With the arrival of the July 1st update, the Sims Team brought us glass walls, a feature which hasn’t been in any of the games since The Sims 2. I expect many simmers will come up with magical ways to use it. It was also an opportunity that I couldn’t resist. So, in preparation for the release of The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, I wanted to brush up my more whimsical builds as well as test out the glass walls.
Table of Contents
The Idea
I, like many keen simmers, am impatiently waiting for the Enchanted by Nature expansion pack to release. It is right up my alley gameplay-wise with all of the gardening and living off the land features. Along with gameplay, the build/buy looks stunning with a certain Art Nouveau spin that we are missing.
So, to fill the void while I wait till Thursday, I wanted to build a charming cottage for a fairy to eventually live in.
9 times out of 10, when I’m choosing to build somewhere, I gravitate towards Henford-On-Bagley. Partially due to the architectural style, which I’m familiar with, but also for the farming aspect. I knew immediately that this cottage needed to be built in the top left-hand lot called Cordelia’s Secret Cottage.
The vision that I had for this cottage was overgrown landscaping with a variety of flowers. Mostly purple but a few other colours. Then, to use the glass wallpaper, I decided a greenhouse would be perfect for this. Not only do I enjoy building greenhouses, but I think it fits with the cottage aesthetic.
Sims 4 Glass Walls Build Tips
Now, if you are unfamiliar with the new glass walls, have no fear because it’s very simple. They act similarly to windows as they are both transparent, but the wallpaper is found under “Wall Patterns” then “Mics”.
There are 6 variants, each with 4 swatches. A 7th variant is arriving with the Enchanted by Nature pack.
Like normal wallpaper, you just apply it to whichever wall you want, and it appears on both the inside and outside. You can apply either by wall or room.
The swatches are meant to be the same as the glass roofs, although I found there wasn’t consistency between the detailing. The wallpaper detailing is much darker than its roof counterpart, which is a little disappointing as it makes matching them much more difficult. Perhaps it is something the Sims team will go back and correct at some point.
Finishing The Build
For the rest of the build, the structure came together quickly. I wanted to keep it small and simple because my vision was of a quaint cottage, not a large farmhouse.
For the exterior colour scheme, I went for dark wallpaper because I wanted the lighter windows and colourful flowers to pop against it. The interior is a little lighter as I picked pale purple wallpaper and had lots of blue-toned green accents throughout.
For decorating, I wanted it to be very mystical, so I tried to find the most magical-looking items. It is filled with many objects from the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack as well as some of the more magical clutter from Werewolves and Realm of Magic Game Packs.
The greenhouse was filled with all sorts of plants. I included two planter boxes and a flower arranging table for gameplay, but wanted the rest to be plant-heavy; I decided that, as garden patches were abundant outside, there didn’t need to be many in the greenhouse.
Overall, I think the exterior and interior are good reflections of each other and fit the bewitching style that I was going for. The landscaping also has a slight magical feel with it being overgrown and very colourful.
The Outcome
I am very happy with the addition of glass walls. I think I will get a lot of use out of them, particularly in my gameplay, where I often have a gardener who needs a greenhouse. Plus, I think it will pair very well with the upcoming Enchanted by Nature items coming, so I’m looking forward to what everyone in the community creates!

Brighten your world view with these beautiful map replacements!
If you’ve been looking for a way to bring your spark back to the world management side of your Sims gameplay, Sims 4 custom map replacements are a great way to do it! With over 28 total worlds as of June 2025, and the 29th on the way with the release of Innisgreen in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, the game has tons of areas for your sims to explore and for you to build upon. But after a certain point, it starts to feel a bit… drab. Sitting in manage worlds with the simplified and bright green background of Willow Creek or golden Oasis Springs can start to make things feel old.
Not to fear! Custom Content creators have a myriad of Sims 4 Custom Map Replacements that can completely overhaul your view of the game, and really change the feel of each world!
Since these can be very time-consuming and detailed projects to begin and continue, most Custom Content creators do not have every single map in The Sims 4 available. Thankfully, we’ve compiled a list of custom maps so that each world in The Sims 4 has at least one option so your in-game maps can have a fresh new look!
20th Century Plumbob is a creator who has a history of making Machinimas, or short films in The Sims 4, but dove headfirst into making gorgeous custom maps that can fit into almost anyone’s game, from Maxis Match to Maxis Mix to Alpha. Their maps bring so much character and detail, and many maps come with different versions to accommodate your view of the world! They also primarily focus on making the map reflect the actual world, and often include little details found in-game but not in the original map!
Dershayan, also known as Shayan, is a creator who primarily works on smaller mods, fanart map overhauls, and much more. The maps they create have a very smooth and painted look and style, allowing for your lots to stand out but for each map to feel more real. They feel like I’m strolling through Willow Creek Archives and viewing a masterfully painted map of the area.
As this is being written as we’re awaiting the release of Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature and the world Innisgreen that comes with it, make sure to keep an eye out for the featured creators to release their own overhauls of that world in the near future!
We also recommend separating these mods in your mods folder; While they won’t break as often as other user interface mods as the map view is not updated by The Sims team as much, it is still always mindful as a way to avoid conflicts, especially with many creators having multiple versions of each world map. Also, in the case of issues with custom map mods due to an update or something else, separating them makes it easier to troubleshoot until they are updated.
Oasis Springs
20th Century Plumbob Oasis Springs This custom map for Oasis Springs brings in details of the in-game world to the map view, with a beautiful mix of the deep green turf, golden sand, and reddish rocks and hills. The neighborhoods are properly separated similarly to how they are in-game, and even tiny details like bushes and leaning palm trees are present!
MissChipsa Historical Oasis Springs Estrella’s Oasis Springs is rich, warm, and you can feel the blistering sun and heat present in the area. Perfect for historical, medieval, and fantasy saves set in a desert area, this custom map takes away a lot of the modern aspects of Oasis Springs and introduces a sandy world fit for many different saves and gameplay styles.
Dershayan Oasis Springs Fanart Map Oasis Springs in Shayan’s map feels closer to a watercolor or oil painting representative of the town, with smooth color blending and rich detail. It adds in background areas not represented in the game like roads leading out of town, decorative neighborhoods and extra houses, and so much more.
Willow Creek
20th Century PlumbobWillow Creek 20th Century Plumbob’s Willow Creek pulls away from the bright green of the base game map, and instead pushes Willow Creek closer to its real world inspiration; A southern bayou and swampy area with tons of water, deep dark grass, and red muddy sand on the shores. The surrounding forested areas feels much more lush, removing a lot of the open space found in the original Willow Creek map.
MissChipsa Historical Willow Creek Map Estrella creates a replacement map for Willow Creek with a story built right into it! The peaceful waterside settlement is neighbored by an active volcano, with both dead and alive trees sprinkled along the landscape. The rivers and canals separate homes and other lots, functioning as separation for each neighborhood.
Dershayan Dershayan’s Willow Creek is close to the original color scheme, but it heavily expands upon the intricate natural and manmade bodies of water found throughout Willow Creek, since it is inspired by real world bayous and similar areas. Lots of detail is added to make the world feel more full, which can be really helpful as Willow Creek is one of the oldest maps, leading to it feeling somewhat dated when compared to newer packs.
Magnolia Promenade
20th Century Plumbob 20th Century Plumbob adds much more detail to show the connection of Magnolia Promenade to Willow Creek, like the nearby canal featuring the ferry, as well as the brick paved road and railcar to make it feel more like a small shopping district just off of Willow Creek, Newcrest, and other similar areas.
MissChipsa Historical Map Replacement Estrella has transformed Magnolia Promenade into a busy town square, fit for a market where your medieval or historical save sims can shop for their produce and other goods. Small houses surround the town and the road is paved with cobblestone, and the nearby homes have thatched roofs to blend in with your builds!
Dershayan This map by Shayan feels almost like a storybook or children’s book surrounding Magnolia Promenade, with smooth and beautiful imagery to fit in well with the area. I love how the cherry blossom trees stick out among the plain green, and the details painted to show the flow of the river and nearby canal.
Newcrest
20th Century Plumbob For Newcrest being added as a “Blank Slate” sort of world so players can build freely, the standard in-game map feels quite barren, even when you’ve filled the entire world. 20th Century Plumbob has created a map that accurately reflects what we see in-game and what we expect for a world supposedly connected to areas like Willow Creek, Magnolia Promenade, etc. Suburbia in a bayou is a great way to describe it, with decorative older homes adjacent to empty lots to fill up the streets.
MissChipsa Historical Map Replacement (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) Estrella creates a world with a cobblestone road, small bridges, and a cleared yet still forested area for your historical and fantasy save files. The town has been overall decluttered, making it a blank slate for you to fit in your tiny cabin or large estate builds! You also have two options for either a clear and spring-like Newcrest, or one covered with a soft layer of snow!
