The Sims Team left some bits and pieces of the upcoming The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack in the latest game update. One of the things they left are the visuals of a ghost who died from sunlight. This type of death can normally be caused by a vampire who gets exposed to sunlight for too long.
To trigger this death and turn your Sim into a ghost who died by sunlight instantly, simply enter the testingcheats true + traits.equip_trait Vampire_Sun cheats.

Dear Diary, it’s Vlad again.
It feels good to still write in you daily. After two centuries in Forgotten Hollow these entries help keep my memory fresh – and a vampire has to have sharp wits to live this long!
I woke up rather early today, around 4:30 pm. I’ve always been an early riser. I like to be up and out of the coffin early enough to watch those last awful rays of sunlight die over the mountains. I made quick work of a plasma pack to help satisfy my thirst, as an early breakfast.
By sunset I started on my daily routine, beginning with some haunting melodies on the pipe organ. I must say, I’ve gotten pretty good after all these years. As soon as those last pesky rays of sun had gone, I went out to walk the grounds of my estate. My mist form concealed me nicely as I drifted through the headstones in the cemetery. The fog rises quite nicely at night, and it further concealed my movements. This is my favorite time of night. The soft purple glow of the plasma fruit trees, the Sixam mosquito trap plants making a delightful crunch noise as they pick bugs out of the air. But then I heard all the nightlife picking up down in the town center, and realized I was feeling pretty thirsty again.
I headed down the hill to the town center a little after 8 pm. I’m no narcissist, but I really do love to gaze at my statue prominently displayed at the center of it all. The Sims in this town think the statue is the of my Great Grandfather, Vladislaus Straud the First. The local vampires know the truth though; I founded this town and I still run it. As I was sitting there admiring that handsome statue, I spotted what I was looking for: two oblivious Sims heading off towards the waterfall for a little late night stroll.
I quickly vanished into the mist and reappeared right by them, calling upon my dark powers to quickly mesmerize the gentleman, while compelling his friend to allow me a drink. There is nothing like FRESH plasma!
Alas, my pleasant meal was interrupted by those annoying Vatore siblings, Caleb and Lilith. They just showed up, dispelled my mesmerized Sims, and started lecturing me about alternatives options to the traditional methods of thirst quenching. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, they followed by starting in on my wardrobe choices, personal hygiene, and showing my dark form in public. I don’t know what they have against grey coats. I have a hundred of them, they go with everything and always stay in style. Trust me, I should know.
Anyway, I digress. The point is, they were ruining my night and it was time to put them in their place. We agreed to a showdown like the good old days. At high moon, we would meet in front of my estate for some not-so friendly vampire sparring. We clashed in the air and we clashed on the ground, and as predicted I was the victor every time. When Caleb had had enough he finally hung his head in shame and marched back down the hill to his home. If he wants to best me in one of my epic duels he better start carrying garlic.
At this time, it started getting early, and the sun was coming up, so I spent some time in dark meditation to re-energize myself and read through the last few chapters of the Encyclopedia Vampirica (which I highly recommend, as it’s very informative AND interesting). Not to mention, most of it is about me. As the sun rose, I descended into my crypt and found just enough time to finish this entry before I close the lid on this coffin and settle in for some deep undead rest.

Beside the 8 Traits that you can pick in Create A Sim, Toddlers also get to earn 2 Reward Traits that you will transfer in the Children life stage. Here’s how you can earn them!
Happy ToddlerThe Happy Toddler trait is rewarded to a child who just aged up from a toddler life stage who had all 5 toddlers skills (Imagination, Communication, Thinking, Movement and Potty) to at least Level 3.
Your Sim got a good jump on skills as a toddler. This helps them gain all skills a bit faster.
Top-Notch ToddlerThe Top-Notch Toddler is a reward trait rewarded to a child who just aged up from a toddler life stage who had all 5 toddler skills maxed out to Level 5 (except for potty skill whose maximum is level 3).
Your Sim got such a strong jump on skills as a toddler, they improve all other skills extra fast.
The great thing about these reward traits is that the effort you put into your toddlers will influence the gameplay of your Sim as he/she grows up – meaning that, if they have any of these 2 traits, their skills will build faster than usual.

Get ready for the trip of a lifetime! On September 4th 2007, Sims 2 Bon Voyage was released!
Now, I did not get this expansion when it was released in 2007. The first time I personally played it was in 2014, when EA was doing a free promotion for the sims 2 and I was lucky enough to receive the pack.
When I started playing with it, I was amazed on how much better it was than Sims 3 World adventures.
To me, World Adventures seems too… linear. What I mean is that it doesn’t feel as open ended. It’s almost like the game in World Adventures forces you to complete tasks, and quests and all that jazz. Bon Voyage, to me, just feels a lot more open ended and more like a legit sims game.
In the expansion, you have 3 different worlds to experience. Each world has a theme.
The first one has a theme that is similar to a Far East vacation.
The second has to deal with a tropical paradise. And lastly
the third feels like a rocky mountain escape in the woods.
Each sub- neighborhood has plenty of resorts to chose from, all being rated by how many days you stay (No visa points here, thankfully!) There are actions and NPC’s that you can only find in the sub neighborhoods. The same goes with collectibles and gifts that your sims can buy, either at the hotel or resort they are staying at, or by means of a community lot.
Sims can go on tours, which is when your sims leave, and you are given a series of chance cards. Depending on what actions you choose on those chance cards, the tour may be really good, or… be bad.
When you return from your getaway, Sims also gain temporary Vacation Benefits after they return from a good vacation, or receive negative benefits if the vacation was bad. Sims can also teach their friends about the culture and show them cool things from where they were just visiting.
Again, this pack added so many new elements to the game. And it is always fun to see what king of mischief your sims can run into. Who Knows, you might just run into someone rare!

After the launch of The Sims 4 Toddlers Update on January 12th, many Simmers who didn’t play The Sims 4 for a very long time decided to give the game another chance as the new life stage brings plenty of new gameplay.

After reading the comments on Facebook and Twitter, some Simmers didn’t play The Sims 4 for months (even years) due to lack of family gameplay (mostly because there were no Toddlers). Some of them even mentioned that they had to go back to The Sims 3 because the Legacy Challenge is far more enjoyable when you have toddlers. Thanks to the Toddlers Update, many of them came back.
What’s really interesting is that The Sims 4 had this amount of online active players only in the week of the launch (September 2nd, 2014). There were updates like Pools, Ghosts and CAS Gender tools which brought a few thousands of simmers back to the game, but that didn’t last long.

The Sims Team released a brand new 30-second gameplay trailer for The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack!
There’s no denying that The Sims Team is very generous recently in terms of new gameplay for The Sims 4. Problem is, some players who prefer building over playing The Sims 4 still find that the Build Mode is lacking some content and features.
SimGuruHouts wrote a quick post saying that they didn’t forget about builders and that they have a list of build-related features that they want to add to the game.
We have a list of build-related stuff we want to add to the game. Can’t give more details or timelines for when you’ll see stuff, but hang in there, I promise you haven’t been forgotten!
After the Toddlers update, it certainly feels like The Sims Team is actually listening to us. Let’s hope that they continue with this overwhelming generosity and deliver great build content in 2017!
