Light up your Sims in Create A Sim with these lighting presets!
Have you ever found yourself thinking that the lighting in Create a Sim could be just that tiny bit better without needing to use a photo editor? Well, we may have the answer you’ve been looking for!
SimplyAnjuta has created several easy to use presets that you can add straight into your game!
Originally created for Halloween, SimplyAnjuta created a collection of four new presets that will give your screenshots that spooky Halloween look.
Citylight – an angled light with a touch of red and blue glow
Citylight: Torchlight – as above but with a torchlike effect
Neutral Light – an angled neutral light
Neutral Light: Torchlight – as above but with a torchlike effect
Additionally, SimplyAnjuta has created two more lighting presets for Create A Sim.
Golden Light
The Golden Light Create a Sim lighting preset is a beautiful addition to bring your screenshots to life.
This simple yet effective lighting preset gives your screenshots that extra bit of brightness and warmth that they were missing. It also is a great preset if you are looking at capturing your pets too!
The Spotlight and Daylight lighting presets are variants of the two presets that have been mentioned above.
Spotlight, while similar to the Golden Light preset, offers a smoother and more subtle glow.
However, the Daylight variant is SimplyAnjuta’s Torchlight preset, however it has been edited to make it look as though the light is coming from the sun instead.
Each of these presets are a wonderful addition for capturing your Sims in Create a Sim and allow you to get those beautiful one of a kind screenshots that we all know and love!
While SimplyAnjuta has created a number of Create A Sim lighting presets, they have also created two in-game lighting presets that you can find here.
What are you waiting for? Why not add one of these lighting presets, jump into Create a Sim and capture those screenshots!
Meet the Humans (and Hairy Werewolves) of Moonwood Mill!
The Sims 4 Werewolves comes with one premade family already living in Moonwood Mill, but there are five more households connected to Moonwood Mill that do not live in a home in the world. Most of the town’s residents are, unsurprisingly, werewolves.
So without any further delay, let’s meet the residents of Moonwood Mill!
The Volkov Household
Jacob Volkov – Human FormJacob Volkov – Wolf FormKristopher Volkov – Human FormKristopher Volkov – Wolf FormLily Zhu – Human FormLily Zhu – Wolf Form
Household Description
Kristopher Volkov has been around longer than most can remember. He founded and leads the Moonwood Collective, and is eager to take in any werewolf feeling displaced or lost.
Lily joined the household long ago, a lonely wanderer who had lost her closest friends to the vampires. After her came Rory, then Jacob. Though Rory’s relationship with her adoptive father has soured, Jacob and Kristopher’s connection has flourished. Both bear the same calm yet intense soul, and everyone in Moonwood Mill knows Kristopher intends for Jacob to be the heir to his pack.

Household Notes
The Volkov household is the only household that actually lives in a home in Moonwood Mill. All other Sims that come with the pack are homeless townies but the other werewolves in town have rabbithole pack hangouts where it’s assumed they live at.
Depending on other packs the player owns, the Volkov family may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, Kristopher comes with Parenting skill, the Wellness like, and a Great Reputation if Parenthood, Spa Day, and Get Famous are installed, respectively. Lily has the Vampire Lore skill if Vampires is installed. Jacob comes with high Character Values if Parenthood is installed.
Although not mentioned in the household description, Lily reveals through conversation in-game that Caleb and Lilith Vatore from the Vampires game pack are her cousins. They were close friends as children but grew apart when Caleb and Lilith became vampires.
Rory and Jacob are Kristopher’s children by adoption.
Although Rory no longer lives with her father and brother, she still has a bedroom in the home that appears to have remained untouched since she left; however, the room has a lot of wall and floor damage from werewolf claw marks. This might indicate that Rory lost her temper and trashed her room before she left and that her father hasn’t tidied up because he still misses her.
The Oaklow Household
Rory Oaklow – Human FormRory Oaklow – Wolf Form
Household Description
Most of Moonwood Mill knows Rory as the leader of the Wildfangs, but she first arrived as a confused young werewolf under the care of Kristopher Volkov. He tried to counsel control and to nurture her like one of his garden flowers, but the two grew apart as Rory grew up. His ideals and values stifled her inner wolf until Rory chose to listen to the beast inside her and moved out to form her own pack. Nowadays, Rory may seem like she has it all figured out, but deep down, she’s still discovering how to be the leader she always wished Kristopher could have been.
