Turns out The Sims 4 Patch Notes weren’t as precise…
Yesterday’s update for The Sims 4 – which consisted of only major fixes for the My Wedding Stories Game Pack – has also touched on the subject of Save Game Errors.
In case you missed out on the news, over the course of March 2022 players have noticed a significant increase in Errors when trying to save their game.
The “Save” feature in the Game Options would sometimes cause the game to display an Error Code: 0 message. Sometimes the game would be transparent to let the player know that the Save feature doesn’t work, and sometimes players would just lose progress altogether without even knowing if the game saved properly.
The Sims Team has swiftly acknowledged the issue and stated that they will be releasing a fix for the issue soon. For the time being they also published an official workaround which seems to have solved most of the issues until the official fix!
The latest Sims 4 Patch Notes were a little bit…discouraging about the issue to say the least.
We are aware of the Error 0 Save Bug, are actively investigating and we will provide an update in the coming weeks. Please continue to report issues you might be experiencing via AnswersHQ.
Many were left wondering on how many weeks would it take for a critical issue like this to officially be resolved across platforms.
Luckily SimGuruNinja shared reassuring words and reasoning behind the wording in the Patch Notes:
It’ll be out a lot faster than that.

At the time these patch notes had to be locked down and translated we weren’t 100% sure the exact fix date for this issue support so gave a more general range of time so as not to over promise.
We know more today & can say the fix is coming sooner.

There’s a ton of moving parts and timelines in everything we do. Always trying to balance speed of communication with accuracy of information. Will always try to clarify when possible.

With that being said – we should be expecting the issue to be resolved “a lot faster” than expected. Stay tuned!
