A Guide To The Nature Press in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

Let’s Take A Look At The New Nature Press!

The Nature Press seems to have been pushed to the sidelines during the release of The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, and sure, it’s not the main focus of the pack, but it does bring an extensive new hobby to the game! First revealed in the Build-Buy trailer for Enchanted by Nature, the nature press allows Sims to take flowers, herbs, and vegetables and press them to create new decorative items. Let’s take a look at everything you can create!

Making Prints and Candles

To make Prints or Candles you must first purchase the Nature Press from the Build-Buy Catalogue. You can place the Nature Press either on the floor or at a table/desk and get to work!

Screenshot 2025 07 12 15 08 15

Once placed the Nature Press has a number of options. Before crafting you will need some ingredients, and luckily you can purchase them straight from the Nature Press by clicking ‘Purchase Ingredients…’.

You can also put the Nature Press in your inventory incase you want to take your hobby to the park, the wilderness, to work, or on vacation to Granite Falls.

With the Life & Death Expansion Pack installed the object, like many others, is heirloom eligable.

Once you have the required ingredients, your Sim is ready to begin their new hobby of making pressings of their findings. The new Natural Living skill and foraging can be especially useful as you can forage for ingredients.

Screenshot 2025 07 12 15 25 07

Enchanted prints and candles can be created by the addition of 1 pile of Fairy Dust. Enchanted items can emit emotional auras, and can sway a Sims mood when viewed. Non-Fairy Sims can create enchanted items, however only Fairies will reap the reward; a boost in their Fairy experienece level! When sold, enchanted items created with the Nature Press will be worth more than non-enchanted items.

Business Opportunities

Unfortunatley the Nature Press isn’t featured among the new Business Activities for those with The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, however that does not mean you can’t make a quick buck from your latest creations.

If you own The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting your Sim can list the crafted prints or candles on Plopsy, much like Knitted items, Cross-stitch items, and more.

Screenshot 2025 07 12 16 20 06

Players with any packs that include a selling table (City Living, Jungle Adventure, Eco Lifestyle, Home Chef Hustle, Crystal Creations, Businesses & Hobbies) can stock their tables with Nature Press candles and mark them up to make a profit. You can also set them for sale in Retail Stores from Get To Work, or Small Business Lots from Businesses & Hobbies.

Natural Living Skill in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

The Natural Living Skill in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature is changing the fabric of The Sims as we know it.

The concept of The Sims as a whole started as a mere home-building and decorating simulator. It wasn’t until later in the design process that it became the life simulation that we know and love. Ever since its release, the ideology and gameplay loop throughout the entire series of The Sims has been creating a family, building a house, and either improving on that home or moving to a larger one as they reach success in their lives.

Enchanted by Nature turns that entire philosophy on its head by introducing the concept of the nomadic life. No longer does a sim need four walls and a roof to thrive and live their best life. They don’t even need furniture to fulfil their needs. The phrase “this house is a home” is no longer relevant because Sims can do just fine, truly living off the land.

Natural Living Skill in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

But how does the Natural Living Skill in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature work? Here is your one-stop guide for wilderness living.

Natural Living Skill in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Guide

Hunger

Sim foraging

It’s always been possible to fulfil a Sim’s hunger need without a kitchen, but with the Natural Living Skill in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, it has become easier than ever. The concept of foraging has essentially been in the game previously by way of growing or collecting different fruits, vegetables, and the like.

Sim eating a raw fish

Enchanted by Nature takes this to new heights by allowing your sim to eat a more varied diet, such as frogs and fish; no cooking required. Yes, your Sims can now eat raw fish. And I’m not talking about the sushi variety.

Energy

If a sim is tired, they should sleep. Anywhere. It doesn’t matter. They can now sleep on the floor, no sleeping bag required. They can sleep on the ground outside without any kind of protection or comfort. Anywhere a sim can fit, they can sleep.

Sim sleeping on the ground

As expected, it takes a lot longer for a sim’s energy needs to increase while sleeping on the ground. Their hygiene need will also steadily drop throughout their slumber. Luckily, as they improve their Natural Living Skill, the speed at which their energy rises will increase, and the speed at which their hygiene drops will decrease. Eventually, they will be perfectly content with sleeping on the ground outside as if it were the most comfortable mattress in existence.

Bladder

Please, don’t try this at home. There is potential for legal action to be taken against you for urinating or defecating outside. That said, your Sims are now free to go wherever, whenever. Sims could relieve themselves in bushes for a while now, but the Natural Living Skill changes the game. Once you reach level 2 of the skill, your Sims can summon a bush to use. I don’t know where it comes from. I don’t know where it goes. I also don’t think I want to know.

Sim peeing in a bush

But wow, is it convenient.

As I’m sure everyone can imagine, using a bush for such intimate reasons will lead to a loss of hygiene. This drop decreases as your Natural Living Skill increases.

Hygiene

If you see water, you can bathe. That’s essentially how it feels living naturally in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, thanks to the Natural Living Skill. If water is shallow enough for a sim to wade into, they can use that water to bathe. Rivers, oceans, ponds, and lakes. Any water is clean enough water.

Sim bathing in a pond

For those more interested in using indoor plumbing without owning it themselves, Sims are now able to take sponge baths in public restrooms. Not my cup of tea, but I’m sure some will appreciate it. Maybe not the onlookers, though.

Note: When it says public restrooms, it means the rabbithole versions found throughout the worlds, not bathrooms on public lots, sadly.

Bathing in these ways starts out with a slow rate of hygiene increase as well as the occasional uncomfortable moodlet, but this will be second nature (no pun intended) to Sims as they increase their Natural Living Skill, making it a nicer experience overall.

Social

Living naturally in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature might feel like a solitary experience for some. But it doesn’t have to be. There are friends to be found around every corner. If a sim is feeling lonely and in need of some socialization they can start socializing with nature. This ability does not unlock until level 5 of the Natural Living Skill, so it will take some time to develop.

Sim talking to a plant

As with every other need, this starts out with a low rate of increase, but it improves over time as the skill is developed.

Fun

There are plenty of ways to have fun in nature, even without living naturally in Sims 4. Enchanted by Nature essentially makes everything you do outdoors increase the fun need. As soon as you start developing the Natural Living Skill, your Sims will gain fun need by eating harvestables, no matter if they grew them or foraged for them. Eventually, they will increase their fun need by bathing outdoors.

Sim meditating

One of the best ways to increase the fun need is unlocked later in the skill. At level 7, Sims are able to meditate in nature. This not only increases their fun need, but it also helps with their natural balance as well. If your Sims are feeling the negative side of life’s balance, be sure to meditate. That will put you on the up and up.

Natural Living Skill Levels

Skill LevelBenefits Unlocked
1Can sleep on the ground indoors and outdoors but will gain Energy slowly and lose Hygiene until they grow more skillful. Can also bathe in any outdoor water that’s shallow enough to wade in, including ponds, rivers, and ocean shorelines. In addition, they can also take a sponge bath in a public restroom and the Fairy Hub located in Everdew. Eating harvestable foods will help them gain a small amount of fun.
2Sim can now directly summon a Privy Bush outdoors for Bladder Relief, and gain Hunger by gulping down any fish they have acquired–no cooking involved! They can also now intentionally Forage for Food.
3Sim can now intentionally Forage for Plants! Eating harvestable foods will also better satisfy their Hunger. Sleeping on the ground, outdoors and indoors, is a little more restful and won’t reduce their Hygiene as quickly.
4When using the Privy Bush, sim stays cleaner and loses less Hygiene. Sim finds bathing in natural water kind of fun, even if a bit uncomfortable at times. Napping on benches is also a little nicer than before!
5Sim can now eat frogs caught in the wild and intentionally Forage for Collectibles. They can Talk to Nature itself to slowly recover their Social Needs outdoors. They have also overcome the discomfort of bathing in natural water (and public restroom sponge baths!) They’ll get cleaner faster and feel better in the process.
6Sim is no longer affected by extreme heat or cold, and has no problem sleeping or bathing outdoors in rain or snow. Sleeping on the ground may even give a boost to sim’s balance! They will also fill more Hunger when gulping down raw fish, with less chance of getting the Raw Rumble Moodlet.
7Using a Privy Bush no longer affects their Hygiene at all, and feasting on harvestable foods is Fun! Sim can now also Meditate in Nature. It’s kind of fun but will take a bit more skill to get the hang of.
8Sim will satisfy much more Hunger from eating raw Fish as well as Harvestable foods (whether gained by Foraging, Gardening, or otherwise.)
9Frogs satisfy extra Hunger, while Talking to Nature fills much greater Social Need. Sim has also figured out Meditating in Nature, finding it not only enjoyable but also restorative to her Balance.
10Sim can clean up very quickly in wadable waters, sleeping on the ground has even greater chance to restore some Balance, and eating harvestable foods now satisfies a large amount of Hunger. Sim now has dramatically lowered chances of getting Fear of the Dark simply from being outdoors at night, and Fear of Swimming from minor swimming incidents.

