A short update on what to expect on The Sims 4's Roadmap "in the months ahead"
The team at Maxis and The Sims wants you to know about The Sims 4 Roadmap of content in the months ahead. The information shared in the trailer for today's Quality of Life improvements, the team member reassured players in the first part of the video that there will be more of:
Quality of Life improvements
Free Content drops
Collaborations and Partnerships
The "Partnerships" part was mentioned in the official Sims 4 Laundry List released today, shortly before introducing readers to a list of 150 game fixes and surprise features like Base Layers. Nobody expected this fresh twist to Create A Sim as a free addition!
When it comes to The Sims 4 Roadmap for 2026 though, we could've saw it coming already that there will be no more Packs for The Sims 4. As written in early March this year!
As for The Sims 4 Kits? We'll have to wait and see if they fall into that "Collaborations and Partnerships" section before making any quick judgements. After all, they were confirmed as a Roadmap feature back in March 2026!
As for the Marketplace, that already is a Collaboration with current Sims Makers.

The Sims 4 is soooo broken right now. 150 bug fixes doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. There are so many packs that simply don’t work… I guess EA understands this and that’s why they’re slowly moving on from TS4 despite how much money they’re making from it. But all things must come to an end. I hope they fix most bugs before it’s all over.

I do think the game has a ton of bugs. I especially don’t like going into CAS and having my controller disconnect as soon as I go to the tattoo section in the gallery or just using my gallery in general. The bugs I have the most are from CAS. Some bugs I feel create niche to the game and make the sims special. Although, a lot of bugs need to be addressed and fixed, I feel the sims is a growing platform and will always have something going wrong. Nothing can be perfect I feel and I love this game no matter what. At least the sims team acknowledges how we all feel and tries their best to meet everyone’s needs.

Not only the game is broken, but this website as well. It’s barely usable these past days (and even months since the last redesign).

Well, this “months ahead” promise is different from the one they gave originally. Now it’s absolutely clear that ts4 is sunset and we wont get any new gameplay. Just bug fixes are random cas/built recolors are not really enough to pretend the game is still develiping and having its time of its life.

How about listening to the players and fix the issues that are there then make the game worse
Players have asked for cars, rounded stairs and more pets., zoo, , zodiac signs back the color wheel,
It’s kinda odd you say you listen to players but it’s obvious you don’t

I do like the marketplace. CC had to be integrated as a all inclusive for platforms somehow. I don’t mind paying for Moola. I just don’t know if it’s possible to make the packs have a minimum amount of what can be in the pack. I don’t like needing to get 500 moola for three items in a maker kit pack thing. I play Xbox and just like updates and pack drops simmers aren’t obligated to pay for them. So really simmers don’t have to pay for a maker pack. At least the sims team is still doing updates and installing free content for better gameplay. I am sad the sims is not going to drop anymore sims packs. I still like the idea of big expansion packs or worlds. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having the marketplace and also releasing expansions still. If makers can integrate expansions they make or CC like adding menstrual cycles to the game or CC Sims and hair, then maybe the loss of expansion packs and little kits from the sims team won’t sting as much. I love the sims and will always enjoy playing the game and I’m excited to see what comes next.

I just want more life age packs. Another infant pack with clothes and furniture, toddlers one, child, teens, and elders. We don’t have much age specific clothing or furniture and the ones we do are completely outdated or poorly made. But all in all I can’t even bring myself to play for gameplay reasons because it’s just lacking in that area so much to do but yet nothing at the same time. Ive got more packs than I should and I haven’t played them to their extent because there’s no instructions on what to do and I shouldn’t have to watch a video to learn all I can do.
And as for marketplace itself? It’s gonna take time to get used to but there are some complaints. First of all the images are way too zoomed in. Second of all the scrolling just sucks. Its so bouncy it makes me dizzy and that never happens with me so it’s really bad.

The game is so so broken on console like I have every single pack and kit and I can’t even play without it crashing constantly it’s basically unplayable at this point.