Rory Oaklow
Age: Young Adult Occult: Werewolf (Apex) Career: Freelancer (Undecided Trade) Aspiration: Renaissance Sim Walk Style: Swagger Voice: Melodic Traits: Self Assured | Ambitious | Hot-Headed | Quick Learner (Bonus) Skills: Charisma 3 | Dancing 3 | Fitness 9 | Handiness 3 | Knitting 2 | Violin 4 Relationships: Kristopher Volkov – Father | Jacob Volkov – Brother | Lou Howell – Friend | Greg – Despised Sentiments: Jacob Volkov – Deeply Connected Likes: METAL MUSIC, Fitness, Knitting, Violin, Blue Dislikes: Queen Anne Décor Pack Affiliations: Wildfangs (Alpha) Werewolf Abilities: Scavenger, Natural Healing, Pack Howl, Curse Bearer, Primal Instincts, Alpha Wolf, Immortal Wolf Dormant Abilities Unlocked: Werewolf Empathy, Lunar Epiphany, Transformation Mastery Werewolf Temperaments: Hates Being Wet, Prideful, Restless Animal, Big Bad Wolf
Household Notes
Rory doesn’t live in a home in the world but it’s assumed she “lives” at the trailer in town that serves as the Wildfangs’ hangout.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Rory may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, Rory likes Metal music and Knitting, both of which are part of the Nifty Knitting Stuff pack. She also comes with a Good Reputation if Get Famous is installed.
The Sims Team stated that they did not have time to implement the newly-introduced pronoun update in the Werewolves game pack so Rory uses she/her pronouns in the game, but many players are in agreement that Rory was originally intended to be non-binary and use they/them pronouns. For this reason, either she/her or they/them pronouns are considered suitable for Rory by the fanbase.
Although her relationship with her father is strained, Rory still seems to maintain a close relationship with her younger brother. For players wishing to play out a reconciliation arc with these Sims, Jacob may be able to serve as the bridge between Rory and Kristopher.
The Wilder Household
Wolfgang Wilder – Human FormWolfgang Wilder – Wolf Form
Household Description
Wolfgang has lived in Moonwood Mill for decades, where he’s been documenting the history of werewolves and trying to give them a brighter future. A famous author who specializes in werewolf “fiction,” his books have introduced the idea of the “friendly neighborhood werewolf” into popular culture. Because he uses a pen name, nobody realizes he himself is actually the very thing he champions.
Wolfgang Wilder
Age: Young Adult Occult: Werewolf (Prime) Career: Librarian (NPC Role) Aspiration: Bestselling Author Walk Style: Default Voice: Brash Traits: Gloomy | Creative | Bookworm | Muser (Bonus) Skills: Fitness 5 | Photography 4 | Vampire Lore 2 | Writing 7 Relationships: Kristopher Volkov – Good Friend | Lily Zhu – Friend | Greg – Despised Sentiments: None Likes: Classical Music, Writing Dislikes: METAL MUSIC, Bowling Pack Affiliations: Moonwood Collective (Delta), Friend of the Wildfangs Werewolf Abilities: Wolf Nap, Hunter, The Will to Resist, Sombre Howl, Lunar Blessing Dormant Abilities Unlocked: Werewolf Empathy, Lunar Epiphany, Werewolf Diplomacy, Transformation Mastery Werewolf Temperaments: Hates Being Wet, Grumpy Wolf, Sensitive Hearing
Household Notes
Wolfgang doesn’t live in a home in the world but it’s assumed he “lives” in the hollowed tree outside town that serves as the Moonwood Collective hangout. He can be made playable through marriage or move-in but he will lose his NPC role as a librarian and become unemployed.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Wolfgang may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, he dislikes Metal music and Bowling, which are part of the Nifty Knitting and Bowling Night Stuff packs, respectively. He has skill in Vampire Lore, which comes with the Vampires game pack, and he starts out with a Good Reputation if Get Famous is installed.
Wolfgang is a member of the Moonwood Collective pack, but is also a friend to the Wildfangs’ pack even though he is not personally close with any of the Wildfangs’ members.
The Howell Household
Lou Howell – Human FormLou Howell – Wolf Form
Household Description
Shortly after Lou’s arrival in Moonwood Mill, he tried to impress his date Celene by taunting the town’s notoriously feral werewolf, Greg. His poor decision led to painful consequences for both him and Celene, but while she sought a remedy, Lou figured he could just ride this one out…which didn’t turn out as anticipated. Will this master of mischief learn to love his new inner wolf or will he try and find a way out of the mess he’s found himself in?
Lou doesn’t live in a home in the world but it’s assumed he “lives” in the trailer in town that serves as the Wildfangs’ hangout.
