EA Community Managers are already teasing up the next Sims 4 Update!
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten news about the next The Sims 4 Update. Today there’s an official confirmation from an EA Community Manager, stating that the next update “is an update alright”, rather than just a bug-fixes release.
Community Manager Cade also confirmed the general focus of Sims 4 improvements for the first half of may. Confirming that we’re already on track to see improvements for Infants, Toddlers and General Sim Autonomy. The feedback for these were collected weeks ago in the linked Discord Feedback discussions, and it seems we’re already getting the final product release in May 2026.
The Community Manager noted that we’re first getting a Laundry List “in very early may”, shortly after which you should expect this Update to drop.

EA Community Manager: Oh it’s an update alright, but you’ll need to wait for the Laundry List to drop for more than that
Infants, Toddlers, and general Sim autonomy are the focuses of our upcoming Base Game update in May. Watch for the Laundry List in very early May.
Statement: iโve had a few of the bug reports iโve commented on get updated with โfix comingโ or however itโs worded
EA Community Manager: That’s great! “Upcoming Fix” is our last stop in the life of a bug before we release an update to resolve them.
Ongoing Work
Weโre currently in final testing for a fix for the Secret Witness sentiment issue and expect it to be included in our Base Game update in May. Weโre also wrapping up work on resolving reports of the Scandal icon not dismissing properly, which is likewise targeted for the May update.

Can we add pressure on the sims team to find a real fix to the black photos and white paintings glitch? Their just gonna ignore it otherwise. Also, please sign the action network petition if you haven’t already.
There is a quick fix. When you snap photos, save your game. I wish they would fix that issue in general instead of finding workarounds. The whole Wedding Story pack needs a fixing haul.

I wish they fixed a bug with a call off wedding interaction. It broke after R&L and it doesn’t seem to collect enough votes to be fixed. To be honest I’m annoyed that a bug must gain votes to be prioritized. If the functionality exists and it worked fine before I expect to be able to use it. โน๏ธ
It’s called No ‘Left at Alter’ Moodlet/Relationship change after calling off weddingSo basically after R&L update if you click cancel wedding during the ceremony it will stop but sims will not get any negative moodlets, also their relationship will not change. They will just be very happy the wedding got cancelled.

Are you going to address the serious problems with the gallery…….
oMG yes! I leave my sims who have infants and toddlers for awhile there are so many milestones and not enough sim time to complete them they are either dirty tired or hungry rarely settle to teach anything and then my sims dont get sleep half the time or eat or leave the house…though very realistic its hard to have fun with it every sim time.

None. You get update – new features, bug fixes, more bugs – itโs all โupdateโ.

I really having problems with infants. The parents doesn’t do what I tell them to, they just stand there beside the infants, the infant’s needs go down too quickly and they sleep too little. I hate playing with infants!
That’s because the black photos fix doesn’t fix photos already turned black. It is for new saves only.

I’ve got a question, can for the update be like real time scenario like. Sims have a certain date of there birthday and the calender actually has days and months. Because I think the Sims age too quickly for real time birthdays. What I mean is that, each sim have a birthday and which month their born in. It would be cool to pick the age of a dim when you first create them, change height in CAS. It would be so much easier to know how old they are, by their birthday, so not like, jump from toddler to preteen. It would say how old they are. So like kids and teens. For kids it would start at age 5-9 and then preteen be 10-12 and then teens be 13-17 and then young adult be 18-25 and then adult be 26+
Yeah, you can do some of that stuff with mods. It’s not gonna be an official sims fix.
Find a height slider and set ageing to slow and maybe there’s a calendar mod as well.

I would like that they update more autonomy for NPCs. The Sims is the game of my life but honestly after 25 years playing I am getting bored, literally falling asleep when I am playing.
O dont want to have full control of the stories, I would love that NPCs I am dating would call me more, for dinner, for dates, to go to their place, I never get these invites! I would like that my teenagers were invited for sleepovers that I dont need to follow if I dont want too. On a 8 Sims household, would be nice if they had more own life, going out with friends and weekends with their relationships for example, just like normal life! I would love to be with my sim girl getting invited for dinner the next day with the guy she was on a date the day before, and things like that. I don’t want to control everything, all the time! Have to be controlling her and then have to load 2 screens to go to his place and control him to take her out, this is so passive!!!
I’ve never had any issues coming from For Rent, from my understanding there have been multiple instances that reduce the corruption issues and they are still working towards making it happen even less.

I have been trying to figure out who to talk to when I have issues with pacjs not installing. I ordered a bunch during this last sale. Some automatically installed, and others have not. I have PLENTY of memory. There is nothing waiting to download, that is empty. I had to restore licensing still not working. So I do not know if this is a “bug” issue or what PLEASE HELP

I also noticed three bugs I was tracking get updated yesterday. One of them being the stuck acne bug.
Kinda excited to try out the autonomy fixes.

As someone currently struggling hard to get through raising a family of three infants I am more than ready for this update. Itโs almost unplayable.

And 2 and a half years later and still no fix for the For Rent corruption.
I’ve never had any issues coming from For Rent, from my understanding there have been multiple instances that reduce the corruption issues and they are still working towards making it happen even less.
