SimGuruDrake confirmed on The Sims Official Forums that there won’t be a new life state with The Sims 4 City Living expansion pack. This is the second time an expansion pack in The Sims Franchise doesn’t come with a new life state, with The Sims 4 Get Together being the first.
There are no new life states featured in the new EP.
I think you will find there is a lot of stuff in this EP and I hope you give us a chance to share that information with you throughout the coming weeks 🙂

Wouldn’t this be the third expansion without a lifestate? TS2 Freetime didn’t really have one. It had the Genie, but that was an npc/object that wasn’t playable or anything. I don’t really consider that to be one.

I Aculy understand why tehr get away from Life stages in EPs! Ther should be its own EP for them

TS2 Freetime had zombies (just like University) that were a playable lifestate, even if they were recycled.
I honestly hope at some point they give us back the other life states and try to not make them as weird as they did in Sims 3. I guess it’s a ratings issue for the gore factor but, anyways can we at least try to bring back the supernaturals, or pets, or toddlers. Sheesh I would even just take seasons back.
Personally I’m glad there are no Vampires, but a shame for those who did want them. Just hoping when/if Seasons comes out it won’t also be tied to a specific world, that would be awful. Won’t be buying city living until it’s on 50% sale though, like all the other EPs GPs & SPs have been 🙂