Dershayan Newcrest becomes more like its own neighborhood rather than an entire world, the added buildings by Shayan making it cohesive and the perfect place for your sims new starter or family-sized home! Tiny details that we personally love include the fountain in the little river, the added golf course, and the tiny canal that splits off from the small body of water in the center of town.
Granite Falls
20th Century Plumbob When you send your sims camping in Granite Falls, does it ever feel like the map is not reflective of the actual area? Seems a bit sparse, right? Well, 20th Century Plumbob has that taken care of! Their map overhaul plants tons of beautiful trees to cover the map, provides more focus on the nearby scenic waterfall, and still places the mountains in the background with the bright blue sky roaming overhead!
MissChipsa (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) Whether you’re still taking a trip with your sims to Granite Falls, just with a little less technology, or you’re playing with the “All Worlds Are Residential” mod by Zerbu, Estrella’s multiple variants of her Granite Falls map overhaul have you covered! For historical saves, she has a tiny town square in a remote forest. For fantasy saves, she has the section of a small kingdom, with an eye-drawing statue that almost glows. Finally, for prehistoric saves an untouched forest with vast swaths of land and mountains sits waiting for your sims to discover!
20th Century Plumbob With Windenburg being quite a bit of an older map, you can see how it could get old as time progresses and new maps get added to the game. However, 20th Century Plumbob did a beautiful refresh of the world. The ocean is so much bluer, the coast is more defined and accurate to in-game, and there’s even the addition of many decorative buildings in the city to make it feel closer to real life!
MissChipsa Windenburg Replacements (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) Misschipsa provides two great variant maps to overhaul Windenburg, both allowing for some possible amazing storylines! The first is a standard Medieval Windenburg, with added ships, a cobblestone road surrounding the city, and many tiny details to remove modernization. The second is an Elven Windenburg. The added ships are more refined and colorful, everywhere is a dirt or grassy area, and there’s even a beautifully designed castle in the northern section of the map!
Dershayan With wide forested areas surrounding the homes close to the manor, a soft blue sea that flows into nearby rivers, and a cluster of homes to make the city feel more alive and real, Shayan provides an amazing overhaul for your sims who want to live in the quaint forested north or the bustling city east of Windenburg!
San Myshuno
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) Whether your sim is running out the door to get to their job or heading out to the karaoke bar on a Friday night, 20th Century Plumbob has a map overhaul for night owls and early birds! Both maps really make San Myshuno feel closer to a bustling city that can be a bit cramped at times, rather than feeling very open or sparse like the original. The nighttime variant also includes soft water reflections and lights coming from different buildings to add some depth and variety!
Dershayan A soft white vignette frames Shayan’s map replacement for San Myshuno. This map replacement also adds in tons of decorative buildings so it feels closer to a true urban area, with close quarters and skyscrapers reaching as high as they can go! Original objects like the non-playable island are removed and the canal or river is cut short on the top, to allow for more buildings to be added as well!
MissChipsa Medieval San Myshuno How do you turn a bustling modern city into a sprawling settlement with small encampments, towers, and even the ability to make a floating castle? We personally wouldn’t know, but Estrella figured it out! Transform your San Myshuno into the perfect place for your fantasy or middle ages save file!
Forgotten Hollow
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) 20th Century Plumbob provides a much greener and secluded Forgotten Hollow, with both a daytime and nighttime variant for all your Vampire (or other type of sim!) needs! While the maps are generally the same, save for color differences with changes in lighting, they both have great little details that help them better reflect the in-game world. The nighttime variant also has little glowing street lights!
20th Century Plumbob The coastal town of Brindleton Bay is now more detailed than ever! With a softly blurred vignette to keep a focus on the center of town, 20th Century Plumbob has added every detail of the in-game map, as well as added some other sights to make the map more cohesive! I particularly like the added bridge on the northeast side of the map, as well as the added decorative homes to add to the small town feel!
Dershayan Shayan’s take on Brindleton Bay creates a more rural feel for the town, similarly to the original map created by EA. the town has a small dock for boats in the area, has a nearby brick paved area for parks, and then the separate island and forested area for those who want to live a tad further from civilization. The separated island also has a teeny tiny dock, as well as the lovely lighthouse with its attached living area.
MissChipsa Brindleton Bay Estrella’s creativity knows no bounds! She adds three new map variants for Brindleton Bay. While all of them are made less modern and more rustic overall, yet still include docks to allow Brindleton Bay to continue to be a coastal trade city, they have a few slight tweaks! Brindleton Bay: Normal features a very deep and warm forested area with mountains that frame the scene. Brindleton Bay: Winter, has speckles of snow on the ground, but is overall the same, it just adds some weather variation. Finally, Brindleton Bay: Winter Viking has a much thicker layer of snow, much more foliage, and the architecture more closely resembles ancient Nordic and Viking architecture! It also has a lighthouse!
20th Century Plumbob Playing an archaeologist sim has never felt more adventurous and fun! Get whisked away to 20th Century Plumbob’s updated Selvadorada map, filled with deep emerald colored trees and large cliffsides that drop right down into the ocean blue! The map overhaul more accurately showcases the coloring of the game itself when you’re in Live Mode, and really spruces up the map!
Dershayan With colors closer to what you would imagine a real-world Selvadorada to look like and brush strokes that highlight features and draw the eye to special places, Shayan’s Selvadorada map is absolutely gorgeous. The waterfalls flow and splash down into the nearby roaring river, and the details of the jungle feel cohesive and clear as your sim explores and uncovers the mysteries of Selvadorada.
Del Sol Valley
20th Century Plumbob If you imagine Del Sol Valley as a very large, bustling city, perfect for creatives and celebrities, then 20th Century Plumbob has made the map overhaul for you! Tons of decorative buildings and little details are added to expand upon the map, also adding in a pier as well as little cars that dot the multi-level highway. The spots set aside at the top of the hill for large mansions and celebrity hideaways are now lots carved into the top of a mountain, making it feel more secluded and exclusive!
Dershayan Shayan’s overhaul of Del Sol Valley really adds in details to expand upon the world and make it feel bigger and brighter; With a nearby pier featuring a Ferris wheel, a large freeway cutting through the center of town, and nearby rolling hills to hold up the mega mansions of the rich & famous, Del Sol Valley looks like a great place for a struggling artist or actor to make it big!
MissChipsa Medieval Del Sol Valley Trade the Glitz & Glamour of the Los Angeles inspired Del Sol Valley for the rugged forest of Estrella’s map overhaul! While most of the town has been turned into a vast forested village, with a nearby castle and log-walled camp visible, the “ultra-wealthy” neighborhood reserved for higher up celebrities sits on its own plateau. Perfect for sims like Ye Olde Judith Ward!
Strangerville
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) 20th Century Plumbob has created a map overhaul for Strangerville with two unique variations, and I think it fits perfectly into the story of Strangerville, both before and after! While both can be used at either time, I think that using “Strangerville Dark” during the story, when the mother plant is active, and “Strangerville Light” once the town has been saved is a perfect way to add some variety to your save file! Both maps have little details that set them apart, like more foliage being added and visible streetlights on the dark map, along with the foreboding purple glow coming from the “Secret Lab”!
Dershayan Shayan created a beautiful overhaul for Strangerville, perfect for all your Mother Plant slaying and desert living needs! Its a tiny desert town with a river separating both residential neighborhoods from the foreboding crater surrounding the secret lab, the deep red sand adding beautiful contrast with the light blue river and smaller bodies of water speckled on the map.
Sulani
20th Century Plumbob 20th Century Plumbob’s map overhaul for Sulani really brightens up the already very bright world, making it much closer to how it looks in-game, but also much easier on the eyes. The area overhaul has a lot more visual contrast to draw your eye. With the volcanic rock and volcano itself being deepened to a true-to-life black, and the water being a widespread deep turquoise dotted with neon green to represent pollution. Sulani feels more home-like, and its a great replacement map option!
Dershayan Shayan puts great detail into their map overhaul, from the smoke and steam billowing from the volcano and down to the little decorative houses and tiny sailboats that dot the islands and sea of the map. The colors of the map feel more cohesive than the original, almost like its a postcard you’d receive from a friend who moved to Sulani and wanted to give you a souvenir.
MissChipsa Medieval Sulani Map Estrella’s map overhaul takes away a lot of modern elements, like her other overhauls, so it can fit better into historical, prehistoric, or almost any save set in another era! This even includes changing the general shape of the islands! They run a lot closer together in certain spots and the volcano is more active than usual, with whirlpools in the sea and smog billowing off the volcano.
Glimmerbrook
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) Whether you choose to forever have your magical Glimmerbrook bright and full of daylight, or aglow with the rising sun, 20th Century Plumbob has created a beautiful map to completely change how you view the tiny mystical world! The forests surrounding the area are thickened, making it feel more remote and less connected from the rest of the world, perfect for an area teeming with magic!
Dershayan Fit to adorn the walls of the Magic HQ in Glimmerbrook’s hidden magical realm, this painted and stylized map overhaul refreshes the world. It even includes a separate area past the portal that is covered in a soft, pink-purple mist, representing the magic found hidden within this world! Shayan conveys the gameplay found in this world perfectly with subtle hints and a beautiful overhaul!
