The precise details of this Patch are expected to be revealed with the patch drop, but you should expect fixes for pregnancy tests as stated in the message.
The team also clarified that they’re working on tuning settings for the ailments feature in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack. With more information to follow soon.
Sims 4 Fix Update Announcement
Tomorrow, a patch for The Sims 4 will be released, reverting the changes made to pregnancy to resolve the issues reported after the July 1st update. Thank you for your patience and for reporting to the EA Forums.
We are also investigating the reports & tuning settings for ailments. In the meantime, you can reduce the frequency of ailments via the “Enable Balance & Imbalance” toggle in the “Game Options” and “Pack Settings” section of The Sims 4.
Have you been holding back from updating and playing with The Sims 4? Let’s wait and see if the Patch is stabile enough to bring some improvements!

Fables in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature
Warning: As this is a guide, there are spoilers aplenty below. If you wish to discover things on your own involving the Fables in The Sims 4, do not continue reading. If you’re like me and you hate surprises, read on down.
Where to Start
Before you can begin on the journey of Fables in The Sims 4, you’ll need to know who to speak with. This can be accomplished easily by finding one of the Fable Boards. One board is located in each of the neighborhoods of Innisgreen.
Sprucederry GroveEverdewCoast of Adhmor
Have your Sim interact with the Fable Board, and a screen will appear showing you which NPC you need to find to be given Fables in The Sims 4. It’s possible for these Sims to age and die, so they may change throughout your playthrough. Keep an eye on this board for any possible changes on who grants Fables in The Sims 4.
Once you know who the Fabulists are, it’s time to find them to receive a Fable in The Sims 4.
Fabulists Locations
Aside from one, the Fabulists are quite easy to locate without any help. As the Sims can change, I will be using their title, not their names, in this guide. Some Fabulists give a single Fable, some give two. In total, there are ten Fables in The Sims 4.
Everdew
Mystical Fairy – The Mystical Fairy is located next to the Fable Board in this neighborhood. If they are not currently there, spend some time doing other things and come back a bit later.
Fairy Council Liaison – The Fairy Council Liaison can be found outside the Mossveil Fairy Hub. Like above, if they’re not currently there, give it some time; they may be off sleeping.
Sprucederry Grove
Apothecary Vendor – As expected by the name, you can find this sim tending the apothecary stall from 8 am – 7 pm every day.
Tradesperson – As with the Mystical Fairy, the Tradesperson can be found beside the Fable Board of this neighborhood and the Fable Board in the Coast of Adhmor.
Garden Pal – The only slightly tricky Fabulist to find. You will need to locate the Glaswood tree and summon the Garden Pal before he appears in the world. Keep in mind that he only sticks around for a few hours before disappearing again.
Coast of Adhmor
Gnome Enthusiast – Look for the giant gnome in the center of town. Beside it sits Gnum Gnum’s gnome-centric vendor stall. This is where you’ll find the Gnome Enthusiast from 8 am – 7 pm.
Tradesperson – The Tradesperson hangs around the Fable Board in this neighborhood as well as the Fable Board in Sprucederry Grove.
Request a Fable
So you’ve located one of the Fabulists. Now what? Why, request a Fable, of course. This social interaction can be found under Friendly < Stories < Acquire a Fable. Each Fabulist has one or two Fables that are all unique to them, so you’ll need to find all of them. Some have Fables that are locked until you complete a different Fable.
You’ll be able to take on a maximum of three Fables at once, so if you’re struggling to complete them, you may need to cancel a Fable before you can start another.

Against All Odds
Fabulist: Tradesperson
A freezer so sunny, this cute Social Bunny, was bouncing along in the grass. She took a big hop before needing to stop and peer at a tiny young lass. This chicken was caught, in a moment of thought, watching Sims try out some composting. “I’ll bet you a grand, if you can withstand, competitive social trash-posting.” The chick said “For sure!”, they knew they’d endure, for their beak was good with collision. But to prevent damage, the chicken must manage a slow ‘n steady disposition…
Tradesperson
Tasks:
Collect Lightning Root Leaves – 0/1
Sleep on the Ground
Talk About Nature – 0/3
Walkthrough:
There are a few ways to acquire the necessary Lightning Root Leaves. The easiest and fastest way is to find the Wild Lightning Root plant in the Everdew neighborhood. It is located right in front of the Puckitt Hall residence. You can also check the Apothecary Vendor every day to see if he has one for sale, or buy a seed at the gardening store in the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood and grow your own.
Sleeping on the ground can be done anywhere thanks to the Natural Living skill. You’ll need to let the action run its course, though, because whenever I cancelled the action early, it did not count it as complete.
You can talk to any Sims about nature, but it needs to be three different Sims. The talk about nature social action can be found under Friendly < Small Talk < Talk About Nature.
Once you complete all three tasks, the Fable will autocomplete. You’ll receive the rewards, as well as being afflicted by the Emotional Void ailment.

The bunny was faster, a social post master, and chickie was taking her time. But like a true flake, bunny needed a break, leaving chicken alone in her prime. Not long and with luck, the chicken had snuck, past the bunny’s number of submissions. And with her small speed, the posts to her feed, had won her the contest’s conditions. The bunny was stunned that the chicken out-punned an expert like her in this race. But the chicken was proud, and stated aloud, “Well, isn’t the egg on your face”!

Be Kind, Unwind
Fabulist: Apothecary Vendor
A couple alone, sits off in the grass, deep in thought, not a care in the world. They won’t need a shelter, or toilet, or bath, they sleep on the ground unfurled. This natural lifestyle is one that they’ve earned, building strength to survive on the knoll. But hey, have you heard? Of the old urban legend? The one where the worms take control…
Apothecary Vendor
Tasks:
Craft Enhanced Eyes Elixir
Use Enhanced Eyes Elixir
Forage
Deliver Foraged Apothecary Ingredient
Walkthrough:
Crafting an Enhanced Eyes Elixir requires Apothecary Skill Level 3. To create it you will need 1 Basil, 2 Lemon, and 1 Acorn. Basil and lemons can be grown or harvested in the world. Acorns can be foraged or bought from the Apothecary Vendor. You can also check the Apothecary Vendor’s stock to see if he has the elixir for sale.
Once you use the elixir, you’ll need to forage once and then deliver that item to the vendor. Once delivered, you’ll complete the Fable and earn your rewards.
Fable Conclusion:

This natural lifestyle is one that they’ve earned, building strength to survive on the knoll. But hey, have you heard? Of the old urban legend? The one where the worms take control!
See foraging, sleeping, a pong bath or two – could be any entry to danger. You start out all normal, but after some time, your system is filled with this stranger! Once stuffed to the brim with these wiggly friends, a Sim will start to transform. Their body composed, both inside and out, of worms will be their new norm. And should this occur, it’s best to be kind, reassure, compliment, and affirm. The most vital answer will be to the question “Do you still love me as a worm?”

Deliver the News
Fabulist: Tradesperson
There was once a man, built in physique, who relished a good love affair. He’d sprinkle his charm wherever he went, and many girls flocked to his care. But a woman in red did not fall for his tricks, and left the poor fella on read. So for this rejection, to his feigned affection, a plot he concocted was bred…
Tradesperson
Task:
Deliver Item – 0/1
Walkthrough:
Of all the Fables in The Sims 4, this is by far the easiest. All you need to do is deliver an item to the Mossveil Fairy Hub in Everdew. The best part is, you don’t even need to find or make the item, it’s just given to you. My first time doing this Fable I had to deliver an acorn. The second time I had to deliver a grilled cheese.
Once you arrive at Everdew, the Mossveil Fairy Hub is the big, odd-shaped building in the center of town. Click on it and select the option of “Deliver Tradeperson’s Item.” After delivery, you’ll receive your reward as well as the Creation Impulse Ailment.
Fable Conclusion:

But a woman in red did not fall for his tricks, and left the poor fella on read. So from this rejection, to his feigned affection, a plot he concocted was bred.
Soon the invite was sent, at a view quite pleasant, and the front door rang with a Bell. He put on a smile, the one to beguile, his flattery spread like a spell. She sure was distracted, by how he had acted, you’d think he’d gotten the hint. But that’s all we know, for that “innocent” bro had stated she’d gone in a glint. And no one could guess that this gothy mistress would go missing, like a rare gem. Was she abducted? An act she conducted? No Lothario had dawned on them.

