Sims Community is looking for a passionate and creative writer to join our team.
This is a paid freelance position lasting until September, with potential for the position to become permanent.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Covering news-worthy events in the gaming industry, specifically inside of The Sims franchise and related titles.
- Covering community content including custom content and other noteworthy community events.
- Pitching articles to the General Manager on a regular basis.
You should have access to and be a current player of The Sims 4. This role will require you to cover DLC and UGC for the game and it is necessary to have prior knowledge and interest in the franchise, you will need to be someone who knows the game inside-out.
You will be required to cover news as it happens including leaks, DLC announcements and any other time-sensitive content. Applicants are encouraged to consider their time zone when applying, announcements usually happen during business hours PDT time.
You should have prior experience writing blogs, articles or any either written content. Experience covering The Sims will be favoured.

When will you start covering Sims 4 again, I know you are talking a break but I really miss this website.
If possible can you guys please come out with more toddler and baby equipment like walker, strollers, swings, play pins, ect. I really liked that in the sims 3 and really enjoy functional equipment.
I’d like to be apart of the team but unfortunately, I’m only well-versed in The Sims 2 & 3, not so much 4.