Cure What Ails You with The Apothecary Skill in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature brings back the Apothecary Skill, an infamous skill used to craft Elixirs, both good and bad.

Magic is all about balance, and The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature keeps this trope alive. Fairy magic brings more wonder and fantasy to the Sims world, but it isn’t without the danger of Ailments. Don’t worry, though! With the Apothecary Skill, your Sim can craft Cures for Ailments, Elixirs, and Luck Charms to combat these, ensure your Sim is as good as new, and even cause a little mayhem.

The Apothecary Skill The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, Emotion Stone

A Breakdown of The Apothecary Skill

Like other skills in The Sims 4, the Apothecary Skill can be levelled up in several different ways. There are three Skill Books your Sim can read to increase their Skill level, and your Sim can use a Computer to Research Cures & Elixirs for a Skill boost. Most importantly, aspiring apothecaries will need to use a Leafy Ledge Apothecary Table to study and craft cures. The Mystical Personality Trait will also give your Sim a boost when it comes to levelling up their Skill.

The Apothecary Skill The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, Read

Aside from these basics, each level introduces a new way to level up your Sim’s crafting abilities.

The Apothecary Skill Level 1

Embark on your Sim’s new journey by using an Apothecary Table to Study Apothecary Cures and unlock the Apothecary Skill.

The Apothecary Skill Level 2

As a fledgling apothecary, your Sim can Forage for Apothecary Ingredients by clicking on the ground (must be dirt, grass, or sand). Sims at this level can also craft the Sonic Sinuses, Greenie Meanie, Luck Magnet, Emotional Void, and Gnome Lure Ailment Cures at an Apothecary table.

This level also unlocks the Apothecary Study Set in Buy Mode.

The Apothecary Skill Level 3

At this level, your Sim can now use the Enthuse about Crafting Elixirs Social Interaction with The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. They can also use the Emotion Potions, Enhanced Eyes, and Calming Draught Elixir recipes.

The Apothecary Skill Level 4

The fourth skill level unlocks the ability for your Apothecary Sim to craft the Noxious Gas and Hooked on Nature Elixirs.

The Apothecary Skill Level 5

At halfway through The Apothecary Skill levels, your Sim now has more resistance to smells and can purchase The Apothecarist’s Tabletop Organizer. Your Sim also unlocks the A Wee Drink and Momentary Happiness Elixir recipes.

This level also unlocks the Apothecarist’s Tabletop Organizer in Buy Mode.

The Apothecary Skill Level 6

This skill level unlocks the ability to use the Brag about Apothecary Expertise Social Interaction, plus your Sim can now Craft the Emotion Stone and Balanced Mind Elixir at the Apothecary Table.

The Apothecary Skill The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, Craft the Emotion Stone

The Apothecary Skill Level 7

Lucky Skill level 7 gives your Sim the ability to craft the Lucky Liquid Elixir and Luck Charms, which Sims can keep in their inventory to sway their Luck. These Luck Charms will emit a red or green glow around the object and give Sims Good or Bad Luck, but will expire after two days. Your Sim can reactivate these Luck Charms by clicking the item in their inventory and selecting the Rekindle with Fairy Dust interaction.

Emotion Potions can also be crafted at a Reduced Cost at this Skill level. These potions can be consumed or used for other Elixirs.

The Apothecary Skill Level 8

Reaching level eight unlocks the ability to craft the Need Stop Elixir at an Apothecary Table. This Elixir will stop a Sim’s Needs from decreasing for 24 hours.

The Apothecary Skill The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, Crafting

The Apothecary Skill Level 9

At this penultimate Apothecary Skill level, your Sim is no longer affected by smells or fumes wafting from the Apothecary table. They also unlock the Fearless and Supernatural Shield recipes.

The Apothecary Skill Level 10

Sims who master this Skill can Purchase Advanced Ingredients at Apothecary Tables and craft Emotion Potions at a Reduced Cost. These Sims also unlock the Holistic Cure and Celestial Protection Elixir recipes, plus they can now convert any Emotion Potion to a different emotion!

Ailments & Their Cures

Ailments are similar to sicknesses, but with a wider variety of effects. Your Sim can contract an Ailment by becoming Very Imbalanced, interacting with other Sims with Ailments, using a toilet off of your home lot, being cursed by a Fairy, or just waking up on the wrong side of the bed.

The Apothecary Skill The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, Gnome Lure Ailment

Ailments can be cured by crafting or purchasing an Elixir, visiting a Naturopath for 1,500 Simoleons by clicking on your Sim, or asking a friendly Fairy to magically remove it! The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature has eight possible Ailments for your Sim to come across. Learn more about each Ailment and its Cures below.

Other Benefits for Apothecaries

Being a well-educated Apothecary in The Sims 4 can be helpful in other ways as well! If your Sim is interested in holistic healing through the Naturopath Career or following the Elixir Enthusiast Aspiration path, then they will need to focus on learning this Skill in order to succeed.

If your Sim isn’t interested in going down the career route, they can sell their crafts throughout the world with the Come and Get it Street Store Table or use it to Start a Yard Sale on their home lot, or use The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack to open up your very own Miracle Elixir Shop!

All Cross-Pack Features In The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

Here is Every Cross-Pack Feature We Have Discovered in Enchanted by Nature!

As with many Expansion Pack releases, The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature comes with a host of new cross-pack features for those who play with other Stuff, Game, and Expansion Packs. Before release, Maxis confirmed several cross-pack features, including how Fairies interact with other occults and exclusive elixirs that can be crafted to ‘cure’ other occult types. Let’s take a look at some of the new, smaller cross-pack features in Enchanted by Nature!

sims 4 enchanted by nature gameplay trailer screen 178

Natural Living – Living Off-Lot

One of the major new features introduced with Enchanted by Nature is the Natural Living Skill. This skill can be developed by sleeping on the ground, foraging for food, and bathing in open waters.
With 29 residential and vacation worlds, Maxis would have missed a trick by making Natural Living exclusive to Innisgreen. Thankfully, any world can be used to forage for items, and any wadeable body of water can be used to fill your Sims’ hygiene needs.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 15 51 05

Items found by foraging can vary depending on which world you are in. For example, Sims foraging in Granite Falls are more likely to find Basil and Strawberry, and may even find herbs used for the Herbal Remedies, a feature of The Sims 4 Cottage Living.
Alongside consumables, Sims may also discover crystals, flowers, and MySims Trophies, alongside other collectables in-game. You can find our full guide on collectables here!

Screenshot 2025 07 11 14 51 33

Currently, one of the only ways to bathe naturally in The Sims 4 is at the waterfall in Mua Pel’am, a neighbourhood found in Sulani, the world that shipped with The Sims 4 Island Living. With Enchanted by Nature Sims can now bathe in any body of water that is currently swimmable. Here is a full list of spots your Sims can now bathe in:

  • Sulani (All Neighbourhoods)
  • Britechester (Gibbs Hill)
  • Mt Komorebi (Wakaba)
  • Henford-on-Bagley (All Neighbourhoods)
  • Tartosa (All Neighbourhoods)
  • Moonwood Mill
  • Copperdale (Plumbite Cove)
  • Chestnut Ridge (Galloping Gulch)
  • Tomarang (Koh Sahpa)
  • Ciudad Enamorada (Vista Hermosa)
  • Ravenwood (Whispering Glenn, Mourningvale)
  • Nordhaven (All Neighbourhoods)

Travel to Hidden Worlds

In Innisgreen’s new neighbourhood of Everdew, you can find a mysterious glowing rock. This rock allows you to travel to hidden worlds available in The Sims 4. Both Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto from the Base Game can be accessed here without needing to go through the pre-requisite tasks to access them.