MissChipsa Medieval Glimmerbrook Estrella’s map overhaul provides and entirely new take on Glimmerbrook; Rough winds and storms run wild near the portal at the end of the river. A bright glow highlights the now much larger portal, drawing attention to the hidden magic realm just outside of the forested area where sims live in Glimmerbrook. The mountains feel more dark and somewhat menacing, and even though it is intended for historical or fantasy saves, I feel it works perfectly for almost any era!
Britechester
20th Century Plumbob While there is also an available Low Saturation variant, I believe that the bright and multicolored original Britechester map fits perfectly well, but it is all personal preference! 20th Century Plumbob provides a great overhaul that expands on the world of Britechester, opening it up for your incoming students or families in a college town. The campuses feel much larger, and there is a larger divide between the two as the color schemes even differ!
Dershayan The canals that run under and around the streets of Britechester are widened, closing in and making the map feel closer to a true representation of the small, older college town. The island in the middle separates the two opposing universities, adding the stark contrast to showcase the “Modernity Versus Tradition” ideas of the world. Shayan captures the vibes of Britechester perfectly!
MissChipsa Medieval Britechester The long and grueling carriage ride is over and you have finally landed in Britechester, a quaint and quiet village neighboring the two universities available in your area. Small houses dot the forest, and the deep rivers carve the land, bridges hanging over them to allow for travel by foot. Estrella’s map replacement makes the world feel more rural and fit for a time long ago, yet still having two opposing architectures.
Evergreen Harbor
20th Century Plumbob 20th Century Plumbob’s view of Evergreen Harbor fits the gameplay surrounding the world perfectly. With each neighborhood being their own level of green or eco-friendly, they’ve perfectly captured the smoggy and polluted streets in the southern area of the map, while also showcasing the pristine nature of the suburbia style area in the upper left.
Batuu
20th Century Plumbob Even one of the most controversial worlds to ever grace the Sims 4 needs some TLC to brush things up! With an overview of the rocky cliffs near the Black Spire Outpost, down to the small forest surrounding the Resistance Encampment, your vacation to Batuu got just a bit more out of this world!
Mt. Komorebi
20th Century Plumbob The snowy peaks of Mt. Komorebi surround and cast a shadow over the bright and green town beneath. It looks like the perfect place for a fun family getaway, or for your sims to live out their festival and snow-filled lives. The colors have a bright contrast, creating a clear separation between the different sections of the world, and the Wakabas river is a beautiful deep teal that borders the map, making it inviting enough for your sims to swim in!
Dershayan Shayan has created an absolutely stunning painted map for Mt. Komorebi. The world feels beautifully crafted, almost like you’re viewing a brochure for visiting Mt. Komorebi, and the green surrounding area of the town attracts you to the main attraction; The snowy peaks of the mountain with its skiing, snowboarding, and mountain climbing activities. It is an absolutely beautiful option of refresh your view of the world!
Henford-On-Bagley
20th Century Plumbob Your heart fills with whimsy and adventure looking at the lush and vivid green map that 20th Century Plumbob has created for Henford-On-Bagley. The town is adorned with its cobbled roads and nearby castle ruins, and the rural farmland spreads all the way to the bright blue sky on the horizon.
MissChipsa Medieval Henford-On-Bagley Get your hands dirty and round up the livestock for Estrella’s map overhaul for Henford-On-Bagley! Reminiscent of aged parchment, the yellow and warm tones of the trees make it feel like the harvest season is approaching and you’re trying to plan how you’re going to get everything handled before the deep winter. Perfect for the toils and struggles of a Sims 4 Decades Challenge!
Tartosa
20th Century Plumbob The tropical, Mediterranean-Inspired world of Tartosa has always been a beautiful place to relax and gather for life’s precious moments, but 20th Century Plumbob knocked it out of the park with this map replacement! Serious depth is added with tiny details including the decorative homes, the rugged cliffside, and the beautiful waterfalls sinking into the deep blue sea being highlighted. It feels like you’re on a helicopter tour overlooking the island!
Moonwood Mill
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) 20th Century Plumbob provides two options for Moonwood Mill, that are similar yet distinct! The daytime Moonwood Mill is bright, cool-toned, and perfectly encapsulates the forested and rural world. The nighttime Moonwood Mill makes the tones much deeper and more vivid, with brighter accent lights and of course, the beautiful moon reflecting off the lake. A perfect place for your unplanned wolfy rampage!
Dershayan Shayan brings nighttime in Moonwood Mill to life with their painted maps. Small details that really pull it together include a softly lit billboard leading out of town, more details added to the canal on the right side of the map, a lumberyard. Moonwood Cliff looks stoic, and draws attention while not distracting from the other bits and pieces put into this map.
Copperdale
20th Century Plumbob 20th Century Plumbob’s custom map for Copperdale taps into the expansiveness of the real world Pacific Northwest, which Copperdale is partially based off of, adding in trees and thick brush all over the map. The town is surrounded by either widespread mountains or the deep blue sea, depending on the side you’re looking at, and this custom map makes everything feel vivid, rich, and life-like.
MissChipsa Medieval Copperdale Set in vivid autumn tones, Estrella’s take on Copperdale largely removes industrial man-made features in what was already a lushly forested world, replacing them with smaller handcrafted structures and pieces that can fit within almost any timeline or era. The town square has been transformed into a much smaller setting, with warm red dirt and cobblestone roads and lovely little cottages.
San Sequoia
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) As San Sequoia is a coastal town taking heavy inspiration from San Francisco, the focal point connecting the two areas of town is the large bridge spanning between the two landmasses. When creating this beautiful take on San Sequoia, with its lush trees and beautiful blue sea, 20th Century Plumbob took that into account – To match the Red San Sequoia Bridge mod by SimMattically, there is one version that keeps it the original gray and one version that changes it to red to better reflect what is seen in-game (and with the Golden Gate Bridge!).
MissChipsa San Sequoia Medieval Map To mesh well with a save set in a fantasy or medieval-style world, Estrella has a vivid and naturalistic take on San Sequoia. The man-made bridge is instead replaced with a natural land bridge, with wooden ships and docks dotting the sea to show transportation and trade. Pine trees and dirt roads are added where cleared land and paved concrete normally sit, making for a beautiful map replacement.
Chestnut Ridge
20th Century Plumbob The far reaches of the Chestnut Ridge horizon line is present and accentuated in 20th Century Plumbob’s custom map. The rich red mesas and plateaus are evident surrounding almost the entirety of the map, with certain sections showcasing the wide open yellow-green fields of the nearby plains. The town has trails of dusty dirt roads leading to the cobblestone center that houses the Equestrian Center and nearby community lots.
Tomarang
20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!) Whether you envision the tropical city of Tomarang in all its sunny and warm glory, or by the soft glow of street stand lights during its famous Night Market, 20th Century Plumbob has you covered! The waters have deepened to a rich teal color and the land has been adjusted to accurately showcase the surrounding mountainous region and smaller islands nearby.
20th Century Plumbob The overall stylization for Ciudad Enamorada is improved and made into an accurate representation of what its like for a sim to live in the world itself, featuring the in-game decorative homes, skyscrapers, and commercial buildings with their bright red and orange roofs and varied stucco exteriors. 20th Century Plumbob knocks it out of the park with a lush and warm world, truly bringing this city of love to life!
Ravenwood
20th Century Plumbob The fog over Ravenwood in 20th Century Plumbob’s map is deep, thick, and palpable. While the neighborhoods of Whispering Glen and Crow’s Crossing are bright and representative of the lively inhabitants of them, the neighborhood of Mourningvale features a darkness that spreads over the lots, with bright accent lighting to showcase the mysticism that comes with a thinned barrier between the living and the dead.
Dershayan The interpretation of Ravenwood from Shayan features rolling green hills that encapsulate a town with old roots in the area, and the neighborhood of Mourningvale is plunged into a beautifully painted darkness with a misty fog settling over the area. While being beautifully stylized, the map still stays true to the roots and lore of the neighborhood and represents the varied residents within the world.
Nordhaven
20th Century Plumbob Since Nordhaven is such a new world, there isn’t too many custom map replacements, but 20th Century Plumbob delivered with a beautiful interpretation of the world with connections to its seaside and Scandinavian inspiration. Both the water and land have much deeper and richer colors than the original map, and its closer to reflecting the in-game world than the stylized original map!
Final Thoughts & Recommendations
This is obviously not an exhaustive list as many creators have Sims 4 custom map replacements that require updating, are not publicly released, and many more reasons not listed here. I feel that using these creators as a basis for beginning your search into overhauling your in-game maps will work great for most players! Between these creators, you can get your entire game looking like new in a very short period of time, and perfectly fitted for your preferred play style!