Ly Waiting
Fabulist: Apothecary Vendor
Upon a full moon, at a Werewolf’s high noon, emotions were stirring down under. A boy had just met a creature to pet, but a greeting with Greg he did blunder. He went screaming away, telling neighbors that stray had pierced the boy’s skin with its teeth. But no marks were seen, the boy’s skin was clean, and the story was swept underneath. Again and again, that sweet charlatan would spin tale after tale about Greg. Now just wait and see, for his ultimate plea, was that Greg had consumed his whole leg…
Apothecary Vendor
*To unlock this Fable you will need to first complete the Be Kind, Unwind Fable.
Tasks:
Bottle Emotion – 0/3
Consume Item
Walkthrough:
There are several ways you can bottle emotions. You can bottle emotions at the Moondrop Springs in Everdew once every 12 hours. Fairies can level up their skills to bottle up their own emotions or those of others. Once the Mood Shrub has blossomed, you can bottle emotion from it. A more difficult way is by crafting an Emotion Stone at the Apothecary Station, but you need Apothecary Skill level 6 to do so.
Fable Conclusion:

Of course you can see that below the boy’s knee, was his leg which was perfectly fine. And the neighbors of Mill were no longer so chill with the boy’s constant need to malign. Then there’s Greg who’s fed up, with this pestering pup, who had bothered him all day and night. So when the boy came, there was no more shame, Greg decided to go for a bite. The boy sure did yelp, and he sprinted for help, but nobody came to the scene. I guess you could say, the boy got his way, ’cause now he had proof Greg was mean.

Not Mushroom For Error
Fabulist: Garden Pal
There once was a spirit, grown from soil and love, who spent their days tending a garden. The garden belonged to a mother of nature, who watched over creatures she’d pardon. Now, the spirit’s first error was insecure terror, and their purpose felt more like a chore. So attempting great power, their beloved flower, they let envy spread like a spore…
Garden Pal
Tasks:
Solve Blue Mushroom’s Riddle
Solve Red Mushroom’s Riddle
Solve Green Mushroom’s Riddle
Solve Yellow Mushroom’s Riddle
Walkthrough:
The blue mushroom is located right next to the Glaswood tree. When you click on it to solve the riddle, it reads:
Blue Mushroom’s Riddle Enchanted not, a natural glow. In day I sleep, at night I show. An eerie hue of ghostly play, Instead of fright, I light the way!
What am I?
The correct answer is Bioluminescent Mushroom, which requires Lightning Root Leaves. Read the Against All Odds guide above to see how to obtain them.
The red mushroom is located across the sidewalk from the Glaswood Tree. Same as before, click Solve Riddle.
Red Mushroom’s Riddle I’m often red, with spots about. I’m seen in film to gain some clout! I’m a fungi, I swear it’s true, But if you touch, Grim collects you!
What am I?
The correct choice is Amanita Muscaria, possibly the most “mushroom” mushroom there is in the world.
The green mushroom is located just a few steps beyond the red.
Green Mushroom’s Riddle A Laurent chef’s awarded dish. A forager’s ultimate wish. Rich but not rare, the Landgraabs eat, but to the rags, a chocolate sweet.
What am I?
The correct answer is a truffle, so your sim will need to have at least five thousand simoleons on hand. Sorry poor!
The yellow mushroom is back across the pathway by the Glaswood Tree, straight across from the red mushroom.
Yellow Mushroom’s Riddle Come dance about, it’s time to play. Good luck or bad, we’re here to stay. A portal to a fairy land? Or toadstool spores’ outward expand?
What am I?
The correct answer for this one is A Fairy Ring, so you need to either become a fairy or have discovered anything about Innisgreen that is logged in your notebook. If you’ve been following this guide, you’ll have plenty of notebook entries by this point.
Once you complete all four mushroom riddles, the Fable will be complete and you’ll earn your rewards.
Fable Conclusion:
There once was a spirit, grown from soil and love, who spent their days tending a garden. The garden belonged to a mother of nature, who watched over creatures she’d pardon. Now, the spirit’s first error was insecure terror, and their purpose felt more like a chore. So attempting great power, their beloved flower, they let envy spread like a spore.
The spirit pursued sprouts of imitation, but never accomplished pure life. They could not achieve the maiden’s prestige, their projects just ended in strife. Lost in the sauce, the power they sought, was one that could not be discerned. And a fellow once mellow, went full green from yellow, regarding the lover they spurned.
Soon one day enraged by modernity’s claim, their Gnomes came straight to defend. They descend upon the village town’s lawn, seeking justice for their dear friend. A war did break out, and at first it was thought that greenery could be preserved. But this battle they fought, would soon be found fraught, as failure was what they deserved. And so from betrayal, the maiden did leave. The spirit now all on their own. But with their good deeds the spirit believes her heart will be theirs once they’ve grown.

My Sleeping Giant
Fabulist: Gnome Enthusiast
There once stood a Gnome, taller than a throne, who lost what was once so dear. Away to his garden, the walls he did harden, secluded alone and in fear. The children came quick, for the Gnome they had kicked had locked himself far from their feet. But due to the walls, his plants he enthralled, had withered and died from no heat. So could such a Sim, hear a simple man’s whim, to waken the beast from within? I’ll send you along, you won’t need a song. Just simply show them compassion…
Gnome Enthusiast
Tasks:
Obtain Fairy Dust – 0/1
Wake the Great Gnome Statue
Soothe the Great Gnome
Walkthrough:
Quite a few ways exist to obtain fairy dust. If your sim is a fairy, they can either brush it off of themselves or go to the Mossveil Fairy Hub for rations. Non-fairy sims can ask a fairy sim for some or collect it from a fairy house. Fairy dust can also be found while foraging in Innisgreen.
Once you’ve obtained the fairy dust, you’ll need to find the giant gnome in the center of the Coast of Adhmor. It’s right beside where you got the Fable from the Gnome Enthusiast. You can’t miss it. Once you click on the gnome to wake him, you’ll need to click on him again and choose to soothe him.
Once you finish these tasks, the Fable is completed, and you’ll earn the rewards.
Fable Conclusion:

Huzzah, He awakes! What magic he makes! Enchanted and lively, our savior! And should you come yell, he might cast a spell, to reward you if you’re in his favor. His heart you did free, and the Gnomes cheer with glee! You’ve awakened what once was asleep. Now off you go, you have much more to know, the lore of this tale runs so deep.

Plants Lie Here
Fabulist: Mystical Fairy
Two gardens sat fine, across the yard line, of two neighbors who varied in skill. One garden grew tall, with crops ready for fall, and the other was withered and ill. Now that neighbor in need, did not care to weed, and put all the blame on the other. And the cause of their doubt, to the garden’s clear drought, were pixies that came in to smother…
Mystical Fairy
*To unlock this Fable, you need to first complete the Rise and Shine Fable from the Gnome Enthusiast.
Tasks:
Craft a Gnome
Deliver Item
Walkthrough:
This Fable is simple enough to complete. You’ll need to use a woodworking bench to craft a gnome. Any will do, so take your pick. Once you finish crafting it, deliver it to the Mystical Fairy to complete the Fable and earn your rewards.
The deliver interaction can sometimes be difficult to find. It’s under Friendly > Stories > Deliver Item.

Now that neighbor in need, did not care to weed, and put all the blame on the other. And the cause of their doubt, to the garden’s clear drought, were pixies that came in to smother.
They must have been drawn, towards the neighboring lawn, after soaking up all of the dust. But pixies were present at this garden so pleasant, so the neighbor’s big lie was a bust. Yet still they denied that their garden had died from their fatal lack of care. All of their hard work was something to shirk, and come winter their pantry was bare.