Screenshot 2025 07 10 22 19 48

Players with The Sims 4 Get to Work will be able to take their Sims from Innisgreen to Sixam in the blink of an eye. Without Enchanted by Nature installed, Sixam can only be accessed by constructing the ‘Electroflux Wormhole Generator’ and upgrading it at level 10 of the Scientist career. It can also be accessed by constructing a rocket ship and adding the ‘Wormhole Generator’ once level 10 of the Rocket Science skill has been reached.

Players who own The Sims 4 Realm of Magic will be familiar with The Magic Realm, the hidden world belonging to Spellcasters. Normally, this can be accessed via the portal in Glimmerbrook or by using the Glimmer Stone found in Spellcaster’s inventory. By using the rock in Innisgreen, non-Spellcaster Sims can visit whenever they like. Be careful, however, Fairies are not particularly kind to Spellcasters as they believe their magic is unnatural.

Mt Komorebi peak can be reached by planning a Mountain Excursion in the world of Mt Komorebi with The Sims 4 Snowy Escape. With the rock in Everdew, Sims can instantly teleport to the peak of Mount Komorebi, if cold weather is your Fairies’ preferred climate.

Nurturing Nature – Helping Animals

There are a multitude of abilities you can unlock as a Fairy as you make your way through the five ranks of the Fairy skill tree. One of these abilities is called ‘Nurture Nature’, which can be purchased for 1 Ability Point at level 1 of the skill tree. This ability will allow you to heal suffering plants and animals at the cost of a small amount of Emotional Force.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 15 10 02

With the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack, Fairies with the Nurture Nature ability will be able to heal both Cats and Dogs of sickness and refill their needs. Depending on whether or not you have purchased the ‘Warm Force Gain’, Fairies will be able to receive emotional force from positive interactions with both Cats and Dogs.

Other animals, such as Chickens, Cows, and Llamas in The Sims 4 Cottage Living, can also be affected by the Nurture Nature interaction, and their needs will also be filled when it is used on them.
Horses, mini Goats, and Sheep in the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack can also reap the rewards of this ability.

New Craftables – Plant Pottery

The last Expansion Pack, The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies, introduced pottery and the Pottery skill to the game. With the pottery wheel and kiln, your Sims can craft two pots for potted plants, the Ceramic Tabletop Plant Pot and the Terrasphere Tabletop Plant Pot.

After your Sims have moulded the pots on the pottery wheel, they can then transfer the pot to the kiln and choose to glaze them with 12 different options. These plant pots can then be sold using the shop displays from Businesses & Hobbies! Broken pottery can be repaired using the pottery wheel, and the kintsugi designs can be applied to the new plant pots.

New Business Opportunities

Alongside pottery, The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies allowed our Sims to open up custom business types separate from the retail stores from Get to Work. Your Sims can select up to 5 business activities they wish for customers to do. Enchanted by Nature adds two new opportunities to the list:

  • Use Fairy Abilities
  • Craft Apothecary Elixirs
store 2

You can also choose Target Customer Criteria to attract certain types of Sims to your business. There are several new criteria available in the latest pack:

  • Naturopath (Career category)
  • Fairy (Occult category)
  • Disruptive (Trait Category)
  • Mystical (Trait Category)
  • Plant Lover (Trait Category)
  • Apothecary (Skill category)
  • Natural Living (Skill category)
store 1 1

Another feature of Businesses & Hobbies was the ability to run classes and lectures on any lot in-game. Both the Natural Living and Apothecary skills can be taught at the lecture whiteboard.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 15 33 21

The Club System – Fairy Gatherings

The club system was introduced with The Sims 4 Get Together, allowing Sims to create custom clubs with individually chosen activities. Similar to business customer criteria, your Sims can also choose to run clubs exclusively for Fairires, those in the Naturopath career, or with any of the three new traits.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 15 12 29

There are also new club activities that you can either allow or forbid:

  • Craft Apothecary Elixirs
  • Use Fairy Abilities
  • Use Natural Living Skill

Seasonal Compatibility – Let It Snow

After the lack of seasonal compatibility in Ravenwood in The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack, Innisgreen is fully compatible with The Sims 4 Seasons! Both Coast of Adhmor and Sprucederry have full seasonal changes, including snowy Winters and hot Summers.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 16 15 42

Everdew, on the other hand, experiences its own seasonal cycle, much like The Magic Realm! The weather there will always be temperate, perfect for the Nomad lifestyle.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 16 24 10

University Additions – Natural Studies

Many packs since the release of The Sims 4 Discover University have introduced new University elective classes, as well as boosts to careers from certain degrees. Enchanted by Nature comes with one new career, Naturopath, and 2 new skills, Apothecary and Natural Living.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 16 01 21

For those wanting to attend University for a boost in skills and a leg up after they graduate, the Biology Degree can benefit Sims looking to enter the Naturopath career. The degree can be taken at either the Foxbury Institute or the University of Britechester. Sims who want to take Biology at the Foxbury Institute will be required to have sufficient relevant skills to be accepted into a distinguished degree program.

Alongside Biology, Sims can take Physics to instantly join the Apothe-curist branch upon graduation, or Psychology to receive an instant path into the Lifestyle Coaching branch. Both of these degrees can be taken at the University of Britechester, or Distinguished at the Foxbury Institute if they have the skills.

Screenshot 2025 07 11 16 07 00

Sims are required to take 12 total classes to graduate and have the option to take elective classes that cover different topics related to their chosen course. Enchanted by Nature has one new elective class, ‘Apothecary Elixirs: Art, Science, or Magic?’. Unfortunately, there is no Natural Living skill-related elective for Sims attending either University.

Occult Crossovers – Vampires, Werewolves, and Mermaids, oh my!

In a recent blog post, The Sims Team revealed that there is a lot of crossover when it comes to Fairies interacting with other occult types. Fairies will not get on with Spellcasters due to their belief that Spellcaster magic is unnatural. Werewolves, on the other hand, are loved by Fairies, and their bond is strong. You can read the full blog post here or below:

Screenshot 2025 07 11 16 09 44

There are a plethora of previous Expansion and Game Packs that allow your Sim to connect with other Occult Sims. See below for a few you can try:

If you have the The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack, the Cottage Living Expansion Pack or the Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack, Fairy Sims can use their Nurture Nature to fulfil animal needs and instantly cure sick cats and dogs.

In addition, there are so many ways for Fairy Sims to connect with their Occult Sim counterparts! With the Werewolves Game Pack, Fairies can soothe Werewolves and bring their fury back to zero and return them to their Sim form, and with the Vampires Game Pack, Fairies can remove vampirism from Vampire Sims to return them to their natural Sim selves. Fairy Sims can also hydrate and top off the needs of their Mermaid Sim and PlantSim friends with the Island Living Expansion Pack!

With The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack, the Werevolves Game Pack and the Vampires Game Pack, Sims can use Apothecary crafting to create an Elixir that refills all needs instantly for Occult Sims.

The Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack introduces the Fear of Magic, making Sims who have had a bad experience with magic feel unsettled by it. If you have the Realm of Magic Game Pack, Sims may even get Paranoid when near Spellcasters or other Occult Sims.

The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Collection Guide

A Guide To Innisgreen’s Collectables!

A new expansion pack means new items to collect. The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection includes a variety of magical items you’ll find by exploring the world of Innisgreen to use in your holistic remedies. Look below to see what you’ll be foraging and where best to find them.

Innisgreen Ingredients

The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature‘s collection is made up of a few fun items you’ll find while foraging, as well as some weird emotion potions. These potions, sadly, take up a majority of the collection list. I don’t know why. (Please, EA, enough with emotional items, we have so many already.)

I would have much preferred more natural foraging items for the collection, but maybe that’s just me. (It’s not.)

How to Collect

There are a few ways you can collect the Innisgreen Ingredients in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection.