The Sims 4 Fantasy Builds Spotlight
Whimsical Hobbit House – Create4Sims
Lot Type: Residential Lot Size: 50×40 Location: Henford-on-Bagley Price: §151,349
The trailer for The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature showed off what looked like Hobbit-hole inspired homes that blend in with their natural surroundings, originally conceived by J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, and its successor, The Lord of the Rings.
Create4Sims has taken this concept and expanded it to the max. Surrounded by rivers and ponds filled with ducks and swans, this home includes gardens and orchards fit for any Hobbit (or Sims). The back of the lot also features a pen for mini-goats so you can make a few extra simoleons in this whimsical house. Check out the build in action below!
Lot Type: Tiny Home Residential Lot Size: 20×20 Location: Windenburg Price: §151,349
This ‘Tiny Home’ wagon house is perfect for any Rags to Riches occult playthrough. With a small kitchen, outhouse, bunk bed, and plenty of garden space, this home is sure to fit any budding spellcaster who wants to connect with nature.
The grounds of the lot also feature several firefly and mosquito spawners for that added bit of ambience. There is also plenty of space to expand and build space for livestock or a garden plot! Check out the video of the build below.
Lot Type: Residential Lot Size: 30×20 Location: Glimmerbrook Price: §118,432
The ‘Fairy Tree House’ by ThePlumbobGirl takes your Sims into the skies of Glimmerbrook. With 3 alternating levels accessed by a mix of ladders and stairs, your Sims can spend time on the dining veranda, cook up some herbal remedies in the tiny kitchen, or spend time researching and reading in the round library.
The home is accessed by a beautiful sloped path lined with rocks, bushes, and glowing sprites that welcome you to your new treetop home. This will blend in perfectly in the new world of Innisgreen!
Lot Type: Bar Lot Size: 30×20 Location: Glimmerbrook
This inconspicuous little bar placed on the road leading past Glimmerbrook is harbouring a magical secret! While most of its patrons will be none the wiser, in the basement below there are Spellcasters brewing up potions.
The main floor of the bar features two bars and a seating area. But if you venture through the back room and down a hidden set of stairs, you will find the real purpose of the operation. This build is perfect for players wanting to keep the magical side of Glimmerbrook a secret, or those who want their Sims to own a roadside Small Business lot!
Lot Type: Residential Lot Size: 40×30 Location: Moonwood Mill Price: §112,096
The Spellcasters and Werewolves have a troubled history, to put it lightly, but that doesn’t stop non-werewolf Sims from purchasing a property on their turf!
Calling this a mansion is an oxymoron. Yes, it’s larger than the existing Moonwood Mill homes, but it’s certainly on the smaller side. The Second floor features a gardening balcony perfect for green-thumbed Sims, and the roof even features a garden in which you could plant all kinds of herbs and magical plants. This build sure isn’t short on houseplants!
Lot Type: Cemetery Lot Size: 64×64 Location: Ravenwood
We can’t have every build on this list be sunny and bright now, can we? The Ravenwood Church & Cemetery by Marmelad is the perfect burial spot for your deceased Sims, or a hangout for fans of the macabre.
This lot features 3 custom-built mausoleums, a church with a wedding arch, and some beautiful gardens to take a moonlit stroll through. You can check out the build in action below!
Lot Type: Residential Lot Size: 30 x 20 Location: Sulani Price: §180,550
Let’s show Sulani some love with this Mermaid Hut by SatiSim. While mermaids could do with expanding, this occult fits perfectly on the Shores of Sulani. SatiSim has created this hut with extensive use of the T.O.O.L mod by Twisted Mexi, and I must say it is very beautiful.
The hut doesn’t feature much, but that’s mostly because Mermaids enjoy spending their time sleeping in the water. The hut features a small kitchen and a makeup table. Let’s hope that mascara is water resistant!
Lot Type: HeadlessQuarters Lot Size: 20×20 Location: Ravenwood / Grim’s Realm
A home fit for Grim! This lot by LadyChaosWorld replaces the existing HeadlessQuarters, accessed by joining the Reaper active career. This multi-story house of death has everything your Reaper in-training needs.
Every floor has something different going on. In the basement, you can find Grim’s throne and a training area. Also found in the basement is a dungeon featuring multiple dingy cells. The ground floor contains the office spaces for the Grimterns to file reports, while the upper floors contain an attic room of found treasures and a rooftop observation area with a telescope and crystal charging stations.
Lot Type: Haunted House Residential Lot Size: 30 x 30 Location: Forgotten Hollow Price: §120,218
If you haven’t played with The Sims 4 Paranormal or the Haunted House Residential lot type yet, then you are missing out! This lot is perfect for any ghost-hunting wannabes.
The broken windows, falling trees, and spooky dolls all contribute to the spooky atmosphere this lot has going for it. Don’t want your day interrupted by mischievous spirits? Why not turn it into a fixer-upper? Check out the build video below… If you dare!
Lot Type: Small Business Residential Lot Size: 30 x 20 Location: Ravenwood Price: §142,597
Ninahschmidt’s Seance & Occult Store in Ravenwood is your one-stop shop for everything spooky and odd. With the shop and seance rooms on the ground floor, and a 3-bedroom apartment on the top floor, this space is sure to have your entrepreneurial emo’s raking in money!

A Full Walkthrough to Earning Rewards in The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling Event Week 3!
The third and penultimate week of The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling Event has officially begun. This week sees another two quests begin in-game, and a few new rewards for your Sims. Check out our Week 1 and Week 2 guides if you’re not caught up, or check out the rewards here! Next week is the final week to play through the quests and claim the rewards before they’re gone forever!
Let’s take a look at everything in Week 3 of The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling!
Table of Contents
‘Secret Sands’ Quest Walkthrough
The first quest of the week is titled ‘Secret Sands’. The name is a clue as to where Bob Pancakes will be heading this week. You will be greeted by this pop up informing you of the quest:
The whispers guide you to the vast expanse of Desert Bllom Park, where the winds weave tales of hidden secrets beneath the sand.
Follow the enchanting breeze as it beckons you to explore mysetrious caves and uncover artistic wonders.
Secret Sands – Quest
Once you click ‘OK’, you will be given your first three tasks. The first I decided to pursue was ‘Visit Desert Bloom Park’, so I headed to the map and visited the park in Oasis Springs.
Upon arriving at Desert Bloom Park, the task was updated, and I now had to ‘Draw In The Sand’. To do this, click on the ground and select one of three shapes to draw.
I couldn’t see any logs to search for frogs, so I undertook the next task of ‘Investigate the Cave’. If you’ve never been to the cave, follow the creek from Desert Bloom Park and go up the hill. There you will find the cave. Click on the cave and select the option.
I couldn’t find any frogs, so I headed to Foundry Cove in Willow Creek and instantly found two logs and began searching for frogs.
After heading home, I automatically completed the ‘Have a Sim Spend Time Outdoors’ task and was greeted by the completion pop-up.
The Clues at the park were truley ribbiting, but a deeper mystery lingers. The cave holds untold secrets, yet the earth’s warning echoes in your mind.
Secret Sands – Quest
‘Symphony of Serenity’ Quest Walkthrough
The next quest starts instantly, and you will be greeted with a pop-up informing you of the ‘Secret of Serenity’ Quest!
The whispers swirl around your Sim, inviting them to create harmony within their home. As the wind guides you, it hints at the peaceful symphoney of nature that can transform any space into a sanctuary.
Embrace the call to craft and listen, allowing the gentle sounds of the wild to soothe your Sim’s spirit.
Symphony of Serenity – Quest
The first task of the second quest of the week required Bob to build the new Reclaimed Wood Dining Table, which must first be redeemed from the event store. I then needed to make sure Bob was at level 5 of the Handiness Skill, an easy way to do this was using last week’s Handiness skill book.
After constructing the table, it was time to buy a new grill and cook up some supper on it. I placed the Reclaimed Wood Dining Table alongside the chairs for a perfect dinner spot.
The next task was to ‘Sleep with the Nature Soundscapes Radio Station in the Same Room’, so I set up a small radio next to their tent, and the couple went to bed.
And that was it, another week of quests finished. The popup informed me of the completion, and I could now unlock the Rings of Growth Tattoo and give Eliza some new ink!
Bringing nature indoors creates a tranquil haven, but the journey continue. The wind whispers of secrets soon to be unveiled… prepare to learn the truth she carries.
Symphony of Serenity – Quest
Week 3 Rewards
Only 2 more sets of rewards to go until the event is over, and you’re not going to want to miss next week’s. This week, we have been treated to a new craftable table, a unique radio station, a tattoo, and more smaller rewards. Let’s take a look!
Small Rewards
As with the previous 2 weeks of rewards, week 3 sees another copy of SimNation’s answer to National Geographic, ‘Touch Grass Weekly, Issue #3! Alongside the magazine display, you also receive the ‘Moodlet Solver’ potion that instantly removes any negative moodlet, and a copy of ‘Handiness Vol 3: Upgrading the Soul’. The latter will be especially useful next week for crafting the highly anticipated outhouse!