Rise and Shine
Fabulist: Gnome Enthusiast
Down by a Creek, alongside a road, sat a house like a true short stack. The man who resides, was searching for guides, to fixing his marriage which was wack. So during the day, he decided to stay and clean up the house–make it shine! But after an hour, he took a long shower, and stated the mess should be fine. Then deep in the night, from sparkle or might, the house was made all neat and clean. And when they awoke, that syrupy bloke took credit for scrubbing the scene…
Gnome Enthusiast
Tasks:
Ask Sims about Their Fairy Beliefs – 0/8
Find the Fairy Ring
Claim a Fairy Belief
Walkthrough:
You’ll need to talk to eight different Sims to find out what type of fairies they believe in. This social is found under Friendly < Interests < What Fairies Do You Believe In. Each Sim will tell you a different type of fairy that they believe in, and you’ll unlock a notebook entry for each one. The Sims you ask must currently be in Innisgreen, and they can’t be occult Sims.
Fairy Belief
Lore
Bereginy
They live in the liminal zones, where water meets land, and conduct their business in secret.
Dryads
They’re forest fairies who protect the woodlands and only reveal themselves when angered. Luckily you can appease them with offerings…wait, who does that sound like?
Fair Family
At only three feet tall they can slip through secret passageways in nature. If you’re worried about the crimbils, iron can protect you. Or so I’m told.
Moss Maidens
Diligent weavers of moss who understand the healing properties of plants.
Peris
Ancient winged beings of beauty that only survive off of perfume. How glamorous!
Seelie
The light and the dark. The Seelie were once known to reward helpful Sims, but like all fairies they can be unpredictable.
Sidhe
They’re such royalty, living in castles out of sight, hosting lavish feasts and celebrations. The lack of belief is what makes them so small, but they don’t seem to mind. Be careful if you hear one wailing though, ok?
Yumboes
Two feet tall with silvan hair, they come out to dance in the moonlight. An invite to one of their magnificent feasts would be a milestone for sure!
After finding out eight different Sims’ fairy beliefs, you’ll be tasked with finding the Fairy Ring. This is located in the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood. It’s on a slight hill right outside Gringle’s bar. You’ll need to click the “Hmmm?” option once, and then your next task will appear.
Clicking on the Fairy Ring again will give you the option to claim a fairy belief. You will then get to select one of the eight options that you learned from the other Sims. Your choice will change the outcome, with each option giving you something different.
Fear not, however, you won’t miss out on anything. After some time has passed, you can return to the Fairy Ring and choose to believe in something else for the other rewards.

Then deep in the night, from sparkle or might, the house was made all neat and clean. And when they awoke, that syrupy bloke took credit for scrubbing the scene.
This went on for days, he got so much praise, their marriage had started to mend. But cake-man was skeptic, this ruse felt so hectic, he needed the mystery to end. He snuck down at nightfall, to see faeries so small, zapping his kitchen pristine. So he left them a snack, grilled cheese for the hack, for buttering up his dear queen.

Stubborn Misfortune
Fabulist: Fairy Council Liaison
A family who owned everything in the world had not finished grabbing their share. And these Sims you should know, up in their chateau, had money to spend without care. Now, Geoffrey thought schools, but dear Nancy thought pools, should become their next big endeavor. But they both had such pride and could not decide one just whose idea was more clever…
Fairy Council Liaison
Tasks:
Ask Fairy For Item
Deliver Item
Walkthrough:
This is another of the easy Fables in The Sims 4.
You’ll be tasked with asking a fairy for an item, which varies each time. For instance, my sim was asked to get a Freezer Bunny Foot from a fairy. When you ask a fairy for the item, they will charge you fifty simoleons for it. After you deliver the item to the Fairy Council Liaison, you’ll complete the Fable and earn the reward.
Fable Conclusion:
A family who owned everything in the world had not finished grabbing their share. And these Sims you should know, up in their chateau, had money to spend without care. Now, Geoffrey thought schools, but dear Nancy thought pools, should become their next big endeavor. But they both had such pride and could not decide one just whose idea was more clever.
And so Geoffrey got sneaky, and Nancy got cheeky, their plans they both secretly smother. A password reset for the bank account’s net was surely to foil the other. But they could not expect the login to get wrecked, and now neither could get any money. So instead of rapport, they’re seemingly poor, and nobody won–which is funny.

The Ground’s Jewel
Fabulist: Fairy Council Liaison
Through mist or through rock, found deep in a cove, a land lived alone and in secret. And any reward that could be discovered, the Sim was allowed to just keep it. Now this place was made for all of life’s creatures, but nobody knew its true worth. Except Mother Nature, and her nomenclature, which states “it’s deep in the earth”. So go my dear friend, figure out what she means, and catch your reward if you dare. You can teleport, the travel is short, then find out what’s hidden in there…
Fairy Council Liaison
*To unlock this Fable, you must first complete the Stubborn Misfortune Fable.
Tasks:
Teleport To Sylvan Glade
Catch a Treefish
Walkthrough:
You unlocked a Starseed Teleporter from completing the last Fable for the Fairy Council Liaison, but there’s also one in the Everdew neighborhood you can use. You’ll need fairy dust to use it, so ask a fairy for some if needed.
Once you use the teleporter to Sylvan Glade, you’ll need to catch a Treefish. You’ll need to fish in the pond (remember when these were the only type of pond in the game?) until you randomly catch one. They’re rare, so it might take a while. Once you do catch one, the Fable is complete and you’ll earn your rewards.
Fable Conclusion:

A beautiful scene, fairies flutter and flee, but nothing seems like a big deal. I’m sure if you knew, you’d get Mother’s clue, and maybe that thing would be real. So it’s probably better to not know it was dirt – the thing you were trying to cash. To Mother it’s treasure, it brings her great pleasure, though most Sims would deem it was trash.

The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature: Houseplants, Gardening, and More!
Has your Sim been itching for other ways to show off their green thumb? The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature adds an all-new element for foliage fanatics: Houseplants and a plethora of new Gardening elements.
Table of Contents
About The Sims 4 Houseplants
Grab your planter pots and Pothos cuttings, because Houseplants have arrived in The Sims 4! Our Sims can now interact with more than just a Bonsai Tree with the addition of the Boston Fern Live Houseplant, Monstera Live Houseplant, Pothos Live Houseplant, Succulent Live Houseplant, and the Ficus Live Houseplant. These can each be purchased in Buy Mode for 240 Simoleons without a pot, or can be purchased pre-potted for an extra cost.
Sims 4 Houseplants have to be placed in specific containers called Plant Pots. These can also be purchased in Buy Mode or crafted using the Pottery Skill. Once in a pot, houseplants can be added to the world anywhere by placing them on any surface that other decor can be placed on.
Two Helpful Personality Traits
Sims who have caught the gardening bug will find it easier to level up with the Mystical and Plant Lover personality traits. Mystical Sims learn the Gardening Skill quicker, while Plant Lover Sims can emotionally interact with their plants. Plant Lovers can use the Compliment Plant on Photosynthesis Skills, Tell Plant They’re Your Favorite, Name, and Scold Plant interactions on plants and houseplants.
These Sims will experience negative Moodlets when harvesting a plant or after going too long without interacting with a plant. Plant Lover Sims can also use the Give Unsolicited Plant Care Advice and Enthuse about Plants vs. Occults social interactions, and will autonomously maintain plants around their home lot.
Show Your Garden Some Love With These New Interactions
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack gives Gardening an overhaul with new interactions for Normies and Fairies, like the Talk to Nature interaction for Sims with the Natural Living Skill.
Normies and Occult-Sims alike can more efficiently tend to their gardens with the Evolve All and Fertilize All interactions. These interactions work similarly to the pre-existing Harvest All and Water All interactions, so your Sim will no longer have to search each individual plant to see which one is ready for attention.
Fairy Sims can unlock different interactions as they progress through their Skill Tree. The Bloom Plant self-interaction blooms all nearby plants, letting your Sim Harvest plants at a quicker rate. Fairy Sims can also use the Nurture Nature interaction to magically tend to the plant’s watering and fertilizing needs, and Enchant and Re-Enchant plants.
Sims with enough Fairy Dust in their inventory can also use the Enchant and Enchant All Plants Nearby interactions on both plants and houseplants. Enchanted plants won’t need any watering or maintenance until it’s time to re-enchant them. Make sure you keep an eye on these plants, though. Plants that are enchanted with the magic of Fairy Dust tend to attract Pixies.
Pesty Pixies and Mischievous Gnomes
Pixies will appear and float around your Enchanted plants, preventing your Sim from interacting with the plant until they’ve dealt with the Pixies. Fairy Sims are one with the magical world and can use the Gently Shoo Away Pixies interaction to ask them to leave kindly. Normie Sims, on the other hand, can do this by using the Chase Away Pixies interaction, which can lead to some angry Pixies.
Gnomes can be enchanted with Fairy Dust to take on the Gardening Role. Gnomes will teleport around your lot to your Live plants to tend to and enchant them. They will also leave seed packets behind, helping you grow your garden without breaking the bank. These helpful buddies also give off a magical aura that causes plants to quickly rise in quality, letting your Sim evolve them several times.
Magical New Plants
Along with houseplants and other changes, this Expansion Pack adds three new plants: The Aura Blossom, Lightning Root, and Moody Shrub plants. The Aura Blossom Plant is a new plant that can be used to influence Sims’ Balance and Luck, and craft recipes on an Apothecary Table. Once your Sim has enough Fairy Dust, they can use the Change Aura interaction to change the active aura to one of the available auras.