Purchase

One of the easiest is to simply purchase them from Todd Attenberry, aka Apothecary Todd, for you Sims Makin’ Magic players. Todd can be found at his apothecary stall in the Sprucederry neighborhood of Innisgreen.

Todd Attenberry's apothecary vendor stall

Todd’s shop is only open from 8 am-7 pm every day. You’ll still be able to purchase some ingredients even if the shop is closed because the crafting table has items you can purchase whenever. While the inventory at his stall changes daily, the items available to purchase at the crafting table are the same items consistently, with new items available as you level up your apothecary skill.

Forage

Forage for ingredients option is locked

The best way to collect the ingredients is to forage them throughout the world. However, ingredient foraging doesn’t unlock until your apothecary skill is level 2. The quickest way to do this is to either buy the skill book from Todd’s stall or by studying apothecary cures at the work table.

Forage for ingredients option is unlocked

Once you’re level 2 in the apothecary skill, you can forage for ingredients by clicking anywhere on the ground. Your sim will then search the area and you’ll be alerted to what they find. Do note that you’ll find all kinds of ingredients used for remedies, not just the collection items.

You’ll need to forage again and again to find everything to finish the collection, as some items are rarer than others. No one said foraging was easy.

Fables

A fun way to find the ingredients in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection is by completing fables. Fables have you running around the world completing quests after speaking to certain key NPC sims in the world of Innisgreen. If you’ve played the Life & Death Expansion Pack, it’s the same concept as collecting the tarot cards, but with a different flavor. By completing these fables, you’ll sometimes be awarded with ingredients.

To take part in the Fable quests, you should seek out one of the Fables Boards throughout the world. They look like the image below.

Fables quest board

The Fables Board will show you all of the special NPCs throughout Innisgreen that will give you quests. Stay tuned for our in-depth guide on the Fables feature.

Gardening

For the more green-thumbed Sims, gardening for ingredients is also possible thanks to the Everdew Plants. Three new magical plants introduced in Enchanted by Nature produce different ingredients for you to gather.

Everdew Plants

Aura Blossom – This plant produces Aura Petals

Lightning Root – This plant produces Lightning Root Leaves

Moody Shrub – This plant produces bottled emotions. You can then use bottled emotions to change which emotion the plant produces.

In order to forage for plants in Innisgreen, you need to be level 7 in the Natural Living Skill. Luckily, this is not the only way to procure these rare magical flora. You can also find the aforementioned Fable NPC characters throughout the world and complete their Fable Tasks or trade for the magical seeds. The last, and easiest, way to get these seeds is to buy them at the garden shop in the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood.

Bottling

It’s not the fastest way or the most reliable, but another way of collecting bottled emotions is to bottle them yourself at Moondrop Springs in Everdew. Ask the waters how they’re feeling and they’ll be forthright with their emotional state. If it’s an emotion you’re looking for, feel free to bottle some up to take home with you. The water’s emotional state changes every twelve hours, midnight and noon. You can also only bottle water once in a twelve hour period.

Sim bottling water at Moondrop Springs

You can also ask the waters to change its emotional state for you. It’s not a guarantee that it will. The chances of it being receptive to your request increases as you befriend Mother Nature.

Crafting

The last way to finish your collection is by crafting. When using the apothecary crafting station, you’re able to use three positive or negative emotion potions to craft one of another type. If you find yourself with too many of one kind, use them to make one of which you don’t have many.

Potions

Additions to previous Collections

Shockingly, there are no additions to any previous collections in the game. The items in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature collection of Innisgreen Ingredients are the only new collectables in the game. For an expansion pack so focused on both magic and living off the land by foraging, I’m high-key disappointed in this.

I understand that they don’t include new items for other DLC collections, so I wasn’t expecting new items in the Magical Artefacts collection or the Insect collection. However, I thought for sure there would be new frogs, fish, plants, and/or crystals. I find this to be a completely missed opportunity and honestly a let down, especially when the Innisgreen Ingredients collection is mostly made up of weird potions instead of actual foraged items.

Final Thoughts

While I think this is a great expansion for Create-A-Sim, I also believe some areas could have been improved. Most items are unisex, which is great, but it also tends to show a lack of style variation between Sims who dress in a feminine or masculine style. I also believe that the lack of almost anything for children and younger, both from clothes to the lack of fairy-specific items for them, is disappointing.

However, I overall believe you can do so much with this pack in terms of Create-A-Sim. The expanded skin tones available, the abundance of wings with the ability to paint and customize them included, and the brand new tattoos are many ways you can create unique, nature and fantasy-themed sims. I also personally find a lot of the assets to be creative and well-made, and have a very soft spot in my heart for the little flower hats for toddlers and infants, and the jelly sandals for children and younger!

The Sims 4 Glass Walls Build Tips: Through the Simming Glass

Building With The New Sims 4 Glass Walls!

With the arrival of the July 1st update, the Sims Team brought us glass walls, a feature which hasn’t been in any of the games since The Sims 2. I expect many simmers will come up with magical ways to use it. It was also an opportunity that I couldn’t resist. So, in preparation for the release of The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, I wanted to brush up my more whimsical builds as well as test out the glass walls.

The Idea

I, like many keen simmers, am impatiently waiting for the Enchanted by Nature expansion pack to release. It is right up my alley gameplay-wise with all of the gardening and living off the land features. Along with gameplay, the build/buy looks stunning with a certain Art Nouveau spin that we are missing.

So, to fill the void while I wait till Thursday, I wanted to build a charming cottage for a fairy to eventually live in.

9 times out of 10, when I’m choosing to build somewhere, I gravitate towards Henford-On-Bagley. Partially due to the architectural style, which I’m familiar with, but also for the farming aspect. I knew immediately that this cottage needed to be built in the top left-hand lot called Cordelia’s Secret Cottage.

The vision that I had for this cottage was overgrown landscaping with a variety of flowers. Mostly purple but a few other colours. Then, to use the glass wallpaper, I decided a greenhouse would be perfect for this. Not only do I enjoy building greenhouses, but I think it fits with the cottage aesthetic.

Sims 4 Glass Walls Build Tips

Now, if you are unfamiliar with the new glass walls, have no fear because it’s very simple. They act similarly to windows as they are both transparent, but the wallpaper is found under “Wall Patterns” then “Mics”.

There are 6 variants, each with 4 swatches. A 7th variant is arriving with the Enchanted by Nature pack.

Like normal wallpaper, you just apply it to whichever wall you want, and it appears on both the inside and outside. You can apply either by wall or room.

The swatches are meant to be the same as the glass roofs, although I found there wasn’t consistency between the detailing. The wallpaper detailing is much darker than its roof counterpart, which is a little disappointing as it makes matching them much more difficult. Perhaps it is something the Sims team will go back and correct at some point.

Finishing The Build

For the rest of the build, the structure came together quickly. I wanted to keep it small and simple because my vision was of a quaint cottage, not a large farmhouse.

For the exterior colour scheme, I went for dark wallpaper because I wanted the lighter windows and colourful flowers to pop against it. The interior is a little lighter as I picked pale purple wallpaper and had lots of blue-toned green accents throughout.

Exterior of cottage with covered front porch surrounded by stone wall

For decorating, I wanted it to be very mystical, so I tried to find the most magical-looking items. It is filled with many objects from the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack as well as some of the more magical clutter from Werewolves and Realm of Magic Game Packs.

The greenhouse was filled with all sorts of plants. I included two planter boxes and a flower arranging table for gameplay, but wanted the rest to be plant-heavy; I decided that, as garden patches were abundant outside, there didn’t need to be many in the greenhouse.

Overall, I think the exterior and interior are good reflections of each other and fit the bewitching style that I was going for. The landscaping also has a slight magical feel with it being overgrown and very colourful.

The Outcome

I am very happy with the addition of glass walls. I think I will get a lot of use out of them, particularly in my gameplay, where I often have a gardener who needs a greenhouse. Plus, I think it will pair very well with the upcoming Enchanted by Nature items coming, so I’m looking forward to what everyone in the community creates!

The Sims 4 Custom Map Replacements Guide: 60+ Amazing Revamps

Brighten your world view with these beautiful map replacements!

