Wait, is the chair floating or standing?

Have you ever wanted to know how builders do things such as make objects larger or smaller, rotate and move objects freely outside of the grid, and elevate items to place them on surfaces that normally don’t have object slots, like the tops of fridges and microwaves?

We’re going to show you how on both PC and consoles!

Resize Objects

PC
  1. Enter the cheat bb.moveobjects on
  2. With an object selected, use the [ and ] keys to scale the object larger or smaller.
Console
  1. Enter the cheat bb.moveobjects on. This cheat won’t disable your trophies/achievements.
  2. With an object selected, use the left/right directional buttons to scale the object larger or smaller.

Move Objects Outside the Grid

PC
  1. With an object selected, hold the Alt key to freely place objects.
  2. To rotate freely, drag the mouse in the direction you wish to rotate while holding Alt.
Console
  1. With an object selected, press L2 (PS4) or LT (Xbox) twice to toggle to free placement. This button toggles between full, half, and free tile placement.
  2. To rotate freely, press L1+R1 (PS4) or LB+RB (Xbox) with an object selected, then use the right analog stick to rotate.

Elevate Objects

  1. Enter the cheat bb.moveobjects on
  2. With an object selected, use the 0 and 9 keys to raise or lower the height of an object.
Console
  1. Enter the cheat bb.moveobjects on. This cheat won’t disable your trophies/achievements.
  2. With an object selected, press L2+R2 (PS4) or LT+RT (Xbox) and use the up/down directional buttons to raise or lower the height of an object.
