The Sims 4 Experiences Mod Pack: Coming Soon
Introducing the Experiences Mod Pack!
The Sims 4 Experiences Mod Pack is a revamped version of Affective combined with my abandoned Cradle-to-Grave mod. Its main feature is that when Sims are in a certain emotion, they will build a “skill” based on that emotion, which enables Sims to randomly gain a Moodlet based on their past experiences. This means that what your Sims do will have a greater effect on their future. There are also other features related to a Sim’s past and the condition they’re in.

Lifetime Emotions
- There are lifetime emotion skills for Angry, Confident, Embarrassed, Energized, Focused, Inspired, Flirty, Playful and Sad. Bored and Tense no longer have their own skills (while they did in Affective) but will instead boost Sad and Angry respectively.
- Just like with Affective, younger Sims will build their lifetime emotions faster than older Sims.
- A Sim’s financial status now also effects how quick they remember their experiences. Poor Sims will remember most emotions faster than rich Sims, with the exception of Angry and Confident, which rich Sims remember faster.
- Unlike Affective, which had Sims enter a Moodlet of a specific level based on the skill, Experiences has Sims enter a Moodlet based on a random chance depending on the skill level, which can build up and increase if the chance is triggered while the Sim already has it. This means Sims will no longer be neutral one minute and suddenly gain a +4 Inspired Moodlet.
- Sims who are level 4 or above in a lifetime emotion skill can reminisce about an emotion while they’re already in it. This is a basic social interaction that will force the Sim to receive the lifetime emotion’s Moodlet (or if they already have it, it will become longer or increase in level).
Financial Status
A Sim’s Net Worth (lot value combined with money on hand) will have an effect on how they interact with the world.
- Sims with a Net Worth of less than §10,000 will have a permanent +3 Sad Moodlet which can only be removed by getting more money.
- Sims with a Net Worth of between §10,000-§50,000 have a random chance of receiving a +1 Sad Moodlet every so often.
- Sims with a Net Worth of §200,000 or above have a random chance of receiving a +1 Confident Moodlet, which increases to +2 for Sims with a Net Worth of §300,000 or above.
- Richer Sims will build Fun and Social needs slower than poorer Sims.
- Sims with a Net Worth of less than §80,000 will receive the “Grateful for Family” and “Grateful for Partner” Moodlets when they’re around their family or partner for long enough.
Age Changes
A Sim’s age will have a greater effect on their emotions and needs.
- Child Sims have a random chance of receiving the Sweet Childhood (Playful) and Hyper Childhood (Energized) Moodlets which have a random level of 1-3.
- Teen Sims have a random chance of receiving the Swing of Gloom (Sad), Swing of Anger (Angry) and Swing of Passion (Flirty) which also have a random level of 1-3.
- Child Sims’ Fun decays at 2x the normal rate.
- Teens’ and Young Adults’ Fun decays at 1.5x the normal rate, and Social decays at 2x the normal rate.
Rags to Riches Aspiration
Experiences introduces a brand new aspiration, Rags to Riches. This is like the Grilled Cheese aspiration, in that it has to be unlocked. The aspiration will become available for all Teen and above Sims in the current household when the Net Worth drops below §10,000.
The goals involved earning money, buying objects and eventually becoming rich!
Child Party and Teen Party
Experiences marks the return of the Child Party and Teen Party social events from the abandoned Cradle-to-Grave mod. These function similar to normal Social Events in that there’s a set of goals to complete, but the goals are tailored for the specific age groups.

The Sims 4: The Junk Mod
Cinderellimouse has released her new Mod for The Sims 4 which lets you scavenge through the big pile of Junk and collect some cool items. Although it’s similar to the ‘rummage’ interaction that can be done on the Trash Can, this Mod unlocks plenty of new objects that your Sim can collect.
In order for this Mod to work, you’ll need to have Get to Work, Get Together, Spa Day and Outdoor Retreat installed.

