one, but TWO new worlds in the trailer! The first world shown looks like a normal, forested type of world, but the second world is something out of a fairytale! It’s floating! Whoah! Judging by the trailer, it seems likely that our Sims will be able to visit this magical second location via a portal located somewhere in the non-magical world.
Magical Vendors!
realm 16
realm 18
In the magical world, we can see some vendors located inside of some of the buildings, selling all kinds of magical items, like broomsticks. A few even have crystals on display, so perhaps our Sims will have a new use for some of the existing collections as well.
Magic Duels
realm 56
realm 66
realm 60
realm 61
Two witches are seen dueling each other with their magic in the trailer. Some of the coolest examples of magic we spotted in the trailer were levitation and disappearing into thin air. Perhaps a way for witches to teleport?
Stained Glass Windows & Doors
There appears to be new stained glass windows and doors which can be seen on the building the dark witch leads the blonde Sim to in the trailer. Previously, the Get Together expansion featured some windows with stained glass accents but we have not seen full stained glass windows and doors yet in The Sims 4.
Potion Brewing
realm 33
realm 40
In addition to spells, our Sims will be able to brew potions. An example of potion brewing can be seen in the trailer. One of the potions appears to turn this Sim into a witch and bestow them with special powers.
Familiars
At one point in the trailer, a witch is seen with a fiery little phoenix companion. We are so excited that our Sims can have their own familiars and are eager to learn more about what kinds of familiars our Sims can have and what they can do.
Magical Greenhouse?
A greenhouse that looks abandoned and in disrepair is shown in the background of the trailer both during one of the dueling scenes and while the blonde Sim is taking off on a broomstick at the end of the trailer. We’re looking forward to learning more about this location and what kind of things our Sims might find inside it. New magical harvestables, perhaps?
Broomsticks
What would a magic pack be without flying broomsticks! Broomsticks can be seen in the trailer both on display at a vendor location in the magical world and being used by the blonde Sim near the end of the trailer. It looks like there are different styles of broomsticks our Sims can own.
Wands
realm 47
realm 57
Just like broomsticks, a magic pack wouldn’t feel very magical without wands. Magic wands can be seen at different points in the trailer by several witches. We can’t wait to learn more about how these important magical tools will function in the game and how our Sims can get a hold of one.

The Sims Team has released an official blog, talking more about The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack. Check it out!
Do you like magic? How about spellcasting? Competing with friends to find out who has mastered more tricks? Or, have you ever found yourself waving a magic wand, only to realize it doesn’t work the way you had hoped?
Simmer, have we got some news for you. More accurately, have we got some news for your Sims! This one has been a long time brewing, and we hope you’re entranced by The Sims™ 4: Realm of Magic*, coming to PC and Mac on September 10, 2019 and console on October 15, 2019. Read on to learn more about this otherworldly pack.
Welcome to Glimmerbrook
It’s a quiet town. Family homes. Places to hang out. A dense wooded area with a mysterious pathway. Wait, what is back there, Simmer? Where could this not-so-secret secret trail possibly lead? Well, if your Sim has any bit of adventure in their personality, they’ll want to know. And what they’ll discover is a world unlike any other in The Sims 4. First, a quick warning: Once your Sim goes through that portal door, they won’t be able to un-see this enchanted world. And they certainly won’t want to leave without learning a few spells!
Gettin’ Crafty
Speaking of spells, who better to learn magic from than the best? Once through the portal, Sims can meet wizards who just might teach them a thing or two. Plus, Sims can get experimental with a giant cauldron, collect elements to make interesting potions, and even test their skills against other aspiring spellcasters. This is gonna be good. Wicked good!
Wardrobe for Wizardry
Creating spells is great and all, but don’t forget about dressing the part. To get your Sim in the magic-making spirit, they can don cloaks, celestial dresses, accessories, and more to blend in with other spellcasters or stand out among the crowd. What will your Sim be wearing when they master the recipe for love potion or when they finish that challenging quest? The choice is yours!
The Sims 4: Realm of Magic is coming to PC and Mac on September 10, 2019 and to PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One on October 15, 2019.

The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack will cost 20USD and will be available on September 10th on PC/Mac and October 15th for Xbox One and PS4!
A few years ago, this post was created here on SimsCommunity that showed a way to enable a hidden camera feature in the game: a classic isometric camera just like the one from the original The Sims!
There is no denying that the game simply looks absolutely gorgeous with the classic camera angles. The isometric camera brings out a lot of the amazing visuals the game already has, and definitely goes very well with it’s stylized look.
Today I went out of my way to create a mod for The Sims 4 that not only allows you to toggle this classic camera in-game, but also adds a lot of new features to it, fixing some problems in the process.
If you’re interested, you can check out the new mod here. It’s currently on exclusive early access for patrons, but the public version is set to come out very soon.
The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack is being revealed in just a few hours! More precisely the pack will be shown first via the YouTube Premiere where they’ll be revealing the announcement trailer at 8AM PT / 5PM CET / 4PM BT.
To make things easier with the time zones we’ve included a countdown timer down below that’ll count to the exact time of the trailer premiere. As soon as the counter turns zero we should be expecting the trailer to come out along with pack information, assets, official blog post and more.