If you’ve been looking for a way to bring your spark back to the world management side of your Sims gameplay, Sims 4 custom map replacements are a great way to do it! With over 28 total worlds as of June 2025, and the 29th on the way with the release of Innisgreen in Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, the game has tons of areas for your sims to explore and for you to build upon. But after a certain point, it starts to feel a bit… drab. Sitting in manage worlds with the simplified and bright green background of Willow Creek or golden Oasis Springs can start to make things feel old.

Sims 4 Custom Map Replacements 2025 willow Creek overview

Not to fear! Custom Content creators have a myriad of Sims 4 Custom Map Replacements that can completely overhaul your view of the game, and really change the feel of each world!

Since these can be very time-consuming and detailed projects to begin and continue, most Custom Content creators do not have every single map in The Sims 4 available. Thankfully, we’ve compiled a list of custom maps so that each world in The Sims 4 has at least one option so your in-game maps can have a fresh new look!

20th Century Plumbob

20th Century Plumbob is a creator who has a history of making Machinimas, or short films in The Sims 4, but dove headfirst into making gorgeous custom maps that can fit into almost anyone’s game, from Maxis Match to Maxis Mix to Alpha. Their maps bring so much character and detail, and many maps come with different versions to accommodate your view of the world! They also primarily focus on making the map reflect the actual world, and often include little details found in-game but not in the original map!

Dershayan

Dershayan, also known as Shayan, is a creator who primarily works on smaller mods, fanart map overhauls, and much more. The maps they create have a very smooth and painted look and style, allowing for your lots to stand out but for each map to feel more real. They feel like I’m strolling through Willow Creek Archives and viewing a masterfully painted map of the area.

MissChipsa

MissChipsa, also known as Estrella or Estele, is a creator you may be familiar with if you’ve ever dabbled in playing The Sims 4 Decades Challenge, The Sims 4 History Challenge, or if you just enjoy playing in a fantasy or middle ages styled game. While they also make beautiful UI mods to make your historical or fantasy experience more seamless, deco sims for staging storytelling, and compile historical mods, they also release beautiful custom maps so your world can really feel immersive when you’re playing a historical or fantasy save!

Sims 4 Custom Map Replacements: 2025

As this is being written as we’re awaiting the release of Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature and the world Innisgreen that comes with it, make sure to keep an eye out for the featured creators to release their own overhauls of that world in the near future!

We also recommend separating these mods in your mods folder; While they won’t break as often as other user interface mods as the map view is not updated by The Sims team as much, it is still always mindful as a way to avoid conflicts, especially with many creators having multiple versions of each world map. Also, in the case of issues with custom map mods due to an update or something else, separating them makes it easier to troubleshoot until they are updated.

Oasis Springs

2CT OasisSprings

20th Century Plumbob Oasis Springs
This custom map for Oasis Springs brings in details of the in-game world to the map view, with a beautiful mix of the deep green turf, golden sand, and reddish rocks and hills. The neighborhoods are properly separated similarly to how they are in-game, and even tiny details like bushes and leaning palm trees are present!

MissChip OasisSprings

MissChipsa Historical Oasis Springs
Estrella’s Oasis Springs is rich, warm, and you can feel the blistering sun and heat present in the area. Perfect for historical, medieval, and fantasy saves set in a desert area, this custom map takes away a lot of the modern aspects of Oasis Springs and introduces a sandy world fit for many different saves and gameplay styles.

Dershayan OasisSprings 1

Dershayan Oasis Springs Fanart Map
Oasis Springs in Shayan’s map feels closer to a watercolor or oil painting representative of the town, with smooth color blending and rich detail. It adds in background areas not represented in the game like roads leading out of town, decorative neighborhoods and extra houses, and so much more.

Willow Creek

2CT WillowCreek

20th Century Plumbob Willow Creek
20th Century Plumbob’s Willow Creek pulls away from the bright green of the base game map, and instead pushes Willow Creek closer to its real world inspiration; A southern bayou and swampy area with tons of water, deep dark grass, and red muddy sand on the shores. The surrounding forested areas feels much more lush, removing a lot of the open space found in the original Willow Creek map.

MissChip WillowCreek

MissChipsa Historical Willow Creek Map
Estrella creates a replacement map for Willow Creek with a story built right into it! The peaceful waterside settlement is neighbored by an active volcano, with both dead and alive trees sprinkled along the landscape. The rivers and canals separate homes and other lots, functioning as separation for each neighborhood.

DershayanWillowCreek

Dershayan
Dershayan’s Willow Creek is close to the original color scheme, but it heavily expands upon the intricate natural and manmade bodies of water found throughout Willow Creek, since it is inspired by real world bayous and similar areas. Lots of detail is added to make the world feel more full, which can be really helpful as Willow Creek is one of the oldest maps, leading to it feeling somewhat dated when compared to newer packs.

Magnolia Promenade

2CT MagnoliaPromenade

20th Century Plumbob
20th Century Plumbob adds much more detail to show the connection of Magnolia Promenade to Willow Creek, like the nearby canal featuring the ferry, as well as the brick paved road and railcar to make it feel more like a small shopping district just off of Willow Creek, Newcrest, and other similar areas.

MissChip MagnoliaPromenade

MissChipsa Historical Map Replacement
Estrella has transformed Magnolia Promenade into a busy town square, fit for a market where your medieval or historical save sims can shop for their produce and other goods. Small houses surround the town and the road is paved with cobblestone, and the nearby homes have thatched roofs to blend in with your builds!

Dershayan MagnoliaPromenade

Dershayan
This map by Shayan feels almost like a storybook or children’s book surrounding Magnolia Promenade, with smooth and beautiful imagery to fit in well with the area. I love how the cherry blossom trees stick out among the plain green, and the details painted to show the flow of the river and nearby canal.

Newcrest

2CT Newcrest

20th Century Plumbob
For Newcrest being added as a “Blank Slate” sort of world so players can build freely, the standard in-game map feels quite barren, even when you’ve filled the entire world. 20th Century Plumbob has created a map that accurately reflects what we see in-game and what we expect for a world supposedly connected to areas like Willow Creek, Magnolia Promenade, etc. Suburbia in a bayou is a great way to describe it, with decorative older homes adjacent to empty lots to fill up the streets.

MissChipsa Historical Map Replacement (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
Estrella creates a world with a cobblestone road, small bridges, and a cleared yet still forested area for your historical and fantasy save files. The town has been overall decluttered, making it a blank slate for you to fit in your tiny cabin or large estate builds! You also have two options for either a clear and spring-like Newcrest, or one covered with a soft layer of snow!

Dershayan Newcrest

Dershayan
Newcrest becomes more like its own neighborhood rather than an entire world, the added buildings by Shayan making it cohesive and the perfect place for your sims new starter or family-sized home! Tiny details that we personally love include the fountain in the little river, the added golf course, and the tiny canal that splits off from the small body of water in the center of town.

Granite Falls

2CT GraniteFalls

20th Century Plumbob
When you send your sims camping in Granite Falls, does it ever feel like the map is not reflective of the actual area? Seems a bit sparse, right? Well, 20th Century Plumbob has that taken care of! Their map overhaul plants tons of beautiful trees to cover the map, provides more focus on the nearby scenic waterfall, and still places the mountains in the background with the bright blue sky roaming overhead!

MissChipsa (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
Whether you’re still taking a trip with your sims to Granite Falls, just with a little less technology, or you’re playing with the “All Worlds Are Residential” mod by Zerbu, Estrella’s multiple variants of her Granite Falls map overhaul have you covered! For historical saves, she has a tiny town square in a remote forest. For fantasy saves, she has the section of a small kingdom, with an eye-drawing statue that almost glows. Finally, for prehistoric saves an untouched forest with vast swaths of land and mountains sits waiting for your sims to discover!

Windenburg

2CTWindenburg

20th Century Plumbob
With Windenburg being quite a bit of an older map, you can see how it could get old as time progresses and new maps get added to the game. However, 20th Century Plumbob did a beautiful refresh of the world. The ocean is so much bluer, the coast is more defined and accurate to in-game, and there’s even the addition of many decorative buildings in the city to make it feel closer to real life!