Lou’s household bio reveals that he was turned into a werewolf recently while on a date with Celene however, he and Celene are just Acquaintances with no romance bar. He does have the Smitten sentiment with her, though, which indicates he and Celene were not very serious and that date was most likely their first one.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Lou may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, he likes S-Pop Music and has the Singing skill, both which come with the City Living expansion pack.
Although he has the Art Lover trait, Lou dislikes Painting which is an odd choice. He does, however, like many different genres of music and he can sing so his Art Lover trait may pertain more to musical art rather than visual art.
The López Household
Household Description
Ever since she was a little girl, Celene has been fascinated by romanticized tales of lycanthropy. However, she got more than she bargained for while on a midnight date in the woods. Thankfully, she discovered an antidote which prevented her transformation. She’s more cautious now, but her position as the local barkeep gives her a front row view to the wondrous world of werewolves without the risk of injury.
Celene López
Age: Young Adult Career: Bartender (NPC Role) Aspiration: Neighbourhood Confidante Walk Style: Default Voice: Sweet Traits: Geek | Neat | Outgoing | Gregarious (Bonus) | Werewolf Ally (Reward) Skills: Charisma 3 | Cooking 4 | Herbalism 2 | Mixology 7 Relationships: Greg – Despised Sentiments: Greg – Festering Grudge Likes: Strange Tunes, Mixology, Blue Dislikes: Mischief Pack Affiliations: Friend of the Moonwood Collective, Friend of the Wildfangs
Household Notes
Celene doesn’t live in a home in the world but there is a communal living space underneath the bar where she works that has bunk beds so one might imagine that’s where she sleeps. She can be made playable through marriage or move-in but she will lose her NPC role as a bartender and become unemployed.
Celene is the only human “living” in Moonwood Mill and appears to be on good terms with all of her werewolf neighbours, except for Greg, who bit her while she was exploring the woods on a date with Lou. She was able to find a cure for herself before she became a werewolf and will now help the player cure themselves of Lycanthropy if they ask her about it at the bar.
Depending on other packs the player owns, Celene may have extra skills, perks, or likes/dislikes. For example, she has the Herbalism skill which comes with the Outdoor Retreat game pack and she likes Strange Tunes music, which comes with the StrangerVille game pack.
Even though Lou has the Smitten sentiment with Celene, she has no romantic sentiments towards him, no romance bar, and no indication that their date ever went further into a committed relationship, so it seems as if Lou’s affections for Celene are one-sided.
Greg doesn’t live in a home in the world but there is a secluded trailer on the edge of town where he is supposed to reside. He only spawns when Sims examine the warning signs posted outside his trailer and will almost always attack any nearby Sims on sight.
Greg is a “secret” townie in the game, meaning he can only be spawned under particular circumstances and he will not be available to edit in the Manage Households menu. The only way to edit Greg is to make him playable via cheats or mods and manually add him to your household.
Greg is considered a “lone wolf” and hates all the other werewolves in town. Players aspiring to become a master lone wolf themselves will have to eventually win in a brawl against Greg.
Through researching the local lore in the game, players will discover that Greg’s full name is Greggorius Lunvik and he was one of the original Mooncasters (Spellcasters who had wolf familiars and derived their powers from them, eventually taking on their wolf’s characteristics and becoming the first werewolves). His wolf familiar was named Brutus.
Greg is a widower who was once married to a woman named Avalina Lunvik. His wedding ring is the only item of clothing he still wears while in his wolf form.
The Sims 4 High School is bringing Fashion AND a Clothing App!
On top of many things that we’ve reported on coming to both The Sims 4 and the High School Expansion Pack, we would’ve never expected that another huge update would be coming.
That’s right – Likes & Dislikes are being updated to FASHION in The Sims 4!
In an interview with Polygon, Lead Developer George Pigula confirmed the arrival of the feature to the game.
“Sims will learn to juggle school and extracurricular events, form lifelong friends, and experience big moments like prom,” shared High School Years lead producer George Pigula.
“They can even develop their own fashion likes & dislikes with the new Trendi app with clothes designed by Depop sellers.”
This is another huge update on The Sims 4 Base Game, if we assume that the Fashion Preferences in Likes & Dislikes are being added. On top of that, the new Trendi App promises to sell clothes designed exclusively by Depop sellers.

Just 2 days ago we reported on an image that surfaced the internet. An image of Curved Walls. In The Sims 4.
The leaker that we written about didn’t have any information about who they are and who they might be.