Nature Soundscapes – Radio Station
The Nature Soundscapes radio station will be added to all speakers in-game once you claim this reward. This station features 6 new tracks (Ocean Waves featured above) by Elder Bows:
Ocean Waves
Babbling Brook
Jungle Immersion
Thunderstorm
Night Critters
Forest Birds
Reclaimed Wood Dining Table
The woodworking table has received yet another addition in the form of the Reclaimed Wood Dining Table. This table has 12 swatches matching the existing chair and woodworking bench.
Rings of Growth Tattoo
This new tattoo, unlocked via the rewards store, comes in 6 swatches and can be applied to your Sims from the Tattoo category of Create-A-Sim.
Bonus: 5000 Simoleons
I could’ve just typed in ‘kaching’ five times, but it’s always nice to be rewarded for your efforts!
That’s all for this week, but make sure to check back next Tuesday for a full walkthrough of Week 4, the final week, of the Nature’s Calling event!

We Have a New Look at Innisgreen Ahead of Launch Day!
With just 2 days until the launch of The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, The Sims Team have released a short teaser showing off the new world of Innisgreen. The trailer features the 3 new neighbourhoods and 11 of the 14 lots built by community members. The lots for this world have been created by The Sims Scolls, Cracked Kyber, NinahSchmidt, and Sandra Pyka. Check out The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Innisgreen Trailer below!
Table of Contents
Coast of Adhmor
The first of three neighbourhoods shown is the Gnome-obsessed Coast of Adhmor. This world features 3 residential lots and one commercial lot, with ‘The GNOM Exhibit’ by The Sims Scrolls and ‘Gnome Coast Street’ by Cracked Kyber featured in the trailer.
We also have a look at The Wreck of Callyock that sits on the town’s rocky shoreline, Gnum Gnum’s the gnome selling stall, and the Great Gnome statue. I told you they were Gnome-obsessed!
Sprucederry Cove
The second neighbourhood show is Sprucederry Grove, the more rural of the two shown so far. At the centre of this neighbourhood of winding paths sits the Glaswood tree, which houses Spruce Almighty, and Clover’s Sees and Supplies, a gardening and plants shop.
The neighbourhood also features Delvin’s Books, the first rabbit hole bookshop featured in The Sims 4. Apothecary Todd from The Sims Makin Magic returns to run Apothecary Todd’s Cures & Elixirs in Sprucederry. We also get a look at ‘Gringle’s’, a new bar created by Sandra Pyka!
Everdew
The third and final neighbourhood is Everdew. This neighbourhood is home to all things Fairy! At the centre of town sits the Mossveil Fairy Hub, the home of the Fairy Council and a general meeting spot for all Fairies in the area. Moondrop Springs is also located in Everdew, where Sims can transform into a Fairy after receiving Mother Nature’s blessing.
Three new residential lots are shown off in the Innisgreen Trailer. ‘Pucket Hall’ by The Sim Scrolls, ‘Board Boulevard’ by Ninahschmidt, and ‘Cranmore Residential’ also by Ninahschmidt. The latter of those is situated in a giant tree accessible only by a vine-draped wooden bridge.
One final lot is shown off before the end of the trailer, and that is ‘Starsong Lounge’ by CrackedKyber. This lounge is a hub for all local fairies to gather and relax after a long day of healing nature or getting up to mischievous activities.

With the arrival of fairies in the upcoming Sims 4 expansion pack Enchanted by Nature I figured I’d take a look back at some other life states from the past Sims games that have yet to return as Sims 4 life states. I’ll be talking about them not in order of game appearance, but in how likely I think it is that they will return. There’s only a handful, so let’s get started.
Table of Contents
Before I get started, I want to note that I’m not including Plumbots or Simbots in this list. We already have Servos, which were the OG robot life state and I don’t believe it’s necessary to have a bunch of different robotic life states in one game.
Bigfoot
Sims 2 Bon Voyage
The vacation expansion for Sims 2, Bon Voyage, added a peculiar life state, Bigfoot. Unlike most other life states, your sim was not able to turn into a bigfoot. You could, however, add a bigfoot sim to your household which made them fully playable. The hardest part about adding Bigfoot to your household was finding him. While on vacation, your sim needed to find a hidden treasure map that opened up the ability to visit their secret lot.
There wasn’t much to Bigfoot sims that set them apart from any other life state. The best thing about them was that they always have all skills and talent badges maxed out when they’re added to your family. It’s incredibly easy for them to be promoted at work because unlike other sims, they don’t require a certain number of friends each promotion.
Bigfoot is the occult I have the least amount of faith in returning as a Sims 4 life state. If there was ever a time to do it, it would have been in the Outdoor Retreat game pack. Instead, we got sims dressed in bear costumes. I really can’t see them making an appearance in Sims 4, but I’m ok with that. They don’t really have a selling point that makes them worthy of reappearing.
Mummy
Sims 3 World Adventures
World Adventures in Sims 3 added the mummy life state. These occult sims were found when exploring the sprawling tombs across the three vacation worlds the expansion pack added. Some players may not have even known this was a playable life state as they were mostly an enemy NPC made to cause havoc on your adventures and slow down your exploration of the tombs. You could either summon a mummy into your household or turn your sim into one by sleeping in a cursed sarcophagus.
Like Bigfoot, mummies didn’t have much that separated them from other sim types. Their biggest advantage was that they never needed to pee or sleep. They also had incredibly long lifespans compared to other life states. Aside from that, they had all the same needs as any other sim. Their biggest downfall was their speed. They moved at a glacial pace and would frequently be late for anything as they limped their way across the world.
I don’t foresee mummies being added as Sims 4 life states. The best chance of them being introduced would have been Jungle Adventure, but we got skeletons for that instead. Like with Bigfoot, I’m not too torn up over their absence because they didn’t have much that set them apart from regular sims.
Imaginary Friend
Sims 3 Generations
Sims 3 Generations added what is probably the most polarizing life state, imaginary friends. I personally don’t understand the disdain for them and find them to be one of the most unique and interesting life state concepts ever created. I was surprised to see how many players disliked them and found them annoying for one reason or another.
For those unaware, imaginary friends started out as a doll that is delivered to your house when a baby is born. If your toddler/child sim played with the doll enough it became sentient, but only in the eyes of the child. If your kid played with their sentient imaginary friend and you switched control to someone else in the household you’d no longer be able to see them. Only when you switched back to the child would they become visible again. These imaginary friends were great companions for your children growing along with them and always giving them a playmate.
In their initial sentient form, they were treated as NPCs and couldn’t be controlled aside from having your sim ask them to do things. There was a way, however, a way to make an imaginary friend real which added them to the household and made them fully controllable. Unfortunately, once an imaginary friend became real there was very little that differed between them and normal sims. They could switch back to their plushie form at will, they had a fun walk style, and they got excited when doing different mundane things for the first time, but that’s it.
Had they maintained some unique aspects even once turned human this life state would have been even better than it already was. Even so, they’re still one of the most unique life states because they’re not based on a traditional occult being like almost every other. Sadly, I don’t see these returning as Sims 4 life states. There are a few different packs they could have made a grand entrance, such as the Growing Together expansion pack or Parenthood game pack. A child-oriented pack that would include these seems quite unlikely at this point.
While genies appeared in both Sims and Sims 2, it wasn’t until Sims 3 that they were an actual playable life state. Previously, genies resided in a mysterious lamp that you could rub to summon them to make three wishes. That’s it, nothing more to them. They were NPCs relegated to that role without a way of making them playable or transforming your sim into one.
Sims 3 Showtime is when they were finally made into a fully realized life state. While you couldn’t turn your sim into a genie, you could release the NPC version from their lamp which added them to your household. You could then woohoo and try for a baby with the genie in the hopes of their offspring having all of the genie abilities for themselves.
Once a genie was freed from their lamp, they could no longer grant wishes. They still had plenty of other unique perks and abilities. A few of their powers included magically cleaning a sim or the lot, summoning food instantly, and mind controlling sims for a few hours which temporarily added the sim to the household.
I definitely see genies returning as Sims 4 life states at some point because they’ve been in every game previously in some capacity. Whether or not they’ll be a playable life state or just an NPC is completely up in the air.
For a life state that has made an appearance in every game aside from Sims 4, it still feels completely underutilized and underdeveloped. Honestly, pretty universally been more of a nuisance than an interesting concept.
In Livin’ Large zombie sims largely functioned identically to other sims. Aside from their greenish skin tone and complete lack of personality points they were essentially a regular sim.
In Sims 2 University (and later the later expansion packs FreeTime and Apartment Life) they also differed very little from regular sims. They had blue-gray skin, odd expressions, and a slow shamble. When I say slow, I mean slooooow. They took an annoyingly long amount of time to get anywhere as they only had one speed: glacial pace.
In Sims 3 Supernatural the zombie life state was a mostly temporary affair. You could purposely find a way to make your sim a zombie permanently, but honestly, I don’t know why you would. These zombies, again, were incredibly slow. This annoyance is exacerbated by the Sims 3 open world style.
