Small issues getting resolved in a new Sims 4 Patch dropping in the next few hours!
The Sims Team has announced today a new The Sims 4 Hotfix Update, set to release tomorrow on April 28th, 2026. The update is expected to release for both Desktop and Console platforms, with the Console update being larger.
Here's what the team shared about tomorrow's hotfix patch drop:
Simmers,
There's a Base Game update tomorrow, April 28 to resolve recent issues including new content popups on Console & Gallery sorting. Players on Xbox & PlayStation will see a larger download due to the systems being updated; this will not impact the game's overall size.
Don't be confused though - this Sims 4 Hotfix update isn't the new content update that's been hinted for early May 2026. With unofficial talks and speculation mentioning a new Sims 4 Live Event as well!
We will make sure to keep you posted on the latest Sims 4 Hotfix Update drop right here on Sims Community. Stay tuned!

This is not a hotfix. Please use this word in proper way. Hotfix fixes the sudden issue in matter of hours or in the worst case days.
This is a normal update, NOT HOTFIX.

This is in fact still a hotfix. A hotfixis a targeted, emergency update designed to fix a critical bug or security vulnerability in a live production system immediately, without waiting for the next regular update cycle. The next regular update is not scheduled until early May, therefore this small hotfix is targeting 2 issues only and is not a full scale update. It does not matter if this is coming days later after an issue arises, it is still a hotfix.

The hotfix patch has not gone live yet, therefore there are currently no patch notes released. However the article does already inform you of what is being fixed when the hotfix goes live.

I don’t really think there needs to be patch notes for a small hotfix update that literally fixed 2 things.

I really wish The Sims had multiplayer so I could play together with my husband.
Building, creating, and living our stories side by side would mean so much to me. Maybe one day… and a zoo feature in the future would be amazing too!
but i looking forward for the big update

Speaking of fixes, we’d like it if you could look at the issue of CAS and aspiration items from unowned packs that somehow appear whenever an inactive sim ages to teen
Helppp
I updated my game but I still can’t access my own Sims in the gallery. I can only download Maxis ones. My created Sims won’t show up or load. I’m also a console player—I play on PlayStation. I also recently downloaded a new pack (Royalty & Legacy).