Since I know a few kind folks at EA Executive Chairs always read our articles through and through – it goes without saying like I’ve always said – we didn’t do it.We are here to report on the news, updates and articles to our community.
ARTICLE UPDATE: Our reader yxrden was able to spot a first Round Wall – disguised as a potted plant!
Oh wait no actually – what’s that Round Wall in the background?!?! Thanks to the community for the updates!
Amazing modder RAVASHEEN was able to uncover what was hiding underneath the latest Update for The Sims 4. It was new code for Walls Placement:
I saw a lot of changes in the S4S update and with the curved wall theory circling around it seems like the new settings could support this idea! In object catalog there is a new ‘Wall Optional’ box under PlacementFlagsLow and tons of new options for PlacementFlagsHigh.
Please note this is Pure Speculation as of now. But at least we have an image!
Well this has been the weirdest leak I’ve seen yet.
Someone made a Twitter account to post just one image. An image of nothing more, nothing less but of Curved Walls. And all apparently in The Sims 4:
Twitter user throwmeaway doesn’t have any posts or images other than this Tweet. We are very suspicious, but also intrigued at the same time.
The terrain in the leaked Screenshot is resembling the terrain from the upcoming world of The Sims 4 High School Years.
But how did this image got out? Is it really true that Curved Walls are coming to The Sims 4 or did someone manage to professionally play on this image and tease the community?

Our reader Devavardhan thinks The Sims Team already teased this feature with “Customizable Halls and Walls”:
The Sims Team did say they have things to talk about in their upcoming Livestream on July 15th about upcoming Updates to The Sims 4 Base Game:
Teen years and high school are the launching points for self-discovery. Creating even more ways for Sims to explore their identities, a free base game update will go live alongside the release of High School Years, introducing an additional new feature that will add more choice and opportunity for discovery to your Sims’ lives.
The free base game update will also introduce body hair. For those with the High School Years Expansion Pack, Sims will be able to groom and trim their body hair’s natural growth over time, celebrating that transition through puberty.
You can learn more about the new base game updates coming to The Sims 4 on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11am PDT
Emphasis on the plural of “Updates”.
I’m not sure about this one yet. But also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s real at this point.
Take those collections out of storage and decorate your sims’ house with them!
For a lot of players, finishing collections is an important part of the game. However, there are very few display shelves to show off these collections. Today, we’re showing off a set of displays for collections by somecreativecc. She has created 22 display items so far for The Sims 4.
All display items are Base Game Compatible even if the collection is not. Although these displays are for specific collections, they work with anything of a similar size or smaller.
Display Items
This Voidcritter Display holds all 20 Voidcritter cards. Each type of card getting its own shelf. It comes in 9 in 9 swatches. If you are collecting the foil Voidcritter cards, you will need two of these shelves. This Voidcritter Display holds all 20 Voidcritter cards. Each type of card getting its own shelf. It comes in 9 in 9 swatches. If you are collecting the foil Voidcritter cards, you will need two of these shelves. The Simmie Collection display is a wooden piece that can be placed on the wall. It has nooks for each and every Simmie, including the Golden Simmies. It has 7 swatches. The Holiday Cracker Collection, which contains eight Meduso figurines, has a display shelf that goes on the wall and has eight colored cubby holes. Each cubby is a different color. There are two different swatches. The Familiar Display Shelf holds all eleven familiars in a free standing cabinet with eight swatches.MySims Trophies have their own colorful display case that is color coordinated to the statues. There is room for all twenty MySims trophies and has three swatches. The Ribbon Case stores up to nine ribbons. Unfortunately, this cannot store every ribbon possible to win in game, but it stores enough for most simmers. There are eleven swatches. The Insect display neatly displays every insect next to each other. It hangs on the wall. There are nine swatches. The Wand Collection Display only displays five wands, but would work great for the average spellcaster’s collection. There are six swatches. This compact shelf easily stores the Snow globe collection. It has the perfect number of slots and nine swatches.Decorative Eggs have their own egg shaped, wall-mounted display. There are exactly the number of slots and has three swatches. Although the theme is on point, it won’t fit into as many different decors as some of the other items. The Alien Collection display is exactly what you’d expect from an alien-themed display. The metal shelves look like they’d be part of a lab or in a secret facility. But, unlike the other items, it’s more difficult to see all the items displayed. Depending on what you’re using the display for, this set up will either be perfect or awkward.Fossils have this nice shelving unit that leans up to the wall. There are eight swatches.Next, Jungle Adventure Artifacts have a display case like you would see at museums. Unfortunately, it would require multiple cases to store the entire collection. But, since this would be typical for things in a museum, it is understandable. The display case has eight swatches.Jungle Adventure Treasures can also be placed in a display case. Their case has the exact number of slots as there are treasures in the game. The display case has eight swatches. The display for the Metals is a two-side table with glass around it and a partition in the center. Unfortunately, it does not fit every metal. It has three swatches. The Island Living display is perfect for putting anything on, but I chose to display the Buried Treasures Collection. It fit perfectly with the display. The display has nine swatches. The Frogs Display is a relatively large shelving unit. It has signs on every shelf to identify every frog. There is enough room to put every frog type on the shelves and was pretty easy to figure out what frog went where. In total, the display has four swatches. The Crystals display is a multilevel square display with room for most of the crystals. There are ten swatches in total.