The Sims 4 Houseplants in Enchanted by Nature, Aura Blossom Auras
The electrifying new Lightning Root Plant channels the force of nature, and Sims plant this on their home lot to use the Connect to Power Grid interaction, which will save them a little Simoleons on their electricity bill. These can also be harvested for Lightning Root Leaves and used for different Elixir recipes.
The Moody Shrub Plant projects emotions onto nearby Sims. Just hover over the plant to learn its current Mood. Your Sim can use the Collect Bottled Emotion interaction to bottle up the current emotion and create an Emotion Potion, or use the Change Shrub’s Mood interaction to influence the plant’s current Mood with an Emotion Potion from your Sim’s inventory.
The Updated Plant Information Panel
Up until this new pack release, the information panel for each plant simply displayed the plant’s name, a short description, a quality level bar, and the correct season for the plant. We had to click on each plant to see if it needed water or any other care, click on each plant to evolve them, and other time-consuming tasks. Well, now we can stop wasting time and start tending to plants with a handful of new information panel changes!
The new-and-improved information panels display everything that was previously included, plus the addition of the Water and Fertilizer statuses. You can also see if a plant is Sheltered from the elements. Just hover over any Live plant to check the plant’s status and get to work.
While houseplants don’t have the fancy detailed information panel, you can still view the plant’s general Health Status by hovering over it.

Learn How To Master Your Fairy Skills With The Sims 4 Fairies Guide!
Occult Progression in The Sims 4 varies quite a bit between packs and specific occults. While mermaids and aliens have simplified and hidden progression, or no progression at all, Vampires, Werewolves, Spellcasters, and now Fairies have a skill tree or other form of skill progression systems. With these mechanics, your occult sims can become powerful as their life progresses and they use their abilities, allowing for further customization but also more variety in gameplay. This Sims 4 Fairies guide will assist with the ins and outs of levelling up your fairy, their abilities, and everything in between.
The Sims 4 Fairies Guide
Table of Contents
How To Gain Experience
There are tons of ways to gain experience points, both to boost your fairy’s rank and to unlock more abilities and customization. Even once your sim maxes out their ranking to the Radiant rank, performing fairy actions and abilities can still produce experience points, allowing for ultra-powerful fairies with just about every skill and ability you can think of!
Abilities & Actions
All fairy actions and abilities, from interactions with plants, self-casts, and spells or abilities used on other Sims, will raise your fairy’s experience and progress them towards the next rank or produce more experience points. These can include Influence Sentiment, Turning Sims into Fairies, AgeingSims, and many more abilities!
Fairy Dust
Fairy Dust is an object produced both passively and intentionally by fairies. They can brush it off their bodies, shake it out of fairy houses, but it also just shows up whenever a fairy is nearby. Both fairies and non-fairy sims can collect and use fairy dust. Common uses include using it to Enchant or Bloom plants, as well as bring Gnomes to life!
Fairy dust appears in-game as a small pile on the ground, multicoloured with a soft sparkle. It can be hard to spot at times, so make sure to keep an eye out!
Emotions
Emotions play a huge role in Sims 4 fairies gameplay as it appears as a main source of energy for fairies, many of their abilities are ways to produce or gain emotional force, and it is their source of life and the magic allowing them to use their abilities. Also, if your sim runs out of emotional force, they can die!
Abilities such as Bottle Emotions, Influence Emotions, and Absorb Emotions are used to raise your fairy’s emotional force need. It can also be refilled by sleep, depending on your customization choices, and by recharging it in a fairy house.
Ranks
As they use their abilities and learn more about their powers, your fairies will progress through five rankings, from Faint to Radiant, unlocking more tiers of powers and customization.
Rank 1 – Faint (Becoming A Fairy)
Rank 2 – Glowing
Rank 3 – Glimmering
Rank 4 – Brilliant
Rank 5 – Radiant

Moodlets, Also Known As Buffs
Moodlets are an essential part of The Sims 4. They are often quirky, but also are important to tell you what is going on in your Sim’s life.
To add buffs, you need to first put these phrases into the console and then the cheat phrase after it.
To add Buffs: sims.add_buff To remove Buffs: sims.remove_buff
For example, sims.add_buffbuff_Ailments_MainBuff_BurningPassion
These might have prerequisites to work, such as being part of the Cheer Team to have a buff about the cheer team.
Ailments: Incubation

The Sims 4 Voice Change – You Might’ve Noticed Your Sims Sounding A Little Different…
With the July 1st update, some players noticed that Sims with the ‘Melodic’ voice type were sounding a little different when speaking certain phrases. Over on Twitter, user OnlyAbiDoang posted about this occurrence on July 11th, with Liberty Lee switching between what seemed like different voices. You can check out the video below!
Apparently, the July 1st update mysteriously replaced some voice lines from the 'Melodic' Sim voice with those from a new voice actor. Since only some lines were replaced, Sims with the voice now sound inconsistent at times. Are they going to slowly replace this voice? 🤔 https://t.co/vTAZ1AO3sSpic.twitter.com/4FebwJr2UL
Previously, on Monday 7th July, a user by the name of XDomina reported this on the EA Forums. Community Manager of The Sims Forums, EA_Cade, responded to XDomina with an explanation for this happening.
The original voice actor for the Melodic voice type has left the cast, EA_Cade says. This could mean that over time, new voice lines will be either dubbed over or continue switching between actors.
Voice Differences – Old vs New
Again, thanks to OnlyAbiDoang, we can have a direct comparison between the two voice actors. The original actress had voiced lines up until the release of Enchanted by Nature. Check it out below!
What are your thoughts on the new voice lines? Let us know in the comments below, and make sure to stay tuned to Sims Community for all the latest news on The Sims Franchise.
The Sims 4 Balance & Imbalance – All About The Latest Gameplay Feature
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion pack introduces two exciting new features that shape the way your Sims live in surprising ways: Balance & Imbalance, and Luck! Whether your Sim is a goody two-shoes or a menace to society, these new systems add new depth to gameplay. Here’s how they work, and how you can use them to your advantage!
Table of Contents
What Is Balance & Imbalance?
Balance & Imbalance expresses how a Sim’s mood affects them over time, beyond the moment-to-moment. Negative moods will result in a shift towards imbalance, whereas positive moods will move it back towards being balanced. A Sim’s Balance and Imbalance can have a major impact on their need decay, as well as their Luck.
Balanced
Being balanced is the typical state for a Sim. Keeping your Sim in a positive mood is imperative for them to remain Balanced in life. If your Sim is persistently in a negative mood (low needs) or experiencing negative emotions (sad, angry, embarrassed), they will slip into Imbalance.
There are several ways to keep your Sim balanced:
Visit a Naturopath (Available under the Home tab on the Phone)
Imbalance is the result of Sims whose needs need more attention and care. They may need to eat more frequently or care for their hygiene more often. All needs (including occult exclusive needs) will drain 25% faster than a balanced Sim. They will also experience slower skill building at 15% slower.
Very Imbalanced
A Very Imbalanced Sim is the result of direct neglect or unfortunate luck in life. Situations such as deaths in the family or losing a job can tip Sims into Imbalance instantly. Sims who are Very Imbalanced are more likely to contract ailments, these can be cured via the Apotercary skill, visiting a Naturopath, or becoming balanced again.
What Is Luck?
The luck system introduced with Enchanted by Nature impacts everything from skill gain and social scores to career progression and meal quality. A Sim’s luck can be viewed in the (now very cluttered) Simology panel. Your current luck will be represented by either a four-leaf clover (Good Luck), a green three-leaf clover (Ordinary), or a wilting desaturated clover (Bad Luck). A Sims’ Luck will refresh at 2 am every day, they can really get out of the wrong side of bed!
The Three Levels of Luck
Check out our handy table below on how luck affects your Sims!
Icon
Affects
Good Luck
Collections – Everything collectable by your Sims has a higher chance of being less common/rare, or more abundant. Affects fishing, frogs, fossils, archaeology, feathers, tassels, and more!
Skill Gain – All skills are gained 10% faster.
Crafting Quality – All food recipes have a greater chance of being a higher quality. Craftable items on the woodworking bench, nectar press, object fabricator, etc, have a higher chance of being high-quality.
Crafting Quality – All food recipes have a greater chance of being of higher quality. Craftable items on the woodworking bench, nectar press, object fabricator, etc, have a higher chance of being high-quality.
Foraging – Sims living off the land will have a greater chance at finding items in greater quantities or rarer quality.
Careers – Sims are more likely to receive a promotion early.
Ordinary Luck
Ordinary Luck has no impact on any actions or outcomes in a Sim’s life. This is the state that your Sims will find themselves in most of the time.
Bad Luck
Skill Gain – All skill is gained at 10% less than the normal rate.
Careers – There is no higher chance of being demoted or fired by Bad Luck.
Crafting Quality – All items crafted by your Sim will have 30 points in quality removed.
Social – 20 social points are removed from the benefit of positive social interactions
Lottery – Sims with Bad Luck are less likely to win the lottery.
Foraging – Foraging is more likely to lead to common items found, or none.
Sims don’t need to wallow in self-pity once they’ve had bad luck befall them. There are a number of ways for your Sim to improve their overall luck!
Spruce Almighty in Sprucederry Grove can help your Sims improve their luck once per day.
The Great Gnome statue can be appealed to on the Coast of Adhmor.
Foraging, crafting Elixirs at the Apothecary table, or purchasing a Freezer Bunny foot can all improve luck.
How to Worsen Luck.
A Sim’s luck, much like Balance, is always in flux. Every day at 2 am, a Sim’s luck will refresh. If you want your Sims to experience bad luck, you can do the following:
Make your Sim Imbalanced or Very Imbalanced
Purchasing, finding, or crafting a Cowplant Horn will result in worse luck.

