With the announcement of The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack SimGurus have already started actively answering some of the most burning questions regarding this pack!
We’ve made a huge collection of twitter questions and answers down below that contain new information regarding the pack. Spellcaster progression will be very similar to Vampires, plus some. Not only will they have Perks and Curses, but we have added an entire Spellbook where they will log the Spells and Potions they have learned.

There will be 2 new worlds. World 1 is Glimmerbrook, where you will be able to live and move your Sims in. World 2 is The Magic Realm. You are not able to officially move into this world, but there is nothing stopping you from putting a bed on the lot. ;D

Glimmerbrook is equivalent to Forgotten Hollow, and The Magic Realm lot is build-able using the bb.enablefreebuild cheat.

In order to be a Spellcaster you must select the Life State in CAS, or ask one of the 3 Sages for The Right of Ascension. The progression for a Spellcaster is very similar to Vampires, plus some.

You can create Spellcasters straight form CAS, or ask one of the 3 Sages to perform the Right of Ascension on your Sim. Only Spellcasters can learn magic.

In order to deliver the best experience possible for Spellcaster we wanted to double down and focus. This version of Spellcasters will have more Spells and Potions than any other Sims game. In total there are 24 Spells, 15 Potions, & several curses.

Yes. You can purchase form a variety of brooms. Once a broom is in your Sims inventory you can click on it to make that your preferred method of travel. You will now be able to fly anywhere.

Nope, Magic is a secret art that Spellcasters will only perform in The Magic Realm. That does not stop the player from practicing magic wherever they choose.

Kids are able to have the Magical Bloodline dwell within them, but they are still too young to fully comprehend how to use the Magical Arts. It is not until they become a Teen that they will be able to realize their full potential.

If you own Cats and Dogs you will be able to designate your pet as a Familiar! You will be able to send them out to forage magical ingredients. They also will have cool sparkles around them. =D

The Magic Realm has 1 big lot and can be edited with the bb.enablefreebuild cheat. Glimmerbrook has 5 lots and functions just like any other normal world.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you are referring to? If I am thinking of the correct thing you can purchase a familiar for your Sim. These familiars will follow you around and protect your from Death. They work similar to the Streaming Drone.

Yes! one thing we really wanted to capitalize on was the customization of your Spellcaster. You can choose from a variety of Wands, Brooms, Spells, and Familiars. You can even choose to cast without a wand if that’s your thing.

This is correct. Glimmerbrook is the normal residential world. It contains a portal to The Magic Realm. The Magic Realm has 1 lot that you can customize using the bb.enablefreebuild cheat.

The Sages have done everything they can to hide the magical arts from normal mortals. The only way to access The Magic Realm is with the Portal, a Spell, or The Glimmerstone that is given to every Spellcaster.

We have 4 styles of magic. Practical, Mischief, and Untamed. These are represented by the 3 Sages. There is also a 4th style, Alchemy, this is the art of Potion crafting. You can mix and match styles if you like, or go down a single style. The choice is yours.

We added some special nodes and code to make the 3 Sages stay in their respective areas of the house. However, if you rebuild the entire lot the worst thing that will happen is the Sages will just walk around like normal Sims. Nothing too bad.

Like I mentioned, we really wanted to dive deep into customization of your Spellcaster. We didn’t want any familiar, wand, or broom to be better than the next. If you want the normal looking stuff it should not be worse than the crazy looking stuff.

You need the cauldron to make Potions, however if you have a cauldron you no longer need a stove! You can cook Mac N Cheese, Chili, and Cioppino in the cauldron. =D

Possible solution for your tiny living Spellcaster: Use the Glimmerstone to travel to The Magic Realm from anywhere. Use those cauldrons to craft potions. Each batch of potions yields 4 bottles. Learn the Copypasto Spell and copy your potions instead of brewing them again.

A Spellcaster can have up to 3 curses. Some of them are pretty nasty. You will get them by failing feats of magic. Don’t worry there are a few ways you can dispel curses.

THE SIMS became really at the service of DARK WORLD. Another story of puppets humans that works without knowing the problem of the hidden traps of the devil. it’s incredible how my favorite game became more and more connected with masons and new age. Magic, magic and strange items about initiating people and children toward magic. It’s a corrupted world those who are developing these leatest packages. Stop magic. Magic is idolatry. Stop initiating children and teens to the world of occult. Stop magic. Sims is a game of SIMULATION of life of people, not a school of magic! Read what Father Gabriele Amorth (exorcist priest) says about the idolatry of magic and about the ‘innocent’ false movies about magic (harry potter) and now also sims game. Stop MAGIC. Worship things that comes from devil isnt good. Stop to use magic in games to lead children toward idolatry.

This is just a “game” buddy, don’t need to be so angry about it.. Is it wrong to love fanatic magical things more than boring real world stuff? The game is just for fun. And magic is fun for me! Plus, Harry Potter has always been my favorite movie so far! So i think that this will be my favorite game pack (after Vampires) Therefore, I hope they continue to use MAGIC, and create a werewolf and fairies game pack too.

I’d just like to point out that The Sims isn’t a children’s game. Sims can “Woohoo”, fight, and do all sorts of things. The game is literally rated T for Teen. If you’re concerned about children, be concerned that you think children should play this game. Stop bashing on the game as well. It’s a game. The packs are to add to the fun. The game isn’t teaching evil rituals or spells, it’s just showing little people use it for entertainment purposes.
cristiana, if you believe flying brooms are part of real magic, you have been seriously misled. Maybe you better stop telling your kids pleasant fairy tales like Cinderella, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, Sleeping Beauty, the Little Mermaid, and more….since apparently you would rather give them nightmares by telling them different fairy tales…like the one about Hell, and how a loving God shows his love by sending bad people there. (Hint: we’re ALL bad.) Except, possibly for the ones who were horrible criminals and even sex offenders all their life but repented on their deathbed.