Conclusion
Not only will these shelves come in handy for those that like to collect, but many of them will be great for other purposes. The MySims, Simmies, and Voidcritter shelves will go great in a child or teen room; Or even a geeky adult. If your sim is an explorer, having the jungle adventure display cases would be a realistic way to store the items brought back. And some of the shelves will work well to decorate rooms or store items.
The Sims website has published a new blog post talking about the collaborations done with Fashion Designers.
These Fashion Designers mentioned below worked on Create A Sim Fashion for The Sims 4 High School Years – coming this month!
Check out the First Look at the CAS Collaborations:
Our players make The Sims every day. They play to express their individualities, interests and aspirations. They inspire us to keep innovating and improving. They’re creators in every sense of the word.
For The Sims™ 4 High School Years Expansion Pack, The Sims and Depop worked with five creative individuals who create and sell clothes on Depop, the fashion marketplace app reshaping the way fashion is made. These sellers collaborated with The Sims to design new original in-game fashion items, which players can purchase for their teen Sims in the game’s local thrift store and boba hangout, ThriftTea. Sims will be able to hype up their favorite to increase the value of the outfit, and earn Simoleons by selling outfits they curate on the new in-game Trendi app, and become a “Simfluencer” in the process.
As the ultimate form of self-expression, fashion plays a cosmic role in a teen’s life. These sellers drew inspiration from their IRL Depop stores to create custom pieces for the game. Depop sellers include US-based Bella McFadden (@internetgirl), with her pinstripe capri pants and a custom beaded necklace, and Jeremy Salazar (@happyxloco) who has designed a selection of graffiti-inspired jackets and sweatshirts in his signature style. British sellers Selena Williams (@Selenasshop) and Lapoze McTribouy of Sooki Sooki Vintage (@judaku) have also created items, including Y2K-inspired flared jeans and a red cropped corset, and Australian seller Sha’an d’Anthes (@furrylittlepeach) illustrated pieces inspired by her IRL collection.
High School Years will encourage teen Sims to discover their personal style, set trends, and become Simfluencers – all while rocking the unique clothes designed by our featured Depop sellers. These creators inspire people of all ages to express themselves through fashion, and we sat down with Bella, Jeremy, Selena, Lapoze and Sha’an to talk about their passions, inspirations, and pieces created for the game.
Through the Sims, you’re able to be as creative as you want with personal style and fashion. What would your Sim be wearing right now?
Bella: I base my clothing choices completely on mood! Today I’m wearing a camouflage cargo mini skirt, a chopped and screwed thermal top and vintage Le Grand Bleu combat boots. So I’d probably dress my Sim along those lines!
Jeremy: My Sim right now would be wearing bunny slippers, the kitty face shirt I designed for The Sims, ripped jeans and some cool face paint makeup!
Selena: As it’s almost summer here in the UK and the weather is finally heating up, my Sim would be wearing a floral crochet top, paired withvintage denim Levi’s shorts, chunky platform sandals, 70s style sunglasses and a cute colourful bag.
Sha’an: Definitely a primary coloured fit or something monochrome – I love a tonal ensemble!
Lapoze: My Sim would definitely be wearing a pair of bell bottom jeans, a crop top and some massive high heeled boots. She’s definitely a 70s type of girl.
Why is personal style and fashion important to you?
Bella: Dressing up in the morning is the most vital part of my day. It’s a reflection of who I want to be represented as – I correlate fashion with confidence.
Jeremy: Personal style and fashion is important to me because it’s a reflection of the way my heart beats. I can’t help but express it.
Selena: Personal style and fashion is important to me and a way for me to express myself; it’s a way for me to show my personality through clothing. I also feel that when I’m wearing a banging outfit, it can instantly change my mood. It can make me feel happy and confident and ready for anything.