Making Prints and Candles
To make Prints or Candles you must first purchase the Nature Press from the Build-Buy Catalogue. You can place the Nature Press either on the floor or at a table/desk and get to work!
Once placed the Nature Press has a number of options. Before crafting you will need some ingredients, and luckily you can purchase them straight from the Nature Press by clicking ‘Purchase Ingredients…’.
You can also put the Nature Press in your inventory incase you want to take your hobby to the park, the wilderness, to work, or on vacation to Granite Falls.
With the Life & Death Expansion Pack installed the object, like many others, is heirloom eligable.
Once you have the required ingredients, your Sim is ready to begin their new hobby of making pressings of their findings. The new Natural Living skill and foraging can be especially useful as you can forage for ingredients.
Enchanted prints and candles can be created by the addition of 1 pile of Fairy Dust. Enchanted items can emit emotional auras, and can sway a Sims mood when viewed. Non-Fairy Sims can create enchanted items, however only Fairies will reap the reward; a boost in their Fairy experienece level! When sold, enchanted items created with the Nature Press will be worth more than non-enchanted items.
Business Opportunities
Unfortunatley the Nature Press isn’t featured among the new Business Activities for those with The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, however that does not mean you can’t make a quick buck from your latest creations.
If you own The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting your Sim can list the crafted prints or candles on Plopsy, much like Knitted items, Cross-stitch items, and more.
Players with any packs that include a selling table (City Living, Jungle Adventure, Eco Lifestyle, Home Chef Hustle, Crystal Creations, Businesses & Hobbies) can stock their tables with Nature Press candles and mark them up to make a profit. You can also set them for sale in Retail Stores from Get To Work, or Small Business Lots from Businesses & Hobbies.
What are your thoughts on this new activity? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to Sims Community for all coverage on The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature.
The Natural Living Skill in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature is changing the fabric of The Sims as we know it.
The concept of The Sims as a whole started as a mere home-building and decorating simulator. It wasn’t until later in the design process that it became the life simulation that we know and love. Ever since its release, the ideology and gameplay loop throughout the entire series of The Sims has been creating a family, building a house, and either improving on that home or moving to a larger one as they reach success in their lives.
Enchanted by Nature turns that entire philosophy on its head by introducing the concept of the nomadic life. No longer does a sim need four walls and a roof to thrive and live their best life. They don’t even need furniture to fulfil their needs. The phrase “this house is a home” is no longer relevant because Sims can do just fine, truly living off the land.
But how does the Natural Living Skill in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature work? Here is your one-stop guide for wilderness living.

