The Sims team has confirmed that the next major Sims 4 update is scheduled for "late September", marking the start of another round of fixes and some potential new in-game content. While a full laundry list isn't expected for at least a couple of weeks, players won't have to wait long for some developer insight. Another Dev Drop-In Q&A is set to take place on September 1st, with members of the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Verification (QV) teams answering community questions.
Our late September Base Game update will also fix an issue where married Sims were reverting to Partners after entering CAS. Watch for the full Laundry List of upcoming fixes in the coming weeks:https://t.co/4ZiQbmAdKL

When to Expect the Laundry List
One thing we do know for certain: the Laundry List will not be released on September 1st, as confirmed by Cade on The Sims official Discord server.

This leaves September 8th, 15th, or 22nd as the most likely candidates, all lining up neatly with the late-September patch window.
What to Expect From the Next Sims 4 Update
While we don't have a complete laundry list, the update is confirmed to be fixing a recent bug that has been plaguing Simmers. As reported on the EA forums (with 1142 upvotes at the time of writing), players have been facing an issue in which married Sims will no longer be married to their significant other after entering and exiting Create-A-Sim.

The next update is also a likely candidate for the update in which we see the previously teased free Create-A-Sim and Build/Buy content. The teaser featured new kids' clothing options, the return of the Olive Spectre hairstyle from The Sims 2, and an abundance of new Build/Buy objects.

I hope they fix romantic partners randomly yelling at and insulting each other. Plus the loud voices from athletic sims.
I just wanted new DLC or anything that adds new gameplay modes.

Oh yes.. especially since there are so many things that could be added…
Ahh, I dream of something like Into the Future :3
The infant randomly out of his crib is annoying. They need to fix that!
Sims is in such a weird spot right now. I get it, I understand why, and I’m not really hating. I’d just love to know where things are actually heading, what the future is from EA, not from some “insider.” Bug fixes are great, but how long is this “new update: 3 fixes and a hairstyle” going to be the only thing we hear about the game?

I imagine we’ll be sticking with updates, kits, and Marketplace packs until the reveal of the next game—Project X, or whatever it ends up being called.
There’s alot of corruption going on with console. Save errors constantly and controls stop working. Hopefully they fix it
