SimGuruKate has published a tweet saying that there’s going to be a livestream for The Sims 4 on July 31st, 2018 on Twitch to showcase the new update for The Sims 4 that will go live on the same day.
Set your alarms folks, barring unforeseen events (which as you know can happen), we’re planning a Twitch livestream on Tuesday, July 31st at 11 AM PST to discuss an update for The Sims 4 that will go live the same day. Stay tuned.
SimGurus haven’t really said what’s coming with this update. However, SimGuruGrant and SimGuruKate did tweet some additional information and a few disclaimers:

To all those asking if the Livestream is about X, Y, Z, A, B, or C, we can not share exactly what the feature is at this moment. I do assure you it's more than bug fixes. And the feature is one that we are excited about and that the team has been working hard on.

Considering that they’re doing a dedicated livestream for it we can bet on the fact that it’s not going to be just an ordinary update! Previously we had free content update livestreams for Ghosts, Pools and Toddlers, so this could possibly mean that this update will be of importance as those 3 updates.

Bypass cas on new game maybe?? I’m sure we were meant to get that a while back but it never happened. Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t know.
I was thinking maybe the return of burglars/firefighters and the like. But if it’s Create a World then that would be worth the hype too!

Dang, I was hoping it was going to be some different stair types. I have a feeling the new feature is for build mode though. Maybe its having multiple building elevations on one lot? Well, whatever it is, it’s something too look forward to.
Cars would’ve been nice. Oh well.
Why bother tease about it if you’re gonna disregard 90% of what the community hoped for.