MissChipsa Windenburg Replacements (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
Misschipsa provides two great variant maps to overhaul Windenburg, both allowing for some possible amazing storylines! The first is a standard Medieval Windenburg, with added ships, a cobblestone road surrounding the city, and many tiny details to remove modernization. The second is an Elven Windenburg. The added ships are more refined and colorful, everywhere is a dirt or grassy area, and there’s even a beautifully designed castle in the northern section of the map!

DershayanWindenburg

Dershayan
With wide forested areas surrounding the homes close to the manor, a soft blue sea that flows into nearby rivers, and a cluster of homes to make the city feel more alive and real, Shayan provides an amazing overhaul for your sims who want to live in the quaint forested north or the bustling city east of Windenburg!

San Myshuno

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
Whether your sim is running out the door to get to their job or heading out to the karaoke bar on a Friday night, 20th Century Plumbob has a map overhaul for night owls and early birds! Both maps really make San Myshuno feel closer to a bustling city that can be a bit cramped at times, rather than feeling very open or sparse like the original. The nighttime variant also includes soft water reflections and lights coming from different buildings to add some depth and variety!

Dershayan Sanmyshuno

Dershayan
A soft white vignette frames Shayan’s map replacement for San Myshuno. This map replacement also adds in tons of decorative buildings so it feels closer to a true urban area, with close quarters and skyscrapers reaching as high as they can go! Original objects like the non-playable island are removed and the canal or river is cut short on the top, to allow for more buildings to be added as well!

MissChip SanMyshuno

MissChipsa Medieval San Myshuno
How do you turn a bustling modern city into a sprawling settlement with small encampments, towers, and even the ability to make a floating castle? We personally wouldn’t know, but Estrella figured it out! Transform your San Myshuno into the perfect place for your fantasy or middle ages save file!

Forgotten Hollow

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
20th Century Plumbob provides a much greener and secluded Forgotten Hollow, with both a daytime and nighttime variant for all your Vampire (or other type of sim!) needs! While the maps are generally the same, save for color differences with changes in lighting, they both have great little details that help them better reflect the in-game world. The nighttime variant also has little glowing street lights!

Brindleton Bay

2CT BrindletonBay

20th Century Plumbob
The coastal town of Brindleton Bay is now more detailed than ever! With a softly blurred vignette to keep a focus on the center of town, 20th Century Plumbob has added every detail of the in-game map, as well as added some other sights to make the map more cohesive! I particularly like the added bridge on the northeast side of the map, as well as the added decorative homes to add to the small town feel!

Dershayan BrindletonBay

Dershayan
Shayan’s take on Brindleton Bay creates a more rural feel for the town, similarly to the original map created by EA. the town has a small dock for boats in the area, has a nearby brick paved area for parks, and then the separate island and forested area for those who want to live a tad further from civilization. The separated island also has a teeny tiny dock, as well as the lovely lighthouse with its attached living area.

MissChipsa Brindleton Bay
Estrella’s creativity knows no bounds! She adds three new map variants for Brindleton Bay. While all of them are made less modern and more rustic overall, yet still include docks to allow Brindleton Bay to continue to be a coastal trade city, they have a few slight tweaks! Brindleton Bay: Normal features a very deep and warm forested area with mountains that frame the scene. Brindleton Bay: Winter, has speckles of snow on the ground, but is overall the same, it just adds some weather variation. Finally, Brindleton Bay: Winter Viking has a much thicker layer of snow, much more foliage, and the architecture more closely resembles ancient Nordic and Viking architecture! It also has a lighthouse!

Selvadorada

2CT Selvadorada

20th Century Plumbob
Playing an archaeologist sim has never felt more adventurous and fun! Get whisked away to 20th Century Plumbob’s updated Selvadorada map, filled with deep emerald colored trees and large cliffsides that drop right down into the ocean blue! The map overhaul more accurately showcases the coloring of the game itself when you’re in Live Mode, and really spruces up the map!

Dershayan Selvadorada

Dershayan
With colors closer to what you would imagine a real-world Selvadorada to look like and brush strokes that highlight features and draw the eye to special places, Shayan’s Selvadorada map is absolutely gorgeous. The waterfalls flow and splash down into the nearby roaring river, and the details of the jungle feel cohesive and clear as your sim explores and uncovers the mysteries of Selvadorada.

Del Sol Valley

2CT DelSolValley

20th Century Plumbob
If you imagine Del Sol Valley as a very large, bustling city, perfect for creatives and celebrities, then 20th Century Plumbob has made the map overhaul for you! Tons of decorative buildings and little details are added to expand upon the map, also adding in a pier as well as little cars that dot the multi-level highway. The spots set aside at the top of the hill for large mansions and celebrity hideaways are now lots carved into the top of a mountain, making it feel more secluded and exclusive!

Dershayan DelSolValley

Dershayan
Shayan’s overhaul of Del Sol Valley really adds in details to expand upon the world and make it feel bigger and brighter; With a nearby pier featuring a Ferris wheel, a large freeway cutting through the center of town, and nearby rolling hills to hold up the mega mansions of the rich & famous, Del Sol Valley looks like a great place for a struggling artist or actor to make it big!

MissChip DelSolValley

MissChipsa Medieval Del Sol Valley
Trade the Glitz & Glamour of the Los Angeles inspired Del Sol Valley for the rugged forest of Estrella’s map overhaul! While most of the town has been turned into a vast forested village, with a nearby castle and log-walled camp visible, the “ultra-wealthy” neighborhood reserved for higher up celebrities sits on its own plateau. Perfect for sims like Ye Olde Judith Ward!

Strangerville

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
20th Century Plumbob has created a map overhaul for Strangerville with two unique variations, and I think it fits perfectly into the story of Strangerville, both before and after! While both can be used at either time, I think that using “Strangerville Dark” during the story, when the mother plant is active, and “Strangerville Light” once the town has been saved is a perfect way to add some variety to your save file! Both maps have little details that set them apart, like more foliage being added and visible streetlights on the dark map, along with the foreboding purple glow coming from the “Secret Lab”!

Dershayan
Shayan created a beautiful overhaul for Strangerville, perfect for all your Mother Plant slaying and desert living needs! Its a tiny desert town with a river separating both residential neighborhoods from the foreboding crater surrounding the secret lab, the deep red sand adding beautiful contrast with the light blue river and smaller bodies of water speckled on the map.

Sulani

2CT Sulani

20th Century Plumbob
20th Century Plumbob’s map overhaul for Sulani really brightens up the already very bright world, making it much closer to how it looks in-game, but also much easier on the eyes. The area overhaul has a lot more visual contrast to draw your eye. With the volcanic rock and volcano itself being deepened to a true-to-life black, and the water being a widespread deep turquoise dotted with neon green to represent pollution. Sulani feels more home-like, and its a great replacement map option!

Dershayan Sulani

Dershayan
Shayan puts great detail into their map overhaul, from the smoke and steam billowing from the volcano and down to the little decorative houses and tiny sailboats that dot the islands and sea of the map. The colors of the map feel more cohesive than the original, almost like its a postcard you’d receive from a friend who moved to Sulani and wanted to give you a souvenir.

MissChip Sulani

MissChipsa Medieval Sulani Map
Estrella’s map overhaul takes away a lot of modern elements, like her other overhauls, so it can fit better into historical, prehistoric, or almost any save set in another era! This even includes changing the general shape of the islands! They run a lot closer together in certain spots and the volcano is more active than usual, with whirlpools in the sea and smog billowing off the volcano.

Glimmerbrook

2CT Glimmerbrook

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
Whether you choose to forever have your magical Glimmerbrook bright and full of daylight, or aglow with the rising sun, 20th Century Plumbob has created a beautiful map to completely change how you view the tiny mystical world! The forests surrounding the area are thickened, making it feel more remote and less connected from the rest of the world, perfect for an area teeming with magic!

Dershayan Glimmerbrook

Dershayan
Fit to adorn the walls of the Magic HQ in Glimmerbrook’s hidden magical realm, this painted and stylized map overhaul refreshes the world. It even includes a separate area past the portal that is covered in a soft, pink-purple mist, representing the magic found hidden within this world! Shayan conveys the gameplay found in this world perfectly with subtle hints and a beautiful overhaul!