Like the imaginary friends, the zombies in Sims 3 were quite a controversial add to the game. Each full moon random sims in town would turn into zombies for the night and attack your household trying to bite them and turn them into zombies as well. There was a specific item, the pea shooter, that was used to protect your household from the zombie spawn. The issue with this was that it was a pre-order exclusive for the Supernatural expansion pack. Not only that, but you needed to register your pack to the Sims 3 store to then be able to download the item.
With or without the pea shooter item, they were still just an utter annoyance in the game. There wasn’t a payoff to them because zombies had very little differences to them, none of which are positive.
I can absolutely see zombies returning as Sims 4 life states at some point. I’m actually quite surprised they haven’t already. One could argue the possessed sims from StrangerVille function largely the same as zombies, but I think there’s space for both of them to coexist in the game.
Future Sims 4 Life States
As far as I’m concerned, I’m not banging on the door of EA demanding any of these return as Sims 4 life states. I feel genies and zombies have the best chances since they’ve appeared in every other version. Imaginary friends are my personal favorite of the bunch, but I’m fine with having them stay as a unique Sims 3 memory. Bigfoot and mummies feel too niche and specific for the packs they were included in that I don’t see them being on the radar for a future inclusion.
Now that we’re finally getting fairies, I feel like all of the main occults have been added as Sims 4 life states at this point and everything else is just a bonus but not necessary.
So, there you have it. All of the missing life states in one list. What do you think? Do you see any of these making a return as Sims 4 life states any time soon?
Stay tuned to our coverage of the next Sims 4 expansion pack, Enchanted by Nature for more information about the newest life state, fairies.
I want a fanasty circus. (That’s not a typo. Fanasty should be a word). My circus is fun, colourful, almost family friendly. I think the circus is like that: fun, colourful, fantastical, and a bit dark around the edges. How do you visualize a circus for the Sims 4?
Clowns, a ringmaster, performing animals, jugglers, magicians, barkers running games and the midway, and sideshow freaks, all under the big top in the three ring circus of the Sims 4. I couldn’t find all of that. Circus (or zoo) animals turned up in the gallery. I really would have liked to find a juggling Sim. I don’t think kicking a soccer ball counts as juggling. Lots of fashion and builds but only a few circus related careers and challenges.
The Sims 4 Circus Content Spotlight: Mods, CC and Challenges
The CC, the Mods, the Cotton Candy Stuck in your Hair…
Where should my family of Sims start?
You may have tried the multiple infants and toddlers challenge. This family of Sims, has too many toddlers but they kind of look like short clowns and they act like them too. So they’re taking them all to the circus, to enjoy the show, of course. Oh dear, there were six little clowns just a second ago…
This family: Richard Sherkhan (adult) is somehow a sibling with all of them. Including Daisy Barnum, the young Mother of all the toddlers: Hallie, Bailey, Jack, Leon, Max, and… Well, maybe he’ll get a new name while he’s with the circus. I hope they feed him, he was a little hungry last time I looked.
What to Wear…
People don’t really dress up to go to a circus. You might end up being included in the show, like it or not. In some of these circuses I don’t think you would like it. My favourite outfit were the ringmasters, not the skimpy ones but the full formal attire. That will be one I keep, after the circus has moved on to another town.
Do you think of clowns first when you think of the circus? I don’t, and I don’t have any fear of them. But, a lot of people must love/hate clowns. There are a lot of clown fashions.
We do get our own sideshow freaks while playing the Sims, with or without mods. I still don’t know what caused this to happen to my infant. It goes away if I reset, or travel. The other is my all time favourite Sims meme. I’ve included the Creepy Dolly, a sideshow freak who escaped, met Vladislaus Straud and became a vampire.
What to Build
This time I didn’t make a circus house for my Sims. These screenshots are all from the lots I installed and tested out from the links below. My circus family (and the animals) walked through and tried everything functional in the lots.
Necrodog’s Fair Stuff was the easiest to load and use, by far. Plus it was mostly functional. I’ll keep that as a lot to add to my Sims, along parts from JPCope. I didn’t give a fair try to the Floating Circus. Yet. After all of these I was getting ‘circussed out’.
Old lot blueprints seem hit and miss for me. I don’t know how these will load for your hardware/ software. I’ve left notes with those I tried and failed with. Try the gallery in game, I had better luck with those. Most need a huge lot!
Create-A-Circus – Roll the dice to see what circus character you make: circus role, colours, and physical details. Options for a background story and occult types. A bigger challenge could be to keep your creation around, included in your storylines without adapting them to look “normal”.
Freak Show – How many clowns can you create? Each different, even including a clownfish. How far can your imagination (and your CC) stretch to create the clowns in this list? Save them for the next challenge…
The Circus Challenge – More like career development for circus people. You start as a regular person who gets a job at the circus. Then you build your circus: the performers then the entire lot itself. But its a run down circus, on a budget. The circus moves from town to town and puts on a show each week. You gradually update the lot and performers as you make money. You win when your lot is worth a million simoleans.
Creators Have Given Us a Glimpse of Fairies in Action!
The early-access embargo has lifted, and creators in the EA Creator Network have unveiled a steady stream of new information regarding Fairies, their abilities, interactions, and even the effect the lunar cycle has on them. Creators such as Elliandra, Lilsimsie, and James Turner have given us unique looks into this returning occult type. Let’s take a look!
Table of Contents
Becoming a Fairy
In Elliandra’s recent video ‘All About Fairies‘, we get an extensive deep dive into the Fairy occult type and everything they have to offer.
To become a Fairy, a Sim must first source themselves a ‘Fairy Seedling’. This can be sourced in a number of ways. Your Sim can ask an existing Fairy for one; they can be found in the world, earned by completing Innisgreen quests, or simply bought from the computer if your Sim is feeling lazy.
Once acquired your Sim can plant this seed in the ground or a planter, and it will summon Mother Nature, featured in the Gameplay Trailer. Your Sim will then need to ‘Ask for Mother Nature’s Charm’ and will receive a potion. Once the potion has been consumed, you will be told to swim in Moondrop Springs, which can be found in the Everdew neighbourhood.
Your Sim will then magically grow wings and turn into a Fairy. Your Sim now has unlocked new abilities, a change in their needs panel, and so much more to discover. Let’s check out everything new with the Emotional Power need!
Emotional Power
Fairies have different needs from human Sims, similar to Werewolves and Spellcasters. Fairies won’t have a hunger or bladder need; instead, they will have a new needs bar labelled ‘Emotional Force’. This will be drained every time your Fairy uses an ability such as flying, enchanting plants, or any other unique interaction. Don’t let this run down; otherwise, you may run into the new death type, ’emotional starvation’. This comes with an exclusive grave stone!
Much like other occult types (sorry, Aliens and Mermaids), Fairies have a unique set of skills that can be gained through earning Ability Points. These points can be gained by performing new Fairy interaction types, but at the risk of losing Emotional Power.
There are five levels to progress through as a Fairy, including:
Faint
Glowing
Glimmering
Brilliant
Radiant
Each level unlocks five or more abilities that you can trade in your Ability Points for. There are four categories to choose from, depending on what kind of Fairy your Sim wants to be. Manipulation, as the name suggests, is the darker path, allowing you to gain Emotional Power from performing Mean and Mischief interactions. The Emotion category focuses on positive interactions and giving back to the community. The nature path has a focus on all things nature, as the name suggests. Your Fairies will be able to enchant plants and connect with nature on a personal level. The final category is customisation, which includes options such as negating relationship changes and gaining Emotional Power from friendly interactions.
There are many new and unique interactions that Fairies can perform as opposed to their human counterparts. Some can be unlocked, but many are available from the get-go. Here are just a few examples of Fairy interactions:
As with many packs, Enchanted by Nature features a couple of new Aspirations, including one for Fairies. This acts more as a guide to playing as a Fairy, but may be useful for new players.
With this Aspiration, there is the first tier titled ‘Fairy Stories’ which has two levels with three goals each. A Fairy’s Journey will walk you through how to become a Fairy, and Embracing Fairy Life will show you the ropes when it comes to playing as a Fairy.
Once completed, your Sim will be given a choice of two options. These depend on your preferred playstyle; you can choose either ‘Harmonious Fairy Path’ or ‘Discordant Fairy Path’. As the names suggest, these two differ greatly and will affect how your Fairy Sims are perceived by others.
The Harmonious Fairy Path is all about curing Sims of ailments, a new feature introduced with Enchanted by Nature, and nurturing nature. The three tasks include:
Cure other Sims’ ailments 3 times with a cure or apply an ailment’s Fairy ability.
The Discordant Fairy path focuses on the evil side of things. Fairies that follow this path will be instructed to do all sorts of malicious actions, such as:
Use the cure or apply an ailment Fairy ability to inflict ailments on 3 Sims.