Sha’an: Personal style is an amazing opportunity to let people know who you are before they actually speak to you. I love being able to express myself every morning when I’m putting together an outfit!
Lapoze: Personal style and fashion is so important to me, because it gives me power to present myself in the way that I want to, to the world. People learn a little bit about my personality in the clothes that I wear and I love that.
Tell us more about the pieces you created for the game, how did your personal style inform these items?
Bella: I am BEYOND hyped on the pieces! There’s going to be two pieces from my personal line, iGirl: our Sin Skirt which is a Vinyl Micro Mini Skirt with D-Rings, and our classic iGirl Pendant translated to Simlish! I also cooked up a very Y2K Mall Goth pair of Pinstripe Capris.
Jeremy: The pieces I created for the game were all based off of my spray painted characters I use on my clothing like flowers, ice creams and a kitty with smiley faces in them. My personal style inspired these pieces with playfulness and bright colors. The clothing designs I chose for The Sims are like a fantasy but you can wear them in real life.
Selena: The pieces I created for the game were based around items of clothing I love! They depict my favourite fashion era; they’re colourful and bold which closely represents my own personal style and the overall feel of my vintage shop.
Sha’an: Over the last couple of years I’ve been releasing limited edition wearables online – starting with tees, and most recently our customised vintage denim campaign with Depop. The clothing we created for The Sims is an extension of the playfulness of those items and my illustrative work, without the limitations of being a real life physical garment!
Lapoze: The pieces that I created for the game, highlight my love for The disco era, but also my fun and care-free take on life. I definitely designed these clothes to induce dopamine.
Your self-expression through art and fashion has inspired many people. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
Bella: A lot of people think Tumblr is dead…but I am walking proof that it is alive and well! I pull inspiration from my favourite blogs on Tumblr CONSTANTLY, which currently consists of archival Mall Goth photos, 2010s Taylor Momsen stage looks, Rob Zombie movie stills and plenty of cursed imagery.
Jeremy: My biggest inspiration is nature and whatever environment I am immersed in. That has been skateboarding culture lately.
Selena: My biggest inspiration has been the two greatest women in my life, my mum and my grandma. I remember even as a kid being in awe of my mum’s outfits. I always thought she looked so beautiful and stylish! Even when I look back on pictures of her when she was younger they still inspire me now. My grandmother was also very iconic in her younger years; her outfits were so well put together. When I was around 12, I remember looking through her wardrobe at all her incredible clothes, coats and accessories. I think it’s so inspiring to see how confident they were within their own style. I also take inspiration from the people I see around me; I love being in big cities and just people-watching and taking in all the fabulous street style.
Sha’an: I am super inspired by colour and always have been. It’s a huge part of my personal style as well as my illustrative work. It all begins with colour for me!
Lapoze: My biggest inspiration are my parents. They both drilled into my brother and I, that we should show off our authentic and creative selves to the world. When I was younger, I would see my mum and dad style each other, even pick hairstyles for each other. Fashion in that sense, is a sort of love language for me.
Do you like to follow trends or have you found your own, individualized style?
Bella: My style changes constantly. Something I’ve learned over the years is to “never say never” to certain clothing articles because one day you’ll probably love it! Back in the day I used to express my hatred for cowboy boots and vests but now I’m 100% a fan! You gotta stay open-minded constantly.
Jeremy: My style has evolved over the years by becoming more confident to not stay in a box of one particular style. I can be many versions of myself through fashion and enjoy the energy it evokes. I try my best to not pay attention to trends but it’s impossible with social media, so they end up in my designs and personal styling. So I try to find ways to do it slightly unique to my own taste.
Selena: I found when I was younger and I was still finding my own sense of style I would follow trends as I lacked the confidence to wear clothes that were a little more “out there.” Now I’m older and after exploring and experimenting a lot, I feel like I’ve finally found my own style. I like to wear things that are going to bring me joy, make me feel confident and allow me to express myself. I also like to change it up as I’m definitely a tomboy at heart, so some days I love to wear jeans, a tee and some chunky Dr Martens. But then the next day you’ll catch me in a 70s flowy dress.
Sha’an: I feel like my style lives in the universe I’ve created with my work – but of course trends and what’s available (thrifted or new) can dictate what pieces are available to you so they play a part for sure!
Lapoze: My style has definitely evolved. I was inspired by many subcultures when I was younger, and I am to this day. I get inspiration from 90s skaters, the 70s punk movement and even this new buzzword called “Dopamine Dressing”. I steal like an artist when it comes to my style. What I get inspired by, I add to my own personal style and create a mish mash catered to me.
