However, one highly anticipated game has a big question remaining, and that is Loftia. Yet, when is the Loftia release?

What is Loftia?

Loftia started as a dream. The dream to create an online world where people could escape and relax with their friends. A place where people felt welcomed, could get involved, make meaningful connections and could call home. That journey began four years ago.

Fast forward to 2026, and Loftia is a highly anticipated stunning cosy life simulation MMO (massively multiplayer online) where community, shared progress and coming together to shape and build a sustainable world are the goals. Explore a vibrant and thriving world set amongst the floating islands in the sky. Players live alongside one another in neighbourhoods, collaborate on challenges and take on time-based missions which combine puzzles, platforming and exploration all together.

In many larger-scale MMO games, players will find themselves taking on dungeons and raids to hone in on their combat skills, whereas in Loftia, it's all about working collaboratively to reach the end goal instead.

However, there's more to Loftia than just that.

Loftia is a game where community is at the core of the game. It has played a central role in the game's development and has helped shape Loftia into the game it will be at launch. From farming, growing crops, building sustainable farming systems, character customisation, rescuing animals, world design and social systems, the community has been there every step of the way. Even more so since Loftia's April 2026 closed beta, where over 25,000 players took part and helped test the game on a much larger scale. A time when the playtest gave the development team some valuable information and data to help ensure things are ready for the early access Loftia release.

Who is Qloud Games?

Loftia has been created and developed by the independent studio, Qloud Games. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Qloud Games features a team with experience working on both indie games and AAA from across the world. A studio that, in 2022, initially started off with just two people has continued to bloom into a much respected and highly talented team spanning over forty passionate and talented team members.

Loftia will be the studio's debut release. One that is striving to pioneer a new subgenre into their genre. By combining popular features from life simulation games and social elements as well as more traditional cosy game elements. All of this and so much more encased in a solarpunk-inspired world.

The Kickstarter

From the moment the game launched on Kickstarter, it saw thousands of budding Loftians make their way over to help back and support the game. With over 17,000 backers and exceeding $1.3 million in support, Loftia went from strength to strength. Surpassing stretch goal after goal and building a community wanting to see and follow the game's development. This, through regular updates and insights into the Loftia development, only helped strengthen the games community and vision going forward.

Exclusive: Loftia Release Date

For what has felt like an eternity we've all known that the game was to release in 2026. However, it is now confirmed that Loftia will be releasing into Early Access on Tuesday, 3rd November 2026!

Yes, that's right, Loftia is launching into early access in approximately 6 weeks' time! That's really not too much longer to wait.

Now, with news of the official Loftia Release, the Qloud Games team has shared a new Loftia release date trailer. We've captured some of the best moments from it to showcase below in the gallery.

Release Platforms and Pricing

Loftia releases onto both PC and Mac as an Early Access game via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game will launch at the base price of $29.99USD/£26.99/€28.99. There will be an introductory launch discount saving players 17%. This will mean that Loftia will be available for $24.89USD/£22.40/€24.06 once the launch discount has been applied.

Pre-Register for Loftia

In the run up to the Loftia release, players can pre-register via the Loftia website. By doing so, this will allow anyone who does this to claim two limited time in-game rewards upon the game's release.

Post-Release Plans

Upon the Loftia release on 3rd November 2026, Qloud Games will continue to work on new content for the game. This currently includes plans for new activities, areas, social features and community-driven content as the Loftia universe continues to evolve and grow.