The Lunar Cycle was introduced to the Base Game in a patch before the release of The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack. With Werewolves, it applied bonuses and also affected how much rage they had. It also had minor effects on other occult types, and the same goes for Fairies.
With Fairies, the lunar cycle will have an effect on Emotional Force, either making it deplete more slowly or more quickly. Check out the full effects provided by Ellieandra below!
As the embargo on EA Game Changer’s early-access content, there is now a constant stream of new information and content to get players ready for the release of The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, which is due to release next Thursday, July 10th 2025. You can keep an eye on our release countdown, which will hit 0 the moment the pack is released.

The Early-Access Embrago Has Lifted, And We Have New Info on The Sims 4’s Latest World!
Yesterday, July 3rd 2025, the embargo lifted for The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, and there is no shortage of new information and videos provided by EA Game Changers. As with many packs, the piece of information most speculated on has been the lot count and lot sizes. The standard for worlds has been around 13/14 lots, and thanks to creators such as AvelineYT and EnglishSimmer, we can confirm that the lot count for Innisgreen sits at 14!
Thanks to AvelineSims over on Twitter/X, we have our first look at the lot sizes in Innisgreen. With a total of 14 lots, we have the largest being a 64×64 residential lot in Sprucederry Grove, and the smallest being the 20×20 residential lot situated in a giant tree in Everdew.
The new world of Innisgreen comes with three neighbourhoods: Everdew, Sprucederry Grove, and The Coast of Adhmor. Thanks to the creators, we’ve had our first look at the neighbourhood descriptions and a glimpse at the landmarks these hoods have to offer. Let’s take a look
Home of the Fairy Council, Everdew is the epicentre of fairy life where fairies can let it all hang out. Innisgreen’s most enchanted neighbourhood shimmers with a patina of Magic over all its natural beauty.
Spruce Derry Grove is a Haven for bohemian and nature-loving Sims who love gardening, living off the land, and mastering the Apothecary Skill. Nature enthusiasts flock here to forage among the picturesque trees and bathe in the tranquil stream. The neighbourhood takes its name from the local Legend, Spruce Almighty, the community’s loving Garden Pal.
A bustling seaside village filled with lore and history, the Coast of Adhmor serves as a tourist hotspot due to its colourful architecture, iconic landmarks, and coastal views.

Innisgreen is Full of Lore, War, and Returning Fan Favourites!
It seems that not a day goes by without a new piece of information about the upcoming Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack. Today, the Sims Team’s latest article delves deep into the lore behind the new (and returning) Sims we will be meeting in Innisgreen on July 10th. Check out the full story below and find out about all the new Sims in Innisgreen!
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Blog: New Sims in Innisgreen
Meet the Sims of Innisgreen from Enchanted by Nature
As Sims arrive and settle into the lush and charming world of Innisgreen, they’ll encounter many interesting beings along the way. From fairies buzzing about to ramblers offering necessary tidbits, this coastal land grows in abundance from an enchanted legacy with a dark past.
So let’s dig deep down into its roots and meet some of the Sims that make Innisgreen the perfect place to embrace your natural side.
The Great, Green Love of Innisgreen
Creator of all that is wonderful and awesome in the natural world (including her beloved fairies!), Mother Nature watches over Innisgreen and all that call it home. Although a gentle guardian that provides guidance and inspiration to any Sim that seeks it, her powers are as mighty as they come.
A dark time ago, she found herself in a great conflict known as The Gnome Wars, with a result that has shaped Innisgreen forever. Like many wars before, it sparked from love, between Mother Nature and Spruce Almighty.
Spruce was a gift to Mother Nature from nature itself, sprouting in her very own garden. Their love for Mother Nature lives deep in their roots and spreads to each needle, and like Mother Nature, they’ve dedicated their life to protecting the wonders of the natural world. Spruce, however, is not all-powerful like their eventual wife, but powerful nonetheless–they created the Gnomes, afterall. Devoted to their creator, the Gnomes have a special, but troubling bond with Spruce.
The Gnome Wars began when non-magical Sims of Innisgreen began developing technology that separated them from this land of natural wonder. This way of living enraged Spruce, leading to their loyal Gnomes attacking these Sims, in Spruce’s honor, and attempting to drive them out. The Fairies of the land stepped in to defend the non-magical community, eventually leading to Mother Nature herself getting involved and putting an end to the aggression. Spruce agreed to not engage in any further conflict, while the Gnomes were rendered inanimate as their punishment, except when Fairy magic temporarily permits them to animate once again.
The relationship between Mother Nature and Spruce Almighty is complicated, lingering in the very soil of Innisgreen today. Although divorced, Spruce still pines for Mother Nature’s warm embrace, never losing hope to one day rekindle their lost love.
Gnomes on the other hand can be quite simple, just ask resident “Gnome Enthusiast” Glen Nhoam. He’ll gladly sell you a gnome, or tell you how they can help your garden grow, or ask you to awaken the Great Gnome in Town Square. He really does Gnome-it-all.
Your Favorite Sprucederry Grove Couple
Meet Elric DeMuray and Todd Attenberry. Elric lives a simple, yet complicated life. Born a fairy, he hasn’t always embraced his magical nature. In fact, he often wonders about a life without his whimsical gifts and need for emotional fuel. Luckily he has Todd to keep him balanced.
Todd, who you may remember as “Apothecary Todd” from The Sims: Makin’ Magic, is the owner of his own Apothecary Stall–of course–and purveyor of many goods. He spends his days at the market doling out cures and elixirs, trading various ingredients, and even sending an occasional Sim out on a quest or two.
Despite Elric’s “winged affliction,” the two share a deep love for the natural world. They can often be found mucking about in their harvestables or taking a snooze in the lush grass. Todd–the more diligent of the two–always finds the perfect ingredients for his apothecary crafting. No matter what you need, Todd is often the Sim to see.
Drama Brews In Everdew
Welcome to a house of refuge with a dusting of rogue behavior from its new guest! This charming girl’s girl home is brimming with excitement ever since Nadya Kishka, a fairy friend, let “runaway” daughter Iris Lapido, crash with her. Why, you ask? Well, what started off as two besties under one roof, may be morphing into a flirtatious relationship. This home flutters with drama and magic, making it a lot of fun for these two rebellious ladies!
Stifled by her parent’s (Flora and Ayo Lapido) tech-heavy home, Iris moved into the enchanted forest of Everdew to explore a life in nature. She keeps her past a secret, with the hope that magic can one day write the future of her dreams.
Enter Nadya. Known for being devious with a sprinkle of good, she is a fashionably fuchsia fairy and supportive best friend to Iris. Between her ex Joe Trader and the Fairy Council Liaison, Nadya is just happy to be in the company of someone as fun as her.
Speaking of, say Sul Sul to Nadya’s former lover, Joe Trader, the Grove’s local tradesman. Joe pals around town offering quests and presenting trades, with goods he may or may not have stolen. Forming a bond with Joe may come with its problems, or even Ailments, but the reward may be sweeter than expected. Find out for yourself!
A Fairy Family With Fairy Problems
The Summerdreams–a fairy family–are currently tending to a bit of a rough patch in the garden of life. Titania, wife and mother, wants to be a free-spirit untethered to this realm of domesticity, while husband Oberon has high hopes for his family and their space in the community. No matter how steamy their love is, it seems that their marriage is in need of some serious watering.
Despite their troubles, they both deeply love their daughter, Mara. Titania enjoys teaching her how to forage in the woods, and Oberon allows her to venture wherever she pleases, instilling his love of nature within her.
Mara loves her family, home and all of the magic that swirls around her. She is counting down the days until she earns her wings. She’s adventurous, curious and full of aspirations; she often dreams about becoming the Queen of all fairies one day, should fairy society ever adopt a matriarchy.
Some Others You May Run or Fly Into
Care Ren, a liaison for the Fairy Council and member of the welcoming committee to Innisgreen, may be one of the first you encounter. She may look intimidating, with her blonde and sharp suits, but stay on her good sides and you’ll reap the rewards. You can start by offering her a grilled cheese.
It’ll be your pleasure to meet Zhaleh Amani, a wise elder fairy respected by all in the community. She can be found buzzing about in the forest looking for Sims to send out on quests.
From today’s article, it seems as though we are seeing the return of two Sims from previous entries in the franchise. Todd Attenbury, also known as Apothecary Todd, was last seen in The Sims Makin’ Magic Expansion Pack way back in 2003. In Innisgreen, he is found living with his partner Elric DeMuray, another win for the gays!
Also returning is the Summerdream family, last seen living in Veronaville in The Sims 2. This magical (and rather dramatic) family were inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, a play about conflicting lovers and mischievous fairies. It seems their story has been changed a little in the latest announcement, as Titania and Oberon originally had two children, Puck and Bottom. This time around, they have a new daughter named Mara, a character not seen in the original play.
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack is due to release next Thursday, July 10th! You can keep up to date with our live countdown that will hit 0 the moment the pack launches for PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.