MissChip Glimmerbrook

MissChipsa Medieval Glimmerbrook
Estrella’s map overhaul provides and entirely new take on Glimmerbrook; Rough winds and storms run wild near the portal at the end of the river. A bright glow highlights the now much larger portal, drawing attention to the hidden magic realm just outside of the forested area where sims live in Glimmerbrook. The mountains feel more dark and somewhat menacing, and even though it is intended for historical or fantasy saves, I feel it works perfectly for almost any era!

Britechester

2CT Britechester

20th Century Plumbob
While there is also an available Low Saturation variant, I believe that the bright and multicolored original Britechester map fits perfectly well, but it is all personal preference! 20th Century Plumbob provides a great overhaul that expands on the world of Britechester, opening it up for your incoming students or families in a college town. The campuses feel much larger, and there is a larger divide between the two as the color schemes even differ!

Dershayan Britechester

Dershayan
The canals that run under and around the streets of Britechester are widened, closing in and making the map feel closer to a true representation of the small, older college town. The island in the middle separates the two opposing universities, adding the stark contrast to showcase the “Modernity Versus Tradition” ideas of the world. Shayan captures the vibes of Britechester perfectly!

MissChip Britechester

MissChipsa Medieval Britechester
The long and grueling carriage ride is over and you have finally landed in Britechester, a quaint and quiet village neighboring the two universities available in your area. Small houses dot the forest, and the deep rivers carve the land, bridges hanging over them to allow for travel by foot. Estrella’s map replacement makes the world feel more rural and fit for a time long ago, yet still having two opposing architectures.

Evergreen Harbor

2CT EvergreenHarbor

20th Century Plumbob
20th Century Plumbob’s view of Evergreen Harbor fits the gameplay surrounding the world perfectly. With each neighborhood being their own level of green or eco-friendly, they’ve perfectly captured the smoggy and polluted streets in the southern area of the map, while also showcasing the pristine nature of the suburbia style area in the upper left.

Batuu

2CT Batuu

20th Century Plumbob
Even one of the most controversial worlds to ever grace the Sims 4 needs some TLC to brush things up! With an overview of the rocky cliffs near the Black Spire Outpost, down to the small forest surrounding the Resistance Encampment, your vacation to Batuu got just a bit more out of this world!

Mt. Komorebi

2CT MtKomorebi

20th Century Plumbob
The snowy peaks of Mt. Komorebi surround and cast a shadow over the bright and green town beneath. It looks like the perfect place for a fun family getaway, or for your sims to live out their festival and snow-filled lives. The colors have a bright contrast, creating a clear separation between the different sections of the world, and the Wakabas river is a beautiful deep teal that borders the map, making it inviting enough for your sims to swim in!

Dershayan MtKomorebi

Dershayan
Shayan has created an absolutely stunning painted map for Mt. Komorebi. The world feels beautifully crafted, almost like you’re viewing a brochure for visiting Mt. Komorebi, and the green surrounding area of the town attracts you to the main attraction; The snowy peaks of the mountain with its skiing, snowboarding, and mountain climbing activities. It is an absolutely beautiful option of refresh your view of the world!

Henford-On-Bagley

2CT HenfordOnBagley

20th Century Plumbob
Your heart fills with whimsy and adventure looking at the lush and vivid green map that 20th Century Plumbob has created for Henford-On-Bagley. The town is adorned with its cobbled roads and nearby castle ruins, and the rural farmland spreads all the way to the bright blue sky on the horizon.

MissChip HenfordOnBagley

MissChipsa Medieval Henford-On-Bagley
Get your hands dirty and round up the livestock for Estrella’s map overhaul for Henford-On-Bagley! Reminiscent of aged parchment, the yellow and warm tones of the trees make it feel like the harvest season is approaching and you’re trying to plan how you’re going to get everything handled before the deep winter. Perfect for the toils and struggles of a Sims 4 Decades Challenge!

Tartosa

2CT Tartosa

20th Century Plumbob
The tropical, Mediterranean-Inspired world of Tartosa has always been a beautiful place to relax and gather for life’s precious moments, but 20th Century Plumbob knocked it out of the park with this map replacement! Serious depth is added with tiny details including the decorative homes, the rugged cliffside, and the beautiful waterfalls sinking into the deep blue sea being highlighted. It feels like you’re on a helicopter tour overlooking the island!

Moonwood Mill

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
20th Century Plumbob provides two options for Moonwood Mill, that are similar yet distinct! The daytime Moonwood Mill is bright, cool-toned, and perfectly encapsulates the forested and rural world. The nighttime Moonwood Mill makes the tones much deeper and more vivid, with brighter accent lights and of course, the beautiful moon reflecting off the lake. A perfect place for your unplanned wolfy rampage!

Dershayan MoonwoodMill

Dershayan
Shayan brings nighttime in Moonwood Mill to life with their painted maps. Small details that really pull it together include a softly lit billboard leading out of town, more details added to the canal on the right side of the map, a lumberyard. Moonwood Cliff looks stoic, and draws attention while not distracting from the other bits and pieces put into this map.

Copperdale

2CT Copperdale

20th Century Plumbob
20th Century Plumbob’s custom map for Copperdale taps into the expansiveness of the real world Pacific Northwest, which Copperdale is partially based off of, adding in trees and thick brush all over the map. The town is surrounded by either widespread mountains or the deep blue sea, depending on the side you’re looking at, and this custom map makes everything feel vivid, rich, and life-like.

MissChip Copperdale

MissChipsa Medieval Copperdale
Set in vivid autumn tones, Estrella’s take on Copperdale largely removes industrial man-made features in what was already a lushly forested world, replacing them with smaller handcrafted structures and pieces that can fit within almost any timeline or era. The town square has been transformed into a much smaller setting, with warm red dirt and cobblestone roads and lovely little cottages.

San Sequoia

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
As San Sequoia is a coastal town taking heavy inspiration from San Francisco, the focal point connecting the two areas of town is the large bridge spanning between the two landmasses. When creating this beautiful take on San Sequoia, with its lush trees and beautiful blue sea, 20th Century Plumbob took that into account – To match the Red San Sequoia Bridge mod by SimMattically, there is one version that keeps it the original gray and one version that changes it to red to better reflect what is seen in-game (and with the Golden Gate Bridge!).

MissChip SanSequoia

MissChipsa San Sequoia Medieval Map
To mesh well with a save set in a fantasy or medieval-style world, Estrella has a vivid and naturalistic take on San Sequoia. The man-made bridge is instead replaced with a natural land bridge, with wooden ships and docks dotting the sea to show transportation and trade. Pine trees and dirt roads are added where cleared land and paved concrete normally sit, making for a beautiful map replacement.

Chestnut Ridge

2CT ChestnutRidge

20th Century Plumbob
The far reaches of the Chestnut Ridge horizon line is present and accentuated in 20th Century Plumbob’s custom map. The rich red mesas and plateaus are evident surrounding almost the entirety of the map, with certain sections showcasing the wide open yellow-green fields of the nearby plains. The town has trails of dusty dirt roads leading to the cobblestone center that houses the Equestrian Center and nearby community lots.

Tomarang

20th Century Plumbob (Multiple Variations, Only Download One!)
Whether you envision the tropical city of Tomarang in all its sunny and warm glory, or by the soft glow of street stand lights during its famous Night Market, 20th Century Plumbob has you covered! The waters have deepened to a rich teal color and the land has been adjusted to accurately showcase the surrounding mountainous region and smaller islands nearby.

Ciudad Enamorada

2CT CiudadEnamorada

20th Century Plumbob
The overall stylization for Ciudad Enamorada is improved and made into an accurate representation of what its like for a sim to live in the world itself, featuring the in-game decorative homes, skyscrapers, and commercial buildings with their bright red and orange roofs and varied stucco exteriors. 20th Century Plumbob knocks it out of the park with a lush and warm world, truly bringing this city of love to life!

Ravenwood

2CT Ravenwood

20th Century Plumbob
The fog over Ravenwood in 20th Century Plumbob’s map is deep, thick, and palpable. While the neighborhoods of Whispering Glen and Crow’s Crossing are bright and representative of the lively inhabitants of them, the neighborhood of Mourningvale features a darkness that spreads over the lots, with bright accent lighting to showcase the mysticism that comes with a thinned barrier between the living and the dead.

