I’ve seen plenty of messages and reports saying that simmers about a particular big feature that came with The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack isn’t working… at all.
In case you guys are not aware, one of the Celebrity Level 5 perks is the ability to run your own Lifestyle Brand which lets you sell merch, accessories and other themed objects that you can select from the menu. You also have an option to give your Brand a name and an audience which you’ll be selling your Brand to.
After purchasing the top tier Lifestyle Brand Perk you have the ability to start off your brand using the computer for 300 Simoleons.
After spending your Simoleons you’ll be greeted with a special User Interface where you can fully customize your brand which will later bring you big bucks to your funds.
However, after doing all that and confirming that you are ready to launch your brand the game will completely ignore everything you’ve done. I’ve tried launching my brand several times but with no luck. I’ve also asked around on social media and it’s apparent that this is an issue with the game that almost everyone is experiencing.
Hopefully The Sims Team will come up with a hot fix to this solution in an upcoming update considering there are also some crucial bugs to be fixed in the game…

I can’t figure out how to rename my career? I’ve tried the phone, computer etc but to call city hall isn’t an option. Is it only available if your sim is unemployed?

Your Sim has to be unemployed to register with the Ministry of Labour. If your Sim is unemployed, use the phone to register with the Ministry of Labour. You’ll be able to give your Sim a job title and description of your choosing.
My sims is acting level 5 still her celebrity points aren’t going up like after notable newcomer the bar hasn’t moved she posts on social media performs in public but nothing
That isn’t necessarily a bug. I find it quite hard to become famous and in my game it took a while too because with every new fame level the bar rises slower. What might help you is getting gold on every working day and interacting in the public spaces of Del Sol Valley, e. g. perform a scene for tips.
Yeah, what can I say? I love the game but I hate how it is handled by EA. I pay a lot of money for it so they should deliver it in perfect condition.
Are you guys coming out with sims 4 University at any point
I’m having problems with the lawn tool, I can change the colors. It doesn’t do anything, can’t use anything from that tool.
Turn off the laptop mode. Then it should work again.
Any word on this being fixed? Didn’t realize it was broken until I just realized I kept trying and trying and nothing happened. Then I came across this post….this really sucks that it doesn’t work.
I just discovered that bug!!! My Sim is fully experienced in acting, she’s a top star, has all the perks but I can’t make the life brand products and have wasted $600 Simoleans on it. It asks me to fill in the information about the product but then it does nothing. I really really hope this is fixed soon. I’m really enjoying “Get Famous” and being able to use that would be awesome!
Has this been fixed yet?? The sim i wanted to have a lifestyle brand finally is famous enough to do so… and it’s not working.