You’ve created careers for yourselves out of self-expression and creativity. Do you think your Sim would also have a career as an artist or influencer, or would they be doing something completely different?
Bella: My favorite part of The Sims is the fact that you have the opportunity to be someone else. I like giving my Sim a totally different, wacky career path than the one I’ve chosen in real life! I would probably be a scientist.
Jeremy: I think my Sim’s career would be some type of artist, like a musician. I can see them playing classical piano music while looking super edgy.
Selena: One of my dream jobs is to be a full time fashion stylist, working for a big brand like Gucci. My Sim would definitely pursue this career and she’d absolutely smash it!
Sha’an: The best thing about The Sims is that you can live life as a completely different person if you want to. When I play The Sims I like to pick a completely different career than my own, then I ignore my job and usually end up trying to move into another family’s mansion!
Lapoze: My Sim would definitely be in the creative industry. I could probably see her being both a photographer and Model. She’s fabulous just like her creator!

The Gurus have excitingly shared the special previews!
The announcement of The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion Pack is something I’m still catching up onto after yesterday. It really goes without saying that with a Pack this big you have to process information one step at a time.
Not because there’s too much happening, but because it’s too good to be true. Is this really what we’re getting this July?! An Expansion Pack that actually feels like one?!?!
Either way, The Sims 4 High School Years Developers (also known as SimGurus) have shared their In-Game Screenshots from the Pack. Let’s take a look!
I had to make a comparison of my adult and teen self. I just couldn’t figure out if I should’ve gone with my long hair phase or not. Either way. SimGuruGeorge currently, and as a teenager.
The Sims Franchise makes High School History Books by making LGBTQ+ Couples the Starring Roles of a Cover! No straight people this time around. (with all due respect)
Today’s announcement of The Sims 4 High School Years is something we’re still processing here at Sims Community.
Until we do so, here are the assets as per ush. There’s the official Logo, Icon, Screens, Renders and oh…what is that on the Cover?
…Are those…Homosexuals?!
And Lesbians too?!?!
And THAT’S IT???!?!?!
Are my eyes really deceiving me or are LGBTQ+ Sims Characters the main starring role after playing so many diversity token roles in the past?!
That is correct. For the first time ever, The Sims Pack Cover features an ensemble of ONLY LGBTQ+ Characters. And i couldn’t be more happy.
I have more to talk about the History of LGBTQ+ Diversity in The Sims in the coming months. However, let’s get back to our regular schedule of showing you the Official Assets for The Sims 4 High School Expansion Pack!
We waited 8 years for this moment. But it was worth it!
It’s High School Season in The Sims 4 with the Upcoming Expansion Pack! To celebrate the ocassion, we are getting something that we should’ve gotten with the Werewolves Game Pack just a few days ago. But, we’re getting it very soon next month.
Yup, I’m talking about Body Hair!
In the reveal for The Sims 4 High School there’s exclusive footage of what Body Hair looks like in The Sims 4. Check out the first looks:
We got a teeny tinsy look at Chest and Arm Hair. At least one of the ariants for them:
Back Hair too:
Shaver?!?!
I barely even know her!!!
Oh, and how could I forget Leg Hair?!
First details about Body Hair and their incorporation with High School Expansion Pack has been revealed in the official Blog Post:
The free base game update will also introduce body hair. For those with the High School Years Expansion Pack, Sims will be able to groom and trim their body hair’s natural growth over time, celebrating that transition through puberty.
So that pretty much settles it – Body Hair will come to The Sims 4 Base Game for FREE as Create A Sim options. You’ll be able to groom and trim your body hair (with natural growth as a feature) through the High School Expansion Pack.

The Sims Team has released the first Official Blog Post for The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion Pack.
Check it out!
[The PA system crackles as it turns on and the principal starts their morning announcement.]
Good morning, students and faculty of Copperdale High! Welcome back to another adventure-filled school year. For those of you that are new to our school and town, we’re excited to have you joining our dear community! Once renowned for its booming mining industry, Copperdale is a small town nestled on the banks of Lake LaSuli where you can truly live out your teenage dreams, explore your identity, and test boundaries through choices and growth.
We are so proud of our community creators and the seven lots they built in Copperdale, including MsGryphi, who built ThrifTea–the thrift store and local boba hangout, xfreezerbunnyx, who built the library, and JOL1990, who built the high school principal’s old money mansion.