Dershayan Ravenwood

Dershayan
The interpretation of Ravenwood from Shayan features rolling green hills that encapsulate a town with old roots in the area, and the neighborhood of Mourningvale is plunged into a beautifully painted darkness with a misty fog settling over the area. While being beautifully stylized, the map still stays true to the roots and lore of the neighborhood and represents the varied residents within the world.

Nordhaven

2CT Nordhaven

20th Century Plumbob
Since Nordhaven is such a new world, there isn’t too many custom map replacements, but 20th Century Plumbob delivered with a beautiful interpretation of the world with connections to its seaside and Scandinavian inspiration. Both the water and land have much deeper and richer colors than the original map, and its closer to reflecting the in-game world than the stylized original map!

Final Thoughts & Recommendations

This is obviously not an exhaustive list as many creators have Sims 4 custom map replacements that require updating, are not publicly released, and many more reasons not listed here. Create4Sims has taken this concept and expanded it to the max. Surrounded by rivers and ponds filled with ducks and swans, this home includes gardens and orchards fit for any Hobbit (or Sims). The back of the lot also features a pen for mini-goats so you can make a few extra simoleons in this whimsical house. Check out the build in action below!

This inconspicuous little bar placed on the road leading past Glimmerbrook is harbouring a magical secret! While most of its patrons will be none the wiser, in the basement below there are Spellcasters brewing up potions.

The main floor of the bar features two bars and a seating area. But if you venture through the back room and down a hidden set of stairs, you will find the real purpose of the operation. Gardener’s Small Mansion – Plantsimgirl

Lot Type: Residential
Lot Size: 40×30
Location: Moonwood Mill
Price: §112,096

The Spellcasters and Werewolves have a troubled history, to put it lightly, but that doesn’t stop non-werewolf Sims from purchasing a property on their turf!

Calling this a mansion is an oxymoron. Yes, it’s larger than the existing Moonwood Mill homes, but it’s certainly on the smaller side. The Second floor features a gardening balcony perfect for green-thumbed Sims, and the roof even features a garden in which you could plant all kinds of herbs and magical plants. This build sure isn’t short on houseplants!

Ravenwood Church & Cemetery – Marmelad

Lot Type: Cemetery
Lot Size: 64×64
Location: Ravenwood

We can’t have every build on this list be sunny and bright now, can we? The Ravenwood Church & Cemetery by Marmelad is the perfect burial spot for your deceased Sims, or a hangout for fans of the macabre.

This lot features 3 custom-built mausoleums, a church with a wedding arch, and some beautiful gardens to take a moonlit stroll through. You can check out the build in action below!

Mermaid Hunt – SatiSim

Lot Type: Residential
Lot Size: 30 x 20
Location: Sulani
Price: §180,550

Let’s show Sulani some love with this Mermaid Hut by SatiSim. While mermaids could do with expanding, this occult fits perfectly on the Shores of Sulani. SatiSim has created this hut with extensive use of the T.O.O.L mod by Twisted Mexi, and I must say it is very beautiful.

The hut doesn’t feature much, but that’s mostly because Mermaids enjoy spending their time sleeping in the water. The hut features a small kitchen and a makeup table. Let’s hope that mascara is water resistant!

HeadlessQuarters – LadyChaosWorld

Lot Type: HeadlessQuarters
Lot Size: 20×20
Location: Ravenwood / Grim’s Realm

A home fit for Grim! This lot by LadyChaosWorld replaces the existing HeadlessQuarters, accessed by joining the Reaper active career. This multi-story house of death has everything your Reaper in-training needs.

Every floor has something different going on. In the basement, you can find Grim’s throne and a training area. Also found in the basement is a dungeon featuring multiple dingy cells. The ground floor contains the office spaces for the Grimterns to file reports, while the upper floors contain an attic room of found treasures and a rooftop observation area with a telescope and crystal charging stations.

Haunted Victorian – SarahAmina

Lot Type: Haunted House Residential
Lot Size: 30 x 30
Location: Forgotten Hollow
Price: §120,218

If you haven’t played with The Sims 4 Paranormal or the Haunted House Residential lot type yet, then you are missing out! This lot is perfect for any ghost-hunting wannabes.

The broken windows, falling trees, and spooky dolls all contribute to the spooky atmosphere this lot has going for it. Don’t want your day interrupted by mischievous spirits? Why not turn it into a fixer-upper? Check out the build video below… If you dare!

Seance & Occult Store – Ninahschmidt

Lot Type: Small Business Residential

Price: §142,597

Ninahschmidt’s Seance & Occult Store in Ravenwood is your one-stop shop for everything spooky and odd. With the shop and seance rooms on the ground floor, and a 3-bedroom apartment on the top floor, this space is sure to have your entrepreneurial emo’s raking in money!

The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling Event Week 3 Guide

A Full Walkthrough to Earning Rewards in The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling Event Week 3!

The third and penultimate week of The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling Event has officially begun. This week sees another two quests begin in-game, and a few new rewards for your Sims. Check out our Week 1 and Week 2 guides if you’re not caught up, or check out the rewards here! Next week is the final week to play through the quests and claim the rewards before they’re gone forever!

Let’s take a look at everything in Week 3 of The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling!

‘Secret Sands’ Quest Walkthrough

The first quest of the week is titled ‘Secret Sands’. The name is a clue as to where Bob Pancakes will be heading this week. You will be greeted by this pop up informing you of the quest:

Sands quest 1

The whispers guide you to the vast expanse of Desert Bllom Park, where the winds weave tales of hidden secrets beneath the sand.

Follow the enchanting breeze as it beckons you to explore mysetrious caves and uncover artistic wonders.

Secret Sands – Quest

Once you click ‘OK’, you will be given your first three tasks. The first I decided to pursue was ‘Visit Desert Bloom Park’, so I headed to the map and visited the park in Oasis Springs.

Upon arriving at Desert Bloom Park, the task was updated, and I now had to ‘Draw In The Sand’. To do this, click on the ground and select one of three shapes to draw.

I couldn’t see any logs to search for frogs, so I undertook the next task of ‘Investigate the Cave’. If you’ve never been to the cave, follow the creek from Desert Bloom Park and go up the hill. There you will find the cave. Click on the cave and select the option.

I couldn’t find any frogs, so I headed to Foundry Cove in Willow Creek and instantly found two logs and began searching for frogs.

After heading home, I automatically completed the ‘Have a Sim Spend Time Outdoors’ task and was greeted by the completion pop-up.

completion popup

The Clues at the park were truley ribbiting, but a deeper mystery lingers. The cave holds untold secrets, yet the earth’s warning echoes in your mind.

Secret Sands – Quest

‘Symphony of Serenity’ Quest Walkthrough

The next quest starts instantly, and you will be greeted with a pop-up informing you of the ‘Secret of Serenity’ Quest!

symphoney quest

The whispers swirl around your Sim, inviting them to create harmony within their home. As the wind guides you, it hints at the peaceful symphoney of nature that can transform any space into a sanctuary.

Embrace the call to craft and listen, allowing the gentle sounds of the wild to soothe your Sim’s spirit.

Symphony of Serenity – Quest

The first task of the second quest of the week required Bob to build the new Reclaimed Wood Dining Table, which must first be redeemed from the event store. I then needed to make sure Bob was at level 5 of the Handiness Skill, an easy way to do this was using last week’s Handiness skill book.

After constructing the table, it was time to buy a new grill and cook up some supper on it. I placed the Reclaimed Wood Dining Table alongside the chairs for a perfect dinner spot.

The next task was to ‘Sleep with the Nature Soundscapes Radio Station in the Same Room’, so I set up a small radio next to their tent, and the couple went to bed.

pancakes camping

And that was it, another week of quests finished. The popup informed me of the completion, and I could now unlock the Rings of Growth Tattoo and give Eliza some new ink!

Bringing nature indoors creates a tranquil haven, but the journey continue. The wind whispers of secrets soon to be unveiled… prepare to learn the truth she carries.

Symphony of Serenity – Quest

Small Rewards Week 3
