Kids Room Stuff is the seventh Stuff Pack for The Sims 4! It’s primary focus is the Child Age group – bringing new CAS and Build Items, as well as some interesting new gameplay. But, is it worth the retail price of $9,99?

This review is based on 10+ hours of deep gameplay. Even though I was given an early review copy to test the game, I am not by any means paid or bribed to state positive (or negative) opinions about this stuff pack. I will give my honest opinion of the stuff pack; its content and what it brings to the game.
Kids Room Stuff brings 40 new items exclusively for children! That includes new hairstyles, tops, bottoms, outfits and shoes for your child sims to wear.
The Sims Team wasn’t cheap on swatches. Actually, there’s even one t-shirt design with over 50 swatches! You’ll see plenty of new patterns and colors that will suit your child just right.
This section of new content didn’t disappoint either. The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff brings 40 new build items that’ll be just enough to make any child room unique, colorful and vibrant.
There are also just enough swatches for each object that will make two of the same objects still look very different.
There are 2 new gameplay objects with Kids Room Stuff: the Puppet Theatre and Battle Station which requires Voidcritters – brand new collectibles that can be found all around neighborhoods.
The Puppet Theatre is a cute new object which will build up your Child’s social skill as he/she continues performing puppet shows. Progressing through the social skill will also unlock new puppet shows . You can invite other Sims to watch your show or you can perform them alone.
Even though the appeal of The Puppet Theatre may wear off, it still brings enough gameplay and moodlets to make it a nice addition to this Pack.
The Battle Station and Voidcritter collectibles are features that really stand out in this Pack.
Voidcritters are cute new monsters that can be collected in form of collectible cards. You can buy Booster Packs or search for these cards in any Neighborhood by looking for discarded toys in trash and in logs that spawn every now and then.
There are 20 Voidcritters and each Voidcritter has its own element (there are 5 elements in total). You can train these Voidcritters on the Battle Station which will boost their power levels and finally, battle against another Voidcritter which is controlled by another Sim. This is a really tactiful game as some elements are stronger / weaker when paired with a certain element.
Interesting fact about Voidcritter gameplay: only Child Sims can see special effects during a battle / training sesion (as shown below). The Sims Team wanted to show their use of imagination they didn’t fail!
The New TV Channel often plays shows about Voidcritters – featuring some of the characters from MySims!
The Sims Team collaborated with real artists to bring you 4 new songs in Simlish!
If you own The Sims 4 Get Together Expansion Pack, you’ll get 2 new club activities for your children to enjoy.

The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff comes with a Puppet Theatre – exclusive for Children use!
It comes with 2 Interactions:
As you progress through your child Social Skill, you’ll unlock new Puppet Shows to perform!
Puppet Shows:
Sims who don’t have a high Social Skill will often forget their Puppet – showing their bare hand!
Although only one Sim can perform the Puppet Show, multiple Sims can enjoy the Show!
Both Sims who enjoy the show and the Sim who performs it will get certain Moodlets after the show is over.
Tip: Sims who hate Children will get an Angry Moodlet from watching the Puppet Show.

In this Article, you’ll learn all about the Battle Station, Voidcritters, where to find them, their abilities and more!
Voidcritters are trainable Monsters that can be battled against each other in the Voidcritter Battle Station. They can be found in a form of cards that, once collected, can be found in your Inventory.
Voidcritter Cards can be found and collected with these options:
This interaction only brings a possibility of finding a Voidcritter Card. Sometimes Child Sims will actually find a card or two, but sometimes they might end up finding a toy or nothing at all. On the trash can, this action can be done every few hours. Meanwhile, if you Look for Discarded Toys in the log, the log will disappear and you can try to find another log nearby.
This friendly interaction will give one of your Voidcritter Cards to the Child Sim you’re socializing with in return for a Card you possibly don’t have.
You can purchase one or five Voidcritter Cards from the computer. Although this is one of the easiest to get a Voidcritter Card, the rarity of a purchased card is usually common. Purchased Booster Packs can be found in the inventory and require to be opened.

Leif. Barry. Lora. Finn. Ellie. These are the revered names of legendary Voidcritter trainers, masters of the five elements. Will your Sims’ children be the next honored member of this elite circle? They’ll have the chance to become legend on June 28th in The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff*.
Voidcritter monsters are the inspiration for a collectible card game that Sim kids can compete over – the first of its kind in The Sims franchise. Spanning five powerful elements (earth, fire, wind, water, and void) there are twenty monsters in total to find. While the more common critters can be acquired by ordering card booster packs from a computer, rarer monsters are better discovered by searching the world to see what you can find. Reach inside a hollow log here, dig through the trash over there… it’s all worth it if you have a hope of catching them all.
You can even trade Voidcritters with other kids in the neighborhood in hopes of landing a card that eludes you. In addition, each monster card has a limited edition foil variant that can be unearthed, and is totally the envy of every other kid in the neighborhood.
As great as each Voidcritter card looks when displayed on a shelf, you’ll unlock their true potential by giving your Sims the Battle Station, an electronic arena where the Voidcritters come to life. Select the Voidcritter which will gain your favor in combat – as you train them and lead them into battle, their power level will increase and play an important role in determining the winner. When each competitor inserts their critter card into the machine, the digital screen springs to life as kids attempt to button mash their way to victory while the battle unfolds. Elemental attacks even leap out of the screen, enhanced by a child’s own imagination.
Become the Voidcritter victor, the elemental egalitarian, and perhaps most importantly… the champion of the playground! This destiny awaits you in The Sims 4 Kids Room Stuff when it releases this June 28th.

Which outfit do you prefer more?
The latest Sims 4 Update brought a new addition for Kids – the Monster under the Bed feature!
The Monster will appear completely random after waking your Child Sim up from a nightmare. They appear from 6PM to 6AM and are only visible when controlling a Child Sim.
At first – not much. You can only ‘Talk to Monster under the Bed’ and ‘Yell At’, but these 2 interactions will help you become friends with the Monster.
Your first attempts at talking to the Monster won’t be successful though. Try mixing in the Yell At interaction every now and then for results.
Once you befriend the Monster, you’ll unlock the following Interactions:
Although these interactions won’t influence your Sim much, they will boost your Social Need.

There are several ways you can make your Monster under the bed Disappear:
This interaction is available during night time and will keep your Sim safe from the monster for the entire night. If you’re not friends with the Monster and the Monster appears, your Child Sim will automatically call for a Sim older than him/her to spray the bed.

If you’re friends with the Monster you can ask it kindly to leave, keeping you safe for the current night.

If you want the Monster to stop appearing for good, you can purchase Coolala, The Defender Wall Light for 60 Simoleons.

There are 2 new Buffs with this Update:
This Buff shows up when a Monster appears under your Bed that you haven’t befriended. It’ll give you a 2+ Uncomfortable moodlet for an hour and you won’t be able to sleep until you get rid of it.
This Buff shows up when a Monster appears under your Bed that you have befriended. It’ll give you a 2+ Energized moodlet for an hour.