We’ll be giving tours of the school and town after the final bell today, and all are welcome to join.
Here’s to all the memories we’ll be making together this school year.
Go Copperdale Womp Womps!
Carving Your Own Path in High School
Copperdale High is the center of your teen Sims’ world. Inside these halls, Sims participate in everything that makes high school such a formative time in life, from building lifelong friendships, to selecting our favorite extracurricular activities and graduating into adulthood.
During school hours, Sims attend class, hang out with friends, have lunch in the cafeteria, take weekly exams, and hopefully avoid being scolded by the principal who patrols the halls! After school, students can participate in activities like football, cheerleading, chess, and computer clubs, go to events like the science fair, or head home to their poster-filled bedroom to complete their homework.
In terms of extracurriculars, teen Sims can join an after-school club or team like football or cheer, practice these skill related activities, participate in competitions, and experience the highs and lows of winning and losing alongside your teammates.
You’ll even have the opportunity to navigate through the challenges and joys of young love, whether it’s the blissfulness of the crush stage, or the woes of a teenage breakup. A word of advice: Plumbite Pier is the perfect date spot! There is an amusement park with a haunted house, tunnel of love, a ferris wheel, and a photobooth for memories!
Explore Your Teen Identity
Teen years and high school are the launching points for self-discovery. Creating even more ways for Sims to explore their identities, a free base game update will go live alongside the release of High School Years, introducing an additional new feature that will add more choice and opportunity for discovery to your Sims’ lives.
The free base game update will also introduce body hair. For those with the High School Years Expansion Pack, Sims will be able to groom and trim their body hair’s natural growth over time, celebrating that transition through puberty.
You can learn more about the new base game updates coming to The Sims 4 on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11am PDT on Twitch and YouTube.
Express Your Creativity With Pranks and Style!
What is high school without a little mischief? In High School Years, discover an all new mischievous side to your teen Sims as they pull pranks. Mark up the whiteboard, leave a stink capsule in your classmate’s locker, or mess with the school’s PA system, but don’t get caught! Successfully pranking other Sims will increase your mischief skill, but being discovered will have consequences on relationships, as well as lead to trust issues.
Back at home, you can make your teen Sim’s bedroom an oasis that fully reflects their personality and style, as unique as they are. Teen Sims can hang out in the bedrooms, with Sims now able to sit crossed-legged on the bed together and have pillow fights. Need to sneak out of the house after curfew? Sims can exit the house via The E window and trellis ladder, and climb down the side of a house.
Fashion is the ultimate form of self-expression, and has always been a huge part of The Sims. As part of The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion Pack, your Sim’s fashion options are growing even larger via a collaboration with Depop, the circular fashion marketplace app where the next generation comes to discover unique items. Sims can discover clothing items designed by real-world Depop sellers Jeremy Salazar, Sha’an D’Antes, Lapoze McTribouy, Selena Williams and Bella McFadden in-game at the local thrift store and boba hangout, ThrifTea, and earn Simoleons by selling outfits they curate and hype on the new in-game Trendi app and become a “Simfluencer” in the process.
Take pictures of your Sims’ new outfits at the mural from artist Monica Ahanonu, displayed on the side of ThrifTea, drawing inspiration from The Sims x Depop collaboration.
Star Quarterbacks, Prom Queens and Valedictorians
It wouldn’t be a true high school adventure without prom and graduation.
Perhaps the most nerve-wracking yet exciting night of a teen Sims’ high school years is prom. You’ll be able to customize every aspect of your Sim’s prom, beginning with prom preparation and the event itself. Sims can go solo, ask someone to the prom, go with friends, or skip out altogether. From there, players can dive into the details including creating and presenting a promposal sign, selecting outfits, having friends over to get ready, and voting for prom royalty. Players can also plan out their dance routines, music, snacks, and more. How a Sim prepares for and participates in prom will impact their relationships going forward!
And then, of course, the high school experience culminates with graduation, the ceremony bookending a Sim’s time at Copperdale High. It’s a chance to celebrate with friends and family, and welcome in the next stage of life. Sims can prepare before the main event by inviting guests, deciding their outfit, and acquiring gifts for friends and teachers. All the decisions your Sim has made throughout their high school journey will impact how their graduation plays out. Sims can choose whether or not they attend, but they won’t be invited to graduate if their grades don’t meet the mark!
No matter how you choose to live out your High School Years in The Sims 4, there are no wrong answers. Unless it’s a test you forgot to study for.

ICONIC TEEN MOMENTS