The Sims 4: The ”Friends” TV Show Challenge

Hi guys! I got into the idea of building a challenge based around the tv-show Friends, so I began a game and thought of a way it could work. Hope you’ll like it!
Basic rules for the challenge:
There are individual rules for each character, but these rules are sort of the basics for the whole challenge.
You can create all the characters from the series, Chandler, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Monica, but you don’t have to. When making the challenge, I create my own characters and I thought that was pretty fun. Though the characters still have their individual goals based on the original characters from the show.1. You create 6 sims. 3 boys and 3 girls. Again, you decide if you want the characters from the show or just create your own.
2. 2 of them has to be siblings.
3. They have to start out as young adults.
4. Move your sims into the 50×40 lot in Newcrest. You’ll now have 21.500 simoleons. *You aren’t allowed to use money cheats
5. You can spend the remaining money on whatever you want, though It’s recommended you spend it on 6 beds, a toilet and a fridge… duh.
6. At least two of your sims has to become a couple. It doesn’t have to be your Ross and Rachel or you Chandler and Monica, though
7. Significant others outside the group can move in with them, but not bring any money.CONTINUE WITH RULES

Want to know more about the fine people working on The Sims 4? Good news! We’re starting up a new series: SimGuru Spotlights, where we talk to a different member of The Sims Studio and ask them to answer questions about their life, their passions, and, most importantly, their favorite ice cream flavor.
First up, it’s SimGuruRomeo!
Can you give a brief introduction to yourself?
My name is Antonio Romeo, AKA SimGuruRomeo. I like long walks on the beach and… oh wait, sorry wrong thread. I am a Producer on The Sims 4 team. I am still relatively new, clocking in at only two years. I have worked on several features such as Gardening from The Sims 4, the Scientist Career from The Sims 4Get to Work Expansion Pack*, and Clubs from The Sims 4 Get Together Expansion Pack*.
What do you do on The Sims 4?
Being a Producer on The Sims is a lot of fun, it can also be quite hectic. Every day is completely different. Some days I am playing the game and making sure it is fun and engaging. I am constantly finding ways to tweak and better the game. On slower days I try to spend as much time on the forums listening to Simmers’ feedback, ideas, and comments – which is a ton of fun! Crazier days consist of me running around like a mad man talking with engineers, designers, modelers, and animators to try and kick a new feature off and make sure everyone has everything they need to start working.
What’s the best thing about being a SimGuru?
The best thing about being a SimGuru is that I get to talk with all of you. This is the reason most of us become SimGurus. We all love talking with our fans. I am on the forums every day listening to what Simmers are saying. I am one of the quieter SimGurus, but I do love listening, and trust me I am listening!
What do you love most about The Sims franchise?
When I was younger I played a lot of The Sims. I spend hours building out dream houses and cool structures. Most of my time was spent in build. The amount of creativity and freedom that build mode gives players is great. I always love seeing what our fans make, there are builds on the Gallery that I can only dream of making you simmers are truly creative.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
I am a huge ice cream lover! I am also not picky when it comes to sweets. I will eat almost any type of ice cream. I don’t think I have an all-time favorite, however I love ice cream that is both sweet and savory. One of my favorites is Chubby Hubby by Ben and Jerry’s. It is vanilla ice cream with peanutty fudge-covered pretzels with fudge and peanut butter. It is AMAZING!

Your role is to report any news or announcements made by The Sims Team. To make your job easier, we know that announcements usually happen between 6PM and 8PM CET (9AM – 11 AM PST). Pack announcements are usually done on Tuesdays, The Sims Blog releasements on Wednesdays and The Sims 4 Updates on Thursdays. (Please note that there are always exceptions!)
Requirements:
- Above average English language knowledge.
- 18 + years old.
- Part of the Simming Community since The Sims 4’s release.
- Own The Sims 4.
It would be good if:
- You have fair knowledge of WordPress
- You worked previously on reporting News.
- You have all the latest Sims 4 Games.

Community Reporter
Your role is to report great releasements by Simmers (Mods, Custom Content, YouTube Videos, Stories, Challenges etc.). To make your job easier, we’ll provide you links of websites that Simmers use as their creative outlet.
Requirements:
- Above average English language knowledge.
- 18 + years old.
- Part of the Simming Community since The Sims 4’s release.
- Own The Sims 4 / The Sims 3
It would be good if:
- You have fair knowledge of WordPress
- You worked previously on reporting News.
- You have all the latest Sims 4 Games and a big portion of Sims 3 Games.