It’s always been possible to fulfil a Sim’s hunger need without a kitchen, but with the Natural Living Skill in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, it has become easier than ever. The concept of foraging has essentially been in the game previously by way of growing or collecting different fruits, vegetables, and the like.
Enchanted by Nature takes this to new heights by allowing your sim to eat a more varied diet, such as frogs and fish; no cooking required. Yes, your Sims can now eat raw fish. And I’m not talking about the sushi variety.
Energy
If a sim is tired, they should sleep. Anywhere. It doesn’t matter. They can now sleep on the floor, no sleeping bag required. They can sleep on the ground outside without any kind of protection or comfort. Anywhere a sim can fit, they can sleep.
As expected, it takes a lot longer for a sim’s energy needs to increase while sleeping on the ground. Their hygiene need will also steadily drop throughout their slumber. Luckily, as they improve their Natural Living Skill, the speed at which their energy rises will increase, and the speed at which their hygiene drops will decrease. Eventually, they will be perfectly content with sleeping on the ground outside as if it were the most comfortable mattress in existence.
Bladder
Please, don’t try this at home. There is potential for legal action to be taken against you for urinating or defecating outside. That said, your Sims are now free to go wherever, whenever. Sims could relieve themselves in bushes for a while now, but the Natural Living Skill changes the game. Once you reach level 2 of the skill, your Sims can summon a bush to use. I don’t know where it comes from. I don’t know where it goes. I also don’t think I want to know.
But wow, is it convenient.
As I’m sure everyone can imagine, using a bush for such intimate reasons will lead to a loss of hygiene. This drop decreases as your Natural Living Skill increases.
Hygiene
If you see water, you can bathe. That’s essentially how it feels living naturally in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, thanks to the Natural Living Skill. If water is shallow enough for a sim to wade into, they can use that water to bathe. Rivers, oceans, ponds, and lakes. Any water is clean enough water.
For those more interested in using indoor plumbing without owning it themselves, Sims are now able to take sponge baths in public restrooms. Not my cup of tea, but I’m sure some will appreciate it. Maybe not the onlookers, though.
Note: When it says public restrooms, it means the rabbithole versions found throughout the worlds, not bathrooms on public lots, sadly.
Bathing in these ways starts out with a slow rate of hygiene increase as well as the occasional uncomfortable moodlet, but this will be second nature (no pun intended) to Sims as they increase their Natural Living Skill, making it a nicer experience overall.
Social
Living naturally in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature might feel like a solitary experience for some. But it doesn’t have to be. There are friends to be found around every corner. If a sim is feeling lonely and in need of some socialization they can start socializing with nature. This ability does not unlock until level 5 of the Natural Living Skill, so it will take some time to develop.
As with every other need, this starts out with a low rate of increase, but it improves over time as the skill is developed.
Fun
There are plenty of ways to have fun in nature, even without living naturally in Sims 4. Enchanted by Nature essentially makes everything you do outdoors increase the fun need. As soon as you start developing the Natural Living Skill, your Sims will gain fun need by eating harvestables, no matter if they grew them or foraged for them. Eventually, they will increase their fun need by bathing outdoors.
One of the best ways to increase the fun need is unlocked later in the skill. At level 7, Sims are able to meditate in nature. This not only increases their fun need, but it also helps with their natural balance as well. If your Sims are feeling the negative side of life’s balance, be sure to meditate. That will put you on the up and up.
Natural Living Skill Levels
Skill Level
Benefits Unlocked
1
Can sleep on the ground indoors and outdoors but will gain Energy slowly and lose Hygiene until they grow more skillful. Can also bathe in any outdoor water that’s shallow enough to wade in, including ponds, rivers, and ocean shorelines. In addition, they can also take a sponge bath in a public restroom and the Fairy Hub located in Everdew. Eating harvestable foods will help them gain a small amount of fun.
2
Sim can now directly summon a Privy Bush outdoors for Bladder Relief, and gain Hunger by gulping down any fish they have acquired–no cooking involved! They can also now intentionally Forage for Food.
3
Sim can now intentionally Forage for Plants! Eating harvestable foods will also better satisfy their Hunger. Sleeping on the ground, outdoors and indoors, is a little more restful and won’t reduce their Hygiene as quickly.
4
When using the Privy Bush, sim stays cleaner and loses less Hygiene. Sim finds bathing in natural water kind of fun, even if a bit uncomfortable at times. Napping on benches is also a little nicer than before!
5
Sim can now eat frogs caught in the wild and intentionally Forage for Collectibles. They can Talk to Nature itself to slowly recover their Social Needs outdoors. They have also overcome the discomfort of bathing in natural water (and public restroom sponge baths!) They’ll get cleaner faster and feel better in the process.
6
Sim is no longer affected by extreme heat or cold, and has no problem sleeping or bathing outdoors in rain or snow. Sleeping on the ground may even give a boost to sim’s balance! They will also fill more Hunger when gulping down raw fish, with less chance of getting the Raw Rumble Moodlet.
7
Using a Privy Bush no longer affects their Hygiene at all, and feasting on harvestable foods is Fun! Sim can now also Meditate in Nature. It’s kind of fun but will take a bit more skill to get the hang of.
8
Sim will satisfy much more Hunger from eating raw Fish as well as Harvestable foods (whether gained by Foraging, Gardening, or otherwise.)
9
Frogs satisfy extra Hunger, while Talking to Nature fills much greater Social Need. Sim has also figured out Meditating in Nature, finding it not only enjoyable but also restorative to her Balance.
10
Sim can clean up very quickly in wadable waters, sleeping on the ground has even greater chance to restore some Balance, and eating harvestable foods now satisfies a large amount of Hunger. Sim now has dramatically lowered chances of getting Fear of the Dark simply from being outdoors at night, and Fear of Swimming from minor swimming incidents.
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature brings back the Apothecary Skill, an infamous skill used to craft Elixirs, both good and bad.
Magic is all about balance, and The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature keeps this trope alive. Fairy magic brings more wonder and fantasy to the Sims world, but it isn’t without the danger of Ailments. Don’t worry, though! With the Apothecary Skill, your Sim can craft Cures for Ailments, Elixirs, and Luck Charms to combat these, ensure your Sim is as good as new, and even cause a little mayhem.
The Apothecary Skill and Ailments in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature
A Breakdown of The Apothecary Skill
Like other skills in The Sims 4, the Apothecary Skill can be levelled up in several different ways. There are three Skill Books your Sim can read to increase their Skill level, and your Sim can use a Computer to Research Cures & Elixirs for a Skill boost. Most importantly, aspiring apothecaries will need to use a Leafy Ledge Apothecary Table to study and craft cures. The Mystical Personality Trait will also give your Sim a boost when it comes to levelling up their Skill.
Aside from these basics, each level introduces a new way to level up your Sim’s crafting abilities.
The Apothecary Skill Level 1
Embark on your Sim’s new journey by using an Apothecary Table to Study Apothecary Cures and unlock the Apothecary Skill.
The Apothecary Skill Level 2
As a fledgling apothecary, your Sim can Forage for Apothecary Ingredients by clicking on the ground (must be dirt, grass, or sand). Sims at this level can also craft the Sonic Sinuses, Greenie Meanie, Luck Magnet, Emotional Void, and Gnome Lure Ailment Cures at an Apothecary table.
This level also unlocks the Apothecary Study Set in Buy Mode.
The Apothecary Skill Level 3
At this level, your Sim can now use the Enthuse about Crafting Elixirs Social Interaction with The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. They can also use the Emotion Potions, Enhanced Eyes, and Calming Draught Elixir recipes.
The Apothecary Skill Level 4
The fourth skill level unlocks the ability for your Apothecary Sim to craft the Noxious Gas and Hooked on Nature Elixirs.
The Apothecary Skill Level 5
At halfway through The Apothecary Skill levels, your Sim now has more resistance to smells and can purchase The Apothecarist’s Tabletop Organizer. Your Sim also unlocks the A Wee Drink and Momentary Happiness Elixir recipes.
This level also unlocks the Apothecarist’s Tabletop Organizer in Buy Mode.
The Apothecary Skill Level 6
This skill level unlocks the ability to use the Brag about Apothecary Expertise Social Interaction, plus your Sim can now Craft the Emotion Stone and Balanced Mind Elixir at the Apothecary Table.
The Apothecary Skill Level 7
Lucky Skill level 7 gives your Sim the ability to craft the Lucky Liquid Elixir and Luck Charms, which Sims can keep in their inventory to sway their Luck. These Luck Charms will emit a red or green glow around the object and give Sims Good or Bad Luck, but will expire after two days. Your Sim can reactivate these Luck Charms by clicking the item in their inventory and selecting the Rekindle with Fairy Dust interaction.
Emotion Potions can also be crafted at a Reduced Cost at this Skill level. These potions can be consumed or used for other Elixirs.
The Apothecary Skill Level 8
Reaching level eight unlocks the ability to craft the Need Stop Elixir at an Apothecary Table. This Elixir will stop a Sim’s Needs from decreasing for 24 hours.
The Apothecary Skill Level 9
At this penultimate Apothecary Skill level, your Sim is no longer affected by smells or fumes wafting from the Apothecary table. They also unlock the Fearless and Supernatural Shield recipes.
The Apothecary Skill Level 10
Sims who master this Skill can Purchase Advanced Ingredients at Apothecary Tables and craft Emotion Potions at a Reduced Cost. These Sims also unlock the Holistic Cure and Celestial Protection Elixir recipes, plus they can now convert any Emotion Potion to a different emotion!
Ailments & Their Cures
Ailments are similar to sicknesses, but with a wider variety of effects. Your Sim can contract an Ailment by becoming Very Imbalanced, interacting with other Sims with Ailments, using a toilet off of your home lot, being cursed by a Fairy, or just waking up on the wrong side of the bed.
Ailments can be cured by crafting or purchasing an Elixir, visiting a Naturopath for 1,500 Simoleons by clicking on your Sim, or asking a friendly Fairy to magically remove it! The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature has eight possible Ailments for your Sim to come across. Learn more about each Ailment and its Cures below.

