A complete guide to all of The Sims 4 Reward Traits from base game and all the packs.
The Sims 4 and its expansion packs include a lot of Reward Traits that Sims can earn through gameplay, completing Aspirations for example. Most of them appear alongside your Sim's personality traits. Most of them provide benefits while others provide additional challenges. And here you'll find the big list of The Sims 4 Reward Traits!
Table of Contents
What are the Reward Traits?
Reward traits are additional traits Sims can earn through gameplay. These usually appear along your Sim's Personality Traits and provide additional benefits and disadvantages to your Sim's life.
Because there are a lot of Reward Traits, the list we have compiled here is very long. So, if you want to find a desired trait, cosider utilizing your browser's search function. This is activated with Control + F keys (or Command + F if you're on Mac).
In addition, this list also includes trait's codenames under the description for each trait. This is the thing you need to use when using cheats. Info about using cheat codes can be found here. Here are the cheats you can use (replace [codename] with trait's codename):
| traits.equip_trait [codename] | Adds the trait to your Sim. |
| traits.remove_trait [codename] | Removes the trait from your Sim. |
There will be some traits that will be excluded from the list. These will be:
- Ghost Traits
- Toddler & Infant Quirks (can changed by Shift-clicking on your toddler/infant with testingCheats enabled under 'Pack Cheats.../Expansion Packs.../EP13 - Growing Together/Toddler or Infant Quirks')
- Lifestyles (can be also equipped through Shift-clicking on your Sim with testingCheats enabled under 'Cheat Sim Info...')
- Fears
- Traits from Events (as these can't be added if you haven't unlocked them from the event they're from)
Some traits may have interesting side-effects not mentioned in the description. For these, check out the notes.

The degrees your Sim can earn are considered as traits in the code. Degrees allow joining the career on a Branch level immediately (or very high level), but still benefit the pre-branch levels.