The pack will retail for $39.99 or your local equivalent. If you purchase through August 21st 2025, you will receive the Fairy Garden Digital Content, which includes three exclusive items!

A Full Walkthrough to Earning Rewards in The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling Event Week 2!
We are officially in the second week of the latest live event for The Sims 4! As with last week’s guide, I will be completing this event with Bob and Eliza Pancakes on their couples retreat in the forests of Copperdale. If you haven’t completed last week’s quests, you can check out our full guide and overview of the rewards here!
Let’s dive into week 2 of The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling!
Table of Contents
‘Enigma of the Cove’ Quest Steps
Upon loading into your save (and presuming you completed Week 1’s quests), you will be greeted by a pop-up informing you of the new quest, ‘Enigma of the Cove’.
The whispers on the wind draw you to a hidden cove, where a peculiar tree stands, its branches dancing in the breeze. Could the secrets you seek be rooted here?
As nature’s enigma deepend, the wind seems to guide you toward revelations waiting beneath the stars.
Enigma of the Cove – Quest
After clicking ‘OK’, you will be given 3 new tasks to complete. The first task on the list is ‘Have a Sim Spend Time Outdoors’, so I had Bob and Eliza have dinner around the campfire.
My other two tasks were to ‘Travel to Foundry Cove’ and ‘Buy a Telescope on a Home Lot’. I decided to start with the latter as the sun was setting. After purchasing the telescope, I received the task ‘Use the Telescope to Look for Signs’. To complete this, I clicked my newly purchased telescope and chose the new interaction.
After completing this, I received a notification that read:
A deep, rumbling voice seems to rise from the earth itself – Tread carefully, for some secrets are deeply buried for a reason. The path ahead may lead to unforseen consequences. Heed the warnings of the land.
Notification – Enigma of the Cove
I then received a new optional task (These can only be completed if you own the required pack; however, you do not receive any bonus for completing it). The task was to adopt a dog – Bob and Eliza’s marriage is struggling enough, a dog won’t help, so I decided to skip this and instead send Bob to Foundry Cove in Willow Creek the next morning.
I was then tasked to ‘Dig Up Some Rocks’. Rock formations can be found by the river’s edge. If no rocks spawn, try travelling to Magnolia Blossom Park as they usually spawn there in abundance.
You will then be tasked with a slightly cryptic task. ‘View Mysterious Tree’ references the tree in Foundry Cove. This tree can be found between the Crick Cabana and Daisy Hovel lots.
Finishing this task will signal the end of the ‘Enigma of the Cove’ quest. You will be greeted with a pop-up box and rewarded with Event Points that can be used to redeem the latest rewards.
The tree holds it’s own mysteries, but Foundry Cove is not the final destination. Through the ground’s rumble warns of hidden dangers, the whispers urge you onward, encouraging you to trust the wind.
Enigma of the Cove
‘The Comfort of Nature’ Quest Steps
Upon completion of the ‘Enigma of the Cove’ questline, you will be greeted by the next quest, ‘The Comfort of Nature’!
The whsipers dance around you, promising comfort and serenity in nature’s embrace.
As the wind guides on, it hints at the harmony found in creating and connecting with the world around you.
Embrace the elements, and let the soothing call of the wild lead you to unexpected tranquility.
The Comfort of Nature
The first objective I chose to follow required me to claim the ‘Reclaimed Wooden Dining Chair’ in the rewards store. After claiming it, I was able to build it on the woodworking bench after levelling up to level 3 of the handiness skill! Do this twice to complete the task.
The next task to ‘Buy a Hot Tub on a Home Lot’, is simple enough. I chose to place the hot tub from the For Rent Expansion Pack. The following task will require you to ‘Soak in a Hot Tub Using the Flowing Fronds Swimwear’. The swimwear mentioned can be unlocked in the rewards store and then added to your Sim in CAS.
The next task that isn’t optional requires your Sim to complete one level of a Nature Aspiration. You can change your current Aspiration by opening the Aspiration tab, selecting ‘Select New Aspiration’ on the star-shaped button, and choosing any Aspiration in the category. Completing this task will trigger the end of the quest.
The outdoors offers a soothing embrace, drawing your Sim closer to nature’s secrets. The journey is far from over.
The Comfort of Nature Quest Ending
After completion don’t forget to head to the Event Rewards Store to claim your new items!
Week 2 Rewards
As with every week, players will be able to redeem their event points in the rewards screen. This week sees a new dish, a craftable chair, some new swimwear outfits, and another copy of Touch Grass Weekly!
Small Rewards
When all rewards are claimed, your current Sim will be gifted a copy of Touch Grass Weekly Issue #2, the Instant Fun potion that refills the fun need, and Handiness Vol 2: Sparks are Nature’s Kisses, straight to their inventory!
Reclaimed Wood Dining Chair
The latest addition to the woodworking table is the Reclaimed Wood Dining Table. It comes in 12 new swatches and can either be bought via the Build-Buy catalogue or crafted by Sims using any available woodworking table.
Flower Fronds Swimwear
This new swimsuit set can be found in Create-A-Sim under both Male and Female frames after being claimed in the store!
Foraged Feast
This new meal, The Foraged Feast, is a brand new recipe that can be cooked on a stove and requires level 2 of the cooking skill. If you have the simple living lot trait that came with the Cottage Living Expansion Pack, then your Sims will require any type of mushroom to cook it. It comes in the usual 3 sizes of dish: single for §13, family size for §24, and party size for §52. The price will be §0 if your Sim has a mushroom in their inventory or refrigerator.
Bonus: 100 Satisfaction Points
Like with last week’s §5000 simoleons, we get 100 satisfaction points rewarded to our active Sim at the time of claiming the reward.
That’s all for this week, but make sure to check back next week for a full walkthrough of Week 3 of the Nature’s Calling event!
Did you enjoy this week’s event? Which reward are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to Sims Community for all updates regarding Live Events in The Sims 4!
Wouldn’t be a big Sims 4 Update release without something breaking, right?
Yesterday The Sims Team surprised us all with a new Game Patch for The Sims 4. Which introduced brand new Glass Walls, Collections UI Revamp, Plants on Roofs and other hidden features like new Skin Effects and Gardening additions. However, new Sims 4 issues and glitches have also been spotted.
Food plates and leftovers can no longer be dragged to the trash bins. The whiteboards from Businesses & Hobbies can’t be placed, and pregnancy tests are obselete. Let’s see what are the main concerns and top reported issues by the community since the July 1st, 2025 Patch:
The Sims 4 Issues and Glitches: July 1st Patch
Hobby Whiteboard is Vanished and can’t be placed
The issue was first brought to attention by Shibuya_2508 on EA Forums. Who reports that the Whiteboard object from Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Expansion vanished from their lot and cannot be re-placed again.
Forum user simlindsims has further playtested this Sims 4 issue and discovered the following:
They were automatically deleted from my original save
I have tried on both residential and business lots.
My game currently has no mods
I have tried to do this in both an existing save file and a new, vanilla file
I have repaired my game
– simlindsims on EA Forums
The issue has currently been upvoted by more than 100 players on the EA forum thread, with the glitch happening across Desktop and Console platforms.
No shortcuts to clean dishes. At least for a while. The latest patch has brought a peculiar issue where players can’t drag food plates, leftovers, trash and even baby diapers to the Trash Bin / Sink. The only way to clean up after yourself, at least for now, is by instructing your Sim to do it.
Over 350 players have upvoted this issue on the first EA forum report thread, with the issue being present for all platforms and vanilla / modded games.
And if you were wondering if this Sims 4 Issue persists with all Trash Bins – it does.
Both the Businesses & Hobbies Whiteboard Object and Drag to Trash issues have already been marked as under investigation by EA.
No Pregnancy Test to Take
Your Sims might’ve successfully tried for a baby. But after the latest Game Patch there’s just no way of finding out until the first trimester. The new Sims 4 issue was first spotted by tx_boxy, with currently 10 upvotes on the thread.
So My sim is ready for a baby. But after they tried… when I wanted to see if she actually got pregnant or not. No options for any tests. I don’t use any mods or cc…
– tx_boxy on EA Forums
I have the same problem since yesterday, and I suspect pregnancies get reset (so the Sim is no longer pregnant) if I switch households and the pregnancy hasn’t yet been confirmed ‘naturally’. It’s very frustratring, since I’m finally successfully try rotational play and both Sims aren’t pregnant yet because I switch before 24 hrs have passed. Hope it’ll get fixed soon!
I’m also having the same problem with two different sims. They each tried for baby with their partners twice and both times when I clicked on the toilet there was no option to take a pregnancy test.
More information is needed regarding circumstances to when and why this specific Sims 4 Issue occurs. Make sure you share your experience in the linked thread!
Have you experienced other Sims 4 Issues and glitches in your game? You can report your experience and upvote others on the official Sims 4 Bug Reports Thread.
We’ll make sure to update this article with new information as they come to surface. Stay tuned on Sims Community for the latest updates on The Sims 4!