Other Benefits for Apothecaries
Being a well-educated Apothecary in The Sims 4 can be helpful in other ways as well! If your Sim is interested in holistic healing through the Naturopath Career or following the ElixirEnthusiastAspiration path, then they will need to focus on learning this Skill in order to succeed.
If your Sim isn’t interested in going down the career route, they can sell their crafts throughout the world with the Come and Get it Street Store Table or use it to Start a Yard Sale on their home lot, or use The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack to open up your very own Miracle Elixir Shop!
How will your Sim use the Apothecary Skill to impact their world? Let us know what you think about this Skill in the comments below!
Here is Every Cross-Pack Feature We Have Discovered in Enchanted by Nature!
As with many Expansion Pack releases, The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature comes with a host of new cross-pack features for those who play with other Stuff, Game, and Expansion Packs. Before release, Maxis confirmed several cross-pack features, including how Fairies interact with other occults and exclusive elixirs that can be crafted to ‘cure’ other occult types. Let’s take a look at some of the new, smaller cross-pack features in Enchanted by Nature!
Table of Contents
Natural Living – Living Off-Lot
One of the major new features introduced with Enchanted by Nature is the Natural Living Skill. This skill can be developed by sleeping on the ground, foraging for food, and bathing in open waters. With 29 residential and vacation worlds, Maxis would have missed a trick by making Natural Living exclusive to Innisgreen. Thankfully, any world can be used to forage for items, and any wadeable body of water can be used to fill your Sims’ hygiene needs.
Items found by foraging can vary depending on which world you are in. For example, Sims foraging in Granite Falls are more likely to find Basil and Strawberry, and may even find herbs used for the Herbal Remedies, a feature of The Sims 4 Cottage Living. Alongside consumables, Sims may also discover crystals, flowers, and MySims Trophies, alongside other collectables in-game. You can find our full guide on collectables here!
Currently, one of the only ways to bathe naturally in The Sims 4 is at the waterfall in Mua Pel’am, a neighbourhood found in Sulani, the world that shipped with The Sims 4 Island Living. With Enchanted by Nature Sims can now bathe in any body of water that is currently swimmable. Here is a full list of spots your Sims can now bathe in:
Sulani (All Neighbourhoods)
Britechester (Gibbs Hill)
Mt Komorebi (Wakaba)
Henford-on-Bagley (All Neighbourhoods)
Tartosa (All Neighbourhoods)
Moonwood Mill
Copperdale (Plumbite Cove)
Chestnut Ridge (Galloping Gulch)
Tomarang (Koh Sahpa)
Ciudad Enamorada (Vista Hermosa)
Ravenwood (Whispering Glenn, Mourningvale)
Nordhaven (All Neighbourhoods)
Travel to Hidden Worlds
In Innisgreen’s new neighbourhood of Everdew, you can find a mysterious glowing rock. This rock allows you to travel to hidden worlds available in The Sims 4. Both Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto from the Base Game can be accessed here without needing to go through the pre-requisite tasks to access them.
Players with The Sims 4 Get to Work will be able to take their Sims from Innisgreen to Sixam in the blink of an eye. Without Enchanted by Nature installed, Sixam can only be accessed by constructing the ‘Electroflux Wormhole Generator’ and upgrading it at level 10 of the Scientist career. It can also be accessed by constructing a rocket ship and adding the ‘Wormhole Generator’ once level 10 of the Rocket Science skill has been reached.
Players who own The Sims 4 Realm of Magic will be familiar with The Magic Realm, the hidden world belonging to Spellcasters. Normally, this can be accessed via the portal in Glimmerbrook or by using the Glimmer Stone found in Spellcaster’s inventory. By using the rock in Innisgreen, non-Spellcaster Sims can visit whenever they like. Be careful, however, Fairies are not particularly kind to Spellcasters as they believe their magic is unnatural.
Mt Komorebi peak can be reached by planning a Mountain Excursion in the world of Mt Komorebi with The Sims 4 Snowy Escape. With the rock in Everdew, Sims can instantly teleport to the peak of Mount Komorebi, if cold weather is your Fairies’ preferred climate.
Nurturing Nature – Helping Animals
There are a multitude of abilities you can unlock as a Fairy as you make your way through the five ranks of the Fairy skill tree. One of these abilities is called ‘Nurture Nature’, which can be purchased for 1 Ability Point at level 1 of the skill tree. This ability will allow you to heal suffering plants and animals at the cost of a small amount of Emotional Force.
With the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack, Fairies with the Nurture Nature ability will be able to heal both Cats and Dogs of sickness and refill their needs. Depending on whether or not you have purchased the ‘Warm Force Gain’, Fairies will be able to receive emotional force from positive interactions with both Cats and Dogs.
Other animals, such as Chickens, Cows, and Llamas in The Sims 4 Cottage Living, can also be affected by the Nurture Nature interaction, and their needs will also be filled when it is used on them. Horses, mini Goats, and Sheep in the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack can also reap the rewards of this ability.
New Craftables – Plant Pottery
The last Expansion Pack, The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, introduced pottery and the Pottery skill to the game. With the pottery wheel and kiln, your Sims can craft two pots for potted plants, the Ceramic Tabletop Plant Pot and the Terrasphere Tabletop Plant Pot.
After your Sims have moulded the pots on the pottery wheel, they can then transfer the pot to the kiln and choose to glaze them with 12 different options. These plant pots can then be sold using the shop displays from Businesses & Hobbies! Broken pottery can be repaired using the pottery wheel, and the kintsugi designs can be applied to the new plant pots.
New Business Opportunities
Alongside pottery, The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies allowed our Sims to open up custom business types separate from the retail stores from Get to Work. Your Sims can select up to 5 business activities they wish for customers to do. Enchanted by Nature adds two new opportunities to the list:
Use Fairy Abilities
Craft Apothecary Elixirs
You can also choose Target Customer Criteria to attract certain types of Sims to your business. There are several new criteria available in the latest pack:
Naturopath (Career category)
Fairy (Occult category)
Disruptive (Trait Category)
Mystical (Trait Category)
Plant Lover (Trait Category)
Apothecary (Skill category)
Natural Living (Skill category)
Another feature of Businesses & Hobbies was the ability to run classes and lectures on any lot in-game. Both the Natural Living and Apothecary skills can be taught at the lecture whiteboard.
The Club System – Fairy Gatherings
The club system was introduced with The Sims 4 Get Together, allowing Sims to create custom clubs with individually chosen activities. Similar to business customer criteria, your Sims can also choose to run clubs exclusively for Fairires, those in the Naturopath career, or with any of the three new traits.
There are also new club activities that you can either allow or forbid:
Craft Apothecary Elixirs
Use Fairy Abilities
Use Natural Living Skill
Seasonal Compatibility – Let It Snow
After the lack of seasonal compatibility in Ravenwood in The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack, Innisgreen is fully compatible with The Sims 4 Seasons! Both Coast of Adhmor and Sprucederry have full seasonal changes, including snowy Winters and hot Summers.
Everdew, on the other hand, experiences its own seasonal cycle, much like The Magic Realm! The weather there will always be temperate, perfect for the Nomad lifestyle.
University Additions – Natural Studies
Many packs since the release of The Sims 4 Discover University have introduced new University elective classes, as well as boosts to careers from certain degrees. Enchanted by Nature comes with one new career, Naturopath, and 2 new skills, Apothecary and Natural Living.
For those wanting to attend University for a boost in skills and a leg up after they graduate, the Biology Degree can benefit Sims looking to enter the Naturopath career. The degree can be taken at either the Foxbury Institute or the University of Britechester. Sims who want to take Biology at the Foxbury Institute will be required to have sufficient relevant skills to be accepted into a distinguished degree program.
Alongside Biology, Sims can take Physics to instantly join the Apothe-curist branch upon graduation, or Psychology to receive an instant path into the Lifestyle Coaching branch. Both of these degrees can be taken at the University of Britechester, or Distinguished at the Foxbury Institute if they have the skills.
Sims are required to take 12 total classes to graduate and have the option to take elective classes that cover different topics related to their chosen course. Enchanted by Nature has one new elective class, ‘Apothecary Elixirs: Art, Science, or Magic?’. Unfortunately, there is no Natural Living skill-related elective for Sims attending either University.
Occult Crossovers – Vampires, Werewolves, and Mermaids, oh my!
In a recent blog post, The Sims Team revealed that there is a lot of crossover when it comes to Fairies interacting with other occult types. Fairies will not get on with Spellcasters due to their belief that Spellcaster magic is unnatural. Werewolves, on the other hand, are loved by Fairies, and their bond is strong. You can read the full blog post here or below:
There are a plethora of previous Expansion and Game Packs that allow your Sim to connect with other Occult Sims. See below for a few you can try:
If you have the The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack, the Cottage Living Expansion Pack or the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack, Fairy Sims can use their Nurture Nature to fulfil animal needs and instantly cure sick cats and dogs.
In addition, there are so many ways for Fairy Sims to connect with their Occult Sim counterparts! With the Werewolves Game Pack, Fairies can soothe Werewolves and bring their fury back to zero and return them to their Sim form, and with the Vampires Game Pack, Fairies can remove vampirism from Vampire Sims to return them to their natural Sim selves. Fairy Sims can also hydrate and top off the needs of their Mermaid Sim and PlantSim friends with the Island Living Expansion Pack!
With The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack, the Werevolves Game Pack and the Vampires Game Pack, Sims can use Apothecary crafting to create an Elixir that refills all needs instantly for Occult Sims.
The Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack introduces the Fear of Magic, making Sims who have had a bad experience with magic feel unsettled by it. If you have the Realm of Magic Game Pack, Sims may even get Paranoid when near Spellcasters or other Occult Sims.
What other cross-pack functionality have you discovered? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to Sims Community for all coverage on The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature.

A Fairy’s Journey
The first part of this aspiration focuses not only on becoming a fairy, but also befriending Fairy Sims and throwing Fairy Dance Parties.

Befriend 2 Fairy Sims
Sounds pretty easy, right? Well, upon completing the first stage of the Fairy Story aspiration, your Sim will be awarded the Into the Everdew Trait.
Embracing Fairy Life
A little more of a challenge for the second stage of the aspiration, but not unreachable at all.
Reach the Glimmering Fairy Rank
Use Fairy Dust to Enchant 3 Items

The Choice is Yours
Now, there are actually two additional hidden aspirations that link back into fairy life. You could say that there are actually four The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature aspirations instead, but we digress.
During your Fairy Story aspiration journey, you will be presented with this choice. Do you choose the life of a Harmonious Fairy or a Discordant Fairy? Don’t worry, as you can complete both of these secret aspirations at any time now they are unlocked.
Both of these initially hidden The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature aspirations have one stage each with multiple tasks you can complete.
Harmonious Fairy
Those lucky Sims who choose to follow the Harmonious Fairy pathway will find that their Fairy Sims will thrive when helping others. You’ll usually find them Nurturing plants and animals, or even curing Ailments!

These Happily Harmonious Fairy Sims will also have Fun using their Fairy abilities to Cure Ailments, Bloom Plants and use Growth Eruption on nearby plants or Influencing Relationships for the better.
Reward Trait Description:
Harmonious Fairies know how to have Fun – sharing the Fairy Journey with others, as well as lending a helping hand to Sims and plants alike!
Discordant Fairy
Now, if you are more into being mischievous and sneaky as a Fairy, then the Discordant Fairy pathway may be more up your street! From influencing other Sims’ luck or emotions to instantly breaking objects, these Fairy Sims are here to cause chaos and have fun!
Use the Cure or Apply Ailment Fairy Ability to Inflict Ailments on 3 Sims
Shift the Luck of 3 Sims

Trigger Fear of Magic on a Sim
Delightfully Discordant Reward Trait
Once you complete the Discordant Fairy path, your Sim will be awarded the Delightfully Discordant Reward Trait.
These are Sims who gain Balance and Fun when using Fairy Abilities to Apply Ailments, Influence Another’s Relationship for the worst rather than good, Project a Negative Emotion or Age Up Another Sim. Sounds a bit chaotic, don’t you think?
Reward Trait Description:
These Fairies delight in wreaking havoc on the lives of other Sims, regaining Balance and Fun when they use malicious Fairy Abilities on other Sims.
Well, that is everything that you need to know about Fairy Stories along with the two additional Fairy aspirations that you unlock. Don’t worry, as you can complete both the Harmonious and Discordant Fairy Aspirations at any time!

New Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Collection
Innisgreen Ingredients
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature‘s collection is made up of a few fun items you’ll find while foraging, as well as some weird emotion potions. These potions, sadly, take up a majority of the collection list. I don’t know why. (Please, EA, enough with emotional items, we have so many already.)
I would have much preferred more natural foraging items for the collection, but maybe that’s just me. (It’s not.)

How to Collect
There are a few ways you can collect the Innisgreen Ingredients in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection.
Purchase
One of the easiest is to simply purchase them from Todd Attenberry, aka Apothecary Todd, for you Sims Makin’ Magic players. Todd can be found at his apothecary stall in the Sprucederry neighborhood of Innisgreen.
Todd’s shop is only open from 8 am-7 pm every day. You’ll still be able to purchase some ingredients even if the shop is closed because the crafting table has items you can purchase whenever. While the inventory at his stall changes daily, the items available to purchase at the crafting table are the same items consistently, with new items available as you level up your apothecary skill.
Forage
The best way to collect the ingredients is to forage them throughout the world. However, ingredient foraging doesn’t unlock until your apothecary skill is level 2. The quickest way to do this is to either buy the skill book from Todd’s stall or by studying apothecary cures at the work table.
Once you’re level 2 in the apothecary skill, you can forage for ingredients by clicking anywhere on the ground. Your sim will then search the area and you’ll be alerted to what they find. Do note that you’ll find all kinds of ingredients used for remedies, not just the collection items.
You’ll need to forage again and again to find everything to finish the collection, as some items are rarer than others. No one said foraging was easy.
Fables
A fun way to find the ingredients in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection is by completing fables. Fables have you running around the world completing quests after speaking to certain key NPC sims in the world of Innisgreen. If you’ve played the Life & Death Expansion Pack, it’s the same concept as collecting the tarot cards, but with a different flavor. By completing these fables, you’ll sometimes be awarded with ingredients.
To take part in the Fable quests, you should seek out one of the Fables Boards throughout the world. They look like the image below.
The Fables Board will show you all of the special NPCs throughout Innisgreen that will give you quests. Stay tuned for our in-depth guide on the Fables feature.
Gardening
For the more green-thumbed Sims, gardening for ingredients is also possible thanks to the Everdew Plants. Three new magical plants introduced in Enchanted by Nature produce different ingredients for you to gather.
Aura Blossom – This plant produces Aura Petals
Lightning Root – This plant produces Lightning Root Leaves
Moody Shrub – This plant produces bottled emotions. You can then use bottled emotions to change which emotion the plant produces.
In order to forage for plants in Innisgreen, you need to be level 7 in the Natural Living Skill. Luckily, this is not the only way to procure these rare magical flora. You can also find the aforementioned Fable NPC characters throughout the world and complete their Fable Tasks or trade for the magical seeds. The last, and easiest, way to get these seeds is to buy them at the garden shop in the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood.
Bottling
It’s not the fastest way or the most reliable, but another way of collecting bottled emotions is to bottle them yourself at Moondrop Springs in Everdew. Ask the waters how they’re feeling and they’ll be forthright with their emotional state. If it’s an emotion you’re looking for, feel free to bottle some up to take home with you. The water’s emotional state changes every twelve hours, midnight and noon. You can also only bottle water once in a twelve hour period.
You can also ask the waters to change its emotional state for you. It’s not a guarantee that it will. The chances of it being receptive to your request increases as you befriend Mother Nature.
Crafting
The last way to finish your collection is by crafting. When using the apothecary crafting station, you’re able to use three positive or negative emotion potions to craft one of another type. If you find yourself with too many of one kind, use them to make one of which you don’t have many.
Additions to previous Collections
Shockingly, there are no additions to any previous collections in the game. The items in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection of Innisgreen Ingredients are the only new collectables in the game. For an expansion pack so focused on both magic and living off the land by foraging, I’m high-key disappointed in this.
I understand that they don’t include new items for other DLC collections, so I wasn’t expecting new items in the Magical Artefacts collection or the Insect collection. However, I thought for sure there would be new frogs, fish, plants, and/or crystals. I find this to be a completely missed opportunity and honestly a let down, especially when the Innisgreen Ingredients collection is mostly made up of weird potions instead of actual foraged items.
From the fluttering wings of a fairy to the practical clothes of a nature nomad, The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature CAS comes with a lot of great options to customize your Sims before they take a trip to Innisgreen or transform with their newfound abilities!

Final Thoughts
While I think this is a great expansion for Create-A-Sim, I also believe some areas could have been improved. Most items are unisex, which is great, but it also tends to show a lack of style variation between Sims who dress in a feminine or masculine style. I also believe that the lack of almost anything for children and younger, both from clothes to the lack of fairy-specific items for them, is disappointing.
However, I overall believe you can do so much with this pack in terms of Create-A-Sim. The expanded skin tones available, the abundance of wings with the ability to paint and customize them included, and the brand new tattoos are many ways you can create unique, nature and fantasy-themed sims. I also personally find a lot of the assets to be creative and well-made, and have a very soft spot in my heart for the little flower hats for toddlers and infants, and the jelly sandals for children and younger!
